The phones given to all members WP recruited had went off.

The message: A meeting. Time: 1am. The place: a large abandoned factory near the pier. The matter at hand: Destroying the DMC

To those who might suffer reprimands, they could wear a disguise. It wasn’t who they were that mattered. It was what they were doing. He stressed the risk to the Negaverse officers, sending them advice to also wear masks. The senshi and knights, are far as he could tell, did not have any authority to fear. They took no risk working with Chaos aside from being questioned by their peers and the risk of a potential backstab. They all had that risk. It was why he was on edge.

He arrived before anyone else to set up. He knew that Negaverse meetings only worked because their was an authority figure to strike the fear of god into anyone who would speak out of turn. The only authority figure would be those higher ranking in each group, and that meant that other groups could fight with higher officers. In the end, the main figure who had brought them together would be the only one to have to make them work together – WP. Wolframite was never a good public speaker. He had sweated buckets when he had been a senshi in disguise and spoke on television to tarnish their names. He had a long record of enemies, many of which who were going to gather soon. His nerves were rattled.

In hopes of somehow keeping anger and shouting to a minimum, he set up chairs in a square shape much like a classroom, with everyone facing the center, but he knew that the head end of the tables would be reserved for him and anyone else he felt comfortable with. He hoped Europa would be okay with sitting beside him and could direct the senshi should they act up. He’d try to get a member of chaos to sit next to him to serve as the mediator for that side. He had to remain in the middle of both those forces to direct them and remind them of their shared goals.

On the tables spaced about were juice boxes, Capri Suns, and baked goods. If anything, people were less likely to shout when they were enjoying a cookie, but if not, it certainly helped his mood a bit.
He made sure to call the cats first so they could work hiding the energy signatures that would grow in number shortly and draw too much attention. He could only hope no one had tipped anyone off to this meeting that shouldn’t.

Taking deep breathes, he waited, and soon the room started to fill. One by one, members of all sides were assembled and mingling around.

Quote:

Welcome to the Opposition Meeting.

Everyone was contacted via the prepaid phones to the time and date to meet. You can rp with your character just arriving or having arrived already. There are snacks and chairs for everyone to sit. If you speak with anyone, QUOTE THEM as interaction posts can get lost. This includes me as well.

If you have any questions, pm me. I’d be happy to answer them.
Note:

- Right now, just introduce yourself to others and mingle. I’ll have a post at 8pm EST Today to start the show.
- If you did not get a recruit rp, assume your character was met by WP.
- If you weren’t on the list, you can still join. Assume a member of your group knew you hated the DMC and brought you with them. You can hand-wave who this person is. Just write [New Member] above your post if you didn’t post in the plot recruitment thread.
- Disposables can arrive in this meeting if they are on the opposition side. If you don’t have a official character, this is your way to interact. YOU MUST POST IN THE PLOT THREAD if you are a disposable before posting here. This is for me to keep track. After you do that, you can post in here wthout the need to write [New Member].
- Negaverse: Since you could be outed to your superiors by the DMC if they see your face, WP has sent a message that it’s advised to wear a mask. It’s up to you how creative your mask is. Costume Shops are great places. >uO

1 AM was a terribly inconvenient time for someone whose daily schedule was meticulously planned, and yet Ganymede sauntered in at the appointed time, hoping that her fatigue looked like boredom and that her distrust and unease weren't too apparent in the suspicious sweep her eyes gave the room.

But then she thought she was right to be distrustful. Just because she'd agreed to come along didn't mean she had to throw all caution to the wind. After all, there wasn't any guarantee that she wasn't walking straight into a trap.

Why was she here then? She certainly didn't have any personal stake in this, nor was she the type to willingly court danger. Ganymede preferred to remain under the radar; the less her name got around, the less her enemy knew her, the better off she'd be. She'd spent three years in battle keeping her head low, avoiding the heart of the action, taking up a comfortable position on the periphery. She was there but not there; she had the experience, but not the name or the notoriety.

She supposed the answer was a simple case of curiosity. A bit of intrigue, too. Whether this mission ended in success or not made little difference to her so long as she came out of it unscathed and equipped the the necessary information to further solidify her opinions on either side. And if in doing so a bit of the aggression shifted the Negaverse's focus from the White Moon to the Dark Mirror Court, she thought she and her allies would be better off for it. Let the DMC serve as much of a distraction to the Negaverse as it'd served to them.

Ganymede spared a brief look toward the food and refreshments but chose not to partake in them. Who really knew what was in them? The chairs she ignored as well, at least until she had a better idea of who and what to expect. In the meantime, she remained standing near the exit with her arms folded over her chest, a tired, wary frown firmly in place, her eyes shifting from person to person, her posture tense and expectant.

Slipping out of the house was easy when your daddy believed his little girl to be a perfect little angel, in bed by 8:30. Makemake had never given him any reason to suspect otherwise, either. Still, 1AM was way past her bed time, and she was a sleepy little chibi, which meant she was getting irritable. She took a seat and started kicking her feet to and fro, both in effort to keep herself awake, and eagerness. She'd joined because she was curious, and there had only been so much her doofus cat could tell her. And the best knowledge was first hand! Not out of the stuttering mouth of a guardian cat who wasn't even there to begin with!

Europa was apprehensive about sitting to WP's right hand side. If he expected her to have any sort of clout over the rest of the white moon senshi, he was sorely mistaken: winged bows and seniority had been proven time and time again to mean next to nothing. She had tried twice to be a leader to her faction, and she had failed both times. Since the definition of insanity was repeating something and expecting different results, then a third attempt could only be described as madness.

But she would hate for their organizer to take her refusal as a sign of disrespect - especially after he had made it clear where he expected her to sit. Besides, she fully expected him to go back to trying to kill her once this collaborative effort ended, and she didn't want to betray any sign of weakness. Doing that might mark her as an easy target later - and although she was mostly recovered from her illness, she still felt like she was. Confidence was not so easily restored as muscle mass was.

So, like, the gist of these two paragraphs of navel gazing is that she sat beside WP and she tried to, at least, look like she was glad about it. And, as a measure of good faith, she took a cookie and placed it neatly on a napkin in her lap - although she decided she'd rather wait and see if any of the chaos-aligned guests ate, first.

While she waited for that to happen, Europa scanned the room, curious who WP's recruitment efforts had turned up. "Ganymede!" she called, spotting the familiar blonde. "Come sit by me. Please?" She tried to make puppy dog eyes at her friend. She probably failed. But if Europa was going to spend this evening as WP's right-hand girl, then she wanted Ganymede to be her right-hand girl. For, like, emotional support. And stuff. Safety blanket stuff.

Europa's presence only came as a partial surprise. Until the unfortunate incident that had laid her teammate out for over a year, Ganymede had grown accustomed to seeing Europa at gatherings and battles, and had always taken comfort from her presence there. It was no different now that Europa had returned, though Ganymede's brief twitch of a smile hardly showed her relief.

Then, of course, there was the event that had served as a precursor to the Jovians' formation. Though Ganymede had no personal vendetta against the Dark Mirror Court, she had not forgotten its impact on Europa, or that Europa's cousin was involved. She supposed it was only natural for Europa to be there then, and as her teammate and friend it was only natural for Ganymede to support her.

Still, Ganymede felt a miniscule shred of unease at Europa's presence—unease that found its roots in worry. She approached quickly, eyeing their masked accomplice with a mild distaste she found difficult to conceal.

“You sure you're up for this?” she ducked down to whisper in Europa's ear.

It was sorely tempting to insist that her teammate rest and sit this one out, but Ganymede thought such a request was likely to be denied under the personal circumstances at play, and in any case it felt reassuring to have the familiarity there whether she thought it wise or not for Europa to willingly place herself into a stressful (and incredibly dangerous) position. She settled into the chair on Europa's right and held her tongue against any concerned babbling, but reached for her teammate's hand under the table and gave it a squeeze—giving comfort and asking for some in return.

For WP she spared another suspicious frown, which she forced into a bit of a smug smirk a moment later. Her nerves pushed her to speak more than common sense did, and her voice was airy as she taunted, “Isn't it lovely, all of us coming together like this? There's a first time for everything, I suppose, and it's not as if you have too many other options. I do take great pleasure knowing we're so needed.”

As the masked general referring to himself as WP had promised, the prepaid phone had buzzed with a message containing a time and location. Although he had noted both, part of Falias wished that it wasn't being held quite so early in the morning knowing that he was likely going to pay for this as Marlin when he worked on pre-shop stuff prior to opening up Fancy A Change later on in the morning.

Having committed himself to this however, Falias wasn't about to back out and reached the warehouse just after 1. He wasn't the first there, the masked General, two eternals both unfamiliar and a... Green eyes looked startled as he spotted the kid with the braided pigtails kicking her feet to and fro as she sat on one of the seats, wondering if he was seeing things but nope there really was a kid sitting on a chair - a cute kid with purple ribbons tying off her pigtails.

Helping himself to a juice and a cookie and wishing the juice was something stronger, like at least coffee, Falias sat on a chair and started to eat the cookie and tried his best not to stare too hard at the kid.

Was she sure she was up to this? Europa hesitated. She had no idea what kind of force the dark mirror would mass to meet them, and she had yet to see how many their side actually numbered. Leto would at least match herself in power by now - and then, once you considered that when order countered chaos, chaos was almost certainly the more powerful of the two... a match for herself was an understatement by far.

But WP had promised his aid. You can have her heart, and I'll take her starseed. He had the psychic signature of a general. So, after perhaps a moment too much of consideration to seem precisely confident, Europa nodded. "Yes," she said. "I've worked hard to get back into fighting shape. I'm ready for this."

She wondered if she should warn Ganymede of her plans for Leto. Would doing so scare the other girl? Make her worry that Europa was on a dizzy spiral towards corruption? Europa didn't feel like she was at risk, but then, she supposed no one ever felt like they were at risk for corruption until their hair grew and their uniform turned black and at that point it was too late to really question your life choices.

"The DMC is an outside intrusion on the war," she intoned, following Ganymede's statement about being needed. She'd tell her about Leto later. Or maybe it would come up. Could she trust WP to have communicated that Leto's death was to be hers, and while he could have her starseed, Europa wanted to be the one to rip the life out of the senshi of camouflage, and watch the light go out behind her red eyes?

"They're a cancer. A blight. They don't belong here and WP is smart to realize that they've got no loyalty to the Negaverse. Their alliance is like keeping a wild animal as a pet," she said. "Everyone benefits the sooner we get rid of them, and it's in our best interest to not fight a two-front war."

She gave Ganymede's had a squeeze and shot her friend a small smile. "We'll be okay," she said quietly. "This is our best shot."

He sat, looking at those filing in and feeling a sinking in wondering who had chickened out. The senshi, for the most part, were unreliable and tended to run when faced with danger. He was pretty sure they didn’t have quotas, and they generally felt a war could be won without violence and bloodshed. A nice IDEA, but it was a completely unrealistic. He tried to weed those ones out for those who could fight and not just become another body to walk over during the battle. He also wasn’t sure about the time. He knew senshi patrolled at night, just as he did, and if they could leave to patrol, then a night meeting should have been best. Rightt?

Just as doubt started to creep its ugly head, he glanced over to the scantly-clad senshi who had sat next to Europa and decided to poke at the fact he had assembled senshi here. It was clear she was egging him on, and while he knew what he was doing was a great kick to his pride, having his nose rubbed in it was not the way to go. He also wouldn’t allow a senshi to think he was weak and could be easily taunted.

He leaned in, picking up a cookie from the table – as it seemed everyone was against baked goods enough not to really touch them. “It is nice to gather like this when it is absolutely necessary and to test if the factions that claim to care about this planet actually would follow it up with action. The amount of order and actual amount of action taking place must be refreshing for someone on your side. I generally hear the consensus that you remain leaderless and disorganized. It makes you very vulnerable. I’m happy to help provide some security where other groups lack.”

He lifted his mask just enough to eat the cookie and allow a moment of pause. “I think some factions forget the DMC had started on the side of Order or like to wash their hands of the issue. Some members have a sense of personal responsibility.” He tucked the mask back into place. “I just want to see them all bleed out as much as they have murdered those close to me and robbed them of the ability to even defend themselves.

He looked to Ganymede and cocked his head to one side. “The question is, while I’m willing to die for my cause, who is willing to say the same thing and mean it among the ones I’ve managed to convince to join?”

There were times in his life where the knight of Jupiter didn’t feel young any more, but he also didn’t feel old — it was like he was caught somewhere in the middle of this whirlwind where time stood still and nothing progressed. He was stuck at some kind of crossroads that he didn’t fully understand, but then again, he didn’t want to know.

It was times like tonight where he was stuck trying to figure out what the hell he was doing with his life. Why was he there at some ill-fated meeting where air reeked of chaotic aura. Rotting starseeds inside brainwashed sheep. And yet here he was, standing there. Observing, waiting, ready for the worst to happen — and it would happen… it always did.

Still at this particular crossroads, Sessrumnir was unsure of whether he regretted powering up that night, regretted running into his sister-in-law, regretted feeling so damn responsible for her safety since his oblivious brother had no idea where she was.

And as Ganymede went to stand by the other Jovian, the one who’d only recently gotten back into the whole mess of things after almost dying, Sessrumnir found himself standing back. Did the other Jovians believe this was a cause worthy of their lives?

There were others there as well. Another knight, younger than he was, and a child as well. And with that, Sessrumnir knew he couldn’t turn and leave, even if he wanted to. Not with children there… not with family there.

He cursed under his breath and made his way over to sit near the child, a seat separating them as he crossed his arms over his chest and sighed deeply. The last thing he wanted was for these people to take advantage of her presence and kill her or something.

Taking a cue from WP, Bischofite implemented the use of a carefully crafted mask and easily obtained cloak, which both obscured his telling face paint and series of skulls hung from his waist. The mask itself looked curiously similar to bone, with a long beak structure similar to a plague doctor's mask. The eye wells allowed for decent exposure of peripheral vision, thus mitigating the encumbrance of donning a mask. Additionally, it sported purely aesthetic features - a pair of red strings tied to the bottom of one eye well, which connected to the back of the mask, and a single red thread ended in a gold ring. However, the mask only covered half his face - his mouth remained readily visible beneath the beak.

In entering the abandoned warehouse, gold eyes scrutinized its occupants. Some faces remained unfamiliar, while others more recent acquisitions - WP among them. However, the general's cold gaze settled on the blonde senshi sporting black and white attire, whom he remembered from events long past. A crooked smile bloomed across his features and his previously acerbic gaze twisted into childish mirth at the very sight of the woman. A guttural laugh bubbled at his throat, as the events of their initial meeting played through his mind.

In truth Bischofite did not expect the White Moon or their knightly counterparts to partake in such a plan. Maybe it was folly to assume so, but the majority of their kind insisted on life preservation for any living organism - a direct conflict to Bischofite's sensibilities. However, to see even a pair of senshi here indicated that they either intended to play the game and watch two enemies destroy one another (more likely) or actively assist Chaos in thwarting Chaos. But even the most benevolent of the White Moon possessed a certain measure of wit - surely they understood that this sudden emphasis on the destruction of the Dark Mirror Court played to their advantage, regardless of who won.

And in truth, he was willingly partaking in weakening the Negaverse. No, not quite - those who live through the day exist as stronger officers, while the weak are weeded out through murder. And truly, what was the Dark Mirror but an ominous non-ally? Dead children, as she said, and even youma lacked a use for corpses.

Finally Bischofite crossed the threshold and advanced upon the seating provided. From there he approached his masked comrade, the one calling for the mass extermination of the Dark Mirror, and took a seat nearby. One empty chair sat between the two, and Bischofite intended to keep it that way. "WP," he began in the most Americanized accent he could manage, in an attempt to emulate the man's manner of speech. "I hope you'f acquired more zan two senshi, a knight and a child for zis rare form of genocide. If not, it looks like I'f signed myself up for a rancorous attempt at suicide. Eizer way, it pleases me." And likely at least one of the senshi present.

Refreshments lingered untouched at the center of the table, and the general glanced over them before passing on the offerings entirely. Were he interested in eating, he preferred a much more memorable final meal. "WP - prison inmates receif' better sustenance before zeir execution. Should I take it zat zese meager offerings mean you expect us to win?" A gloved hand swept toward the Capri Sun and various cookies.

“Oh, I don't plan on dying for you or your cause,” Ganymede responded easily. “I don't fight to die for anything. I fight to live. Dying now would be kind of counterproductive.”

She slid her hand out of Europa's and leaned against the chair-back, tipping it backwards and balancing on its hind legs with her arms tossed lazily behind her head. The picture of ease and nonchalance—and certainly not how she really felt about this motley gathering, but she wasn't about to let an enemy know about the depth of her reservations if she could help it.

Europa's comments passed with a curious glance tossed in her direction but not much comment, though Ganymede grew increasingly more uneasy. Under different circumstances she might have countered some of her teammate's statements, or encouraged a more in depth conversation on the topic, but she didn't trust that any sign of even minor discord between them on anything wouldn't be taken advantage of, whether that be now or at a later date. Normally Ganymede had no reservations about voicing differing opinions or being obstructively argumentative, but she was also smart enough to know that now wasn't the time for that. She held her tongue instead, and determined to stick by her teammate to keep an eye on her.

She didn't have to like what she'd agreed to, nor did she have to agree with everything that was discussed in order to get something out of the endeavor, but she'd be damned if any of it came between her and her teammates' ability to work together.

“I think you forget that some of your Senshi started out on our side, too,” Ganymede pointed out, carelessly teetering back and forth in her chair. “Or maybe you don't forget. Must just be a superiority thing. Anyway, you want to take them out, sure, go for it. Let's do it. It'll be fantastic. And then we can all go back to killing each other, yeah?”

The front legs of Ganymede's chair clattered back to the floor as she leaned over the table on her elbows, cradling her face between both hands. She grinned broadly, a snarky upturn of red lips.

“I hope you don't regret this,” she said snidely. “Out of all of us, you've got the most to lose, don't you? I guess if you're willing the risk it, it's not too much trouble for us to tag along.”

The arrival of another masked officer did not go unnoticed by Ganymede, and there was something about his voice and discernible accent that pressed her nerves and set her on edge. She dragged her elbows off of the table and sat back in her chair again, subconsciously putting some distance between them as she stared across the table and leveled him with a suspicious frown. It was a struggle to remain cool and collected when unease bubbled away within her, but she managed it with a fierce determination not to appear weak or more vulnerable than she already knew herself to be. She turned to Europa with an intense look on her face, attempting a bit of silent communication.

'Watch out for that one,' that look said.

"I'm with Ganymede," agreed Europa quickly, ready to present a united front with her teammate and because it was a good statement. "I'm here because not only do I believe in the cause, but I also believe we can win. No one has ever made a concentrated strike like this against the DMC, and I think that with the power you've assembled..." She glanced around at who was here so far, counted herself and Ganymede - two eternal senshi, a knight and a squire, WP and the other general, and a chibi senshi whose presence made concern rise in Europa's throat. "I think we stand a good chance, if the rest of your forces follow suit."

Someone should tell her to go home, she thought about the little girl, shooting WP a look - had he recruited her deliberately? Was she tagging along with someone else? It certainly wasn't a situation she liked.

"It's true that the DMC grew out of our own faction, yes," she copped. "But none of us are here to deny that. Ares was a false prophet, and they followed her into darkness, and there are many of us who bear the guilt of not intervening in their fall. You know my reasons for joining your fight, General." Leto had fallen because Europa had been too self-absorbed to pay attention to her cousin, even when she'd seen the less experienced senshi struggling - or at least this was what shape the guilt had taken in her mind, regardless of facts.

She glanced towards the newly-arrived general, and she caught Ganymede's eye. Watch out for that one, her look said, and Europa nodded slightly. Anyone who chose to wear a blood red plague doctor's mask was a very specific kind of person, she appraised. But - he raised a valid point. If their ranks did not fill in, then they were doomed.

"How many people are you expecting to join us?" she asked WP, and reached for a Capri Sun packet. Their numbers would need to double or triple by the time the meeting was underway for her to feel properly confident.

Zircon hadn't been sure what to expect from this whole operation. The small pre-paid phone had sat by her nightstand, waiting for its coordinates, but every time she looked at it a part of her yearned to just toss it out the window before she could set herself up for even more trouble. Going through with this plan was madness, it meant going against an alliance set by her commanding officers, her betters, and she was likely setting herself up to never getting promoted, or something even worse. Nevertheless, when she thought about possibly ridding the world of at least one flavor of senshi, it steeled her shaky resolve, her gut instinct telling her that she was on the right side.

When she received her instructions, the first order of business was a trip to the costume shop for something appropriately innocuous. Masks were a level of cheese that she hadn't agreed to when she signed up for the operation, but she supposed that if she was willing to oppose direct orders from the General-Kings that she needed to be able to sully her dignity as well. She ultimately decided that if she was going to look campy that she was going to do it as minimalist as possible, picking out an unpainted white mask and a long black wig for good measure. Covering up her uniform was slightly easier: donning one of her black winter trench-coats, the only thing to see were her brown boots and a couple of inches of leather pants, which could have belonged to any number of officers.

With her disguise on, Zircon took to the streets, arriving at the factory grounds just before 1. Already on approach she could feel a number of the sickly clean auras of Order in the building proper, as well as several more welcoming beacons of chaos. In the moments before she let herself in, doubt began to creep up in the dark corners of her mind. If she left now, then no one would have to know she'd been here and she could just forget about the mission entirely. None of her superior officers would ever have to know that she had almost been a traitor, and the road to her Captaincy could continue had planned. But then again...what if those signatures were some of her superior officers? What if this was another test? With one final pause to calm the flutters in her heart, Zircon adjusted the edges of her wig and coat, exhaling sharply as she swung the door inwards.

At the sight of two eternals in the room, Zircon almost immediately regretted her decision. However, she forced herself to remain calm, the heels of her boots clicking on the concrete as she made her way over to the two generals. She tried her best to keep her head tall and proud, but there was something stiff to the way she moved that betrayed her unease. Taking a seat a space away from Bischofite (as seemed to be the current pattern), she looked quietly to WP before taking stock in the current roster of attendees. Her gaze lingered longer on the chibi than the others: of all people, she would have hoped to keep children out of this. Just because the White Moon felt the need to recruit child soldiers didn't mean that they needed them for this cause.

To help calm her nerves, she tentatively reached for one of the Capri Sun pouches, though she didn't open it just yet. Looking back to WP, she sat the pouch in her lap, the expression behind the mask apprehensive. "I'll admit, when I thought of the words uprising, I thought there would be...'more'," she added to the general crowd sentiment with a slight gesture to the emptiness of the room. What she really meant was 'more Negaverse agents', as the current match-up left her ill at ease, but that wasn't a statement she was going to make within earshot of a couple of White Mooners. She used the motion towards the crowd as the chance to open her drink, seeing that one of the eternal senshi had already done so, and slid the straw underneath the chin of her glossy white mask. Her glance moved back to the eternals, who she scrutinized with a long stare. Had she seen them on a battlefield before? It was certainly a possibility.

Zircon hoped the meeting wouldn't be long: this stupid wig was already starting to itch.

Almost as soon as she stepped into the room, Penthesilea grimaced faintly. Certianly there were plenty of Order auras, and that was reassuring, but the Chaos ones were powerful - and one of the officers was familiar, too familiar, really. One of the first Negas she'd fought, quite some time ago. Perhaps she could hope the Lieutenant didn't remember, because she very much hoped this wouldn't end up awkward.

Rather than directly interact, she waltzed her way over to the table, scooping up a Capri Sun and a cookie and proceeding to munch away. She tried to ignore that the closest people to her were a pair of Generals, one of whom was very much taller than her. It was much easier to just snack, at least for now.

After all, her purpose wasn't to make friends - it was to crush any Dark Mirror she could underneath her wonderful metal heels.

For all those aghast at the chibi being there, they'd probably feel less so the moment she opened her bratty mouth. In fact, they'd probably be willing to throw her to the wolves personally if she got too bad. However, Makemake was banking strongly on people's inherit belief that children were 'untouchable' and needed to be protected.

Obviously they needed to watch a few more horror movies.

Makemake might of looked like a sweet little doll, but she wasn't. She was sharp as a tack, with a mouth like a shark and an attitude like a...like a..... Something full of attitude! She was also a firm believer in justice, and these Dark Mirror senshi had, from what she gathered, done something so bad and unjust that it would bring Chaos and Order together against them. Well, that was good enough for her. Of course, she hadn't quite grasped the concept that she was putting her life at risk, but...she was a kid.

She was, however, well away of eyes on her. It irritated her. She put on a haughty face and gave a little kick to the empty chair in front of her.
