You seem quite a fair bit lost as you wander around. The trees all look the same and so do the flowers and so do the rocks and pathway. You walk and walk until you feel quite a bit dizzy and when you can't walk any more you look up, and realize you are at a tree. A very strange, bent out of shape tree.
"Hello," says the tree, "Have you come for a story?" The tree smiles, or rather, the space above the tree, just at the very nook, above one of the signs, to the left over the overhanging branch. "Are you here for a story or a riddle?"

At last, on that space above the tree, just at the very nook, above one of the signs, to the left over on the overhanging branch, appears a very smug half-invisible cat.
"You may call me a Cheshire cat," it begins, fading in and out of sight at random will, "but just one of many. We reside here you see. This is a nice place, and we so very much do enjoy a good riddle. Let us play a small game, if you will so indulge me. I'll give you something nice of course in return. All right, here goes the riddle"

"The answer is a knife, for a blade is best flat, and of course sharp at the edges. Quite a simple question this one, it's almost not a riddle at all."

"The answer for this one is your shadow. It follows you everywhere, and hides anywhere. Quite tricky, that shadow."

Trees, trees, and more trees. the0racle was about to get tired of running into trees. She thought that the trees would make nice landmarks, since they were all so unique... but it turned out that with every tree being so unique she couldn't tell where she was going. the0racle didn't dare stray off the path she had set herself on, because she was sure that she would be unable to find her way back. Her mind wasn't the sharpest tool out there, and she certainly didn't want to test it when she had no one else around to help get her out of, or into, trouble.
The tree the0racle was looking at now was just like the rest in the way that it was... another unique tree. She rather liked how it drooped, as if it was depressed or even lonely. This one, like the ones she had first encountered, seemed to have the uncanny ability to speak, or at least she thought it was speaking. "Oh, I'm just here because I'm... here." It was about as straight an answer as anyone could have gotten out of her.
She noticed it then, that it was not the tree talking but rather a semi-transparent cat. Or well, parts of it she could see and other parts she couldn't. She had to wonder what the invisible parts were actually like. "Like my class? Hah, cool." She knew she had picked a cool one, and it would explain why she couldn't see chunks of her luxuriously fluffy tail...
The cat seemed up for a game, and the0racle was more than willing to give it a try. She had to wonder what she got for winning?
"What is flat but sharp at the edges?"
Though, the0racle was never particularly good at riddles. The player opened her mouth dramatically and hummed a response, buying for time as she thought of a suitable answer. Would something bad happen if she got it wrong? She wouldn't mind seeing that too much if she didn't win. It took the0racle more than a few minutes to even come up with an answer, though the cheshire cat seemed more than content to give her the time she needed.
"A... blade, knife... thing?"

A figure appeared out of thin air, one who's smile curled from one end of his feline face to the other. It was a bit unsettling, but NotAllan didn't want to be rude.
"Uh. Hello there," she murmured, trying to avoid looking at the thing. She didn't know if it was an enemy or an aggro after all. It gave a short introduction to itself, and NotAllan had no choice but to quietly nod and hope that this thing wasn't going to kill her.
"What can chew you but never swallow?"
She put a hand on her chin, looking upwards and to the right as she tried to solve a relatively easy riddle. It was hard to come up with answers right off the bat, but nonetheless, she would try. Something that you chewed, but didn't swallow ... "Gum!" she answered with the snap of her fingers.
The cheshire did nothing but smile and reply, ""The answer is a tongue of course, for a tongue you always chew on, accidentally maybe, but never can swallow. Assuming you are still very much alive, that is."
NotAllan pursed her lips, unhappy with that result. "Gum is completely applicable too," she muttered.
He was perfectly pleased it seemed, even though she was "wrong" (she wasn't) and continued to say, "All right, now it is your turn. Ask me a riddle, and give me a second to think. If I guess right however, I win. If I don't guess right, then you win, and I will give you my treasure. Come now, ask me anything. A riddle is as good as a story."

The trees here were all rather odd, but the one that had caught her attention was especially so. Nightbloom warily approached the strangely shaped thing, her tail flicking back and forth behind her as she crept up towards it. For some inexplicable reason, she felt rather uneasy upon approaching it, as if something were watching her. Could it be the tree? She wasn't aware of whether of not this thing had eyes, but considering the fact that the others could talk--
--Ah, there it went. Only...hold on one moment--that wasn't the tree speaking, was it? If it was, then that was certainly an odd place for a mouth to be hovering. Squinting up at it in confusion, the ghoul squinted, drawing back slightly when she noticed what appeared the be the faint outline of a cat-like figure.
Well, that she could accept more easily than a talking tree.
Shifting her weight from one foot to the other, Nightbloom lift a hand and rubbed at the back of her neck. "I, ah. Sure, I suppose...?" It wasn't exactly as if she had anything else to do right now, after all--might as well just deal with things as they came her way.

the0racle was rather surprised that despite how long it took her to answer... her answer was right!? The cat seemed to be pleased, though she was sure that if she had gotten it wrong, it would have been pleased anyways. Maybe the poor thing just wanted some attention? the0racle reached out to pet it, and then decided better of it. No way to tell where that thing had been.
"A uh, riddle... me?" Great. The player sighed and impatiently rocked on her heels, trying to think of something good enough to stump the cat. But, she was notoriously terrible at these sort of things. She could hardly keep her own thoughts straight from time to time. "Why would the ball carry fruits?"
The cat stared at her for a few seconds, and she was pretty sure because it thought she was stupid.
"It's a basketball."
Oh.
"Let me try again, I'll give you a good one!" That damned cat had answered her in like, two seconds!

Upon receiving the question, Nightbloom gave the cat a blank stare. That wasn't a riddle she had heard before, and she wasn't even sure where to start. Folding her arms across her chest, she closed her eyes and let out a hum, her brows furrowing in concentration. Think, think...
...She had nothing. In a weak attempt at providing an answer, she sheepishly ducked her head. "A, um...a person sitting on top of a stool?"

The cat was going to let her play again, but first she had to solve another one of its stupid riddles. the0racle was beginning to believe that she would get nowhere with this game, and this back and forth with the cat would become tedious.
But, she hated losing, so much so that she'd put up with the cheshire cat. Besides, it was basically her character class, and that was still pretty cool.
The cat began to ask her the question, "Wait, wait, you just said this one. Are you going easy on me?" the0racle interrupted the cheshire cat without hesitation. The cat waited for her to finish her little tirade before finishing the question.
The same exact riddle she had just solved. "It's a ******** knife."

"What's black and white and red all over?"
The cheshire looked perplexed, almost annoyed. He had every right to be after all- this riddle had multiple answers. No matter what he answered, NotAllan could just change the answer. Exactly what she intended to do. And being a riddle-monger, the cheshire knew this.
NotAllan was much, much smarter than she looked. She just didn't bother pulling out her intelligence except when needed. . "A surprising twist, but I love surprises. You are quite the clever one, and for that, you deserve a small prize. Just this time, of course, just once."
Chel smiled smugly and took her prize with greedy, glimmering eyes.

Apparently she had been horribly, horribly wrong, but that wasn't all that surprising to the ghoul. To be honest, she didn't really understand the answer that the cat provided either, but perhaps she was just missing something obvious? Who knows.
When it asked her for a question, however, she immediately froze. She wasn't really good at coming up with such things on the spot, so she asked him the first thing that came to mind: "When you do not know what I am, then I am something. But when you know what I am, then I am nothing".
Basically, it was one of the most well known riddles that she knew.
And its answer was "a riddle".
Which, unsurprisingly, the cat got. Sigh.

"It's your turn again, fluffy," the0racle gestured back up to the cat and waited for her next challenge. Hopefully it wasn't the same challenge she had just conquered, or else she'd start to think the cheshire cat was a little... mentally impaired. And that was a lot coming from the0racle, really.
And then the a*****e asked her the same goddamn riddle for the third time.
"Okay, do we need to take a break? Have you run out of riddles? It's okay, just come down here and I will pet you and it will be okay." She gestured quickly to the cat, who just disappeared and reappeared in another spot.
"It's a knife. I KNOW. I'm not stupid!" she grumbled.
