The gaming on her desktop, as such she decided to head to the nearest internet café. The place would provide her with internet should she require it, but the connection was bad enough to make her rage when she gamed which technically was a good thing if she wanted to get anything done on time. She’d also be able to grab something to drink and eat because she was pretty sure she wasn’t going to eat if she went home. Either way, Nailah went in, ordered herself a muffin and hot chocolate and selected a table by the window to settle down near. Her laptop was good enough to model and render any 3D she needed to do. Today felt like a good day.
Time moved by faster than expected, a few more times Nailah got up to grab something to drink and then had a cheese croissant for dinner. She was still distracted a bit by social networks, but none the less got most of her homework done by the time an employee came around and told her it was close to closing time. A quick look at the clock on her screen told her it was close to ten and that she should probably head home at this point. Saving her work, Nailah got off her stool and stretched a bit, covering her mouth with her hand when she yawned and got to packing. It was already dark outside from the looks of it, but she didn’t mind walking home for a little bit.
Nailah exited the internet café and stretched once more just to crack all her muscles. She chuckled at the thought of doing this more often if she actually wanted to get work done and began to make her way back home. Her mind was already on tonight’s raid and what they’d be up against while strategizing for the boss fights, she never noticed the guy following her until he grabbed onto her shoulder bag and shoved her into an alley way. “Hey!” She yelled grabbing onto her laptop bag while trying to fend off the attacker, she was trying to kick him while pulling and it wasn’t working. The guy was relentless and he was lucky she wasn’t powered because she really would have beat him up!

Even though his own days of testing was over.. Ulane STILL hated it. As much as students hated taking them, he hated grading then. There was nothing in the world that could kill his soul faster than watching a child hand him a test with a shaking hand, knowing that they did terribly. Testing was such a... Such a terrible way of assessing a child's knowledge. How can you test someone with a piece of paper,and not understand the proper application of such knowledge in a real world basis. But he was only the T.A., he had no say in what could or couldn't.. What should or shouldn't be tested.
Test after test was graded, and before he even realized it, the sun had long since set, and the night wind blew far more harshly than he thought was going to happen.. And Maia had already warned him not to go out so late.. Just watch, he could feel her judging eyes on him already. But he had mace, and his umbrella club. and his fists. He should be fine. Just fine. There wasn't a fear creeping in his mind at all.
Not even half an hour into his journey home he turned onto a short cut street that he sometimes took on colder days. It was normally such a peaceful walk, but tonight, right before his eyes a man, a grown man was assaulting a young woman as she came from inside of the local cafe.
There was no second thought in his mind as he charged the man, grabbing his houlder, his fingers digging into the nerve there, and forcing the man to the ground, and moving his foot onto the man's throat, not pressing down completely, but with enough force that the man could not move.
People standing by at this point had pulled their phones out, calling the police, but for now, Ulane had this man.
"Are you alright?" He addressed the young woman who had been the victim of such an event.

It was happening so fast, there she was having a power struggle with a dark stranger who wanted to rob her and the next some guy had come out of nowhere and was holding the guy down. Wow, what a great Dark Mirror Senshi she made. Nailah felt like the biggest embarrassment to her court at the moment even if the event had happened as a civilian. She was really going to have to take up some sort of lethal fighting style so such a thing couldn’t repeat itself in her future, plus she foresaw a couple of late nights not just for homework and she would not, ever, let anyone else try to rob her.
“I’m fine!” Nailah breathed in, hand on her chest as she felt her heat beating rapidly. “I’m really glad you showed up when you did though.” She was seriously going to have to thank him when the cops came around. Grabbing her cellphone out of her pocket, Nailah dialed for the cops and gave them the information they needed. The dispatcher told her the police had already been notified, probably by the group of people gathering and filming the whole thing around them, so all she had to do was wait. “Thank you…” She wasn’t sure if she should extend her hand out to him considering he was holding the guy, so she didn’t. “What’s your name? I’m Nailah.”
Thankfully, they didn’t have to wait long because the police showed up a few moments later to take the man away and take her statement. “Hey, you mind waiting up on me? I know it’s late but I’d really like to thank you and I’d love to know where you got those moves from!” She was much more interesting in finding out where he’d gotten his skills than thanking him, but it was probably best to thank him first before engaging on fighting styles and such. Nailah went to give her statement, glancing once in a while to see if the guy was still there, hopefully he wasn’t batman in disguise! Catching the robger and than vanishing into the night.

"Sure thing, sure thing, as long as you're alright!"It was such a relief when the police officers finally showed up, and Ulane could take his foot away from the man's throat. Though it wouldn't look it, it was hard to keep balance for so long! he had to make sure he didn't shift his weight at all, less too much pressure would be applied, and the man would have his esophagus smashed. His crime wasn't terrible enough to warrant such a thing in Ulane's opinion ( you never know what kinds of trouble a person has that could invoke such behavior), but he still hoped that the boy, while being led off in handcuffs, would learn a lesson from all of this.
He would be lying if he didn't say he was pleasantly surprised at the girl's calm demeanor throughout this whole ordeal. If anything she seemed more excited than anything else, and that made the young man question her. If she were so calm.. Would she be one of those powered folk too? Or, much more likely, she was just someone who handled fear very very well, which would be something to be proud of!
"My name's Ulane. I would say it was a pleasure to meet you, but under such circumstances, I'm not sure if by saying that I'd be entirely truthful." Despite that, he still smiled at the girl, who was now being pulled away by the police to discuss the situation, as he was too. Before he could say anything else, he gave her a quick nod, promising to stick around after their little interrogation. He was certain he wasn't about to press charges on the young man, but it was up to Nailah to decide on what to do next. For now, he would wait and see about her being free to chat more. No need to rush home, and he was fairly certain that young woman wouldn't really want to be alone right now either. Or maybe she did, he didn't know.

The police told her that if she wanted to press charges she’d have to return to the station with them to fill out some paper work. Nailah was not in the mood to file out anything and she doubted that Ulane would wait for her as well; it would be a waste of both of their time if she went with the police. So instead, she told them that she would not press charges. She’d go tomorrow with her grandfather and make sure things got filled out properly than. That way she’d get the two things she wanted and dind’t have to sacrifice one for the other.
Now free from the police, she waited until Ulane was free and then made her way over to him. “So,” she clasp her hands behind her back. “How about something to eat or drink to repay you for pretty much saving my life? I know a nice little place not too far from here that is open twenty four seven and makes a pretty awesome burger.” Oh lord, Nailah wanted to kick herself, she felt like she was asking him on a date and that was not her intentions. Still, couldn’t hurt to ask and she was kinda hungry after the debacle.

"A burger? Sure, why not, as long as you're up to it. And I wouldn't quiet say I saved your life... Maybe your wallet." He wasn't going to lie about the fact that he did infact, help her out of a rather uncomfortable situation, but to say he saved her life? That was a bit much.
"But are you sure you don't want to take it easy for a bit? Maybe going out right now isn't the best idea. Not saying you're not tough or anything! Just wondering if you might want some time to adjust to things. If not, then sure, I'm pretty hungry, I haven't had dinner just yet, so that sound amazing."
