[ What does Prerelease Rules mean ] ?: These are the OFFICIAL rules of the event! However all the links listed are invalid as the event has not started. All the areas mentioned are not valid as the event has not started. This is simply to give you a preview of all the rules of the event so you can read them and acquaint yourself with them prior to the event. This is an open world where all players can RP as they please. Of course, with the potential volume of players, RP may get confusing as to whom everyone is! Make sure in every single rp post you use this rp form. This is OUTSIDE of battle. There is another form to use if you are in battle. This is to help us streamline our process and make things easier for everyone else! - ICly your character DOES NOT recognize anyone else, as you have "usernames". This protects their identity. Their faces MAY look similar to who they are in reality but the dreamscape protects and skews their image. They may look more glorified than they actually are or more pale in comparison. They may look like their favourite hero, actor, an idol, or even just a flat slate. They might gain features they don't actually have in reality or be taller or more muscular or even have wings as their ideal dream self. Players are earthbound, they cannot fly, even with wings. They have no special abilities other than their given MMO ones. - Characters must be humanoid and fit the puppet model in basic shape. This makes them slightly "marionette" looking. The strings are invisible during gameplay. - It is up to you whether or not you want to reveal your identity to other players, just like any other game. Just like Gaia itself. - Make sure when rping with someone to quote them. This lets them know you are addressing them! At the bottom of each of your rp posts when entering a thread, please post this form! This is common courtesy - you don't have to post it every single time, but if you're interacting with new characters it's good to introduce your character to them! Game chat can be conducted by targeting players in private chats or publicly. All chat is default public chat and can be heard by all users within the zone. When speaking a prompt, the AI will recognize it. Speaking a chat prompt will not register as public chat.

All players of the Red Queen faction bear the mark of the Red Queen. Any fragments they collect will go to the Red Queen's side. At the very end of the tournament, if the Red Queen's side has more fragments, they will be crowned the winning faction.
All players of the White Queen faction bear the mark of the White Queen. Any fragments they collect will go to the White Queen's side. At the very end of the tournament, if the White Queen's side has more fragments, they will be crowned the winning faction.
OOC: BOTH FACTIONS
Please note, what faction you are in depends on WHAT YOUR CHARACTER WAS QUOTED HERE. This will set their faction for the entire game. You CANNOT change factions. - Factions basically decide which team will end up as winners and losers. Think of it as some rivalry between the two teams! Faction members of different teams can still party and interact/fight with each other, but they cannot join the same guild. If your faction loses the tournament they will lose their home base, and during the final boss be extremely downpowered.
The Tournament is a passive effect that runs for four zones. You will be allowed to collect fragments until you reach last day of the final zone. At the end of the tournament/ last day, the team with the highest fragment collection will be crowned the winning side! The losing side will pay consequences. - Fragments can be obtained by participating in daily quests and side quests. They cannot be obtained by defeating enemy mobs.
OOC: FRAGMENTS AND YOU
- If your character wins any fragments, please drop them off IN THIS THREAD in order for it to be added to your faction's tally!
When you complete main or side quests you will gain EXP. It takes 100 EXP to level up.
When you hit level 25 your job class will be upgraded. You will also get to roll for three upgraded cards, get a special effect weapon, HP upgrade and gain a passive job ability.
OOC: LEVELS AND YOU
Please keep track in your [ BATTLE ENTRY LOG ] your current character's level. EXP calculation is pretty simple. For each 100 exp your character gains, they get a level up! Since we do require a TINY bit of effort from you, please do engage in some minor math to figure out your character's level. - All characters start off with 30 HP
Upgraded job class characters are allowed to wield and upgraded weapon. Their weapon depends on their ßπˆ®ˆ† å˜∂ ˙´å®†. You will also get to roll for three upgraded cards. - Upgraded (Job Class +) characters also get a special ability. - 40 HP base - Upgrading happens at the Lost Temple. Please partake in the quest once you are level 25 or higher.
OOC: JOB CLASS UPGRADE
When your character is ready to upgrade, please go to the Lost Temple thread HERE and follow the instructions to upgrade. It involves a small IC quest and once you are done, just follow the OOC instructions in that thread and congratulations! - You can only do this when your character is level 25 and higher.
Making a party may benefit your team members to be able to chat outside of a large group. Party members that fight mobs together will get to share the loot with each other. You may disband parties once you have finished fighting any mobs or bosses. A party may have a max of 5 team members
OOC
Parties are pretty much only useful when you are fighting a mob in various zones. All mob encounters should be done IN THIS SUBFORUM. Make sure you read the zone rules first on how to fight in a party! When your character joins other characters to fight a mob by making a [ BATTLE ] thread in that subforum, it is automatically considered a "party". You are also free to fight mobs solo if you wish. - Parties are non faction specific. Opposing members of opposite factions (WHITE AND RED) can indeed ally themselves with each other to take down mobs for loot.
Guilds can only be formed from those in your same faction (Red Queen OR White Queen). A guild must have a minimum of three people. A guild is used as a way to chat with other players who are not in the same zone as you. Only guild members can trade cards with each other. - You must register at the GUILD HALL to make a guild.
OOC: THE GUILD HALL
- Go to to register a guild. You need three other users to co-sign. Basically one player should go in and ICly summon their friends and then use the GUILD HALL form to register. Their friends should then sign the form as well. Once this has been done, a guild has been formed. - You can also make your own guild banner. What GUILD your player is in will show up as part of their player information when a player is on map. - Players may LEAVE a guild at any time without penalty and JOIN another guild. Remember this is all IC so whatever feels comfortable!
At the last boss run, your secret card, the tenth sealed card, will be revealed. This is unique to each player. It represents ¥ø¨® ˙´å®†. Cherish it, for it will turn the tide of battle
- Each zone or area you will be exploring (starting with the first area) will have Main Quests and Side Quests. The Main Quests are the important questline for your characters, they help your character progress and level up to visit new areas. The side quests are optional but also yield EXP and cards. Quests are the ONLY way to get fragments.
Along with Quests, you will also encounter enemy mobs. Enemy mobs will also drop cards but they do not yield fragments. Fight mobs to find exclusive, rare cards with high stats and potentially gain EXP.
While the main quest paths are interesting, you are also free to roam the entire area as you wish, and discover as you need. Interactions with players are as important as interactions with content!
OOC: PRPS
You may indeed create prps with other users! Just do so in the main subforum where the events are going on. PRPs cannot be battles (or else they are in the battle subforum) and they cannot be main or side quests, which happen in their respective threads). PRPs are just a chance for characters to talk to each other, figure things out, ask about each other, explore the world and setting, what have you. If you want to battle PRP you can do so in the battles subforum while fighting mobs HERE.

PRERELEASED CARD BATTLES AND INFORMATION
Let us now talk about the Card Battle System. All enemy encounters in this game are fought with the Card Battle System. Don't worry too much about damage calculation, I will explain this later with our damage calculator. This is just a breakdown of what cards are and how to keep/ organize and archive them!
Your main deck consists of nine cards. This is the deck you will be using for battles. Cards not used in the main deck are stored away in your side/storage deck. Each card is given a rank and a statistic. Rank is at the top of the card. Statistics are at the bottom of the card. Statistics are broken into four categories: ATTACK, DEFENSE, HEAL, or LUCK.
Your side deck is simply your storage/extra cards. These are cards you have obtained over progress in game by defeating monsters or completing side quests. All cards you win automatically go to your side deck as you can only have 9 cards in your MAIN deck at a time. You may swap over side deck cards at any point in time between battles. It means you can rearrange your deck in your log even if you are in battle but you YOU CANNOT SWAP YOUR DECK WHILE IN BATTLE. Once you start a new battle, you can use your new rearranged deck for that fight, even if you are in progress in another fight with an old version of your deck! Side deck progress is kept in your [ BATTLE ENTRY LOG ]
Cards can only be swapped of the same rank number. It doesn't matter what type of statistic the card has, it only has to have the SAME RANK NUMBER. You also of course need to own this card.
You cannot swap over cards of different ranks. This would cause rank duplicates in your main deck and that is a no! TIP: When you have obtained a new card don't forget to add it to your BATTLE ENTRY LOG.
[ RANK ] All cards have a rank. The numbers range from 1 - 9. This represents the ORDER it has in your deck. A card ranked 9 is the 9th card in your deck. A card ranked 1 is the first card in your deck. A card ranked 2 is the second, a card ranked 3 is the third, all the way up to 9th. You can only have one card of each rank.
You cannot have multiple cards of the same rank in your main deck. It means you need to have one card of each rank: rank 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
When you are in battle, you will be rolling 3d10 on your turn. That is three 10-sided dice. Your dice rolls correspond to your card's rank. So for example, if you roll 2, 4, 5 cards ranked 2, rank 4, and rank 5 from your main deck will be chosen, as indicated in the orange box in the above diagram. You will apply the stats of those cards for that turn as indicated in the green box. If you roll 2, 3, 3, you will pick cards ranked 2, 3 and then rank 3 again (doubles). Once again you must have 9 cards in your main deck to play or you will be disqualified. If you roll a 10 that is considered a miss. I means you don't get a card for each 10 you roll, so rolling a 2, 5, 10 would equal the RANK 2 card in your main deck, the RANK 5 one and then a MISS. - Now let's talk about STATISTICS.
- Attack cards do damage to opponents. The higher your attack card, the more damage you do! They are characterized by saying ATTACK at the bottom. The number next to the ATTACK is the damage you do with the card. So if your card you roll says ATTACK 4, you do 4 damage with that card. - Keep in mind as you roll for three cards this round, it is possible to for example, roll ATTACK 2 and ATTACK 5. That means you do 2+5 = 7 damage TOTAL this round. - Reminder! The RANK at the top of the card represents the dice roll. That means in order for me to get this ATTACK card in the image above, I must have rolled a 2 as one of my 3 10-sided dice. This card must be in my MAIN DECK.
- Defense cards protect you OR another player from damage. The higher your defense card, the more defense you do! They are characterized by saying DEFENSE at the bottom. The number next to the DEFENSE is the defense you do with the card. So if your card you roll says DEFENSE 3, you defend for 3 damage. - The damage defended is effective your next turn or the next turn of the person you are defending. Make sure to quote the user. - Keep in mind as you roll for three cards this round, it is possible to for example, roll DEFENSE 2 and DEFENSE 5. That means you do 2+5 = 7 defense TOTAL this round. You cannot partition defense. That means EITHER you defend yourself for 7 or you defend someone else for 7. You cannot defend yourself for 2 and someone else for 5 on the same turn for example. - Reminder! The RANK at the top of the card represents the dice roll. That means in order for me to get this DEFENSE card in the image above, I must have rolled a 8 as one of my 3 10-sided dice. This card must be in my MAIN DECK.

You cannot heal yourself for 2 and someone else for 5 on the same turn for example. - Reminder! The RANK at the top of the card represents the dice roll. That means in order for me to get this HEALS card in the image above, I must have rolled a 3 as one of my 3 10-sided dice. This card must be in my MAIN DECK.
- Luck cards are very special cards indeed. If you roll a luck card the number after LUCK is the MULTIPLIER you do for another card you rolled THIS TURN. So if you rolled LUCK 2 and then ATTACK 1, ATTACK 5, you may choose to multiply either the attack 1 or attack 5. So instead of doing 5 damage this round, you do 10 damage OR 2 damage. If this there was a heal card you would choose attack OR heals, etc etc. It is up to you which one but you can only pick one card you rolled that turn to use.
- If you roll MORE than one luck card in the same turn however, they become void. That means they do not do anything, just like rolling a 10. It is a bit of a gamble! - So for example, if you roll 2, 4, 5 and RANK 2 is a luck card, RANK 5 is an attack card that does 5 attack, and RANK 4 is a luck card, you only do 5 attack this turn and that is it. The two luck cards cancel each other out and are not activated! .

Enemy encounter! Let us do battle with the card battle system in mind! It is time to initiate battle mode!
Assemble a Main Deck. Keep track of your main deck in your gaia_crown[ BATTLE ENTRY LOG ]. Now from your BATTLE ENTRY LOG copy and paste the contents of your Main Deck into OOC of your post and make your attack/defense/heals post in the thread. It should look something like this:

Don't forget to EDIT YOUR POST. Make the RP meaningful. Usually, to help other players who are waiting on you, please RP your post AFTER you have done damage calculation. Let us go to damage calculation then! Battle posts MUST have RP to qualify, even if it is just a couple of lines!
All right, let's take a look at my dice rolls. Now it is time to initiate project MOB DAMAGE CALCULATOR, because yes, the person who created this system is not above creating a calculator just for the card system that possibly took way too many ungodly hours so she is forcing everyone to use it now.
Load the page exclaimBATTLE DAMAGE CALCULATOR HERE. First thing you'll see is a very daunting looking page which isn't that bad, but looks daunting because forms.
Okay, let's go from top to bottom. - First, the easy part. Input the boss's HP. Take the last Boss HP value of the person above you. Insert it into CURRENT BOSS'S HP . - Next, post your current HP. - Then post the damage you took or the auto damage from the boss. Auto damage means the damage the boss or mob automatically does. If there is no auto damage just leave it blank. - Lastly, if you defended yourself last turn or were defended by another player, you can insert the defense. If this is not applicable just leave it blank.
So far it should look like this, assuming the boss's HP from the person above me is 100 HP, my HP is 30, auto damage done from boss is 5, and I was defended for 5 last round:
Now, let's check my Gaia rolls that I did when posting that post. I rolled 3, 8 and 4. Let's pull out those corresponding cards by matching it to my OOC post:
Each card has an order. The first one rolled is the [ First Dice Stat ], the second is the [ Second Dice Stat ], the third is the [ Third Dice Stat ].
Since I rolled a 3 first, let us look at my rank 3 card, the [ First Dice Stat]:
This is an attack card. I am going to select ATTACK as the first dice type. For it's value, I will put in 4 as it is 4 damage done. Next I will select a target. An attack's target is always the boss. Defense and heals cannot target the boss. So it should look like this:
Next I rolled a 8, let us look at my rank 8 card, the [ Second Dice Stat]:
This is a luck card. I am going to select LUCK as the second attack dice. For it's value, I will put in 2 as it is a x2 multiplier. For luck cards, I do not need to select a target. Just select whatever. So it should look like this:
Lastly I rolled a 4, let us look at my rank 4 card, the [ Third Dice Stat]:
This is a attack card. I am going to select attack as the third attack dice. For it's value, I will put 4 for 4 attack. Once again, select boss as the target. So it should look like this:
All right, you are almost done. Trust me, once you get the hang of this, things will be so much easier. It's also very iphone/android friendly since all you need to do is input values and copy/paste. Anyway, at the very bottom of the form there is a thing that says USE LUCK ON. In this situation my [ Second dice Stat ] was my luck dice. That means I can use luck on my [ First dice stat ] or my [ Third dice stat ]. - If I do not have a Luck card this turn, I would hit not applicable. - Since they are both 4 attack it doesn't matter. I'm just going to select the first one.
Okay I can finally hit the stupid submit form! Let's do this! Remember if you make a mistake you can always hit the back button and try again! I hit mine and it looks like:
You can read the stats if you want, otherwise just take the form that was generated and copy and paste it. REPLACE it with what you currently have in your OOC post. Make sure however that you still have your card images for your main deck. If should look something like this:

OOC: YOUR AVATAR/ APPEARANCE
- Your avatar is basically a "puppet" version of what your character would look like. Feel free to interpret this as you please. The strings are hidden. - Your avatar can be any size but must remain humanoid. They can take on a variety of shapes but must remain humanoid. The don't need to look exactly like a puppet, the shapes and joints etc etc can be hidden! The only unifying theme and identifying factor that your character is a puppet is the puppet strings which are hidden at all times anyway. All mobs and opponents you encounter in this MMO are also marionette themed. The entire "style" of this dream is marionette puppet/stage themed. - Don't worry this isn't actually you, it's just a rendition of what your character looks like! - As this is the dream world, sometimes your characters may take liberties to glorify themselves. Feel free to add wings, halos, tails, etc etc to your puppet version. You cannot fly however, or have any special abilities other than the given MMO ones - No weapons other than the given MMO ones are allowed - Reapers and Hunters can HEAR their familiar/weapons but they cannot summon them - On top of your puppet form you will need to choose a JOB CLASS. This dictates approximately what your character is wearing. Additional items you want on your character cannot affect the job class clothing. That means wings go on top, or a halo over the head, but you cannot add a cape or extra belts etc to a job class outfit. Please only use extra accessories on top of the puppet form from the allowed accessories list. These can be of any colour. - Allowed accessories list: Wings (any size, but no larger than the puppet, only two pairs allowed), horns (any size reasonable, max four/ two sets), claws, tail (up to six tails max), spines, shadow "arms" (a spare set of arms that act like a shadow in form, feathers, skin/ tattoo/ body mods such as scars and scales/ etc, a halo, hooves instead of regular feet, pawed feet/arms are okay, anthro is okay as long as it looks humanoid in apperance/shape, a simple necklace, earings, hair pieces, any hair extensions/mods/clips/headbands.
Now you will need to Select a Job class! Please select one of the job classes as listed below. This will be your starting character's role. The Job Class you select will determine your starting deck of cards as well as your clothing appearance. Make sure to note what your cards do! Just a note that the only colours that are IC to this event are the colours that show up on this page and the colours on the default. Any combination of the colours using the job class dressup doll is fine! Simply take a screenshot and it will be considered canon for the event!
gaia_crown[ SPECIAL MINIPET UNLOCK: ] A special minipet has been unlocked! This is an event specific minipet which you can use in battles during the event as well as summon a minipet to follow you outside of battle as a vanity pet! You can only summon one at a time. Only event minipets can be used (SEE BELOW). You will need a minipets account to claim this pet, it's pretty simple and only takes a minute to register here! This is entirely OPTIONAL, but we want to give players optional access to all aspects of TiH for this event and that included minor minipet integration!
gaia_crown[ Minipet Familiars: ] Minipet familiars are summonable in game. You may win them by participating in quests or fighting monsters! Some rarer monsters drop rarer minipet variations.
Minipets in obtained and won in Wonderland are semi-intelligent constructs but they cannot talk. They will follow basic commands such as sit and fetch this item and attack, etc. They are only one foot tall in height (up to your calves)! They will always follow your character and trail behind you passively.
OOC: MINIPETS AND YOU
Once you win them you will need to drop them off in the MINIPET REDEEM THREADHERE. They will be GIVEN the minipet on site. This means you may now use it in battles and any threads during the Wonderland event! Different minipet have different stat bonuses! Check out the minipet familiars glossary HERE! This is once again OPTIONAL and not having a minipets/minipets account will not subtract from your meta experience.
This is optional content. If you do NOT have a minis account you do not need to do this part! However it is very fun to do so if you wish to, and it only takes a second to sign up with a minipets account HERE. This is just a fun way of implementing our site feature onto the event for the event minis prizes we usually give out! Don't forget to log all your minipet collections in your gaia_crown[ BATTLE ENTRY LOG ]
You may only summon one minipet at a time for EACH battle. You can summon different minipets in different battles. They also follow you outside of battles wherever you go until you desummon them, just one at a time. They also give a small boost in stat during enemy battles! Each minipet has a different stat boost. Rarer ones have higher boosts. Think of them like familiars in RO/ mini pets in WoW/ familiars in Maple Story!
OOC: MINIPETS IN BATTLE
When fighting a boss, they will show up in your BATTLE DAMAGE CALCULATOR if you have a minipet in your account. Simply select AT THE VERY BOTTOM which one you want to summon to attack! Remember it is one PER battle! You may use it once per turn. Please only summon one if you actually own it/ it is sent to your account. Only minipets from this event work, tl;dr any you win from this event!
