You have been saddled with a rather distant and stand-offish teen. While they're clearly along for the journey and are raring to help hunt the beast, they don't seem to want to bother talking with the rest of the group, and walk along a small ways back from the rest of the party. You have a npc, or non player character filling the final spot as your group's teen. The group will function as a 3 person group, only when you run into the lusus, one party member can roll for the teen npc as many times as necessary, as well as post their kid throwing the net.
PARTY STATUS copy and paste this into each of your posts, updating the information as necessary.
The feeling of another oncoming WACKY weather system prickles your skin. With a feeling of dread, you brace yourself for the effects of… A soothing, balmy breeze. Aaah… This weather effect will remain in play until the next dice are rolled.

Something glinting over a bluff catches your eye. A burrow in the side of the dune yields a bounty of shining golden beetles! And as they say, lucky beetles mean good fortune (and megabux$$$). Each member of the group has acquired 1 lucky beetle that can be redeemed at the end of the meta for a variety of rewards. You cannot carry any more than 5 lucky beetles total; if you run into this encounter more than 5 times, you cannot collect any more.
A thick translucent blanket of dust appears ominously on the horizon. It looms closer and closer until finally a distinctive wind whips around its waves of sand and dust, creating a suffocating climate for everyone inside of the storm. This weather effect will remain in play until a 1, 3, or 5 are rolled on a D6.

An overenthusiastic bouncebeast hops into view. You don’t pay it any mind at first, but when it starts to get closer—and closer—you realize that spring is in the air. The lovestruck beast assaults your group! The bouncebeast has 1 HP, but has a +1 to avoid being hit (you will need to roll a 4 or above to hit). Every post in which the lovestruck bouncebeast has not been defeated incurs 1 point of damage to the group (as it wounds the group’s dignity in trying to hump their legs).
The pitter-patter of drizzly rain dot the sand with dark freckles. It’s pleasant at first, but soon the rain picks up pace. A roar of rolling thunder heralds a torrential rainstorm! Soon thick, heavy raindrops coat every surface in sight. This weather effect will remain in play until a 1, 3, or 5 are rolled on a D6.

Upon encountering a heap of weather-ravaged rubble, you spot a familiar hoppity stump laying on the ground. Whether it’s a sign of the dangerous WACKY weather is irrelevant – any troll knows that bouncebeast hooves bring good luck! Your group has acquired a lucky bouncebeast hoof! The hoof can be used to reroll one dice roll during the meta. When the use of the hoof has been announced, the most recent roll is thrown out and can be re-rolled. The lucky bouncebeast hoof is then discarded from the inventory.
Little pebbles of ice fall in sheets from the sky, and soon the little pebbles feel like veritable chunks of gravel, knives, and a bad case of hypothermia. The ice storm doesn’t seem like it’s going to let up—at least, it looks that way through the blinding shards of frozen awfulness that completely obscure your vision. This weather effect will remain in play until a 1 or a 6 are rolled on a D6.

Passing through the desert, the only thing that is particularly interesting is the grim landmark of a set of lusus bones half-buried in the desert sand. This is not the lusus you’re looking for! Carry on. Look, there’s a little troll skeleton beside them... Aww!

You find a peculiar desert creature snuffling around in the sand! The poor little guy seems pretty bewildered by all of this weather stuff, so you decide to give it a warm pocket to cling onto. Your group has adopted the multi-limbed gerbil! After the meta, each member of the group can bring their own special friend home.
No. No no no. He didn't like this! Why was he stuck with such....LOWBLOODS! Miache was good candidate to be successful and impress the empress with his dedication.....instead, what, he got slumped with the team up screw ups no one else wanted. Ugh......had he done something wrong? It was his piss poor performance at the winter games.....must've been. He grit his teeth and hissed in displeasure. He should've tried even harder....maybe if he hadn't passed out on his sled......RRRRGH! Damn his phobia!
When his eyes finally settled on the two fellow wigglers and the rather spaced out looking teen he puffed up his chest self importantly. WELL! Even though they were LOWBLOODS and he REALLY should've been paired with BETTER.....that did not give him licence to exhibit bad behavior. His lusus would be VERY disappointed in him if he showed bad manners. "My name is Miache. And I hope you are aware that we will be giving this 110%. Slacking off is NOT an option!" he huffed. Might as well crack the whip early. They probably expected their team to be a pitiful show, but he wouldn't let that be the case!

"Of course not!" said Keionx, puffing out her undeveloped chest in an equally self-important manner, "Heroic knights do not slack off! We train day after day!" she stood proudly, a hand on her sword hilt, absolutely quaking in excitement and delight. She was just so happy to be out doing knightly things, finally and officially! She was out in the desert with an adventurng party to quest for a rampaging lusus and to retrieve an important item... How awesome was that?!
She wished that her twin was around to write about her heroic adventures, but he must have stayed home... though she could have sworn that he'd left too... Oh well! She must have been mistaken! She'd tell him all about her adventures when she got back, with trophies likely.
"My name is Keionx Rutace, and I am ready to go on this valiant quest..." sheglanced at Miache and the teenager - the highblood and the official leader. "When thou art, of course."
Wallas felt that familiar sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. The other redblood seemed pleasant enough, if a bit showy, but that blueblood... what would happen if Wallas somehow failed to give 110%? Would he be culled? And what was that older troll's deal? Well, perhaps he shouldn't be expected to talk to just kids... "The name's Wallas," he said, taking care to not make too big a show out of himself. "Um... I guess that we should just start by moving forward." Oh god oh god hopefully that wasn't too presumptuous and the blueblood wouldn't take his head off.
Suddenly there was a massive gust of wind, and Wallas nearly jumped fifty feet into the air. "Um, guys... the lusus is HERE!" Adrenaline flowing, Wallas pitched one of his lusus nets towards the rampaging beast, hoping to slow it down so that weird older guy could score a hit.

"Greetings Wallas!" said Keionx, bowing politely. Just because he was a redblood and thus slightly lower than her, didn't mean that she should not be polite and respectful. The mark of a true knight was to be honorable to those beneath her, and Keionx was a true knight. Or she'd like to be. Unfortunately, she just had her net and her sword, and honestly it was a training sword. "Yes!" she said, glancing at the teenager, who shrugged as teens did "Forward!" she gestured dramatically . The gust of wind happened, just happened, to coincide with the gesture, and, she was momentarily surprised. But then she grinned as she saw a striking white shape. "To battle then!" she cried unecessarily, throwing her net in the showiest manner possible, pumping her fist in victory as her throw slowed the beast. It was not very modest of her to do so - another trait of a 'true knight' - but she didn't really care. This whole thing? Awesome.
Wahhhh......it was so big! Miache balked at the sight of such a massive lusus. His own lusus was only slightly bigger than a full-grown troll.....he was no where near as just.....HUGE! The bigger it seemed the less he felt he could belittle the troll it belonged to, even if it had been a lowblood. Admittedly, when he heard about a lusus running amok he'd assumed their troll had likely been a lowblood, something pathetic that couldn't take care of their own lusus, but something so big....he could understand!
Miache snapped his gaze at Keionx and scrunched his face. She was so NOISY! At least the redblood had the decorum to be properly nervous around someone as impressive as Miache. He cast the thoughts aside as he tossed his own net sidelong, slowing the beast of a lusus.

Fuuuuuuuhhhhh.......sooo much work to try to capture this stupid thing. Morphe just wanted to go home.....maybe take a nap.......yea, that sounded good. The yellowblood groaned loudly at the lusus as it slowed towards him, the wrigglers looking at him and his tonfas. He wasn't that great with them....he really didn't know what they were expecting....

Morphe felt that last hit make the beast cringe. Wow....he must've gotten in a pretty lucky shot....that wasn't like him. He was well aware his physical strength was probably a joke to most trolls his age, but he slowly rolled his shoulders as he pulled his arm back to lay into the beast once more.

Somehow he seemed to be hitting far better than he could've ever anticipated....the beast even looked a little ornery about the yellowblood hitting him. He suddenly had a wash of fear; what if it decided to stop its rampage to end with the murder of a certain sleepy yellowblood? He cringed at the thought, he didn't much care for that idea. He shook it off before again laying into the lusus, perhaps feeling a little emboldened by all the little wrigglers staring hopefully at him.

Were the kids still watching? Morphe could feel his face heat up from the adrenaline fueled high, he was doing so well.......were they impressed? Did they think he was cool? He was sure it wouldn't last long.....but he had the feeling he was doing pretty damned decently for such a pathetic sight. Well, not like the kids knew him so they didn't know any better. He could enjoy the briefness of wrigglers not thinking he was loser.

Kei whooped as the beast stormed away. "That was EXCELLENT!" she said, clapping at the teenager. "I am filled with respect and awe!" she bowed. Huh. Maybe the teenager was pretty decent after all.
Everybody had done well. She was very proud of being part of this adventuring group.
She retrieved her net. "Onward!" she said, pointing her sword ahead at the retreating cloud that was the lusus, "We will claim a victory!" she said, beaming
(Travellin!)
LUSUS ENCOUNTER YET AGAIIIIN
And there it was again! Kei shouted a warcry, running as fast as she could to get a good angle to toss her net. "To arms, good trolls, to arms!" she cried, gleeful.

"I agree," Miache conceded. "For a lowblood you performed admirably." He nodded his approval. Now wasn't the time to rest or pat themselves on the back though. They must've damaged the lusus more than they'd thought, it had slowed enough for them to run back up to it and catch it again. Excellent! They would show their worth to the Empress yet! He thought he'd gotten the worst team! Maybe they weren't so bad. Even lowbloods could occasionally do well. He'd give them credit for that.
This time Miache was less balked by the sight of the lusus, wasting no time to cast his net again. It wouldn't escape before they took another good chunk out of its hide!!

REFRESHING REST POST
Everyone in your group is well rested. Your group recovers three stamina, to a maximum of five! Your group recovers 13 hp, if you were previously at zero!
Not weeks after Bloodfest, a familiar snowfall begins to accumulate on the ground, and then rapidly accelerates into a snowstorm. Between the snow, sand and a rapidly changing WACKY sky, it’s nearly impossible to keep track of up and down, let alone a white lusus in a snowstorm. This weather effect will remain in play until a 1, 3, or 5 are rolled on a D6.
1,3
The group decides to take refuge in a cave far in the distance. Taking the trip was well worth it, and even though you’ve lost some time in the night, the cool air is really quite refreshing. The group can choose to spend some time bonding in the cave. Hanging out in the cave for 3 posts will result in everyone in the group regaining 1 stamina!
Uh oh. The ground rumbles suddenly. Not again! Sure enough, after a moment the rough shaking of the ground resumes with surprising force. It’s an earthquake! This weather effect will remain in play until a 2, 3, 4, or 5 are rolled on a D6.

Out of the storm emerges a very disgruntled wet bedraggled desert sandcrawlinglizardbeast! It has no intention of humoring more desert interlopers. Or maybe it's gotten confused and thinks its a tornado. The sandcrawlinglizardbeast has 10 HP. The group takes 3 damage each post it hasn't been defeated yet.
What’s this? A piece of the WACKY? A part of a ship? A discarded Greasy-Bake Condescension Oven? Whatever it is, it’s pretty beaten up, but the tech looks significant. You decide to pick it up just in case. Your group has acquired a pile of charred technology! Each troll in the group gets one, and is recommended to hang onto it, you never know what it will be useful for.... You cannot carry more than one charred technology.

Plop. Plop. Something drops from the sky, landing over the hill. Another flops into the sand nearby, making an unpleasant squelching noise. Plop—splat. At your feet, the grey, gooey eye of a fish stares back up at you. Plop. A mackerel. Plop-plop. A few sardines. Plop plop plop plopplopploploplopopop—FISH RAIN! This weather effect will remain in play until another weather effect is rolled. Players may roll 2d4 for their regular item, location and lusus encounters, but will be plagued with a constant fishy invasion until then.
