Today, I found out two things.
1. Waxworms are the nastiest larvae I have ever dealt with.
2. My box turtles love them, and I will probably have to buy the nasties several hundreds of times over the course of my boxies' 50+ year life spans.
Thank you, PetSmart, for being out of mealworms, and making me buy waxworms, the nastiest of larvae on the face of this Earth.
And that was only half sarcastic.

I added a ten gallon filter to my twenty gallon, which already had a thirty gallon filter. Double filtration needed to happen. Badly. Took an hour to do a complete water change/tank scrub.
On another note, the turtles are enjoying their now-super-clean-tank.
