Small IC description of character: Maple Syrup is a puppet woman with very woody, brown skin and orange fall leaves everywhere, especially her hair, which appears to just stay in that hairstyle and be completely made of twigs and leaves.
Her eyes and mouth have a yellowish glow to them, but seem very friendly, like a jack-o-lantern.
She wears the Cheshire cat cloak, semithere tail, and the semithere scarf in the traditional blue-theme, but has foregone the ears for an aura of shadowy magic that seems to cling to her and shift. She also has glowing, long, cyan claws - her weapon as a Cat. Both the claws and the aura are not visible/barely visible out of battle, but become apparent during battle - the claws are very long and sharp, and the aura becomes a miasmic and disturbing cloud... are those eyes? No, of course not.
Aside from being cool and magical, this has no effect on her stats. Its just cool.

"Gracious of you!" said sap, finishing it off cleanly with a kick. She looked longlingly as it shattered into pieces and vanished into data.
"Darn, I wanted to find out how many licks it would take to get to its center." she laughed, "Probably more than the amount of time we took to kill it! Ah well, there's tastier things than candy around here."
She shrugged. "Never had pudding... though I saw one that was more like a cake? Maybe there's many types of pudding." She wondered what his problem with water was. Eh, no need to ask. Halloween was full of all types! And she was perfectly willing to try to be friendly with all of them, if they'd let her.
"Well, I was in a few, during the summer you know?" she waited for the loot to appear, "But all my friends sorta phased out during the school year, and I had to study a lot... I really want to get into Amityville, you know? So, not for a while..." She shrugged, "This is better than those, I have to say!" she said, stretching.
"Oh well if you are ever in one, I use Haunting Lights for everything. So just Shoot me a PM and I'll play."
Cake sounds good. Just a word of warning Amityvill can be fun, but... it gets dangerous sometimes, Like the time we had like a ton a ton of little shadow things appear in the dorms. And keys and giant fire balls.... that was actually pretty fun too. But fixing my room afterwards sucked.
"Haunting Lights? I've been playing with a few usernames... Haven't found any that fit me yet... Well maybe this one." she pointed to her username on her head, "Either way, I can let you know in the PM..." she laughed merrily, "It'll be so much fun to play with a steady friend for once! The others just kinda... you know... come and go. Anyway..." her expression turned thoughtful.
"I... heard about the odd things that happen there sometimes... But I... really want to go. Been wanting to go for a really long time now..." she hesitated, "Hey, lets do this again later, right now I feel like exploring a bit more. Maybe I'll find more cake." she waved, "See ya later, Haunting lights!"
