 Ah, the nigh sky there was nothing more pleasant then it. The darkness of the forest and the silence were just so comforting for Clary. She enjoyed walking alone the abandoned woods at night with only the moon’s light guiding her way. She feared little not even death itself scared her as she wandered through the deep woods. Once she came across a clearing she stopped in her tracks and looked around the surrounding area.
She wasn’t looking for anything in particular tonight. That was until she stumbled upon a dying animal and she approached it slowly looking down upon it. The animal was a tiny little mouse and it looked like something had attacked it earlier but it manage to escape. However the wound was bleeding out fast and it was now lying helplessly. The mare wanted to watch the animal go before any predators got to it so she stood by it.
A small smile crossed her lips as she watched it take its last breath and lowered her head in a silent prayer before turning away from it. She was glad she managed to find it before anything else did and was able to let it die more peacefully allowing the spirit to leave unscathed. The dark mare sighed and closed her eyes briefly enjoying the tranquility of the night.

 The light of the moon didn't reach him as Uriel made his way through the thick woodlands. His bright, white coat giving off the slightly glow, his hoof falls were soft, almost none existent on the new cushion of the spring foliage peeking through the earth. Though spring was on it's way though, the slightest chill still remained as the sun fell. In the summer months, that drop in temperature would be pleasant, but now? It was cool enough to make his ears uncomfortable.
Uriel had always been more of a night stallion, like most of his family members. Preferring the quiet sounds of the night, rather than the brilliance of the day. Though, it probably had more to do with patrolling at night rather than anything else. Also, one seemed to meet the most interesting characters at night, especially during full moons. Like the one trying to peek through the trees.
As the woods thinned out, opening out into a clearing he spotted an equine figure in the distance. A smaller figure that seemed to be waiting for something. Just standing there. Curiosity got the better of him, and he crept forward, watching his hoof falls to be sure not to startle whoever this dark figure was.

The silence on which she enjoyed most was soon to be disrupted. Her eyes opened a little and she glared out in to the darkness. She turned away from the dead creature and looked towards the direction on which she felt the presence of something heading her way. Clary just stood eerily still out in the open waiting for whatever it was to show up. A small delight ran through her thinking it might be possibly something quite dreadful and she might have a game of chase with it.
Her eyes twitched every now and then as her eyes just stared hard in the distance. The moon’s light disappearing briefly behind a passing cloud making everything much darker. Her smile never leaving her and her eyes remaining focused with interest.
“What might we have here?” she quietly spoke underneath her breath.

As Uriel crept closer to the figure, he could see the willowy structure of a female, one almost as dark as her surroundings. Her head bent toward something in front of her. But what? There didn't appear to be anything moving.
Still, he moved forward, taking slow but steady steps in her direction, then stopped as he saw the figure pivot in his direction, the glimmer of white shinning where he would guess her teeth would be. Was he seeing this right? Was she really.. smiling? But why?
Nights like this always put him on guard. Something about the eerily quiet and the moon full and shinning above him. It seemed to draw out all the wrong soquili. But as far as he knew, it was only this female. So.. what could she be smiling at? His curiosity, which was usually reigned in tightly, slipped. And he found himself moving toward her again. Stopping only when he could see the streaks of dark green on her coat that made her blend in almost seamlessly with the landscape.
"What do you.. have there?" Uriel found himself asking cautiously.

Her eyes snapped up at him and a light breeze blew gently pass them. Some of her mane covered one eye giving the creepy atmosphere “Why don’t you look for yourself?” her voice was quiet almost like a whisper. She gestured towards the dead mouse before giving a light smile “I was guarding it while the soul passed.”
This stallion seemed interesting. Usually at night only the wicked would roam. She had quite fun in the past trying avoid them. However, this stallion did not look to be wicked? He did not seem to be aggressive and foul like the rest. She had a feeling he was probably wondering the same thing about her.
She blinked her eyes “What brings someone like you out during the night? Do you have no fear of those wicked soquili?” she cocked her head to the right with curiosity.
It’s been awhile since she last talked to someone. She probably should make a good impression, hopefully she does not creep him out. That was usually the outcome from any encounter with a normie as she’d call them.....

Uriel frowned slightly at her words.
What was he doing here? What a silly question to ask. Shouldn't a mare like herself be tucked within the safety of her herd?
Finally, he took his eyes from her only to peer over at the grass. Seeing nothing at first, he took a couple tentative steps towards her, trying to get a better look at what she was "protecting". A small clump of grey fur stuck out against the dark foliage and lifted his gaze back up to her eyes. His frown only deepening with concern.
"It's a very honorable thing you do, Miss. But... do you not fear for your own safety at this hour?" Because nights like this, weren't usually this quiet. "Shall I with with you?" He was no stranger to those that could see and speak to spirits, so this didn't concern him in the least. He found the protectors of those souls very noble and necessary. He, himself would wish to be protected in the end if anything were to happen to him.
But still, leaving her here alone just didn't sit well with him. Even if she was experienced at this kind of thing. "At least until he's at rest." Or a little longer. He had to admit, he was a it curious about how this mare got into the habit of helping others pass.

"I do not fear anything." she bluntly put it with a smile so unusual for such a situation. She was never one to understand emotions and the like, she honestly preferred the company of spectral sort. She looked back down at the creature which passed. It's pain was no more. To her that was all that mattered, she feared not for her life in doing things that made a difference. She looked to him again "I do not fear death." she simply welcomed it.
It was a fate that none could escape. She was at peace knowing one day she would meet death. Clary was known by others for being emotionless or incapable of normal social behaviors. She didn't mind it though. She liked being different.
A sudden loud clamor and the sky sparked with light she tilt her head a bit allowing some of her massive greenish hair to slide down over her one shoulder. She looked to him with one eye covered by her massive bangs "It seems a storm approaches." her voice was low and one toned. She started to walk past him.
Oblivious by his request to remain by her side. As she walked she looked back as the rain soon began to fall. She tilt her head curiously at him "Do you wish to escort me to shelter?" she asked him.

Uriel looked her over again with curiosity in his gaze. She certainly didn't seemed scared, but it was in his nature to be protective of those that needed it, and she definitely seemed like one that would need it, if only for the time being. "As you shouldn't. We'll all perish one day. But, there are worse things than death, Miss. And I wouldn't want any of those things happening to you." And it was true. He valued all life and respected death.
As the sky lite up from the appending storm, he got his first real glimpse of her and his mouth quirked into a sideways grin. She was dark and had a mysterious lure that not many had. "Yes, Miss. There's a place just up beyond these trees. But, you're not afraid of a little rain, are you?" He paused, his lips thinning slightly at his words. He shouldn't have said that. But it seemed to just slip out without warning. "I.. " Maybe she'd overlook it he teasing, he thought hopefully. It was then that the rain pounded down on them, flattening his poofy mane. Which, he always hated. It meant his bangs blocked his eyes and left him somewhat blind. He move quickly, making his way towards the cave that would provide them shelter and a little protection anyway.
