~::The Kids Who Leaped Through Time::~
(Okina City Outskirts - 3:25 PM, After School. September 13, 2012)

In the morning hours over the skies of Okina City at the heart of the Supernatural Hotbed, a gaping, black hole opens...and from within, an unknown number of lights streak down from above, scattering all across the region...figures of unknown origin, unknown make-up, a mystery as true as there ever was...and behind them came the dark, streaks of blackness following behind the lights, dogging their movements in each direction...again, scattered. Where they came from is unknown, and what sort of events their arrival may portend remains a mystery to the few who bore witness to the strange phenomenon in the wee hours of the morning. However, one thing is abundantly clear; something strange is happening in the Supernatural Hotbed, and while that's not entirely unusual for the region, there's something that feels...eerie about the arrival, particularly in the darkness that followed them through the portal that opened itself in the sky. Something wrong...unnatural...but what awaits for those who dare to investigate the phenomenon is a strangeness that must be seen to be believed.

A hope sent out across time and space...the future...

...

One of the streaks of light and dark crashed somewhere outside of the city of Okina in the long plain barely visible from the tracks of the local monorail during the lunch hour of September 13th...what awaits, however, remains known only to those who dare to discover...

The Betrayed World Serpent, Jormungandr
"I always knew he was a shitty old man..."

A streak of darkness carried him across the sky; the smell still lingered in the air as he shot down into the empty space beyond Okina City. The grass and ground quaked beneath his feet and his knees nearly buckled under the weight of his own anticipation. That smell...it was still strong in the air, attached to someone...he could smell the blood and bone and flesh of the kid, and though he knew that it wasn't his old man himself, someone that he had spent enough time on to rub off this much on him would do just fine for a start. Vengeance...it was all that he had thought about, all that he had craved since the bonds tied him down and his own father had tossed him into the abyss between time. It was what he craved, what he needed, and he would be damned if he let the opportunity to stick it to that slimy b*****d pass him by without seizing it between his jaws and clamping down tight. All the world was a banquet to the one they called the 'World Serpent', but there was no morsel quite so appetizing as one that would piss off the old man. He stood to his full 'human' height and let his fingers curl dangerously around the scythe that he bore...a madness shimmering in the corner of his eye as he scanned the grassland surrounding him. Two streaks of light had descended here, though only one of them truly made his mouth water.

"Come out, come out..." his voice came out in a hiss, the base of the scythe's handle thumping against the ground...smog rolling from the sides of his lips for a moment as he seemed almost to bite through it, anticipation filling him, "Let's have a little talk, you and me...what do you say?"

Bel Heartily

What lay beyond the light they'd entered had been far stranger than anyone could have imagined; a hallway where space was time, and walking a foot could mean changing the very era you were in. Once they'd passed through this bending reality, they'd found doors that opened into a dozen other worlds...although 'doors' was only a metaphor. There were cracks here or there, and each had slipped into another realm, allowing one to enter; and also, for one to leave. It was this latter foible that had made the Corridor so much more dangerous for the group, when a familiar looking figure from their past had emerged, warped by whatever reality he had come from. And so with the World Serpent they'd charged ahead, finally diving into the waiting realm of the past, but where they were landing now was for anyone to imagine, and the others had slipped out of sight long before Bel's feet finally touched the ground. When they finally did, he realized he was in a crouching position, one hand over the hat that carefully hung over his head. He slowly stood from his crouching position, stretching long enough to make sure he wasn't going to pull anything before looking around.

It seemed they weren't lucky enough to land in a different decade from the decaying World Serpent, and while he should have been a little more upset about that, there was only one thing that continued to cross the young Bel's mind. "I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle." A cool smile spread across his lips as he casually avoided Jorm's angry tone and took a much lighter approach to their conversation, harkening back to a movie that both he and Jorm probably shouldn't have remembered. It was amazing what strange vintage items had survived the oncoming corruption, and one of them may have been a movie that seemed tailor made for their situation. The fact that he got to aggravate one of the deadlier enemies of their lifetime, who was hellbent on getting some revenge for an incident he hadn't yet cared to explain, was just a small plus.

Patris Michieru, the Charmed Princess.
Patris made her way through the Corridor with the others, and as they passed through, she shut her eyes. After a short while, a pair of arms embraced her, and she landed softly, her father's summon looking out for her once more.
"Thanks Wynn." Patris called, as she pulled her things out, with a sigh of relief.

"Don't worry about it, Patris-honey." she called, before hearing another voice call out.
Patris turned, noticing as someone...or something had followed them out...with a really sour, nonplussed expression on his face...And the way he spoke sent shivers down her spine.
"He's........" she called, before grasping her Book, Bel's voice calling out to snark at the snakey individual.
"B..be careful Bel!" she called, as she pulled out her book, focusing energy. She had to try to help as best she could! She focused her magnetite at this, and pointed at the one that had followed them. "Take..This!"

Wynn herself waved her staff, using a simple spell to try to reduce the serpent's Speed and Agility. She had to protect Patris...And hopefully, Bel would be up to the task of taking on the Serpent as well..
Wait a little longer for me, Shu. she thought, bracing herself for the battle about to start.

The Betrayed World Serpent, Jormungandr
"I always knew he was a shitty old man..."

Oh! Ohohohoho!

...That p***k! That arrogant, lousy p***k!

"You...you're joking around at a time like this...?" the serpentine man hissed in a mixture of disbelief and pure rage, the madness of his time in the Corridor clearly playing on his mind, making this slightest of provocations resound a thousand times over in his consciousness...a dismissal of the threat he posed that he simply would not, could not abide, "How DARE you! How ******** DARE you look down on me! You're just like him, that smarmy attitude, that condescending smirk! You even dress like that smug b*****d! I will not let you go...I will NOT let you walk out of this God-damned place alive!" His face was already beginning to drain of color into something grey...as though he were struggling against himself not to change into the man-eating serpent that he truly was. Deep in his throat something began to bubble and fester...and as lightning crashed down against him, small as it might have been, whatever threads that still bound him to his sanity seemed to snap! And from the depths of his throat the mass of fog erupted and filled the clearing around them, choking, blinding...poisoning them down to the core with the smog of the World Serpent. His laughter filled the darkness as Patris and Bel were left to struggle against the noxious fume.

"I'm not just going to kill you...I'm going to ******** crush your bones between my teeth and TEAR the flesh apart!" he laughed wildly, not at all the sly if temperamental snake that he had once been as he began to change even more within the fog...growing, stretching, becoming the truest form into which he had been born, "And only when you're begging me to let you die will I swallow what's left and finish you!"

Bel Heartily

"Thank you, my dear." Bel stepped in between Patris and Jormungandr as the 'princess' opened her book of spells, flicking his hand to the side as a spear materialized out of thin air. "But do try to stay back. He's not the same demon he use to be... now he's just some snake that I use to know." In the world that they'd come from Jormungandr was probably already dead, or turned by the corruption. That meant that what they were fighting now was a creature from another universe, and any demons that made their way into the Akarana Corridor were excessively dangerous. Even if they looked the same, this Jormungandr could be worlds different from their own. As he let his temper loose though, the body of the monster they were fighting began to take it's true shape, and Bel grinned at the not-too-different form he'd taken. "It looks like he's serious about hunting us no matter where we go, so this will have to be where we make our stand. Patris..." Bel turned his head and glanced over his shoulder, a hand moving to adjust his hat. "...just, don't get too frightened. Alright?"

Bel wasn't referring to Jormungandr. As the demon prince whirled around, magic moved up his arm and into his fingers. He snapped just as Jormungandr began to spew his heavy toxin, and glistened ice hardened above and below the snake's jaws, smashing together quickly. He might not be able to stop the spreading poison of the world serpent, a miasma capable of blotting out the sky and turning the world to ash...but he could certainly give it's maker a headache to remember. "Why grandmother, what big teeth you have." Bel's own body was beginning to awaken to the slumbering power of the demon within, and while he hadn't transformed, his fangs were already beginning to protrude and his eyes were glowing golden. To the survivors of the future, who had been yoked into service by his father, the sight might have been terrifying...but it was necessary if they were going to escape from the coil of the World Serpent that now threatened to enshroud them.

Patris Michieru, the Charmed Princess.
Patris winced as the Serpent of a man started to grow to his full splendor, something coming out of his throat...and starting to fill the air.
"W..What is.." she called, before it made it's way into her, starting to burn at her throat as she breathed it in....coughing.
"P..poison..' she choked out, as she glanced around. "B..Bel! It's Poison! What are..."
She couldn't see very well thanks to the smog but as Bel started to shift, she took a few steps back.
Father...Mother..watch over me. she thought, before sending another bolt of electricity out, towards the World Snake.
Wynn herself coughed a bit, feeling the poison coming over her...but she didn't seem as bothered as Patris, relishing in the pain as usual...Though, she did move back.

"Milady.." she called, before bringing up her staff, and sending forth a burst of wind Energy towards The World snake. This kind of poison only spelled trouble if they were in it too long. She promised she'd protect Patris....

"I always knew he was a shitty old man..."

If there were any doubts that this smug b*****d had connections to his father, they were banished every single time the kid opened his mouth and rattled off some cocky, lighthearted reply like the World Serpent himself wasn't the type of threat that should have him shaking in his boots and begging for mercy. Just who in the Hell did people think he was?! After all the years and all the torment of the Corridor, bound as he had been, breaking out now to seek his revenge...only to be taunted and taken for granted by a brat like this one?

"No way..." he grit between his teeth as ice crashed around his jaws, damaging but not nearly enough to close or stop the growing smog...in fact, if anything, the Mabufudyne spell seemed only to increase his anger...his massive body growing larger and thrashing violently, "No ******** WAY!" And through the smog it came, the massive head of the snake crashing into the front of the Child of Bel, this time with jaws closed...but still with enough force that he'd likely be feeling the pain for days. If he was related to that b*****d, his old man, he knew that wouldn't be enough to kill him...but he had no intention of finishing him off until he could feel the bones crunching between his jaws! He reared back and let out a feral hiss. "What did that b*****d tell you about me, huh?! That I was dead? That somebody killed me...ME?! Do you really think that just because that son of a b***h talked down to me like ******** else, that I'm somebody a little s**t like you can take lightly? That someone like YOU could beat ME?! NEWS FLASH!" Lightning and wind crashed into him from another direction, his head twisting in their direction to hiss...before snapping its tail out violently and crushing the two of them...Patris and Wynn...in a single sweep that sent them flying across the field and slamming into the dirt in the distance. Goddamn pinpricks, that's all these rats were to him! Did they think attacks of that level were going to hurt him?! They were NOTHING! Mosquitoes bit harder!

"I'M THE WORLD SERPENT, b***h! DON'T ******** WITH ME!"

Bel Heartily

"There seems to be a misunderstanding." Bel glared at Jormungandr, taking a stance as the enormous beast coiled and lunged forward, pushing them back with an incredibly amount of weight and force; this was a beast that was said to circle the Earth with it's enormous body, there was no way it could hit for anything less. Bel however managed to keep his footing as he slid backwards, hands pushing back to avoid being ground under the scales of the snake. "Nobody told me you died. I saw you fighting to hold back the Corruption with my own eyes. The World Serpent I know is dead." Bel planted his right foot, shifting his left forward as he thrust out an open palm; and suddenly a tornado blew through, tearing through the area and passing Bel unharmed as it spun out of control towards the Norse monster.

"As the Prince of Bel, I'll offer you forgiveness only once...for old times sake." Although the words rang with the sound of old ties, the lips of the serpentine man curled into a sly grin after he'd spoken. "Surrender now, and ask for forgiveness...and you can have, in the afterlife." It was clear now that Bel didn't treat this monster like the Jorm he'd known in his world, and if he'd led anyone on (which he'd certainly meant to do), that was dashed now as he taunted the creature once again with another cool smirk. "I might even build a little shrine to your honor. I'll have your dad bless the opening."

Patris Michieru, the Charmed Princess.
Patris could still barely breathe as it was, despite hearing their enemy get progressively fiercer. Her attack had connected, but it hadn't done anything...made evident by the way the tail crashed into them, knocking them back, and onto the ground. Patris clutched her chest, coughing violently.
"W..Wynn....Daddy." she called out a bit, starting to push herself up. It hurt...it hurt so bad.....
Wynn herself started back up after getting knocked down, frowning.
I'm not going to stand for this.. she called, even as her eyes and chest burned, darting towards the world Serpent. She reeled back her fist at this, before calling upon a power she'd used since long ago. A Mini-tempest started to form at her palm, before she flung it forward.
"Bite Sized Tempest!" she called, before the tempest let loose, joining with Bel's own assault on the World Snake. She made a promise, dammit!
Patris eventually pulled herself up, coughing loudly still, as she tried to keep up her guard. Her little spark didn't seem to be doing much, and she wanted to focus more on protecting herself than trying to do a little more damage..

The Betrayed World Serpent, Jormungandr
"I always knew he was a shitty old man..."

Whatever tiny impulse control the serpentine creature had before his betrayal and exile into the world between worlds, Jormungandr was utterly devoid of it now. Smashing himself against the Child of Bel and the Charmed Princess he felt a significant satisfaction in the cracking and the sound of the slam of their bodies against the surrounding environment. He could feel their insignificant weight give against his imposing figure, and he longed for the opportunity to to do it again and again, until there was nothing left of them but dust beneath his scales. Or perhaps he could devour them and feel the crunch of their bones and the warmth of their blood pouring over his forked tongue...that idea was particularly inviting, he thought, but as he resolved to do just that he found his rage amplified by the fact that the two of them were still standing after being battered by his immense power...those insignificant pests thinking that they could stand in front of him and act like they were his equal?! Like they were somehow superior to the World Serpent?! That snapped thread of control was dangling loose now, and all of the bile spewed forth from his lips with absolute venom! He hissed in rage as they turned themselves upon him once more, and when they charged him he welcomed them with his mad, slitted gaze as a spider welcomes a fly into its web.

"SHUT THE ******** UP AND BRING IT!"

His challenge was silenced by the crashing of wind, the Twinkling Nebula of the Prince of Bel smashing into his body and rocketing the top half of his massive length back before the second, surprisingly powerful Bite-Sized Tempest smashed into him and sent the snake tumbling backwards, rolling to his back until he had slithered around right-side up and curled back up again, poised and ready to strike and spitting mad! He could feel blood...BLOOD!...seeping from a gash along his underbelly and from the gash beneath his tongue and he would not let a bunch of insults like this one ******** slide! "Forgive?! ******** FORGIVENESS!" the snake cried indignantly, angrily, clouds of angry, poisonous fume spilling forth from his tongue as he bellowed magnificently, "I'M GOING TO CHEW YOUR ******** BONES! Forgive THAT!"

And in a flash the incredibly large creature moved with a preternatural quickness and dove mouth-first into the Prince of Bel, letting his impossibly huge fangs clamp down around him...and even if the crush of his jaws didn't kill the kid, the very saliva within held a deadly secret. One that might make even the mighty Prince of Bel waver sooner than later...

Bel Heartily

"The smell alone is unbearable." Bel shook his head as he took in his unpleasant surroundings, arms spread to either side to push back and resist the crushing force of the World Serpent's gullet. He'd jested at this deformed snake's plight initially to entertain himself, but even someone of his rank had to take the threat of the Jormungandr's toxin seriously. The chances that Jormungandr would spit him out of his own volition were slim to none, and that meant that he had to coax a response from the beast, even if he had to get a little rough to do it. Ultimately, it looked like violence alone was going to settle this situation, but it wasn't something that Bel was totally unaccustomed to.

"You think you're a monster?" Power began to well up in the spear of Bel as he focused his mind, gathering power to escape from the crushing innards of the other devious snake of Norse fame. Their initial powers may have been rooted in a similar source, but Jormungandr had made one mistake in taking him for a simple demon or worse, a lone and handsome human being; he'd underestimated Bel, and had no idea just what sort of powers Bel had received upon inheriting his powers. There was no similarity between the two anymore, because while Jorm was a vicious snake capable of destroying the world, Bel had inherited the strength of dozens of demons fit to rule it. Both were born to be demons...but only one of them could be King. "You don't know what a real monster looks like! Aaggggggggh!" The power swelled around Bel as his eyes changed color, though there was no one to see it, and his entire body heated up as demonic flames vented from every direction out of his body, and poured through the World Serpent with enough power to purge entire cities from the face of the earth. These were the Flames of Sodom, unspeakable fires inherited from a powerful demon who once vied for the throne of hell. It was capable of purging whole nations from the land of the living...and with any luck, it would teach the World Serpent a thing or two about purging of his own, as well.

Patris Michieru, the Charmed Princess.
Patris covered her mouth as the Serpent sneered and lunged at them, getting incredibly pissed off at Bel as he swore up a storm.
"B..Bel!" she choked out, before coughing some more, and gesturing with her hands. "W..Wynn...H..Help..Help us.."

The green haired demon nodded at this, the fog still dense enough to be almost impermeable to their eyes, as she held up her staff. Though, rather than a surge of wind, a surge of healing energy would course through the two, even if it wasn't able to disperse the poisonous fog that threatened to end their very lives. The World Serpent had a horrifying poison indeed....But, would Bel be enough of a monster to handle him? Even with their help, Wynn couldn't be entirely certain...

The Betrayed World Serpent, Jormungandr
"I always knew he was a shitty old man..."

When his jaws clamped around his father's plaything, whatever this boy was, there was a snapping of something in the mind of the snake that smelled faintly like happiness...nothing he had eaten had ever survived the poison, nor had it ever gotten out of his mouth without being devoured whole like the insignificant morsels they all were to him. This thing, whatever it was, was something his old man had placed value in...and now he was eating it like a ******** rat! It served him right!

"It serves you right! God damned shitty old man! I'll eat everything you love! I'll choke you on my breath you arrogant old b*****d! I'll spit up the bones of Hel and Fenrisulfr and then I'll have you BEG me to kill you before I...I...!" something suddenly changed in the snake as it reared its head back and something burning began to prickle at the insides of its mouth and throat...something hot...something...on fire?! "FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUCCCCKKKK!" It had never spit up its food before, he had never let anything escape its jaws but that...that fire...ti was burning, burning hotter ********! Its breath gulped down once and the flames burned at its throat, angering it...weakening...and in one final spit the snake's forked tongue ejected Bel painfully upon the dirt in front of Patris...the massive body slithering back to a distance and coiling as if intending to do something major. It spat and coughed and smoke seemed to roll from its insides as though it had been singed ********, why hadn't he chewed?! Why hadn't he just ******** style="color: teal">"THAT'S IT! EVERYONE DIES!"

...

Springing out of his coil he launched himself into the air...and as the smog and the sun above were blotted out by total darkness it became clear just how immense the true form of the snake they were fighting was! They wouldn't escape its crashing down upon them in a few moments...not even if they ran with all their might! Size, in the end, mattered...and when all logic and attacking tricks had failed the serpent would simply smash them all beneath its massive weight and lick the blood and bones from its scales when it was over.
