~::The Kids Who Leaped Through Time::~
(Seul Crater - 3:25 PM, After School. September 13, 2012)

In the morning hours over the skies of Okina City at the heart of the Supernatural Hotbed, a gaping, black hole opens...and from within, an unknown number of lights streak down from above, scattering all across the region...figures of unknown origin, unknown make-up, a mystery as true as there ever was...and behind them came the dark, streaks of blackness following behind the lights, dogging their movements in each direction...again, scattered. Where they came from is unknown, and what sort of events their arrival may portend remains a mystery to the few who bore witness to the strange phenomenon in the wee hours of the morning. However, one thing is abundantly clear; something strange is happening in the Supernatural Hotbed, and while that's not entirely unusual for the region, there's something that feels...eerie about the arrival, particularly in the darkness that followed them through the portal that opened itself in the sky. Something wrong...unnatural...but what awaits for those who dare to investigate the phenomenon is a strangeness that must be seen to be believed.

A hope sent out across time and space...the future...

...

One of the streaks of light and dark crashed somewhere on the destroyed crater of the Seul Hilltops outside of Inaba during the lunch hour of September 13th...what awaits, however, remains known only to those who dare to discover...

The Pursuer

As it had descended onto the new lands from the Corridor, the eerie glow from his helmet shifted around to observe the new surroundings of the time stream alien to it. As it's feet glided over the center of the crater, as if it itself was the cause of the landscape-changing crater, it withdrew it's blade from its holster with other weapons from other fallen enemies that it had slain before. It had, at that moment, took the time to acknowledge where it's next opponents were. Under a hushed wind, The Pursuer spoke words in a scragged voice, inaudible to all except itself. "Hunt....."

"Tick, tock...tick, tock."

"RUE-RUE?! NARUE?!"

Frantic, coal eyes shifted to and fro amidst the deep crater where the Seul Hilltop had once stood, but no matter how desperately they searched for a girl of a unique form, that infectious smile that made him all the more excited for whatever the world had to offer. His voice carried over the distance, ignorant of whatever else there might be around him. For the first time he stood at the center of a world that wasn't ruined by the Corruption, but he hadn't taken a second to truly enjoy it because there was somebody important missing. Though really, it was hard to tell that the world wasn't ruined if you were just looking at the mess of a crater...there was just this deep, empty space where something bigger should have been, and at the center of it were the two streaks of light that landed...Surripio and himself. And on the far side was the relentless suit of armor that hunted them, sword and shield in hand, a remnant stuck inside of the space between time that had locked onto them and begun pursuit. And even that couldn't seem to sway his attention from what was missing, not right off at any rate. Blue, painted skin seemed darker beneath the clouded sky. He was bouncing from foot-to-foot as he turned and looked, trying with all he could muster to sense her somewhere nearby, but to no avail. Something just wasn't right...

"Surri, Surri...the others aren't here! I have to meet back up with Rue-Rue; she can't be left alone like this! We've got to...Surri, are you listening? There's no time! And..." his eyes finally fell upon the hulk of armor with its glowing crimson eye, looming as though it meant to cleave them in twain the moment their turned their eyes away...or sooner yet. That wasn't normal. "No, no...it must have followed us, escaped from the Corridor and..." He paused again, sensing the impending attack...knowing that talking wasn't going to get them out of it. If they were going to find Narue and the others sooner, rather than later, they'd have to work together and stop whatever...this thing was. This Pursuer from the space between time. Foolish thing...it thought it had escaped the purgatory of time.

Surripio Rembrii.
Surri somehow managed to make it out of the corridor with the others, despite her own unremarkable efforts. She'd been almost positive she'd get taken by the Corruption, but with the timely intervention of the others, she'd made it through.
However, as she touched down in the world, and heard Aeon's voice...her heart almost instantly sank.
Figures....almost as soon as we get back..and the first thing.. she thought, before starting to push herself up, Aeon finally turning his attention to her to tell her what she already had noticed.
"I know Aeon, I know they're scattered.." she called, more than a little irritated, dusting herself off as he panicked over 'Rue-Rue'. It was his decision to bring her back corrupted as she was...and he did so, knowing full well what kind of dangers it would bring. Surri couldn't help but feel sour about the whole situation, Aeon having forced their hand to bring her with them...Before hearing him talk about something following them through the corridor. She paled a bit, before pulling out her phone, and the small knife her father had left her.
"Aeon, watch out!" she called, before running her hands over the bracelet, shifting into a more Nurse-ish attire, and radiating with a dark sort of energy. She held the phone out at this and pressed a button, a surge of Electrical energy starting to strike at the being. She couldn't know if it'd be of any use, but she had to try, Dammit!

The Pursuer

As the Pursuer glared down at what was it's next hunt, it quickly took notice of the female's attempt to strike at it, her transformation doing nothing to aid damage the Pursuer's armor with her electrical strike. It easily shrugged off the slight damage that it had endured, and went onto the assault. It had lunged towards the female, the Pursuer's feet never touching the ground and sword and shield in hand as it swiftly struck at her twice, once with it's sword, and once with the shield. It's strikes were wide and strong, as well as it's movements swift, helpful for making sure that the male would think twice before going for a back attack. "Hunt....."

"Tick, tock...tick, tock."

"Ah! Not good!" Surri's warning couldn't have come at any better a time, as the Pursuer didn't seem apt to wait any longer on their preparation and attacked with vigor and no remorse to be seen. However rather than simply standing by while it unleashed its fury on the girl, Aeon sprung into action quick as a whip and moved with an unusual speed...and as his shield crashed down at the end of the second attack the blue-painted young man passed by the girl and met the armored suit with a fist that crashed powerfully into the suit's face...an unusually powerful strike that belied the remarkable power fitted inside of such a lanky frame. "Surri, thanks!" he beamed as he attacked, surprisingly unperturbed (up front) by the dangerous situation in which they had found themselves. It was either stupidity or confidence that allowed him to be so lighthearted, but she knew quite well that it wasn't the former after having spent so much time with him back in the world of their Bad Future. He might have been selfish...he knew that he was, really, even if he cared for each member of the team in his own way...but he wasn't stupid, either. Which meant that if he was engaging the Pursuer up close, he must have had some inclination that he could handle the assault. Not that the idea seemed all that sane in the moment, of course. It was fast, strong, and judging by the fact that it had followed them all the way through the Corridor, relentless.

But Aeon had an ace up his sleeve that he had yet to play, too. With Surripio behind him, this wasn't going to be any kind of a pushover now matter how persistent this monster was.

"I've got his attention now," Aeon smiled wildly as he leaped back a step and set his hands upon the two swords at his waist, ready to draw them at a moment's notice. He spoke to his teammate but his attention never diverted from the Armor that would find itself growing a bit more sluggish...what was happening to the thing? It might wonder, if it had the capacity to think and recognize what was happening to it at all. "It seems we're going to have to put this thing down, Surri...don't hold back; let's see if you can withstand the test of Time, you silly hunk of metal."

Surripio Rembrii.
Surri braced herself for the impact as the large, imposing monster lunged at her, with a slash, and a shield bash. The Slash left a nasty gash along her body, but as she waited for the shield bash....It never came. She opened her eyes at this, noticing Aeon having closed the distance in a flash. She blinked, flushing a bit as he told her they'd have to put it down. He was talking to her like an equal, despite her lack of powers. She pulled her phone out at this, and slid down, pressing a few buttons. "Y..Yeah." she called, before sending out a burst of ice, attacking at the Pursuer with a different element. Surely, one of them at least would do more damage...

"Tick, tock...tick, tock."

His wait for the armor's response...turned out to be in vain. His powerful Pralaya cracked the armor just as Surripio's ice seemed to freeze it solid, and with the impact of the heavy deathblow the Pursuer began to writhe where it stood, armor steadily cracking from the combined impact. Raising an eyebrow in surprise, Aeon couldn't help but think that everything had gone...rather smoothly for once, which was something no one amongst he and his friends was used to. It made him chuckle under his breath...oh, no, wait, that was out loud...and soon he was laughing rather amusedly as the armor at last crumpled and with a burst of black light shattered into a thousand pieces on the ground below them, sizzling away into little more than mist in the wind.

"Huh. That was rather unusual, don't you think Surri? Not even a death cry or anything and nothing left behind but a cloud of dust and..." his words caught on his tongue as he suddenly spied within the fading mist of the armor's explosion a figure...was there something, no, someone inside of that armor the whole time?! Something glinted in the crumpled figure's hand, but midnight black hair blanketed her eyes so that he could not see the face beneath, "Is that...oh my, there seems to have been a person trapped in that armor. Or at least, I should hope they were trapped, since the silent stalker routine wasn't the most settling of...sorry, distracted by possibility. It's time for some answers, missy." The Time Wizard moved to the crumpled girl's side and knelt down, seeing that she wasn't moving and raised a finger against his better judgment to prod at the girl's shoulder and see if she was...in fact...still living and breathing now that she was freed of her unusual metallic prison. "Hello in there? ...I wish Rue-Rue were here now, she'd love this. Or hate it. Ah! Rue-Rue! Surri, Narue is still out there somewhere! We need to get go..."

...He felt a sharp sensation of light wind lashing across the skin of his left arm and jerked away just in time to see his painted blue skin bereft several of the small hairs that ran the length of it. There was no pain as he wasn't wounded, but the loss of a few strands of tiny arm hair didn't register so much as the shock...but before he had time to think on it a sudden tugging, jerking, and then flying sensation filled him...and the sight of his companion faded into the distance along with the crater as he was launched high into the air and far away from where he had been crouching before. ...And the last thing he thought before he gave himself over to the utter glee of being thrown long-range like some kind of oblong, pig-skin-type object the length of some sort of game-lined playing field, was that those eyes of hers were very, very familiar...a soul-stirring red but filled with little flecks of something that set a pit in his stomach stirring with unease.

"Oh my, she's been Corrupted...that's...that's not good," his half-cocked smile seemed out of sorts with his sudden realization, but even as he began to come down towards the ground he was drawing a small gun from the inside of his coat pocket and aiming it up at the sky, pulling the trigger to unleash a stream of multi-colored smoke that exploded into the sky. Far, far removed from the confrontation about to come down on Surri, time suddenly slowed as the blue-skinned child of the future righted himself mid-air as easily as though he were walking down the street and landed with graceful precision upon the ground...just as his signal unveiled itself into the sky, "To stay, or not to stay...that is the question. On one hand, any of the others who saw that symbol will be coming here shortly. On the other...Narue is out there...and I can't waste time waiting when she might be in danger. ...No, no, the choice is clear. ...Hang in there, Surri, help is coming!"

He called out, despite knowing that she couldn't hear him at his current distance, and then in an instant, he was off and running...in another direction entirely. Judging by the descent angle and the trails and the lingering hint of magic and...mostly his intuition, he was certain that Narue was this way! And he'd find her...he'd keep her safe, no matter what...and importantly, he'd keep the world itself safe from the dreaded thing still living within her.

...

In the sky above, a white and blue-eyed face with a pink tongue sticking out somewhat comically could be seen far and wide, recognizable to all who had come to the past alongside the Aeon Clock. The flare signal for 'Urgent Help Required' wasn't one the team had universally agreed upon, but since he had designed it, it didn't really matter if anyone disagreed. Narue thought it was cute, anyway. Probably. And at least there was no mistaking it! ...Right?

Kuzaku Martillo, the Knight of Azathoth

Eventually - because it did take time for people to travel, no matter what Aeon might have thought about the stuff - a massive orange beast appeared. It hadn't been easy staying out of sight, and they hadn't been able to ride the whole way... but Kuzaku had been talking with Euphie when they noticed the signal, and had left a brief note for their parents explaining that they'd be back soon. "I hope we are not too late." Kuzaku said, a bit more calmly than he felt. However, his teacher had been quite clear - a knight was to behave appropriately at all times, and there had been... well... ample motivation.

Euphoria

Euphie simply focused power through her staff, and then..."Tetraja!" she called, sending a wave of protection over their allies. Always good to have that one on just in case... and if it was time to keep fighting, then she'd simply do what her father had inspired her to do and blow the living hell out of anything that threatened her friends.

Less than a minute after Kuzaku and Euphie arrived on the scene, Relika too made her presence known, although she was fuming, and seemed to be riding on the back of Corielisa, who was running on all fours, "Why the hell did you two decide to leave me behind!?" She scolded, climbing off her demon's back, said demon subsequently laid on the ground, out of breath. "Relika is heavier than she looks..." The demon said to herself, before Relika started speaking again, placing a hand on the hilt of her sword, "Do we know what has happened?"

Bel Heartily

A cloud of miasma gathered nearby and a bolt of energy like lightning struck, dismissing the the red mist to reveal the Demon King. "Over there." Without turning to his compadres Bel raised a finger and pointed towards the girl that emerged from the suit of armor. It was odd that Aeon had allowed himself to be snatched, considering the ominous aura coming from the girl, but perhaps the suit had obscured what a truly horrendous thing lay within. Darkness crawled up and down her skin like a parasite, staining the very ground beneath them with an unforgivable, and entirely familiar sense of evil. "The rest of you should leave. No need for a bunch of amateurs to get in my way." Beneath his sour glare, Bel hid his turmoil well. After all, it wasn't expected that anything born of Corruption would follow them back to this time, and now they were looking at a familiar face...

It would be better if the rest of them left, so that they didn't have to watch someone they were once close with being put down. His light hearted temper was clearly an attempt to scare the rest off before things became more serious."Besides, I'd say ladies are something of a specialty of mine." He jested again, attempting to lighten the tension a bit so they'd more attention to his warning to escape. Each of his companions had lost loved ones, not just getting here but back in their own world as well. Putting another heavy weight on their shoulders wouldn't benefit everyone, but he'd already come to terms with what had to be done. If he had to bloody his hands with the life of another close one...then so be it.

Anzu Munakata

User Image "Don't be a jerk, Bel." A smirk crossed full lips, as the white haired girl walked over to the familiar faces. "We can't just let you take all the credit, right?" Inwardly, Anzu sighed in relief, knowing her companions had made it out alive...and that they had ended in the same space and time after all. Though, there was still a glint of worry in crimson eyes as they shifted over to the group, finding no trace of that stern face that her brother seemed to keep at all times. "Have any of you seen Mashiro? And... do any of you know what this mean?" A thumb jabbed at the ridiculous sign in the sky. "Didn't we tell him to change that?" That Aeon was really an oddball. Though...if it weren't for him, they wouldn't have gotten there... In fact...where was he? Where was the rest of them? Inigo and the Michieru kids? And what about that girl...? She knew it had been a bad idea to bring Narue over...

An eyebrow arched, her legs taking her over to stand beside the Demon Prince, her gaze shifting over to the crumpled figure a few steps away from them. "So, what is the fuzz about? Why did Aeon called us he- Oh..." There was no mistaking the signs of the Corruption and..."Wonderful."

As time had passed since Bel and Anzu had arrived, Amina had arrived at the crater. She was ragged and out of breath since she had saw the signal. "H-have any... of you...seen Estelle?" She said to everyone else. She was worried that her friend had been lost to the travel back. But once she had saw the person who gave off the same aura as back from where they were from... just like the corruption, she was immediately at arms, ready transform if need be. The less amounts of the corruption in this time, the better. "A-anyone know her story?"

Venustus Michieru, and Fate Lembryant
As the group was forming around the remains of the Pursuer, a pair of figures were approaching them as well. If any of the others turned, they'd see a red haired girl's familiar summon, carrying her, and an armored figure.
"Heyyy-yo! Don't start the party without me!" Fate's voice called, as she nudged Succubus. The summon let her master and passenger descend, showing them to be two allies.
"Yo! Bel! Amina! Relika! Kuzaku! Euphie! Anzy! What's the happy-Haps?" she called, before noticing the signs....The blackened coating on her..

"The corruption.." Venustus's voice called, as his grip tightened. He pulled out his tube at this, and flicked it out, drawing a large blade...A samurai figure forming out of the air at this.
"Gonryomaru...on your guard." he stated, giving a small nod at everyone there. He was relieved to see everyone okay, but this wasn't the time to be exchanging pleasantries. This was the time for fighting..

Won't you Play with Me?

And, as the group gathered up around the armored figure and spoke amoungst themselves, a pair of glowing green eyes would stare back at them, followed by an unsettling, uncomfortable giggle.
"Hue..hue...Hue." the voice sounded, her usual giggle stifled by the corruption taking over her. The shell of armor was completely pushed aside at this, allowing the figures that gazed upon her to see her true form...
One that greatly resembled a certain Kuzunoha's prized summon....Though, several things were different. Her long blonde hair had been stained black, her beautiful blue dress had distorted to a tattered, primitive garment...And, as she slid a hand out, she now brandished a blood soaked blade, the shine of it sharply contrasting the crimson painting the edge. She had gotten someone already, it seemed...And as the group looked closer, they'd see Surripio on the ground a small distance, nursing a gash in her side.
"Oh No no no...that's no fun at all." the girl's voice called, tut-tutting her fingers at the girl, and group in general. "You must not resist...You must not rescind..You said cease and desist...You said that you're a friend....But...Something you must know, something you shall comprehend.... Every friend I have...is already dead!"
The girl's face contorted into what would normally be a pleased looking smirk, but with some black coating the edges, pulling her cheeks back into the smile. The Corruption had taken hold of this wayward traveler, and if they didn't want to join her, they'd have to put her down. An action more difficult than it would seem, as the girl's knife cut out in several erratic angles, to gash at their very being. She was stronger than her frail form would appear, but they would simply have to overcome.
"One..Two...One and Two.."
