Vil-lon Castle

The land we now live in is filled with a species called, Vampyres. They have their own civilization. Multiple clans, many families. But there was one that started it all. Ulrik, the first Vampyre to be created. He made sure everyone new his story, in time. Once he made the first five families of Vil-lon, he shared how he became a Vampyre and how his brother, Markus, became a Vampyre. It was a tragic time for the brothers. They lost their family and their human lives, but it did not stop them from living. The two created their own family and their own people. Though, now, his brother lives in Daeru and Ulrik stayed in Vil-lon to continue the court.

Present day Vil-lon, Ulrik is married to a beautiful woman named Siena. So kind and loving. She was the part of the third family that had become Vampyres. They have quite a history together and he loved her deeply. Ulrik had been walking that morning around the castle grounds. He always found himself in the Gardens of Vil-lon. It was such a beautiful place and it had a lot of history. Sometimes, too much history for his own good. But he was making his way back to the castle. It was a bright and sunny day. Not a cloud in the sky. A gentle breeze passed through the gardens, he could hear the leaves rustling and branches moving. He could smell the scent of roses and water from the fountain. It had a nice crisp smell. The only thing going on now, was the thoughts running through his brain. . .
"I hope the world stays in peace. . ."
He whispered to a rose bush. Then touched the crimson petals softly, being careful not to damage the petals. Then he sat upon the soft green grass in front of the rose bush. A lot of memories flooded his mind, he sat there quietly for a long time. Then spoke:
"I guess time can only tell."

Life in Vil-lon had been peaceful for quite sometime, to the Vampyres around, they were grateful for that. Luckily, Lyemar has been quiet for sometime, it does make them nervous time to time. But they cannot live their lives based on paranoia, some still do, many do not though. One Vampyre in particular did not worry until the time comes, the Original's Advisor, Cassandra Caelum. She was part of the second Vampyre Family to be created. It was her and her brother, Noctis Caelum, the Lead Vampyron Warrior.

They were grateful when Ulrik changed them, Cassandra was ill and Noctis was injured from war. They went through tough times as teenagers and young adults. But that was the past and Cassandra lived for the future. The Vampyre Advisor looked out her quarter's window and could see Ulrik sitting on the ground in the gardens. She knew her dear friend all too well, it was that ungrateful Jessierys he was thinking about. Cassandra decided to go see her friend and speak with him. She opened the doors to her balcony and with a gentle sprint, she leaped off. She landed so gently upon the ground, straightening back up after landing, she made her way over to Ulrik. Standing behind him, she placed a hand upon her friends shoulder when she heard him say:
"I guess time can only tell."

"Ulrik, dear, you cannot live your life thinking about that awful wench. Things happen for a reason, if she wants to live her life around revenge then let her. But you. . .Ulrik, you have a wonderful life here. You have friends that care, people that adore you, and a wife that loves you deeply. Though, I am sure you need to tell Siena about Jessierys soon, she knows there is history, but she does not know of the love you two once shared. I know Siena, she will not be happy. But, the woman loves you and will understand. They call it history for a reason."

Cassandra smiled down at her friend and sat next to him in front of the rose bush. The garden's were cared for by their beloved Lady Siena. She loved the garden's even when she was but a child. Siena spent a lot of her time in the garden's when she first arrived to Vil-lon when Ulrik saved her. Though, Cassandra had to admit, she's glad that Ulrik had chosen Siena over Jessierys. There was always something about that woman that Cassandra did not always like. . .

As the Original stared down at the crimson flower, a hand touched his shoulder. It made him jump, but a voice followed the touch. It was his Advisor and Best Friend, Cassandra. Ulrik listened to his dear friend as she spoke her mind, of what she knew was his true thoughts. Cassandra was right, he needed to stop thinking of Jessierys. He left her, not intentionally, but his heart fell to another. It was a mistake, but a blessing all in one. Though, time to time, he wondered what life could have been with Jessierys at his side instead of Siena. But the thought was so painful and yet, blissful.

"Cassandra, my dear friend. I thank you for your words of wisdom. Sometimes I just wonder what life could have been with Jessierys. She was my first love, or thought was my first love. Jessierys was the one that came into my life and did not care of what I was, it was a true blessing. But, none the less, you are right. As always. I must tell Siena about the love Jessierys and I had. My wife will not be happy of the subject, but she must know. She is the only one out of the five families that does not know of my history with the Evil Queen. . . I sure do hope Siena does not get too angry with me. . ."

Ulrik would not know what to do if his beloved wife became angry with him about Jessierys. It wasn't like he was still with her, he hasn't spoken to her in years. So she is irrelevant to the love he now has for Siena. She was his his treasure, since the day he saved young Siena. Ulrik felt bad for leaving her behind all those years. But she came to understand, so maybe the topic about Jessierys will not be so bad either. . .He reached up and placed his hand on top of Cassandra's hand, which laid upon his shoulder.

"You are a good friend, Cassandra, since day one you have been by my side to help me through the battles with myself. I thank you dearly."

Kael walked through the castle he was last in when his family was given the land of nai-rah and he became lord. Humans and vampyre alike would see him and how slightly as he would raise his hand and smile. He slowly walked through the corridors and hallways unperturbed knowing exactly where that old geezer Ulrik was thanks to the blood running through him. It was a gift only those who are directly descended from the original himself including the lords and baroness' whom he each turned and gave them each their respective lands. When he arrived at the spot Ulrik was he turned to see him and another vampyre he hadn't seen in sometime "well if it isn't Cassandra AND Ulrik today must be my lucky day" he said smirking as he bowed deeply I respect to the vampyre that May as well be his father.

As the Original spoke his thoughts to her, she sighed. Cassandra knew his frustration, she had a problem with her two men. Alexander, her husband, and Dakota, her Human Consort. During that time, her two men fought her her attention. Actually Alexander nearly killed Dakota over it. But that was when they discovered that there were such things as human consorts. Unfortunately, in Ulrik's case, it would not help him. Unless he imprinted with one and the other remained as an un-imprinted lover. Cassandra knew all too well that would not happen in a million life times.

"Ulrik, I will always be here to help you. But remember, I cannot solve your problems."

She laughed at her friend as he pondered his thoughts. Ulrik worried too much, she has rarely ever seen him relax. Well, except when his dear wife was around. Siena had that effect on him. Then all of a sudden, Cassandra sensed a familiar presence. Before she could even say the name of their visitor, the visitor spoke:

"Well if it isn't Cassandra AND Ulrik, today must be my lucky day."

The Advisor stood up from her seat upon the ground and faced the Lord of Nai-rah. Cassandra looked down at Ulrik and sighed softly. There day of no worries has left the train station. Her eyes went from joyful to sadness. But she stood there, one hand resting on her hip.

"Lord Kael, what brings you to Vil-lon? Everything okay in your home land?"

The Advisor's head was ticking with many scenarios and possibilities. Cassandra was a brilliant woman, she also had her complications with relationships just like him. So that was one of the reasons why she was his best friend. Ulrik was still sitting on the ground, but when she spoke again he looked at her and smiled. His smile followed a chuckle.

"I never asked you to solve my problems."

His statement was followed by another chuckle. Then suddenly, he felt a familiar presence and the way that Cassandra looked she felt it too. But who could be visiting the castle now? Things have been quiet, has something come up? Then a voice was heard behind them.

"Well if it isn't Cassandra AND Ulrik, today must be my lucky day."

Ulrik knew that voice, it was Lord Kael of Nai-rah. He watched Cassandra stand up and turned to Kael. As so did he. The Original stood up to face Nai-rah's Lord. He wondered what brough Kael to the Vil-lon castle. Ulrik hoped things were okay, the Original was not too keen about any stress right now. Though, before he could say anything his Advisor spoke up.

"Lord Kael, what brings you to Vil-lon? Everything okay in your home land?"

(sorry for the delay I was having computer problems)

Siena sighs as she walks back from the town helping a woman give birth to her first child. She stops a bit at her family graves. She touches them"I miss you all so much.Ulrik and I got married but I have a feeling he is keeping something from me.Something that has to do with this "evil" queen but I am not sure. Its the only secret I can't seem to find.Even with my spying. He better tell me so papa.."She sigh then turns and walks home. She was in like always her purple outfits. She pushes her dark braid over her shoulder. She walks towards the castle. She wonder what her husband was doing right now.She walks through the gates and smiles as she waves to those she knew. She walks to her favorite place the garden. She paused some when she saw her love, Cassandra and Kael. She walks up slowly"Well look what we have here in my beloved garden"She smiles at them.

Kael smiled and was about to speak when he heard another very familiar voice behind him and there stood siena in her beauty and he bowed deeply saying "My lady Siena radiant as always, your beauty id almost blinding" Kael said smiling. Kael then turned back to Ulrik and said "As of late many people from my land have disappeared without a trace, I myself have gone to some of the scenes and...they are quite gruesome, there is blood all over the place as if there was quite a struggle but no bodies to be found" he said taking a deep breath and whispering it so only those in the garden could hear. "I believe the Lymarians are behind the attack, it happens to be that at one of the scenes i found this" he said rummaging into his pocket and pulling out a very obvious crest of the lymarians.

Though before anyone else could say anything, Siena, the Lady of Vil-lon approached them in the castle's gardens. Cassandra gave a slight bow to the Lady. There was something off about Siena, but Cassandra could not figure out what it could be. . .It made the Advisor a little worried. . .

"Welcome home, Lady Siena."

Then her attention went back to Kael, he began to explain the gruesome attacks on his people. She sighed softly and looked to Ulrik with sad eyes. Oh how she hated to hear of their people going missing or worse. . .being killed. It made the Advisor very sad. When Kael pulled the Lyemar pendant out of his pocket she stepped forward and took it out of his hand, to study it. She turned it over in each hand and stared down at the small trinket . .

"This is very strange, Ulrik. The Lyemarians have been quiet for so long, why are they all of a sudden making trouble?"

Cassandra looked up at Ulrik, her eyes were not just sad they were filled with worry and a little bit of anger. Which was not like her to be, she was never angry. Worried? Sad? Yes. But Angry? Never. Honestly, she had no idea what they were going to do next. This was something they had to do handle carefully, with a lot of caution.

Seina listens" Kael I know those words are said in kindness for I know someone else holds more beauty for you than I"She smiles then sighs as she listens to what both had to say. She looks at her husband then tilts her head"Maybe they are planning a strike against us all? Maybe something triggered this? Someone who can get the Lyemarians to strike so?"She moves to sits down by her favorite flowers which were her purple roses. She strokes a petal. She hasn't drunken any blood in a while but that was because of the stress she was feeling. She didn't like her husband hiding things from her. Then again she keep lots from him but those she keeps were nothing that could help.If she found out anything. She would leave a message for the other spies to give to Ulrik. She closed her eyes. She felt like a bad storm was coming their way.

Ulrik had been listening to everyone speak around him, when his beloved wife had walked up to them and spoke:

"Well look what we have here, in my beloved garden."

He smiled at the sight of his wife, though sadness overcame him due to his previous thoughts. Hiding it well, he stepped closer to her and kissed her lips softly. "Welcome home, my love." Then he turned to look at Cassandra and Kael while he held Siena to him. He watched as Kael presented a Lyemarian crest and Cassandra taking it from him to study the trinket. That was when his advisor spoke to him.

"This is very strange, Ulrik. The Lyemarians have been quiet for so long, why are they all of a sudden making trouble?"

Ulrik saw the anger that had filled his friends eyes and that was not like her. This woman never became angry, never had been angry until that very day. All the Original could do was sigh...

"I think I have an idea, but I am not one-hundred percent sure. But this must be taken with caution Kael, we can not go barging into their territory. I am sure they have had many years of training with their forces. They could probably kill you, and quickly. So we must. . ."

He was cut off when a shadow flew over head, looking up he saw a bird. But it was no ordinary bird. It was a snow owl, Gabriel's snow owl, Lana. Then he noticed the letter attached to the birds leg. Lana had landed on the ground next to him. Ulrik let go of his wife and reached down to untie the letter from the Owl's leg. It was attached with an emerald green ribbon, one Gabriel had always used. "Looks like Gabriel had gotten word of the crimes..." Ulrik opened the letter and read it:

"Ulrik, our dear Original,

I have been told of the crime rate in Nai-rah, I wish to come speak to you of the matter. My brother and I will make our way to Vil-lon once we hear from you or Cassandra. My sister will be heading to Nai-rah with a Kiran to check on the territory. We will await for your call,

Gabriel "

Once he was done reading the letter, he rolled it back up and stuck it in his pants pocket. He sent Lana on her way back home, and looked to everyone else. "It looks like we all have stuff to take care of... Kael, return home and I will send for you again later. Thank you for coming, old friend." He grasped Kael's forearm as a sign of respect, then turned to look at the two women. "Cassandra, Siena, I wish for you two to accompany me to the First Families Room. Cassandra, we have some explaining to do..." Ulrik felt sick to his stomach, this was something he wished to never tell his wife. But it was indeed time, it could save her life.

Cassandra stood there sad and angry. She held the trinket in her hands and just stared at it. She glanced up at her Lord and Lady awaiting word from them. That was when Ulrik had spoken up..

"I think I have an idea, but I am not one-hundred percent sure. But this must be taken with caution Kael, we can not go barging into their territory. I am sure they have had many years of training with their forces. They could probably kill you, and quickly. So we must. . ."

A snow owl approached them, which cut off the Original's words. It was Lana, Gabriel's snow owl, attached to her was a letter. She watched as Ulrik untied the letter from the owl's foot. She sighed, Gabriel had already heard of the terrible news, she hoped nothing had happened in their land. . .Once Ulrik had finished reading the letter, he spoke:

"It looks like we all have stuff to take care of... Kael, return home and I will send for you again later. Thank you for coming, old friend......Cassandra, Siena, I wish for you two to accompany me to the First Families Room. Cassandra, we have some explaining to do..."

When he spoke those words, she knew exactly what was happening. Ulrik was going to tell Siena of his past with Jessierys. It should be an interesting conversation, and she knew that her friend would want her there to help explain things. Then, she thought about something. . .Once Ulrik and Siena had began walking towards the castle she stayed behind for a second. Before Kael could walk off, she grabbed his arm. Cassandra wanted to make sure Kael wasn't going to do anything stupid.

"You better not do anything stupid, Kael. I like you, you're a good friend. But do not put the rest of us in danger because you want revenge, please. I am not an angry person, but Jessierys and her people are pushing my buttons by attacking our people. We will put a stop to her, but we have to be very careful...and I will make sure we are not in danger. No matter what I have to do..."

She kissed his cheek and left to head towards the castle. But before she was just out of hearing range, she said, "Be careful, my friend. In this case, keep your friends closer, not your enemies." Then she was gone. Cassandra caught up to Ulrik and Siena quickly.

Kael nodded his head towards Ulrik and turned to leave through his shadows when Cassandra grabbed his arm and told him not to be rash and once she let go and was out of sight he whispered to himself "I don't know if i can promise that" and with those words he stepped into the shadows heading back to his territory to accept whomever was coming to check up on him and his people, hr grumbled saying "Please don't let it be Elvira" and he was gone.

Seina listen to all of them. She leans into her loves for a bit then moves away. She kept listening. She tilts her head"Love you do not look well. Have you had enough blood?"She ask. She looks at Cassandra and saw she didn't look to happy. She sighs as she walks with Ulrik. She knew he planned to tell her something. She pushed her hair out of her face and look ahead. She had waved Kael goodbye as they walk into the castle. She smiles at the others in the castle but a part of her was upset over being suddenly told she had to leave her garden. She wonder what Ulrik would tell her in this family meeting that he has never called unless his brother was there.
