Envy was a actually a fan of snakes but since this one was trying to kill her it really left her no choice in the matter. Pouncing toward the oversized worm she swung her whip twice, first to gets it's attention and second to let it know who's boss. "Take that and like it!" She taunted, throwing herself a quick heal as she landed on her feet.
"Your turn now Partridge, I got your back!"

Yeah. Snakes weren't his thing. He liked Envy's scales, but she was the exception. Rushing in towards the large serpent, he was startled by just how quick it was, unable to defend himself in time before the blow came by its tail. Drawing a sword from his hat though, he returned the favor. "Bugger's fast! Man..." He'd keep that in mind next time.

Lean and lengthy, Partridge_in_a_Skulltree is a young man with blue-white hair shaved along the right side of his head, with the rest of his hair left to flop to the left. Blue-rimmed glasses sit at the end of his nose, the same pale blue as his eyes. A Mad Hatter to the end, his trademark coat and hat are both a dark blue. Underneath can be seen a tight white shirt, loose black pants, and crisscrossing brown belts.
Failing to dodge another blow from the snake she attempted another crack of the whip, but was forced to concur with Partridge, "Dang you're right he is fast" as it slithered away unscathed.
Her services were clearly better served in aiding at the moment. She tossed a quick heal to her partner and scurried behind him to both stay out his way and provide a bit of defense from the slippery serpent.

He'd at least been more prepared this time for the onslaught of the snake, plucking a shield from his hat and using that against the creature's attack. That, along with the heal from Envy, had him right back to full strength. Giving a whoop of glee, he pulled yet another sword from his hat, this time diving in towards the snake to begin a whole new wave of hacking and slashing. Not, of course, without a quick heal towards Envy. Heal for a heal after all~ His just weren't.... uh. As good.

Her defense strategy paid off, limiting the damage taken by the snakes bites. Dang though, this thing was taking forever to die. She swung the whip in anticipation of where the snake would weave next but couldn't time the attacks properly, just grazing its tail a few times for little damage.
Flinging a heal spell toward Partridge she hoped he'd have better luck than her whittling down the mobs HP.

If Envy thought for a moment Partridge was going to pull an epic win out of his hat..... welp. The exact opposite happened. Though her heal had certainly been appreciated, as he'd pulled his sword from the hat to strike again...

The snake kinda tripped him up. With it's tail. Partridge went down on the ground after barely touching it, and the Mad Hatter got thwaked a good bit for his efforts. Oops.

Swooping in for a last ditch attempt at combat the healer was shocked to find both of her whip strikes actually landed! "Ooh yeah take that!" she grinned, as the snake hissed and coiled up into a tiny ball, perishing. Now all that was left to do was raid the spoils, her favorite part~

Picking himself up, the Mad Hatter laughed. "You're officially the more badass fighter than I am," he grinned to Envy, letting out an impressed whistle. "Healer and DPS. Man. So much for beginner's misfortune." If anything, he was becoming the unfortunate one. Leaning down to where the snake was vanishing, he managed to scoop up a good chunk of experience points. Cool! Looking back to Envy, waiting for her to grab her share, he motioned onward to the forest. "See what else is out there?"
Her face crinkled into a shy smile at the Hatters compliment, proud but not quite willing to accept it yet, "Don't be silly! Its all the luck of the cards!" She giggled, kneeling down to nab some loot for her troubles. She managed to pick up a chuck of EXP she'd been hoping to find. Yay!
Two wins was nice but looking at her current level in her pocket card still made her nervous. "You bet!" She replied to the Hatter's invitation. "We can only get better from here"
