Just wanted to give a heads up. If you bought the items on Dernier*Cri while it was on sale, those might not work for the Backwings. When I was crafting mine, I had the items in my inventory but in the formula it showed 0. I played with the Inventory arranger, I traded the duplicates, I tried many things, and finally annoyed I bought the items again and then they showed up in the Alchemy page. Has something like that ever happened to you? I'm pretty sure you can report that as a bug, but I was too impatient to wait for Gaia staff to answer me, so... keep that in mind!

Indeed, I had good luck crafting the Celestial quest, so I had the gold to re-buy the items right there. I'm reselling them in the market place, but yeah... I was pissed because that sale ended up costing me double neutral It's better if you're aware that might happen, because when you're crafting you're excited that you're finally getting the wings, and then you get stopped indefinitely by that ridiculous glitch.... it's irritating. scream scream

I am so glad the only thing I decided to buy during the sale was mini angel wings. I thought really long about getting things I needed for wings but thought I should just wait until later. I wouldn't have liked experiencing that. x.x

That did happen to me when I was crafting my celestials. I thought it was just a glitch so I didn't think anything of it. o w o; But now to hear it from you, as well.
Do you think we should file a ticket now? Or at least let a staff know somehow?

Well, unfortunately I didn't take screen caps when it happened, so I have nothing to support a ticket... did you take any screencaps when it happened?

No I didn't @__@; And I am very far away from being able to take another haha... It took me like 8 hours to go from level 10-1 to level 10-3, I remember I finally finished the backwings at 6am. So I was so sleep deprived I didn't think too much about it OTL

I have all the pieces I need to finish up my Lucifer's Wings...just need to open up thousands of base caches. I'll keep this in mind when I make the wings. Hopefully, the issue will be fixed by then, but if not, I'll screencap and file a ticket on behalf of all of us.

oh yuck. I bought all the D*C items I needed for archangel and lucifers wings during the sale, but I'm struggling to get past level 4.
Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll have fixed it before I get to 10 and start crafting ._.

Thanks to lilloulou's explanation and a bit of fiddling around in my inventory, I figured out the cause for the bug. Basically.... Every item on Gaia has an ID number, and re-releases seem to have different IDs than the original. Alchemy formulas are coded to recognize the specific ID, which is probably why there is a new option in crafting things that use evolving items (since each generation has a new ID). If you click on the item and click on "Gift Item," it will to the page where you pick the wrapping paper, etc. It'll read something like http://www.gaiaonline.com/giftgiving/?item=# The # = item ID. Same thing when you go to a MP entry. It will have a URL like this http://www.gaiaonline.com/marketplace/itemdetail/# where # = item ID. In the case of the Sentinel's Headplate from the sale, its ID is 10023701. However, the MP entry for the item has the ID of 56189, which I assume is the regular one you'd get from paying full price at Dernier*Cri. Until Gaia edits the formulas to recognize these new codes, the best we can do is file a ticket and hope for an exchange. Or suck it up and buy another one. xP
