Riding on the high from her recent success in the Twisted Roots dungeon, Ch33p-Ch33p and her little March Hare companion went straight back into the fray. When she came across another Small Eating Plant, Ch33p went after it. Thanks, no doubt, to the element of surprise Ch33p managed to land a blow while her pet went at it from another angle.

Ch33p was stealing herself for another blow from the creature when a Caterpillar jumped out of nowhere to defend her from it! The little dormouse meeped in surprise and jumped back, unprepared for this new arrival.

“H-h-hi!” She finally managed to squeak out. “Thank you!”

When she realized that her new companion had been hurt in the process of helping her she couldn’t help the blush the faint colour that came to her dark cheeks. She reached out to cast a quick heal on him. “Oh! I’m sorry, let me help you!”

Ch33p was similarly distracted and was barely able to keep up with her own wounds. While she dodged out of the way of another attack she took the opportunity to look over at her apparent partner, Tufffluff (according to the name hovering over his head). “Um, I’m Ch33p, nice to meet you!”

Hearing somebody else say her name she had to wonder if her choice of alias was at all influenced by the newly hatched little siblings that, last she had seen them before she went to sleep, had been playing nearby her nest.

“Aki?” Ch33p was confused for a moment before she realized. “Ooooh, well my real name is Pipelle.”

She took advantage of the creature’s distracted state and launched herself towards it, leaping nimbly around Aki’s defence to land a series of sharp blows. Ch33p glowed with pride as the attacks landed, more amazed that she was able to do it this time than she was the last.

“Thank you!” She said, both to the compliments and to his help fending off the attack. “I like your name too! It’s cute.”

Slipping around his defences again she darted out to make another blow, and was shocked when it landed and the creature’s HP counter tipped to zero. She watched as the monster crumpled, her eyes wide and her hands coming up to hide her mouth.

“Eeeeeeh!” She gave an excited little squeal and jumped. “I can’t believe I did that!”

Ch33p turned to Fluff/Aki and clapped her hands together. “We were so cool!”

“Nuh-uh. You can get them from fighting monsters too. You can even go into these dungeon things where you get to fight a whole bunch of them together. Sometimes you get other things too, like last time I got this cool new ability.” She pulled out her interface card and fished around until she brought up the stats for Pierce and then held it out to show him, noticing as she did that the EXP bar had gone up slightly. Smiling brightly Ch33p-Ch33p shook her head vigorously. “No way! I’ve never been able to do that before. It had to be because you were here.”

“I can heal really well, so it’s okay!” Ch33p reassured her new friend. Her face brightened up as she got an idea. “If you wanted we could go find a couple more people and do one right now. Or there are lots of monsters around here to fight!”

In a rather uncharacteristic show of social grace, she realized that she might be being a bit forward and brought herself to heal slightly. Embarrassed, she started scratching at the digital dirt discreetly with her foot as she might have with her talon. “Or not. You know, if you had something else you wanted to do… or something. It's really fun though.”
