Gwen released a slow breathe as she walked into what Milo had called 'The Cove'. The room was small, and dark. It almost reminded her of those damp and dank rooms one would find in a spooky movie. Almost. She blinked at the runs against the walls, looking at each one carefully. Each had a different type of weapon pictured on it, along with various runes on them.
< Jeez, you only took forever. >
Gwen let out a rather high pitched squeak, one she would later say never happened if anyone asked. The sudden voice had her spinning around to see if someone was behind her, and she blinked rather stupidly at the empty space behind her. "Uhm.... Hello?" She called tentatively, wondering if it were Peyton or Milo coming back to play some 'Welcome to the fold' prank on her. "Guys?"
< Nope, not them. Try again. >
The young girl paused. It sounded like the voice was coming from inside her head.. Peyton had said something about that hadn't she? "Okay then... I'm hearing a voice.. But I'm not going crazy." She just had to keep telling herself that.. Yep
< Whatever helps you sleep at night Princess. >
Gwen's face scrunched up at the pet name. "I am not a Princess!" She squeaked, flushing slightly when she heard the tell tale 'Uh huh, suuuure you're not' eventually came. "Well I'm sooooo sorry to have wasted your time!" ...Not like whatever it was had anywhere to be from the sounds of what Peyton and Milo had told her. Weapons couldn't move right? ...Right? "Where are you! Why can't I see you?"
< You can't see me because you haven't found me. You're not looking hard enough. > Came a flat, rather bored tone which had Gwen rolling her eyes. She half debated purposely walking around and not really looking at all, but then the voice spoke up again.
< The tablets. Look harder. Keep checking, I'm not going to do this for you. You'll fine me.. You can do this. >
This time, there was no sarcastic bite to it, and it almost sound like whoever it was was encouraging her. Prodding her forward to find whatever it was she was suppose to find. Gwen stepped closer to the tablets, inspecting each one carefully and only moving on when either she was sure it wasn't the one she needed, or the voice ushered her along. There were so many, she had to make sure she looked over each one carefully lest she accidentally missed one. It wasn't until she reached one that had a shield on it, that she finally reached out and ran her fingers over the tablet slab. Curling her fingers around it and tugging, the tablet came off with relative ease. Then there was suddenly what felt like a weight and a small pressure hanging off her arm, and she swore she heard the voice sigh, as if to almost say 'finally'. Blinking, she held out her arm to see a shield. "A shield?" She questioned with a curious brow.
< Do you have a problem with that princess? >
"Ugh! I told you, I'm not a princess! And no. I don't." While it may be considered a defensive item to most, Gwen knew that anything could be considered a weapon. Even something like a shield. "So... Mister Shield... Looks like you're my weapon. And why are you a lizard..." She deadpanned.
< Calathair. My name is Calat- Dragon! Draaaaaagon! I'm not a lizard. I don't do that tongue thing. Just shut up and tell me your name Princess...>
Gwen giggled to herself, despite the use of the nickname again. "Alright then Mr. Dragon.. Calathair. My name is Gwen Cervantes. It's a pleasure to meet you."
