He was hunting against. Late at night, fully in disguise. Black cloak. A capelet that covered the upper half of his body. Black pants that went down over his booths. He took all measures to hide his uniform. Hood up. White mask on. It was the energy signature he could not hide.

For that, he had to overcome a major obstacle just by approaching someone without them running for the hills or fighting back by reflex. It was good to be powerful - until you had to appear friendly.

He felt the Order signature further off with a blip of chaos. Not an officer. That was clear. As he got nearer, he saw it was a youma who, in a tangle of vines, was gripped tight and then destroyed. It's body turned to dust among the plants and crumbled.

Cringing, WP, Mr. Man in disguise, debated if he should turn around.

He hated this senshi. He hated him ALMOST as much as a weak member of the DMC. However, he hated the DMC much more, and this mission was above what he had with Thraen. Despite reminding himself of his purpose, it was hard not envision taking Thraen's smug face and smashing it into a wall. The fact the senshi was even alive and moving pissed him off to no degree.

I wish lava would rain from the sky and melt his face off. I wish rats would come from this alleyway and chew his legs off. I wish he got a really bad cold that made him so stuffy that he suffocated. I hope some kid puts gum in his stupid hair.

He reluctantly stepped out of the alleyway into the open light of a streetlight.

He is just so happy to see you alive and well, Thraen. Just all the nicest thoughts.

It was, perhaps, still too early to be transformed. To be out in the city and projecting aura and danger. It was dangerous with what remained of his wounds, even life-threatening if a blow landed to the right place.

It was too much to swallow to think of having the power to act and not do even a minimum to try to save lives.

He felt the aura nearing, but he could no more leave a job unfinished than he could not power up. He had the Youma at mercy, it had to be ended. That task let the aura, unmistakably Negaverse and a General, near enough to make the back of his neck crawl. He looked around from the ashes of his erstwhile foe into the streets and on top of the nearest buildings. It is only one. I'm not set upon yet.

There-

A cloaked, masked figure stepping out. It was an innocuous approach, either supremely self confident or seeking neutrality. The mask was an odd touch- was it usual to this one's uniform?

"Declare yourself, General."

He wanted to scoff at having the senshi tell him what to do, but instead, once again, reminded himself that he was here with a purpose.

He kept his hands up and stopped walking closer. Standing where he was with his hands up, he looked at the now dead youma, or at least where it was, and then back at him. "General? Are you so sure?"

Lowering his hands but still keeping them in front of him to be visible, he took a breath. A breath because he needed to remain calm and it was just very easy not to be when he was in front of Thraen. He hated this senshi more than most. Possibly more than Castor, which was a old, ancient anger from a missing eye. One so long ago that it was almost numb.

"I go by WP, and I come unarmed and unwilling to fight."

"We can all sense each other's auras and power levels. There might be a cat near, or a device altering yours." He offered, but he was unconvinced. The letters given in place of a name felt equal parts unusual and pointless. What was 'WP' even supposed to stand for?

PJ & TJ were common enough names that had been derived of just letters. It was also fair to consider it as similar in origin to the S of Ulysses S. Grant or Harry Truman's non-name-initial. Or it was just a pseudonym chosen entirely for anonymity. The mental exercise was not lengthy nor engrossing, and that conclusion reached in seconds. "Come no closer."

Thraen shifted, his stance balanced for action- flight or fight still undetermined. "Your weapon is absent, but your hands are dangerous enough on their own. "

"What do you want? You have my attention."

Even without a weapon, Thraen did not lax in his suspicions. Smart boy. Part of Wolframite hoped he had helped in making him more paranoid, but even during their first fight, they had been rather aggressive and Thraen surprisingly well trained. It was one of the reasons why Wolframite was even tolerating asking. If he could best him even once by setting a trap, he would be useful against the DMC.

As awful as it was to admit mentally, Thraen had some balls and could match Wolframite when the senshi had a good day.

To help his suspicions just a little bit, WP stopped and then slowly sat down. It was a big tactical error in a fight to be low to the ground and sitting. It meant you had to get up, and your head was level with any good kick.

"Okay." He said, acknowledging he was not going any further and using the most calm voice he could muster - a feat in itself considering how much he was gritting his teeth behind his mask.

"I want to know how you feel about the DMC." He said, wanting to gauge if the senshi had any good relationships with the group. If he did, it was just all the more reason Wolframite felt justified in trying to kill him again. If not, well, unfortunately, he had to see if he could convince him to join his party of merry magical men.

The Super Senshi of Gardens relaxed only marginally when the other sat, scanning the area around them for secondary ambush before putting his good hand on his hip. The other, still to be mending, he left brushing his thigh in extension.

"Thieves and deceivers, equally pregnant with the leeching of chaos. Enemies. They will be reformed, shackled or buried. Most likely the latter most of those options."

That was a good thing to hear, and he was glad that Thraen's hatered for Chaos extended to all fractions.

"That's good to hear. Then I hope you would be interested in what I'm about to say next."

A pause as he collected his nerves and unwillingness to work with Thraen and to remind him of this great task. To all that he was risking. To all that was going against the loyalties to the Negaverse.

Eyes parting open, he looked up, serious (though it was hard to convey with a mask on).

"I want you." He said, and then suddenly realized that was VERY BADLY PHRASED! "I mean-" He quickly followed. "I want you on my side. Not the sides you know. A new side, just for a little while. A temporary truce among fractions to destroy another. The DMC has long since overstayed their welcome on this planet, and should have never existed. I am here at great risk to all that I am to assemble those who would want to stomp the DMC down to dust and rid them from existence. I will have anyone on my side who would be willing to allow me on theirs to complete this task. To destroy the DMC, together, once and for all."

He laced his hands, and leaned his head down to look up at the senshi from where he sat. "What do you say?"

"How much do you hate the DMC?"

Thraen arched an eyebrow, looking at the sitting figure for a moment before offering any comment at all. "I appreciate..... the redaction. "
I don't even. No. Just no.

"The root of rue lies in the lost assets soiled by chaos. Yet falsehood now doth flow, and few my faith in any hands beyond my own. Tell me...untried cloak and cloud of 'joy'...why should I trust you?"
"I do not pretend myself so important to be the subject of an sought ambush, yet I can neither erase the possibility. Is there word or assurance you can offer that prove you aren't just trying to lay a trap for whatever poor sots follow your pied piping? "

The sitting now was one thing, and a trick may take some time and effort to lay that was paid off well in the springing. Ultimately, he didn't expect any proof to be able to be offered- an alliance of enemies against a common foe between them was always tenuous. Always on faith. "How many do you have to your banner?"

And for what reason could chaos have to kill chaos? The word itself implies no inherent loyalty to its own- it should, have no loyalty or even sense of self preservation as an idea. Chaos is Chaos. Fool totality. If the Mirror Court were destroyed...is it worth it? How much does it draw from the strength of the Negaverse for chaos to be divided between them? Is it worse to have them both, or to kill one and the other gain that freedom? Does it weigh more or less in the favor of our meager efforts to have this second front removed at the threat of the stronger Negaverse? I think it does. Too many chances and too many reasons, crooked tongues to hook the garish, unwary youth.

"I have none. Just my word I won't attack you. Simple trust you won't do the same to me. This is just as much a risk to me as it is to you. You risk whatever may come, and I risk what I am sure might happen if I am ever found out. I am trusting you won't use your magic when my back is turned to kill me just as I am trusting you now not to walk over and strangle me with your vines. I cannot give any more than that. I can just offer a chance. I can just hope you will accept. I can only wish that, together, we can destroy what I have long since dispised for the greater good of all our fractions."

He remained where he was, and though over the ramifications of mentioning how many he had so far. It wasn't that much, but he was still trying. "Four. I have two senshi, a guardian cat, and a Negaverse Officer. They are all willing to help. They are all willing to trust me."

"I would give you their information just yet. I can't let you get them in trouble with their own authorities for associating with me. We will be meeting though, but if that thought scares you, to join in a group in one place, then I cannot blame you. I won't lie to say that we all take our own risks here from this point out. Then again.." He pointed where the youma once was. "...don't you do that enough every day?"
PostPosted: Thu Mar 20, 2014 8:02 pm

Was it more believable, the answer matching the suspicion?

The believability matters little. Do I have the courage to face the risk, and is the risk worth it? Who strikes strongly enough may not have to levy a second blow.

Yes and yes. None of the Dark Mirror have seen my magic. I don't expect word has gotten around.

"A well laid strategy, the right combinations of magic and weapons, and we may not need a large force. Together then. I will join this effort. "

At WP's intimations of his talking to any authorities Thraen guffawed. "I have no such clout or connections. You mistake greatly who or what I am in the so called 'White Moon'. When and where do I meet with this effort to end the Dark Mirror? You have my hand to you aims, for what its worth."

"It is worth a fair bit." He added.

He rose his hands up to show that the senshi should not be startled by his movements and very slowly reached into a pocket. From it, he drew a prepaid phone and held it up for the senshi to take. "It has my number. I have yours. I will call you, and we will assemble to talk about the plan of attack I have in mind. If you still distrust me, you can destroy the phone. If you betray the location of the meeting to anyone else, there will be more than just me to worry about." He warned.

"Welcome aboard."
PostPosted: Thu Mar 20, 2014 9:43 pm

The decision was already made, and like a trellis set to a climbing rose, Thraen did not mince in following the path he'd set himself. He crossed the distance between without hesitation to take the phone. "Already noted, 'WP'. "

"I look forward to hearing from you."

And what other powers are willing to cover play this new game....weighing politic and strategy for treaties and the better good? Who else sees threat for what it is? I wonder if the names will come to mean much, or if we all go to graves side by side, unlikely bedmates of a tomb.

Glad to have you on board. UuO

Slowly, WP rose to his feet, dusted off his pants, and nodded. "The same. I am interested in seeing this new side of you." As opposed to being on the receiving end of his traps.

He took two steps back, still facing Thraen, and then turned and started to walk off. "Have your phone on you. I will be calling soon." He called out, his voice sounding loud in the stillness of the night, before he kicked off and leaped up to a nearby roof and then another before vanishing from his line of sight.

While he had mixed feeling of having Thraen on board, he knew that having one of his strong enemies as an asset would be the most beneficial for him now. He could punch a pillow and pout about it later.
