With a great deal of trepidation, Mimsy covered her eyes and approached the serpent with the intention of aiding in its murder. It wasn't real. It wasn't real, just like ALICE told her, and if it was not real, that meant that it was irrational. Mathematical logic dictated that it was so, and Wonderland was very mathematical. If something was irrational in Wonderland, it meant that it was rational elsewhere. And she did not want any unfortunate logic from the outside world seeping into this perfect place. There was a flurry of attacks as many others jumped on this snake. Shadowstep thought it was dead now, but he saw it twitching slightly with life. Endangered species? He glanced over at Hulk with a flat look. Not all too amused, his dagger glowed red for the moment before he stabbed straight down into where its brain would have been if it had one. That did the job quite nicely. Much better. Perfection was maintained for just a little longer, but Mimsy found it entirely acceptable to do this one small step at a time.

It was overkill, yes. And Shadowstep knew this all too well. But he didn't care. It was a small release of frustration from being stuck in this game without any extra clues for how they were going to get out.
