~::The Kids Who Leaped Through Time::~ (Shirichi Beach - 3:25 PM, After School. September 13, 2012)
In the morning hours over the skies of Okina City at the heart of the Supernatural Hotbed, a gaping, black hole opens...and from within, an unknown number of lights streak down from above, scattering all across the region...figures of unknown origin, unknown make-up, a mystery as true as there ever was...and behind them came the dark, streaks of blackness following behind the lights, dogging their movements in each direction...again, scattered. Where they came from is unknown, and what sort of events their arrival may portend remains a mystery to the few who bore witness to the strange phenomenon in the wee hours of the morning. However, one thing is abundantly clear; something strange is happening in the Supernatural Hotbed, and while that's not entirely unusual for the region, there's something that feels...eerie about the arrival, particularly in the darkness that followed them through the portal that opened itself in the sky. Something wrong...unnatural...but what awaits for those who dare to investigate the phenomenon is a strangeness that must be seen to be believed.
A hope sent out across time and space...the future...
...
One of the streaks of light and dark crashed somewhere on the dark sands of the Shirichi Beach during the lunch hour of September 13th...what awaits, however, remains known only to those who dare to discover...

Anzu Munakata and Koji Masahiko Mori "Weeeell, that was a bumpier ride than what I expected! That Aeon sure wasn't kidding about the things we'd find inside that corridor." Relieved laughter was blown away by the light breeze and the crashing of the waves, the white haired girl standing up from where she had landed, dusting away the sand from her knees and palms. Her mood switched immediately though, the moment she realized only one more of the original group and herself had landed here on this beach. "Wonderful..." Her voice was flat and annoyed, perhaps even just a hint of worried right in there was well. Her brother was nowhere to be found, along with Inigo and all the others..."At least I hope they got out in one piece...and that we landed in the same wold. It would suck having traveled this far just to land in the wrong dimension." She had hope the others would manage though...and that they would find each other. Mashiro's and her parents had taught them how to survive in difficult situations...this pinch was a piece of cake compared to the situations she had gotten herself into back in their world. Just the thought made her smirk slightly, remembering her brother's serious face, lecturing her lightly.
There would be time for that later, though. As much as taking in the clear sky and blue waters sounded like a lovely idea at the moment. "Trip! We gotta find the others, come o-"
"Beautiful place, isn't it?" A voice called from behind the two...a voice that made the blood in Anzu's veins run cold. 'Impossible...' "It was to be expected from this world…so clear of the corruption…” A young man with calculative eyes, dark hair and a hard line on his lips stood behind them, his posture calm, almost way too much…but Anzu knew better. She knew him…and Trip would recognize him as well. “So, this was your plan all along, hm? Abandon our dying world and move on to better things..." …” Cold green eyes stared down at the white haired girl and the red haired guy, almost as if there was an air of superiority over him. "Wouldn't surprise me, really... Abandoning friends and love ones come easy to your lot, does it not?" He had risked his life for them...he had turned back for them...and they had repaid him by leaving him to die. To be torn and bitten by the Corrupted...to become one of those mindless, disgusting creatures. He had gotten out of there alive, difficult as that had been… and now...now he was here to return the favor. One by one...he'd find them...until only him was left. Inigo would get to see the team he wasn't able to protect...and he'd had to see him, the ghost that would never stop haunting the Shimazu swordsman.
"Koji..." Crimson eyes followed the figure as he circled the two, almost as if he were a predator analyzing the prey before pouncing. “You survived.” It almost sounded stupid, saying those words. He was there in front of her, but… it was impossible to believe. Though…she couldn’t let him see her falter. If there was anything she knew better about Koji Mori was that…he would see those cracks in you…and would use them to slip and tear you apart from the inside out. “You gotta understand…”
“There’s no need to sputter your excuses, Anzu…” His tone was cold and collected, and somehow, it sounded all the more dangerous to the white haired girl. “I know what happened…and now… I’ll just have to give Inigo my thanks…” A ring on his right hand glowed and the daughter of the Deadly Nightshade and the Yamazakura knew there was no other way about this. “Trip, Anzu…you won’t be leaving here.”
Crimson eyes lowered for a moment, words being mumbled under her breath…words of apology to her former teammate…to her parents, wherever they might be…fingers brushing over the words tattooed to her arm lightly... “You were always too serious, you know…” A wolfish grin appeared on the girl’s lips, her gaze turning to her companion, the boards under her feet splinting, cracking. “Let’s lighten him up a bit, shall we?”

Tripidium YamakajiIt'd been a grueling journey. They'd dashed through the Corridor, had their share of close calls, and though he probably shouldn't have shifted like he had in that tight area, (his chest still hurt), but they'd been saved, and they were back! Back in a pristine, beautiful world..... And, in moments, Anzu pointed out their problem. Immediately, he buckled, tears starting to well down his face as he realized it. "Everyone's lost?! Noooooooooooo!" he called, starting to fall to his knees dramatically...Before she motioned that they had to find the others. He pulled himself together, starting to get up...before another familiar voice called out. "Koji!!! You're alive!...How did you...Where did you..." He flinched though as Koji's tone shifted, and he could sense the malice coming from it. They..weren't going to be leaving alive? "N..no..Koji...Koji, don't do this.." Trip called, quickly. "Don't...Don't make me fight you. We're friends...aren't we?" Even if Anzu could fight Koji, Trip didn't want to. He thought Koji was lost...yet, he was here...But, he...He.. "I don't want to fight you.. But.." A brand started to glow on Trip's body, his Atma starting to react with his emotions. He didn't want to fight, but if it meant protecting the others..

Anzu Munakata and Koji Masahiko Mori He knew their abilities. He had known their weaknesses and skills…and throughout the fight, he had been able to keep up with most of the attacks that their former teammates had thrown his way. He was not without wounds, though. Despite his previous knowledge of them…Munakata and Yamakaji had managed to take him off guard a series of times; the last of them leaving him with a long gash across his shoulder, where the shield of fire had shattered when the claws of the Atma user had connected. 'Not bad...' The white shirt was starting to taint red, and a small grunt left his lips. Otherwise, there was nothing in Koji's face showing he was afraid of the outcome of the fight.
Anzu let out a very unladylike curse as she stood up, rolling her shoulder and letting out a breath in relief hearing it pop. Still, she managed a weary smirk at the hit their 'enemy' had received. The battle had been going on for a while now...longer than what she would have liked. And even if she did enjoy a good fight, this wasn't being exactly fun. Koji Mori had been an important member of the team. He was clever, he was calculating, and he always had a plan for everything. Perhaps he was a bit odd and awkward...but, who on the team wasn't? And compared to that pair of freakheads Aeon and Narue, Koji had been alright. Fighting him like this wasn't something she could have imagined happening...and she wasn't enjoying it at the slightest. Despite his scrawny frame, their former teammate was strong…and fast. They had managed to get him off guard by throwing two attacks from different fronts, and even if he didn't want to show it...the snowy haired young woman knew he was tired...
"Come on, Koji...let's stop this." Her gaze shifted to the enormous dragon beside her; the Atma form of her companion tattered by the fierce attacks that had been thrown his way as well. "We had no other choice back then... it was a hard decision...but it was that or lose more people. Many were wounded after that mission...we were being overrun by the Corrupted..." She paused, the dangerous look on green eyes letting her know this was something he didn't want to hear. "I would have done the same. Damn, Koji! I am sure you would have done the same if you've been in his position. Inigo wasn't happy with it...I am sure he still regrets it, but-!"
"I returned for him, Anzu! I WOULDN'T have done the same!" For the first time, the white haired girl was seeing Koji losing his composure; raising his voice. The Red Ring seemed to shine even brighter as it consumed the rage inside the brown haired young man...as the energy of the ring morphed into a red spear, angry, dark. "You are selfish...only caring for your own safety. His only worry is his own skin...and trust me when I say he won't come to find your rotting corpses." Anzu knew this was the end...it needed to end soon. She shifted her gaze to her companion only for a second, knowing he would follow into the attack that would be their last, before she dashed forward, her fists ready.
The spear twirled skillfully in Koji's fingers, avoiding the punches the white haired woman threw at him. "You know this, don't you? You know that given the situation...he'll leave you behind." Steps forward...steps to the side and back...it was almost like a dance. Little nicks bit at Anzu's flesh, the burning sensation left by the spear making the woman hiss. His words were angering her...not because she believed them, but because he was trying to pick at any weakness that might have existed in her defenses. It angered her...but at the same time...she could understand the feelings behind his actions. They had left him behind...they had thought he'd be dead...and he had survived. Still... "You. Are. Wrong!"
Her fist connected with the spear, and like hundreds of glass shards, it shattered. Her ability, opposite to her brother's, was meant to destroy...to break. While Mashiro mended...she tore apart. "It is over, Koji..."
Only that when crimson eyes looked at emerald ones...she didn't see a gaze of defeat. He looked triumphant...the ghost of a smile on his lips. Anzu's instincts were screaming danger, the training she had gone through with her parents pushing her senses to their limit. And yet...far too late she noticed the trap she had all too willingly walked into. Surrounding them were figures holding up what looked like guns; almost like shadows, not completely there, but definitely real... and they were ready to shoot the moment she or Trip took one wrong step.
"It is over..." Koji answered coldly, his hand raised; the signal for the fires to get shot. And in an instant it moved, and Anzu closed her eyes, flinching. She had made a mistake...and there was nothing she could do. If only...she could speak with Mashiro one last time...
Only, death never came...and when she turned to Koji once again, there was something in his eyes...could she risk it and call it hesitation?
"I am done here. Like I said...Inigo wouldn't even care to come find you... It is Inigo I want to see suffering...There's no case in killing you right now...if he's not here to see. But hear this, Trip...Anzu... I will find him. And next time we meet...the outcome will be different."
And with that, he turned his back to them...and only after he had disappeared at the distance did the 'soldiers' dispersed...almost as smoke blown by the wind.
