GS was simply wandering away from another battle, she didn't want to kill anything else. Nothing. She just wanted to find the tavern and get out of here. But lo and behold yet another snake popped out at her hissing about dessert. On a frown she jumped back and the snake bit, it hurt yes but she was use to it by now. On a shuffle back she healed herself before thinking fast and sending out her mini. "Go March Hare!" Protect me please. Wobbling her lip she watched as the mini attacked then ran back to her.

Burn hadn't explored much of the woods yet. He'd been rather uninterested ever since being chased by the blasted Jabberwock. Yet wander he did at last. Only to find himself watching a tiny Dormouse go up against a rather massive snake. Didn't take much effort for him to bolt in, taking a swing for the creature's massive body with claws and fist--the snake in turn trying to take a bite out of him.
Least he managed to back up enough to throw a quick glance towards the ghoul. "Not hurt, are you?" Weren't the dormice healers? What was she doing up against this brute?

When the gryphon charged in she was all smiles, very pleased to see someone so helpful. He was big and strong judging by the way he tackled the beast head on, or stupid but she could hope for the former. "I-i'm ok.." she answered softly with a nod of head. Catching movement from the corner of her eye she quickly pulled the long whip that was bound around her free and smacked it at the beat, hitting it for a few damage before backing up again.
"Y-you..are you ok though?" She asked hesitantly not wanting to offend before releasing a healing spell to help him out just in case.

If she was safe, then he'd done half his required job then. Least for the time being. "Try and keep distance. Dinnae need you ending in the snake's stomach." Though his expression remained mostly passive as he glanced her way, there might have been a faint upward tick of one corner of his mouth. Which for him, was a rather marvelous display of joking nature. He had to focus though, turning his attention back to the snake in time for it to lunge at him in turn. Burn managed to grapple with it, and though it slashed at him well enough with its tail, he managed to shove it back with a hard fist and claws to its face. Enough to draw back and gain a little distance from the creature. It continued to move though, lash and writhe... Seeing the direction it was moving, he moved to quickly get between the dormouse and the snake, trying to block her from its attack. He was bigger. He was likely stronger. The hits could come at him, but not her.

A blush dusted her cheeks and she nodded gently to the statement. She didn't want to be there that was for sure so she would fall back a bit. If it helped, moving back a few steps she was pleased when the boil moved to shield her.
Figuring it best to hang back like asked she sent a spell of healing out to cover him, "here you-u go!" It wasn't much but it was all she could do.

Burn wasn't remotely unappreciative to the healings she was offering. Indeed, he was bound to need them, keeping himself planted solid between her and the beast. It struck out, and he managed to catch the snake's maw somewhat as they again grappled and tried to throw one another. Though he got caught by one of its fangs, he landed a blow to the thing's skull before knocking it backwards. It's tail lashed towards the ghoul and he took that blow as well. It was slow going, but he'd like to think there was gradual progress against the snake.

Wow. Was all she could think as she watched the boil fighting. He was impressive, enough that her cheeks went slightly pink at the sight of him battling. When he defended her, GS gasped in awe before finally noticing she wasn't being helpful at all. "Ah-h.." Stupid stupid. Scolding herself she pulled her whip out and struck the snake before healing herself in a panic.

He'd been doing well trying to defend her. Till the blasted snake managed to coil it's tail around one of his legs and, before he managed to get it off, pull his leg right out from under him. Burn let out a grunt when he hit the ground, dazed for a small moment before he managed to land a sucker punch to the incoming snake's head. Least it seemed to be a bit dazed for the moment as well.

"Oh no ! A-are you ok!" As the other hit the ground she rushed in and quickly slapped her whip at the snake. Hitting it and landing the killing blow all in one. She didn't have time to feel guilty like last time though since her party member had fallen. Keeled to his side she smiled slightly and waited for a response.

"Aye, I'm fine," he told her simply, his accent thickening in his grit towards having been taken down like that. To her though, he offered a critical eye, giving her a once-over as he took notice that she'd killed the beast. "You're stronger than you look, lass." Though his expression was largely neutral, there was a note of approval in his voice. Feeling something under his palm, he looked to see what it was, amused to find a card stuck to his palm. Taking the card off it, he offered his hand to the ghoul. "Was a good battle. Enjoyed it, thank you."
She looked a bit bashful under the praise? Then shook her head and muttered softly, "not really..but-t thank you." Smiling she laughed when the card was revealed. Glancing over to a few exp shards she bit her lip. Would it be ok to take them? She did earn a few..
Glancing to the hand she smiled wider and pushed her smaller one into it for a shake, hoping that's what he wanted. Considering there was no way she could pull him up. After the shake she rose up and trotted to collect a few shards. "Thank you too again-n...I enjoyed it as we-well.." On a wave she parted from him.
