She hadn't met another negaverser since Osumilite. And even then, she could barely remember the memory of him. It had been a battle, and she was greatly outmatched. Since then, she had met Knights and Other Senshi...
And even one of the Dark Mirror Court.
But she had yet to meet another Negaverser.
Her patrols were met with only a little youma, and even littler evil presence.
She hissed as she felt a chill down her spine, looking around. Her arms came around her to rub at her arms, goosebumps forming. Whatever was coming...It was strong. She was scared.
She'd fight though.

His aura could be felt across a city, no small wonder she felt his aura creeping across her skin like a chill wind. The fact he saw her in turn, that he felt her aura brush through his attentions and drawing his gaze towards the shiver that ran down her back, to the hands rubbing at her arms seeking warmth in the chill evening… He teleported to her, a blink, not even a breath and he was simply there, having removed his coat and sliding it, still warm over her shoulders. “Cold, are we little senshi?” He was still more than well guarded from the wind, long sleeves, gloves, vest, never mind the thick fabric undershirt that supported his mask. “You must be glad that summer is nearly here.” His voice was… dangerous dark velvet, an old friend with a trusted word.

It was hard not to feel evil looming. If she was a human, she wondered if she would feel it? If she would feel it falling down, chilling her to the bone.
She wasn't sure if it was the joke of Senshi being little covered in clothing, or the immediate chill in her bones...or the fear of being sneaking up literally behind her, but her reaction to the jacket dropping on her shoulder was to freeze. Literally.
She thought a million ideas, devised a billion ways to attack, to run, to turn, to do anything. It was like a roaring at the sheer threat of danger that muted as he spoke.
"Hard to be cold..." She started, attemping her own mask, calm. She had to keep calm. Ladies didn't freak out, only little girls ran away. Ladies were diplomatic, calm and wise. His words were like silk, it should be easy. "When a gentleman offers his coat against the chill." She didn't face him yet, she couldn't. Wait. Talk. Distract.
"I've often wondered if weather effects us Senshi, Will I be running around in a small skirt during the winter battling Youma? Or will I be protected?" She swallowed the small lump of awkwardness. "It's terribly rude of me to ask this, but you're aura..." It was crushing, stifling...Chaos..."Are you a Dark Mirror Court? or a Negaverse?" She could only hope that she was terribly wrong.
She was new to this world, maybe she read it wrong...but how she felt...She wasn't sure.

He let out a soft laugh, almost a purr. “Negaverse.” He murmured. “General-King.” He offered as further clarification. If she did not know though, if she remained unsure what he was he wondered truly if she knew what that meant. “I am called Zinkenite.” He added, moving with measured step to stand beside her, offering her a measured look, a small tilt of his head before turning his gaze out towards the city, spotted with evening lights. “I couldn’t honestly say how it effects yours… that isn’t an interview that I have conducted yet. Perhaps you might assist me.” He turned his gaze back to hers, though his voice was deep and dark velvet, his eyes were as unsettling as his aura, a pale, yet vibrant blue like ice. “And you? Whom do I have the pleasure of addressing? I don’t believe that I have spoken to, or seen you before. You make me curious I admit.”

"It's almost pleasing to know that a Negaverse can be so polite. The last time I met one of...your kingdom? Army...they were not so kind." She couldn't panic but she could at least know...She was facing more then a simple warrior from their side. It was evident by the aura, and by his title. General-King. She was in the midst of a man..being that was strong.. That's what she took from it. That's what she could understand. She was prey...and her was the predator.
Her heart felt like a rabbits. Fast, small beats. Like it was gonna jump out of her chest. Be calm, Mintaka became her mantra.
"A pleasure Sir Zinkenite." She offered in return, her gaze finally reaching his. It was hard not to be startled by the good looks even if most was hidden by dark cloth. It wasn't till she met his eyes that she had to try hard not to shudder. Cold, like the way she felt. Ice like the way his looked.
"Since you've so kindly offered your name, Mine is Mintaka, Senshi of Origami." She gave a very forced smile. "Do you interview Senshi's a lot? It seems tedious with so many out there, isn't it?"
She moved her gaze back to the lights of the city from their perch. Wondering if the other Senshi had hid, how could they not with his Aura, would anyone be dumb enough to come fight him?
"I'm afraid I'm a terrible person to ask for assistance. I'm barely awakened to this world, and I know little to nothing. My job is hunt Youma's...and that Negaverse are the enemies. Perhaps even the Dark Mirror court."
She didn't understand why she felt the compulsion to talk, her better nature told her that this was an enemy. She was in a war. Or was she? Was she in a war yet? She didn't know.
She brought her hands up to form a small crane and let it drift from her hands, something akin to her own little nervous habit, it was comforting to see she could form some power even amidst all his.
"Something simple as letting you know if I am cold in winter due to little clothing as akin to summer seems insignificant in the grand scheme of things." She looked over to him, "Are you always so...kind? to your enemies?"

“Every enemy is a potential ally.” He replied with another small roll of his shoulders. “After all… I find there is so much we don’t know about each other so much that your own don’t tell each other. If we can talk to each other in a civil manner then as often as not we can reach an…understanding.” His words trailed off as he watched the crane, blinking owlishly and perhaps a touch cautiously. “Touching that won’t attempt to turn –me- into origami will it?” He asked, his gaze turning to her with an amused glint in his eyes. As for weather, I can tell you that I personally find the heat of summer rather oppressive, so I find it curious to know if the same is true for you and yours. I have seen senshi who lacked shoes entirely, many who wore sandals…what could be said of those who are forced to wear such things in the snow and ice?” He found a seat at the roof edge, a precarious perch but it made him shorter, and therefor less threatening. Height already aided with that, but this helped. “My oath that I will not attack you, not this night. I’d rather make an ally than some body.”

Truly, Mintaka thought, a gentleman before her eyes and she could do nothing more then facade herself as a lady. She was beginning to relax a bit more, her guard at least lowering to allow civil discussion, as he spoke of.
She startled, looking down at her paper crane and a small laugh came out. "Nonsense! I'm not powerful enough to turn you into origami." She gave him a small...perhaps even a teasing bit of a look. "But a Lady doesn't reveal all her tricks in the first meeting does she?" She formed another crane and handed to him. "An olive branch if you will. That our meeting remains peaceful and diplomatic."
When he made his way to sit on the roof edge, Mintaka's was to follow suit. However she felt more relaxed standing, where she could chance for escape then sitting and attempting to from there. She made sure to stay within his vision, as she still wore his coat and looked around. "I've met one or two senshi." She looked at him, curiousity welling. Even though he was an enemy, he was a vast resource of knowledge. He could lie to her, but she doubted he would. Often the truth was more dirtier then lies, and still served the same purpose.
At his Oath...She finally relaxed as much as she could, and escape became less of an idea in her head. She took a seat next to him, tugging the jacket closer for the sake of warmth.
"You want an Ally, I am not opposed to that." She hummed thoughtfully, "you said Senshi wouldn't tell other Senshi about each other, Is there some dirty secrets I should know about...my faction?"

“Every…faction has secrets.” He said casting his eyes to one side as though avoiding the subject. “I think the biggest that the senshi try and keep…is that…I honestly believe they have done more damage to the city than we have.” He gave a small bitter laugh. “One of my officers lost the last of his family to a spell, she fell asleep at the wheel. There was a period …maybe a year or so ago where dreams were dangerous, you could wake up in your own bed with injuries.” He shook his head at that and frowned. “I saw people in civilian clothes be hurt in those dreams, I can only assume that they were damaged the same way I was when I woke…but that’s harder to prove than the event that put half the city to sleep… I know a group of them tortured, maimed, and killed some of us that they kept bound and beaten in some…elaborate complex they assembled. One of my officers, one I found and rescued, I had to chase rats away from her feet, away from –her- because they were chewing. Another, was sliced to bloody ribbons by a senshi with power over glass.” He reached up and pulled down the fabric mask and let out a long deep breath of a sigh. “And yet, we… who you call chaos are deemed to be the ‘worst thing’ for this city.” He gave a bitter laugh at that.

She listened carefully, lapping into silence as a means to absorb. It was the same way she was when learning from school, or her private tutors. She would file information neatly in spots in her brain and keep it there for later referencing. For now she would call this the war folder.
She couldn't imagine the dangers of sleep, the one place that shouldn't be plagued with nightmares. it was a time of resting, and to die...She couldn't imagine. It was hard to keep the disturbed expression from her face, but she focused from him to the city lights.
She didn't wanted to hear taint on a world she wasn't ready for. She's was only 17, she wasn't ready for death..she wasn't even ready for pain.
"I don't want to hurt people." She looked over at Zinkenite, "I don't want to hurt them so badly like that. I'll only fight when it's the only way out but I don't want to hurt people." She brought her knee's up, trying to make herself smaller in his coat and within herself. "Why do we fight? I was told it was to stop you guys from taking civilians energies. Is that all you guys do? Is that warranting of death and torture?"
It was hard to believe that those aligned with good would sink to such bottomless pits of bad. Was she so naive to believe that she could talk her way out of things?
"I don't understand why Senshi would do that...It sounds like something that a Negaverse should do...Something that by all rights, You would be capable of?"

“I could do that now, yes… “ He admitted freely. “I could drain a small amount of energy from the entire city if I was so inclined, but I could not then. I think it is true as well that most people of my…rank within the Dark Kingdom do not venture quite as much as I into the outside world.” “But I find, that we are all –capable- of it, it’s more a question of who is doing it.” He gestured towards the moon and let his hand fall again. “Before the moon princess, our citadel, so we are told, rested on the surface. A great castle dedicated to the prince of earth, not a senshi, just a prince, our prince.” “Before her… there were no youma, small wonders they hate everything they once were, but loathe the senshi as well. I imagine they must see reflections of her and hers in every white bodice.”

Mintaka felt the gnawing doubt of herself growing. It had only took one talk, but it was often one talk with the otherside to open the eyes from ignorance. This was war. It was not so black and white like she wanted to believe. Like it was easier to believe.
She would have to grow up quickly to meet this challenge.
"You don't." She said simply, "Why don't you?" She looked over at him, "What makes you not to do it?"
She frowned, "Moon Princess?" She hadn't heard of any moon princess, and suddenly felt really stupid. She was a new senshi after all, "I've only heard of the Neptune princess, A knight was looking for her." She rubbed her face a bit. "How little I know about my own people. About my own side."
"What happened to your prince?"

“Seduced by the moon princess, they entered into a forbidden romance, he’s is a matriarchal society…which is well and good unless you’re trying to seduce your way into ruling a moon and the earth both. Before you ask, no I don’t doubt that was the intent, every senshi has their own world…but you’re all here, with us. We don’t go to space; we only ever could with help. So while I know at least one such world was destroyed… I wonder always how it’s assumed we got there.” “… You call yourselves the side of order… but, it seems an awful lot as though you are more chaotic than we, who you call chaos.

Romance. Politics. Worlds. It was too big for her to wrap her head around.
And to get the information from Chaos, instead of her own.
She didn't argue with him and let another origami crane drop down.
"Why do we pay for the mistakes the past make." She wondered, "Why are we separated on sides. If I wasn't a Senshi, and you weren't a General. Would we coexist to make a better world?" She looked away, "I don't even know what my world is now. My own planet." She laughed. "I never asked for this."
She sniffed a bit before standing, slipping his coat and handing over to him. She offered it with a smile, though sad. "As a lady, It was my pleasure to meet you Sir Zinkenite of the Negaverse." She formed an origami crane again, handing it to him. "If you want to talk again, or if you need me. Just let this one loose." She hesitated, "it will find me, and I will look for you." She frowned. "I don't know what this means to for me, if other Senshi find out..." She shook her head. "Again, thank you...you have given me your side. It's time to find out about the other."

“I think we are doomed to repeat it, but my side at least is … fighting yours, when we control the rest of the world, they won’t tell you that either. You won’t find senshi –anywhere- else because it’s just us, remarkably, despite the opinions about us the cities aren’t rubble, they aren’t all dead, and but for the normal politics I think they are doing fairly well. “You should talk to some of your fellow senshi, have them show you how to get to your home. If you see me again, I’d trust you enough to go with you. I’ve been to one before… I admit it was a curious experience. Sadly… I can’t take you to my own citadel. There are things there that hate everything you are, and to go AS you are I’m afraid I can’t help.” He took the paper crane gently and nodded his head slightly. “Thank you very much, should you ever need me, find a lieutenant, they can send for me, or seek me out themselves, as I have nothing like this to offer you.”

She nodded. "The past often does." repeat and repeat. Worse worse.
"My own world. A small wonder to show you." She nodded, "I will, I'll talk to them. Find out more about this and more about myself." Her smile widened at his bold deceleration, and though they had just met, she wondered if she too trusted him enough. She couldn't help but too.
"I wonder if it's a pretty place." she shook her head, "It's okay." She looked over to him. "I hope to see you again Zinkenite. Really I do. It was nice. Have a...quiet evening."
She dropped down from her spot on the roof, to the ground and disappearing in her own flurry of origami.
An ally. Perhaps. Someone she may be able to learn more from. Zinkenite. She would deem him the gentleman of the negaverse after this.
