An RP log for Rory Avery Echo [icy serenade] and Zeek [Lord_Lillith]
PostPosted: Wed Mar 26, 2014 12:52 pm

Oh, c'mon, pleeeease?! I need some company!
Rory: With her bag slung over her shoulder, and newsboy cap fixed at just the right angle, Rory grinned to herself in the mirror and nodded. Yup. This was a good look for the cafe tonight. She had a book tucked away in her bag -- that she probably wouldn't even think of reading over conversing with others as she listened to the music -- and an excitement for the night. It had been a bit since she'd gone out. Yeah, she didn't really get depressed often, but rolling the latest romance flop off her shoulders this time didn't come easy. All the same, she was ready for her night amongst friends, some good tea [cause boy oh boy did she hate coffee], and some new music. And with that, she strolled on out and down the way, pulling her scarf up over her mouth just a bit to keep the small chill in the air at bay.

Zeek- He sat under a tree and read one of the books he hadn't read yet, this one was about a crazy woman who kidnapped a writer. It was a crazy book, the woman freaked him the heck out. She was doing crazy things. Are all woman this crazy? His lil Eek squeaked and climbed to his shoulder and tried to sleep. Zeek pet his lil friend, it's name was Eek, his only real friend as of lately. All his friends seem to cause drama and trouble. Making noodles look at him like he was a trouble maker, but he wasn't. So he kinda inched himself away from those guys and read. He loved reading because it seemed like it was the only thing he could do now that he stopped hanging around hi rowdy friends. He didn't mind, as long as he had Eek, his lil bat to keep him relaxed, he was just fine.

Rory: As she made her way toward the cafe, she couldn't help noticing a fella reading a book beneath a tree. Curious, she stepped over beside the tree, peering over his shoulder to try and sneak a peek at the book. "Whatcha readin'? Is it any good?... Ooooh hey! What a cute little friend you have there!" she said as she noticed his little companion. After a moment, she gave a puzzled look. "Say... Why are you out here reading like this when there's still a chill in the air? Seems a little crazy to me~" She chimed with a giggle. "I'm heading off to a cafe. I'm sure you could be a lot more comfortable there and still enjoy reading with a cup of coffee or tea or something like that. Not to mention some company." She enjoyed meeting others, and honestly wouldn't have minded having someone to walk with on her way.

Zeek-- Zeek jumped as he heard the voice, then looked at the female. "Erm, I don't mind a chill in the air, it is when it is hot out, that bothers me, plus my fur keeps me and my little friend here warm. His name is Eek." He closed his book. "It is really good but pretty nasty, makes me cringe quite a few times. It is pretty good, but I don't know if you would enjoy it." He thought about the cafe. "Sure, I wouldn't mind going to a cafe, you seem like a sweet girl. My name is Zeek, nice to meet you. I honestly don't like coffee, it is way too bitter, though I do love Iced cap's, I wonder if they would have those there?" He stood up and put his book back into his backpack he had with him. He smiled at the female.

Rory: Her eyes went wide as he gave a jolt. Apparently he didn't quite notice her! "Oops! Sorry for giving you a start." she said with a giggle. Canting her head to the side, she flicked an ear. Rory gave a smile as the other introduced his little buddy before himself. Unable to help it, she reached out and scritched her claws lightly under the little guy's chin. "A nasty book, huh? I like a bunch of different stuff, so who knows. Maybe I'll have to snitch it from you." Rory teased with a wink. She grinned as he offered up his name and his dislike of coffee. "Oh good! I hate coffee, too. Nasty bitter crap. It's nice to meetcha, Zeek~ I'm Rory. Rory Avery Echo... But that's a bit of a mouth full, so everyone just calls me Rory." And as Zeek stood up, she adjusted the strap on her bag, grinning before she took a couple steps. "Ready to go?" she asked as she turned to look back at him.

Eek cooed as his chin is scritched.

Zeek-- "I think Eek might be in love!" He patted Eek who was wanting more scritches. "Settle down Eek, you silly bat." He stretched then gets up to fallow Rory. "Rory is a very pretty name, your other names are pretty too, but my mind is bad with names." He smiled at her wondering what was in store for him at this cafe? Would he like the music? Would he really want to read with the company of such a pretty noodle.

Rory: Giggling, she couldn't help smiling at the little bat. "Well I think I just might have to say the feeling is mutual, lil guy~" she chimed to Eek before starting off. "Awww... Thanks, Zeek~ I know it's a bit much, but I wouldn't worry too much about remembering all of it. Just Rory to you~" She Fidgeted with the strap of her messenger bag as they started walking again. The darn thing wasn't staying in a comfortable spot. "So Zeek" she started "Tell me a bit more about yourself." Rory was ever so curious about her company.

Zeek-- He smiled at Rory. "Hey, give me your bag, I would love to carry it for you, I'm strong like bull!!" He joked. "Well, my parents were nice, but very um, simple you could say? They are gone now, but they loved me very much, so that made up for all the bad times in my life. People seemed to think it was funny that my parents had disabilities, but what are you gonna do, children will be children. I loved my parents so much, they died when I was young in some kind of accident that I don't remember much about it, kinda blocked it out. Though I don't think it was an accident, too many noodles made fun of them, and didn't show up at their funerals. But they were all paid for by their savings they had." He sighed for a second. "I don't think you would like to hear the rest, I wasn't always so calm."

Rory: She blinked a couple times at his offer. "Uhhh.. You sure? I don't want to impose. It's just being a little weird today..." But she didn't want to be rude, plus she really didn't want to keep having to fight her bag, so she gratefully pulled it off from over her head and held it out to him. As he spoke about his parents, she gave a soft gasp, an honest little hint of a tear welling up in her eye that she quickly swiped away. "That sounds awful. I'm so sorry you had to go through something like that, especially at such a young age." Frowning some, she bumped him lightly as they walked. "Well... At least they loved you. A kid can't honestly ask for too much more than that, huh?" Smiling, she prodded some. "So what do you like doing nowadays?,, Reading aside, of course." she said with a giggle.

Zeek-- "It isn't a problem!, Helping a lovely lady out." He takes the bag and puts it over his arm and head. "About the things I do, well I used to hang around a rough crowd, and they took up all my time. I just decided I needed to separate myself from the negativity. So now I'm just now seeing what I like to do, which so far is reading. I probably will like this place we are going to. I'm pretty boring now." He laughed swishing his tail. "Sorry, I'm not used to nice girls, and um, I think I would like music, don't have a radio of my own though. I seem so boring." He sighs, and fallows Rory.

Rory: Suddenly feeling a bit naked without her bag, she began to fiddle with her scarf over her jacket. "Ahhaha.. I don't think I've ever had anyone call me a lovely lady before." she said in a happy chiming tone. Large ears flicking as she listened, Rory nodded. "Sounds like that could have been really hard to pull away from. Good for you for doing it! Means you got guts and strength in yah." she encouraged as she smiled widely. "And pffffbt.. You're not boring at all. Reading opens the mind to adventures that one normally can't experience! That is hardly boring. And... Really?! You don't have a radio? Fer serious? That's some sort of crazy talk there! We'll have to do something about that later. For now!... we go chill at the cafe. There's supposed to be this new area band playing tonight or something." Taking in a deep breath through her nose, she let it out and grinned. "I love the smell of fresh talent in music. Oh hey! We're here~" she said as they made it to the cafe. Excitedly, she pranced right over to the door, hooking her claws through it to pull the door open. "Newbies first~"

Zeek-- "Wow, this place looks amazing." He tucked Eek into a pocket to not alarm anyone. "You stay in there lil one, just in case ok lil guy."
Eek Squeaked happily and fell asleep.

"He is normally sleeping right now anyways, so I don't think Eek minds being tucked away." He walked into the place looking around, looking at the band and smiled. "I bet they are good" He walked to a table in the back and pulled out a chair for Rory. "Is this a good spot? I kinda like the back, If you want, we can move up to the front though, it is up to you."

Rory: She gave the biggest grin she could muster as he seemed in awe of the place, giggling a little as Eek got tucked away. "It is amazing! The drinks and the food... well the little bit of food they serve here, anyways, are sooo good. And they usually find the best musicians and whatnot to come around. It's one of my favorite hangout spots." Stepping in after him, Rory stepped up to the counter, ordering a couple drinks and a snack for them before turning back around and hooking her arm around one of his. "I hope you don't mind, but I got some drinks and something to munch coming." All smiles, she pulled him over to a table that was off to the side near the wall, but also a few tables away from the stage. Unhooking her arm from his, she quickly took a seat in a chair against the wall, propping her arms up on the table in front of her and resting her chin on her claws after she locked them together, just smiling up at him.

Zeek-- He sat down, placing his hands on the table. "That is good, I am a little hungry." He smiled back at Rory, he realized how pretty Rory was and blushed. He had never been anywhere with anyone so pretty before. He began to worry if he would start to blush and make a fool of himself. "Um, this place is really cool, I bet really nice noodles stay here, nothing I'm used to. Though I am trying to be nice, which isn't really hard when you aren't around bad behaving noodles." He began to fiddle with a napkin nervously.

Rory: She was still all smiles as Zeek took the seat across from her. Good! That meant it would be easier to talk to him and see his face and reactions. She liked that about conversations. It was another way to get to know someone else. "Gooooood! I'm glad you're hungry! It means that you'll prolly enjoy the lil munchy even more~" She couldn't really see his blushing cheeks in the dim lighting, but his fidgeting made her giggle a bit. "Awww.. C'mon Zeek. I don't think you have it in you to be a rude dude even if you tried." To her, he really just seemed like one of those guys and she liked it!

Zeek -- He smiled at Rory, wondering what she could be interested in him, he was a quiet boring noodle now. Before he was a loud rowdy punk. He was glad he changed his life around. And now decided the next thing to buy is a radio. He then looked up into Rory's beautiful eyes and blushed some more. He wondered what this would happen next. "Um, so tell me abit about yourself, you look very pretty and interesting. You must have some interesting stories to tell." He smiled, looking into her eyes again, trying to control the blushing. He couldn't stop fidgeting with his napkin.

Rory: Sitting there, she watched him curiously as she began to pick up on some shy and maybe slightly embarrassed notes. Huh... Was she being too strange for him? Maybe too friendly with a stranger and it was making him uncomfortable? Oh how she hoped that honestly wasn't the case. He would say something right? Yet at the sound of his question, she snapped herself out of her little spacing out, laughing a bit at herself as she shrugged some. "There's not much to tell, really! I'm just a girl who's in love with music! It's been my one true romance who hasn't let me down." That probably sounded really weird, but hey... truth was truth! Still all smiles, she tugged her scarf off from around her neck, placing it off to the side on the table. "That aside... I do like reading when a book catches my attention. And I attempt to cook sometimes, but I'm not very good at it..." she said, giving a nervous giggle as she scratched her cheek.

Zeek-- "Oh you cook? Now I really want to try your cooking." He smiled. "I haven't had a decent meal in so long that I can't remember." He really tried relaxing, how could he have changed so much, just keep calm and positive. "Well, I'm really glad you brought me here, if music is that important to you, then I'm missing out, so thank you very much. Maybe we could go to a music store, and I will pick up a cd player, and then you can pick out some great music for me to listen to. I don't mean right away, just when you have free time, because I really think music will make me happy." He wondered if he was talking too much? Oh well, can't take it back now.

Rory: Sputtering, she shook her head, eyes wide open. "Oh noooo... You really don't want to do that. I am terrible in the kitchen! The gods of food would find me a loss cause! If you thought about trying something I made, I'd have to have you sign a waver!" she said with a little bit of a laugh... Cause let's face it... admitting the fact you can't cook right off the bat might be a bad thing. Giving a nervous laugh, she scratched her cheek lightly again before beaming. "Now music... Music I can hook you up with no problem!" Laughing again, Rory couldn't help being all smiles. This guy was too adorable! And then... the food finally made it to the table! "Ah! Thank you~" she chimed as their server dropped off the plate of cheese and bacon potato skins along with a pitcher of strawberry lemonade and ice tea. "I... Hope these are okay for you. Heh..." Oh boy, she hoped he wasn't too picky an eater!

Zeek-- He looked at the potatoes and just about died. He hadn't ever had these before, but they looked so good. "I think your choices are right on." He picked one up and too a bite. This had to be the best thing ever. "Mmm, so yummy..." He feasted on this potato skin. He wiped his hands, then looked back at Rory. "Well, we could learn together. I'm not good at all either, but if we worked together, we would get better." He smiled at her warmly. She was such a sweet girl, and so pretty. He poured them each a glass of the juice. He then sipped some of it and wondered if she would take him up on his offer.

Rory: She couldn't help but be totally amused as he went all starry eyed over potato skins... Well not that she could blame him! They were one of the best foods ever! And it wasn't until after he was done... and looking at her again, that she realized she had propped her chin up on her claws as she watched him... GAH! He would probably think her a total creeper. Coughing a little bit, she sat back, giving a nervous laugh. "Errr... Okaaaay... But I think we best have, like, a fire extinguisher on hand." Embarrassed to say it, but she'd cause a good few fires before. Nervously laughing again, she quickly grabbed the cup, and took a quick sip of the drink poured for her. "Heh... I just hope you're prepared for all sorts of kitchen disasters. I think I've been banned from kitchens in a few places." Not serious, but she should have been!
