Letting the nerves pass, Vyren began his scouting mission once again. The first attempt at beating the Ysali was not nearly as successful as he had initially hoped. It was hard to try and fight a foe that was so quick, as these Ysali have proved to be.
He would never have considered it luck that he killed the very first dragon he came across, as he would instead consider it pure skill. The Dovaa walked through the Forests of Endeldarth in search of a Ysali to kill.
Vyren ran across a small pack of Yvazhi, the demonic imps. He hadn't ever seen them in person; just pictures in textbooks of them ransacking villages on Soudul. They were little guys, but they could certainly overtake him had he decided to mess with them. That is one battle he didn't want on his hands just yet.
Finally, after more searching and lucking out from battling the imps, Vyren finally noticed a Ysali in a clearing. Once again, he pulled the blade and started his fireball. It looks like he had figured out his starting attack with any dragon.
He ran from the safety of behind the tree, straight towards the Ysali. He threw the fireball, which actually landed it's hit, right in the Ysali's face. Another screech, vines sprouted from the feet of the Ysali and a hiss followed.
The vines came at him like a whip, slapping anywhere and everywhere they could. Vyren just swung his dagger around, slicing the vines anyway he could, and setting any on fire. By the time he had defeated the vines, the Ysali was gone.
"Why the hell do they keep running away!? UGH!" a very disappointed and angered Dovaa called out in despair. He was done for the day, he needed to tend to his new bruises and rest. Luckily no permanent damage was done via the vines. He was just having a bad hunting day.323 Words
