Punchy practically pranced into his next fight, his shiny, powerful Jabberwock card and irritating (but oh so useful) new friend at the ready. He had to admit that the rabbit was a passable fighter, and if it got too annoying, there was always the option of eating it.
With all of the noise he was making, it didn't take long at all for one of those pervasive plant creatures to show up, and the boil launched himself at it with glee, slashing at its stem with almost feverish intensity.

For his next trio of cards, Punchy accidentally activated a number of heals that he didn't need. Grumbling to himself, he picked up his hare and threw it at the plant's gaping maw.

He tried to get his card selections back under control, but he was barely able to attack, his heals activating wildly.

Okay, now this had become ridiculous. Punchy continued to obsessively heal himself, watching in horror as his familiar hopped up and finished the plant off.
"What?" he said in disbelief. This was not happening to him.
