For the last time he checked his appearance in the rear-view mirror; Colin was wearing dark jeans, a long-sleeved undershirt in black and a t-shirt over it in brown that read "death before dishonour" in a tattoo-esque style. He also had his Commander's pin on, of course...he was Trekkie that wasn't about to pretend he wasn't. Anyway, he looked fine, but he was a bit worried about his appearance..mostly due to the fact that he would be meeting Björn's current roommate and talking about having him move in as well. It was Björn's place though, so...with his one-again boyfriend's approval, he was pretty sure that part would be fine. But would he get along with the other guy? Colin got out of the parked car he'd borrowed from his mother and hefted his overnight bag onto one shoulder before locking it; with one hand he pulled his cellphone -not the senshi one, that was buried deeply in his bag, just in case- from his pocket so he could check the time and ping his boyfriend that he'd arrived. Of course Björn would have realized it shortly anyway, when Colin came a knockin'...but still, it would give him - and Nischal - a bit of warning.

Björn, being no real kind of cook, had made sure to ask Anna if she'd be willing to provide for the first visiting meal of Colin's visit to the apartment. She'd been delighted, more-than-excited as only mothers could be about the prospective love life of their children. She'd sent over a Bread Strata with red bell peppers, yellow onion, garlic, thyme, grated Gruyere, and...admittedly some milk and eggs as well. He wasn't certain if in the meantime Colin was still vegetarian, had gone further and would be offended by the eggs, or what his diet was. At least there was also polenta-stuffed poblano peppers as a side dish that had neither dairy nor even egg as animal product. Hopefully Nischal was excited about the stuff as well, instead of the two of them having to figure out what to cook. He'd slid a note under the boy's closed door, which was so often closed and isolating, to at least ask him out to join the company, to get his opinion on the arrangement, and could only hope that the little lord would find it something interesting and worthy of his time. Nischal needed to have some sort of life outside of work, but if he did, Björn was notably out of the loop of it. And worried that maybe, possibly, there wasn't one. His phone buzzed in his pocket while he mixed juice with seltzer for drinks, a quick check of the message and number confirmed it was Colin. He put the mixins down and headed to the door, while risking calling out to Nischal - hopefully the youth wouldn't mind the interruption to the general quiet of the apartment, "Nischal, Colin is here! I will heat up dinner soon if you like some, too and join us? " Then opened the front door.

Earlier, when talking with his own mother about the dinner invite, the question of what was on the menu had come up - and Colin had kind of shrugged, thought about it and then sort of face-palmed because he was still a vegetarian (like before - eggs, milk, etc were okay as long as the production animals weren't abused in the process) but no, he hadn't made that known to Björn when they'd been speaking before. Whups! But it really had been too late to do anything about it. Colin just figured he'd either have to deal with it, bring something to snack on...and/or hope that Björn remembered his preference for eating "what food eats". Rebecca had shaken her head at her son and then started to ask what they'd been doing that whole time that planning a menu for the visit hadn't come up, but thought better of it. Moms. When Björn opened the door to let him in, Colin pounced and threw his arms around the bigger blonde's neck, over-night bag hanging off him kind of like he was hanging off Björn. "Hi! You look nice~" He smiled brightly and gave Björn a kiss of greeting too; exuberant displays of affection were a hazard - or just a side-effect - of being with the dancer. Björn would get used to them (again) in time. Probably. Once back on both feet - and with the door shut behind him - he'd peer around curiously, wanting to see - and, of course meet - Nischal. "Is your roommate here? Oh! Before I forget..." Down on one knee he went, rummaging through his bag carelessly, "Mom insisted I bring a gift and that it not be alcoholic." Found it! A bottle of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider came out of his bag, along with a pair of white athletic socks and a hair brush. Two of the three items got stuffed back in and zipped away, but the Cider he stood and offered to Björn. "I talked her out of a giant fruit basket, you can thank me later."

Life right now seemed to be nothing but a dull looping image for Nischal right now. There was no drive inside of him to do anything, just the urge to lie on his bed, stare up at the cold, uninviting ceiling and listen to the same songs over and over again. It seemed like his self imposed isolation was filled with nothing but music that was drawing him further and further into this hole that was quickly looking too deep to climb out of. It wasn't as if all the people around him weren't offering him help. Bethany and her kind words, and his motherly relationship with Raven both got him thinking, speaking again, but now the very idea of the value of his self worth seemed pointless to even consider. Yet it seemed Bjorn saw some sort of worth in him. He hadn't been kicked out yet, though what did that mean in the vastness of things? He was paying rent so why would he kick him out? There was the note, though.. A nice, warm note, inviting him to dinner with the two, to meet and possibly make a friend in this one who Bjorn regarded so highly. As much as he longed for it, Nischal wasn't quite sure he was ready to go out there. he had finally decided to clean up, discarding his normal t-shirt and shorts (he wasn't leaving his room anyway, what did he care about the weather outside?), for something a bit more pleasant, a warm, dull grey sweater with a pair of dark jeans that he seemed to swim in. Maybe this was a terrible idea. Maybe he should just remain silent, let the others think that maybe he wasn't home. No, that was stupid, Bjorn had probably heard him shifting about the room earlier.. And the smell of the food was just too tempting, wafting under his doorway.. He couldn't resist, and with a deep breath, he opened his long closed door, and stepped out, seeing the two infront of the entryway. What was he thinking? Why did he open the door in the first place? How could he even dare try to impeded on such warm and loving happiness that existed far before he had ever come here. This wasn't a meeting for three, no, it was a reunion of lovers wasn't it?! Why the hell was he even invited?! He didn't belong here, he didn't belong in a place with such warmth and light radiating away from it. Was it too late to go back into his room before the others saw the distress and anxiousness that was beginning to over come his small frame? He could alway eat later when the two depart or something.. His feet wouldn't move though, he was stuck, frozen on the spot just outside of the door, and his stomach argued against him, telling him that it was foolish to even try to go back to the room. "I..." His voice cracked, and he quickly shut his mouth again, so unused to speaking after going wordless for days on end. It was one hell of impression he was making.. Syrie Sorry! I typed this and I feel like I just brought everything down. D:

Björn accepted the bottle gratefully, nodding his head over it. Not going to someone's door empty handed was an old custom, and so one that he found both warming and applicable to his daily, medieval understanding. "I am glad ...she approves still." The gift coming especially from the matron lady meant all the more- not so much treat Colin as having a dowry or anything of the like. But that she didn't mind him as the man courting her son. If this all worked out.... Well, he'd have to see how those bridges and challenges were when he came to them. He was no good at making plans. But at Colin's looking, and hearing Nischal's door open, the strongman looked down the small hall to see the youth looking like he was ready to run back into his room. It meant he needed a reassurance, probably, which they could easily tag team. "Nischal! Come on, the food is ready to be plated. Colin, this is Nischal, Nischal...this is my old roommate from Hillworth, Colin. Well, roommate and boyfriend. As I mentioned, we might consider having him join us here? Do you like cider, Nischal?" "I guess you do, Colin? Apples aren't meat. " "I hope you are still vegetarian? Dinner is just vegetarian. Not the no cheese no eggs kind. But the one thing is whatever-that-is friendly. Anna provided it, so it is better than I could have done. A celebration."

"She adores you Björn...I think she mourned for a week when we broke up." Even though they had both agreed to it because he would be going away for so long and had parted on really good terms. Of course, he hadn't exactly thrown a party afterwards either, but that was to be expected. His mom being sad too, well...it had been a nice - and kind of amusing - surprise. "I think she was..a little surprised I came home that night." What that said about him he wasn't sure. Colin didn't have time to think about it much though, because Nischal chose that time to make his first appearance, slipping out from his room and then freezing in place. He looked...small-ish - or perhaps he only seemed that way because the clothing he wore seemed almost comically over-sized on him - and had that deer-in-the-headlights look that bespoke of nothing so much as a wont to flee back into the room from whence he came. Colin could tell that Nischal was one of those types of people that both wanted to be part of things but worried about being in the way...he'd had friends before that reacted like that when meeting a "friend of a friend" (or boyfriend of a friend?). Björn seemed to notice it too, he could tell. Hopefully Nischal would relax and they could all have a nice meal together, get to know each other some. "Hi Nischal!" With a wide smile Colin moved towards the dark-haired youth to greet him. "I'm really happy that you're home tonight - Björn wasn't sure you would be." He didn't bother with a hand-shake (which was usually reserved for formal occassions or people with grey hairs and more wrinkles than he had sense), the dancer went for an arm looped around Nischal's shoulders, though he did hold back on giving the youth a noogie. "You are going to eat with us, aren't you? I've been looking forward to meeting you since Björn mentioned he had a room-mate." "Besides, you do not want to miss Anna's cooking. Trust me." He chuckled and winked at Nischal before answering his boyfriend's question(s), "Yep, still vegetarian. I should've reminded you the other day...but I forgot." Animal-friendly bi-products were still A-O.K. too; it pleased him immensely that Björn had remembered (even if he hadn't) because it showed that he cared. Björn always had been pretty good about the "little things" like that. Ah, but he should probably put his bag away, shouldn't he? "Where should I drop my stuff? As fun as it is to cart my bag around, I should probably put it away and wash up before we eat..."

"I uh.. Hello. I'm actually always here just never really leave my room.." There was no need to tell him why, right? It wasn't as if his room was filthy and reeked when the door was opened. His room was the only place that he seemed to find solace. Luckily, he wasn't really one who was bothered with being touched, in fact, he enjoyed hugs and affection, but it still felt so awkward to be hugged in such a manner. Colin was warm and just radiated happiness in the room, as if his entire life was sunshine and sweets. It was refreshing, to see that even with his own state of mind, he couldn't bring down the mood as quickly as it seemed as of late. Every interaction between the two that he witnessed so quickly was that of a very loving couple. To say that Nischal was jealous would be putting the entire situation overly lightly. Maybe it wasn't so much that he was jealous of romance or anything, but to have that kind of connection with another, to actually feel loved and needed rather than being dealt with due to obligation, that's what he envied. But he couldn't lash out at them, they were trying, and even if it didn't help too much, at least they tried. Everyone was trying, yet he couldn't bring himself to accept their efforts as whole-heartedly as he once did. Once the older man parted from him, he straightened himself up a bit, nodding towards Björn, peeking over to see the cider that was brought in. It was just fancy apple soda. Or something of the sort anyway. "If he wants to move in, it's fine with me. As long as I'm not in the way of anything, or If I'd make anything awkward.." They were a couple, right? So a couple plus one.. The walls here weren't so thick, were they..? Maybe he should start looking for a new place to live if Colin were to come. Though initially he was just fine with the idea, and thought it might even be fun, but now it just felt so invasive. Maybe if he did move in he really wouldn't leave his room. With how bubbily that Colin came off as, it seemed a bit more than a little difficult to ignore him, and if he wanted Nischal to come out, he probably wouldn't take no for an answer. Syrie Curse lack of keeping track of life! I got this! I'm on top now!

"Living at a boarding school is practice in group life without making things awkward. At least I hope not to be. A lot of people live in apartments with housemates and roommates. It just takes being polite. " "Besides, Colin is not so scary as me, maybe. " The dancer had a way with just being in everyone's space and in lives without being obtrusive or abrasive. As much as they'd gone to Hillworth together, the dancer had never seemed very intimidating to anyone there either, even if he'd landed himself in the correctional school by legitimate means. 'Twinkle-toes' was less stupid too- maybe Nischal woudl have an easier time talking with him. "Ah, my room is that door, " Björn motioned with a paw. "Colin, Your bag can go where you like it. " He didn't expect that Colin could fit enough Star Trek stuff in one little bag to make it a new geek nest, but the other would hopefully find a mattress on the floor in a corner familiar enough to be well comfortable in the shared space. I should build a box platform for it so it does not be on the floor. Or like those footed flat frames in the IKEA catalog. "Laundry is all fresh. There are navy towels for you to use, Colin, and any of my toiletries if you need. They are the same brand as at Hillworth." The strongman busied himself again heaping food on plates and putting cutlery on them. Hopefully the other two had appetites as large as one might hope of youths their age.

Colin was smiling, but inside he felt like face-faulting when Nischal mentioned that he was always in the apartment but never really left his room. That wasn't normal, not at all - which meant either the dark-haired youth had some sort of company-related phobia (the fact that he was out of his room right now kind of killed that idea)...or the poor kid had some major, deep-standing issues. That sort of thing always made him feel bad, 'cause nobody deserved to feel so small that they felt they deserved to always be hidden away. It also hit too close to home, since for his first year at Hillworth had pretty much been spent hiding away in his room or dodging the verbal slings and arrows of others; both had sucked greatly, because Colin was a gregarious, social creature. His life might have seemed like it was nothing but sunshine and sweets, but he'd had his share of darkness too...he was just that much of an optimist that he kept moving foward with a bright smile, hunting out those silver linings and doing what hre could to share the good things with those he cared about. "I'm pretty sure that out of the three of us, I'm the one most likely to get in the way Nischal, especially when I'm taking up all the space so I can practice." He wanted to find some way to reassure Nischal that things would work out just fine, that he wasn't going to be in the way or anything of the sort and that someday whatever was making him feel so 'down' about things would go away. "Björn's gotten used to me dancing around, or he had...I'm really hoping it won't bother you too much." Aw, Björn was being sweet and calling him "not so scary". Clearly he forgot the way he looked during finals week when he wasn't getting much sleep between dance, school and Senshi duties. The blond hefted his bag and headed towards his boyfriend's room; he didn't take a long look - there wasn't much in the room, but that was pretty Björn-like - before dropping his bag on the floor next to the bed and one wall before removing his shoes and heading to the bathroom to wash and dry his hands. "I see you're still decorating in 'Early Monk', Björn." He chuckled as he made his way over to Nischal, Björn and the plates of food. "That looks delicious, remind me to send your mom a thank-you card." Colin whistled and picked up a plate, offering it to Nischal, "Are you a meat-eater like Björn? I'm a vegetarian, but I don't mind the smell of meat-stuff being cooked. Actually, I can cook some of it too, 'cause I'm the only non-carnivore in my family." "I know that can be a problem for some people when it comes to sharing space." Ivynian HA! Björn is wrong, Colin borrowed Mary Poppin's bag! ITS FULL OF NERD SWAG!!! "I've always lived alone, until Bjorn was kind enough to bring me in once my family returned to India and I was left behind." Which was a straight up lie, but close enough. Back when he had lived in the mansion, there were always people around. But the rooms were the size of this apartment, the house like an endless maze with all of it's rooms and corridors.. He could honestly have gone days and days without seeing his parents or siblings. But that was okay, that didn't matter anymore. He was here now. "I'm not afraid, really, just.. A bit anxious is all. But you say you dance? I used to dance alot too. I just don't.. It sounds so stupid but I can't find any joy in it right now. But I'll figure it out soon enough." That's what he continually told himself. It WOULD get better, life would be happy again, he WOULD find his joy and this time he wouldn't let it go. That time just hadn't come yet.. And the world was getting darker and darker. But he would be fine. It would all be fine. "I eat what is given to me, there isn't much I don't like. I'm not very picky, but I can enjoy a good meal.. And this truly, does smell fantastic, thank you." Curiously enough, the urge to just go back into his room was subsiding. He certainly still felt as if he didn't belong in this scene, with the two lovers meeting again after being apart, but maybe he could draw himself in there somewhere. Maybe as the family pet. The kind they have to take care of and look after due to obligation, that would fit. Just a dog. No, not even a dog. A fish. In his mind, no one takes care of fish due to love or affection. They are there, they are pretty, and that was all. He could do that, he could be the fish, and his room could be his bowl. Nice, clean, and out of the way.

"Community is a good way to find dance steps again. Or to collect little happiness's until they are a full picture." Björn gave a hearty nod, grabbing plate and directing their small congress towards the living room area. For ease, pulled a side pillow to the floor and sat on it, leaned back against the couch for a backrest. "The plan was for a movie, ja? Colin, did you bring some of yours to choose from? Its between that, if you did, and what Nischal has. I still only have one movie." And Colin likely knew exactly which one it was, too. If Colin did bring any, it is probably space trek movies. I don't know- " Nischal, do you like 'sci-fi' things? "

Left behind? And in America, while his parents returned to India? Good god, even that was a bit much for Colin's bright nature to not react to, but he did his best to not let his eyebrows go all the way up to his hairline. Instead he breathed in slowly, like when he was meditating, and then nodded at Nischal's story with only slightly-less of a smile on his face than before. Thankfully the conversation moved beyond Nischal's apparently distressing "origins" and onto things that the curly-haired blond found much easier to discuss. "Mhmm, I've danced for as long as I can remember." He tilted his head at the youth's mention that he used to dance, but didn't any more. There was quite the story there, but he wasn't going to ask about that sort of thing the first time they met - no matter how interesting the stories might have been. So he just smiled, nodded and allowed himself to be guided to the living room with his plate. He agreed with Björn that living communally was a good way to improve someone's outlook (if not mood) - it was hard to be too down in the dumps when you had others to help pull you out of it. Colin settled near Björn, one leg tucked up under himself. "Oh, that's right! I almost forgot - I brought a couple movies." He gave his boyfriend a slant-wise look when the big blond asked Nischal if he liked "sci-fi" things, but the corners of his mouth were bowed up. "I brought a couple of movies, mostly sci-fi...but there's an action movie or two in there as well - courtesy of Mom. I'll go grab them." He set his plate down and went back into Björn's room to fetch a small stack of movies that they could chose from: Star Trek (the 2009 reboot), RED, Inception, The Matrix, Gamer and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. Once he'd shown what he had to offer, he picked up his plate while they debated.

He wasn't expecting a movie, no not at all. All Nischal had considered was food, then the movie was brought up, and he bristled a bit. Damn, so much for going back to hiding.. He took his place on a chair a bit ways away from them. Close enough to still be included in the group, but far enough not to be invasive or feel uncomfortable. It was just one movie, he could work just fine with that. "Well.. I love stories.. Deep, intricate stories.. Which one would work best?" He wasn't one for sci-fi or action packed movies. Granted, maybe he was a chick-flic kinda person, or dramas.. But one of these movies had something like that, right? He had heard Star Trek was pretty deep.. "One of the Star Trek movies then..? I've never seen any of them."

Nichal hadn't precisely answered whether he liked science fiction or not, but at least he narrowed down the selection offered. Were those movies deep at all? Or intricate? Björn was possibly the worst judge of intricacy or deepness, so he simply gave a pleasant nod to support the two of them in the working out of the decision from the point of 'star trek' as a suggestion. Colin knew all the movies, books, tv series and everything in that intellectual property by heart anyway. He'd be able to pick out what was 'intricate' or 'deep'. Björn didn't really much care what the movie was- most movies were beyond his comprehension or care. Being with friends, just relaxing, and feeling others near and warm was his chief pleasure. Other than the food. Maybe this will work out. Maybe this will really work out. "We could do this once a week maybe? A house dinner and a movie for everyone to relax? Maybe your movies to pick next week, Nischal?" Syrie This one is probably ready for closer posts - Cooro Cooro - in a Fade-To-Black with the start of the movie?

Nischal was an odd fellow and clearly had some issues that were far beyond what he felt comfortable with tackling (way above his pay-grade, really.) But he was also nice enough and Colin decided then and there he’d find a way to befriend him - it would definitely help if they were to be living together for any length of time. “Okay, in that case I think we’ll go with the 2009 reboot. Wrath of Khan’s an amazing movie, but if you haven’t seen the reboot, you’re really missing out.” Colin grinned broadly, pleased with himself. The 2009 Star Trek movie was filled with eye-candy and homoeroticism, true, but it did had some interesting threads of plot woven throughout too. He was fairly certain Nischal wouldn’t hate it, though he was hoping that both of his companions would like it. Colin got the disc out and put it in, murmuring under his breath in Klingon “tIv je SoH 'e' vItul.” When Björn spoke of potentially having a dinner and movie night the curly haired blond bounced back over. “That’s a great idea! How about I do the cooking next time?” He looked over at Nischal as he sat back down with the controller, resettling into his chosen space and settling his plate back onto it’s place over his thighs. “If you’re okay with that, I mean.” He wanted this to work, hoped it would all work - Colin wasn’t willing to alienate Nischal if he could help it. That he and Björn were an item again didn’t change anything for him, not where the dark-haired youth was concerned. Nischal had been there first and Colin wouldn’t move in without having consent from both. They could talk through the previews, if they wished, or he’d skip them - it depended on how he read their interest level(s) - and when the movie started he’d settle further with his meal, happy and content with his boy-friend close enough to lean against his leg and his new friend sitting across from him on the couch. Ivynian Agreed! Sorry for the uh, crazy-long delay. iFail. Cooro Cooro - in a Fade-To-Black with the start of the movie?
