Mercurial turned quickly to face the sound of gnashing teeth, but the sight of the small plant made her laugh. "A little small to be trying to eat people, don't you think?"
Overconfidence was a mistake, as it turned out. Small as the plant was, it still had quite a bite.
Favoring her bitten leg as she hobbled a safer distance away, the Hatter girl fished around in her hat for... four tiny teacups? It would do.
