Damocles was at it again, patrolling. And this time, he had managed to slip from the house with out promising his boyfriend anything. And that was only because the blonde senshi had waited until his partner had fallen asleep. He was going to be in some deep trouble later if Alistair was up when he got back. It had been a few weeks since the incident, and Damocles had seen hide, nore hair of the gingered Senshi, so he figured it was about time to try his old stomping grounds, albiet tentatively. He still had some reservations about going there.. But the Super knew he could easily call for help if he needed it. His feet touched down at the playground. It was empty of course, and he wasn't sure if he was glad about it or not. The swings creeked as they blew gently in the breeze, there was a dull thud from a see-saw as it bounced off the ground, but other then that. Everything apperened normal. Normal only lasted for so long. Machholz Today she was practically dancing. Why, one might ask? She got a promotion at her job, which meant more of her own money for her attempt to save up to get an apartment with Lila. Lila was the only one in the world who mattered to her at the moment. Once they got an apartment together they could actually be together, even when she wasn't off from work. Machholz could come home to her girlfriend and kiss her hello and they'd have cute dinners together.. Totally in the right mindset to henshin up and patrol. At least she was in a good mood until she felt a strange, but somehow familiar energy. Tilting her head to the side, the Order Senshi wandered towards the area and blinked as she stood on top of a jungle gym inside of some kids playground It was dark, only a street light off to each side of the fence lit this place up. Humming to herself, Maccholz put a hand on her hip. "Oooh, big tall man on a see saw." She laughed and grinned when she saw who it was, making her way over after jumping of the jungle gym. "Bet'cha can't balance in the center."

The blonde yelped, in surprise at the voice losing his initial balance. He flailed his arms for a moment he ultimately stumbled and fell from his perch. Damn it all. He scowled and turned, ready to tell whoever owned the voice to bugger off when he blinked in recognition. "Machholz." He greeted with a wave. "Sure I can." The blonde stated mater of factly. "The real question here is can you do it?" But to prove his point he clambered up onto the see-saw again and carefully took a stance in the center? "Did you want the cheaters way?" Damocles balanced in the center with his feet together. "Or legs apart?" A simple shift and the blonde stuck his tongue out. "Weeeell?" He singsonged as he gestured to the second see-saw. Machholz As he fell, Machholz winced first and then couldn't stop the laughter that came as he got back up, putting a thumbnail between her teeth. Sighing, she moved closer to him, hands going behind her back and just shrugged at his question. "Of course. I'm an ice skater. Balance is everything." Before he 'cheated', Machholz flashed him a cheeky grin and then snorted a little more. "Well, if you get down from there, I can prove how good my balance really is!" Both hands were on her hips now and just just gave him a playful little eye roll. "As the song goes, Damocles, anything you can do, I can do better."

"Ha ha. Laugh it up while you can." The blonde mumbled, with a 'dramatic' roll of his eyes. "Just cause you can balance on a blade doesn't mean you can balance on this." But the senshi complied and hopped down, even going as far as to bow, flourishing his arms to the side as if to silently say 'after you.' Then he snorted. "Right, because you were the one schooling me last time we met. I totally forgot that." He deadpanned. "You did soooo much better at that beating me then I did you." He tried not to grin. Really he did. Machholz When he hopped off and did his flourishing bow, Machholz curtsied back at him and then jumped up, taking a second to figure out the see-saw's center as well as her own. It wasn't as easy as she would have thought; the beam wasn't as wide as her feet, which was throwing her off. Putting her hands out in front of her, Machholz bent her knees and let out a loud squeak when she ended up falling backwards, managing to catch herself before she hit her bottom. "....You fell, too. So don't laugh" Her cheeks were red as she dusted herself off and examined the play ground equipment again. "Hm..."

Oh hell no. I saw you snicker at me. I totally get to laugh!" But, because she asked so 'nicely' he refrained from doing so. So much for that Ice skaters balance... "Hmm?" He echoed. "What are you thinking?" The blonde blinked and eyed the equipment over himself. ".... Please don't tell me you're wondering if I've booby trapped something." The senshi groaned. "I'm not that much of a jerk. This is a freaking play ground. I'm not going to attack kids!" Machholz "As a matter of fact," she said, stamping her foot a little before huffing. "I was seeing if you broke it somehow and that's how you were able to stay on it." Holding her arms out, she shrugged and then wandered closer. Now would be the perfect time to show him she had been practicing her attacks. She got close enough and quickly threw a punch, aiming for his stomach, more than anything, figuring if it did land he wouldn't be too hurt. She was hoping he'd be proud she was quicker, that she'd learned how to be a bit stealthy. Why? Well, he was actually a really cool guy and he had taught her things before. So he was kind of like her teacher.

"You got here a little after I did, so no. No I did not break it." He simply wouldn't have had the time. IF he was even up to that thing to begin with. "I'm tall, not... uh, heavy." ...Welp that sounded better in his head. Damocles made some pained sqwaking noise when Machholz threw the punch. "Now that was uncalled for." He squeaked between his teeth. But if she wanted to play, fine. Damocles grabbed her wrist and jerked her forward. "Lesson number one. Always be quick on the draw back. Never let your attack linger." Machholz So he called her fat? She'd get him later. When he grabbed her wrist and pulled her forward, Machholz grunted a bit and then twisted, kicking up her leg, wanting to distract him enough to jump back. "Got it. But you can't say I didn't catch you off guard. Keep your guard up, Damocles~" She said in a sing song voice, giggling a little more. "Now, I'm going to get you back for calling me heavy." With that, she started circling him, heels making soft noises on the ground. It was hard under them, compact from little kids running around on it all day.

"Yeah well, what did I tell you about letting them come to you?" He blinked curiously, wondering what she meant before it clicked. Oh. Oh he was in so much trouble. "I didn't mean YOU. It was... a figure of speech." He mumbled as he hopped out of the range of her kick. Too late, damage was done. He shot forward, grabbing a fist full of the collar at her shoulders, the only safe place TO grab. Damocles did not want to explain a hand sized mark on his face. Nope. "Now what?" He challenged. "How would you get out of this. Besides, flailing like a mad man and kicking." Machholz Machholz let out a noise as he moved out of her range and just narrowed her eyes. No, he wasn't playing right. Huffing slowly, she was about to jump back when her collar was grabbed and she made a choked noise. Of course she wasn't choking, it just aught her by surprise. "You never said I couldn't catch you by surprise," she murmured, huffing a little before she smirked and jumped upwards. Thank God for skating. She jumped and put her hands on his shoulders, flipping over him, and landed behind him with a light noise, a hand coming out to push him in the back. If he let go, she would put a foot to his back and give him a hard shove. "Mimicking television helped before!"

"True, but just remember that may come at a prize." Damocles' featured a confused look as she flipped over him and he just sort of... stared at where she was. "Welp... That's one way to do it.. But that's not what I meant. A for effort though." Then he wiggled his thumbs. "Thumbs. They are the weakest part of he hand. Take advantage of that if you can when you get grabbed. If you can get the get the thumb to go, you can get the rest off. Twist your body or whatever you can to break that." Machholz Thumbs? She tilted her head to the side and snorted. "That's really hard to believe." Thumbs were just thumbs. At least, that's what she thought. They couldn't be that important. People did things without thumbs all of the time. Narrowing her eyes a little, she held out her thumbs and gave him a 'come at me' sort of look before speaking. "Prove it. Because that sounds absolutely ridiculous."

"Think about it." He said as he walked up to her and took her wrist, curling her fingers around the edge of his coat. "When you grab someone, the thumb is the only one that doesn't curl in like the rest." Then he gave her hand a small jerk back to prove the point. "All your power lies in the other four. So if you can get the thumb to break contact you should be fine." Then he released her hand only to put it up on his throat before moving her other one. "Say you where choking me. Looks like I'm screwed right?" Damocles then took one of her left wrist in his hand before windmilling his other arm backwards. Once the arm was straight up in the air, he suddenly turned in the direction he held her wrist. "See how I'm using my arm to break what grip you have? And how it just slides of because there's nothing for the thumb to hold on to?" Then he made a small notion like he was going to ram his elbow in her face. Machholz She took his lessons seriously, watching, listening. This would be very useful information for later, for a real fight. She nodded a little and just gave a little appreciative noise. It made sens in theory and she could see it playing out in her head. Machholz was very impressed he knew all of this. She was going to ask how before she let out an indignant squawk at nearly being elbowed and pushed up on his elbow with his hand, her other hand coming out to shove into his side. "What was that for?!"

"You'll get it with practice. It can be tricky at times, because your moves can vary depending on where and how you get grabbed." Then he raised another curious brow, this time thoroughly confused. "...What was what for? The elbow?" He staggered slightly as she pushed him. "...Well how else would you go on the offensive. You realize, that if you did that to someone, you wouldn't even have to use that much force in your own attack. That person would be coming at you just from you knocking them off balance. So that's when you take that time to strike back." He said making another elbow gesture. Then he reached out with a foot and tapped his boot to her own. "Speaking of which... We need to work on your foot work.. Just a bit mind you." She was pretty spot on, but even the slightest movement could catch her off balance. Machholz "Yes, for the elbow. You startled me." She huffed a little and just rolled her eyes, cheeks flushing before dusting off her skirts. Of course Machholz was still listening to him, taking everything into consideration what he was saying. She wanted to take to this as seriously as she did skating. Clearly she needed to take some self defensive classes. The boot tap made her look down at her own posture before nodding again. "Right. I'm still working on getting used to this being sort of like what I do, but... not quite. I don't have the same momentum or the correct muscles built up quite yet... I ..may need to sign up for self defense classes on top of martial arts, don't you think?" Her feet shuffled a bit and she stood more balanced, but still trying to hold the grace she walked with. Something would have to be compromised, she had a feeling. "...Okay, so thumbs, are the weakest, and let your enemy come to you. I can do that. Where... did you learn all this again? You some kind of teacher?" She squinted at him before sighing. "Never mind."

Damocles just sighed, faking it a little just for the dramatics. "Believe what you must. I have no real way of proving, or disproving it anyway now do I? But I swear, I am not a teacher." If he was, he'd be the shyest teacher on record. "It is whatever you want it to be. If you want to spar then we can spar." The senshi backed up, taking a pose like hers, only mirrored. "As I recall, I believe you said something about winning the next time we saw each other any way..." Time to see what she had learned. Machholz "And I do plan on winning still," she said, humming a little more and then just grinned. She didn't move. She had to let him come to her, right? This might be the longest staring match in the world if they both stayed with his teachings. Clearing her throat a little, she bent her knees, like she as going to move first, but stayed still. "Well then, let's see how I've taken to your lessons."

"Aw, you're learning. I'm touched." He teased, as he took a rather large step into her personal space and threw a kick. "Remember, if you use you're arms or legs to block don't let it linger. Block and back to the starting position." Then the blonde switched his footing and threw a few punches in a quick sucession. "If you time it right, you can literally just push a punch away from your face. Think of it like tapping it out of the way." Machholz She used an arm, pushing his leg out of the way and pulled her arm back like he'd said. Don't let it linger. And then he switched feet and threw in some punches and she used her hands to push kicks and punches away as best as she could before side stepping and throwing a kick, followed by a punch. She had her leg twisted in a familiar way from hen she was about to make a big jump in the ice. But this wasn't the ice. Her eyes narrowed a little, waiting to see what he did, trying to not let anything linger. She had to be a quick study.

"Use your knees to block a kick too. It's a little awkward if you're still learning to get the hang of your balance. But I think you've got the general idea so..." When her leg twisted he actually jumped back and away. The blonde may not know much, if anything at all, about ice skating, but he remembered the kick from last time and that was enough to put him on edge. Machholz Knees. Right. But then he jumped back and she blinked a little, pulling her leg back towards herself and just moved in. No quarter. She threw a punch at his stomach, another at his side. Combos were good. More than one attack. She had to make sure not to linger. That's where she got in a lot of trouble. "Hope I'm doing better than expected!

Damocles missed the punch to his stomach but caught the one aimed at his side. "Try not to break me too much." He said with a grunt. "I don't want to have to explain why I'm covered in scratches. But, you're getting better at this. Which is quite impressive for only two lessons." Machholz She couldn't help but laugh at that and jumped and held her hands in front of her like he'd put her when they'd started this. Taking a few deep breaths, Machholz shivered and grinned, eyes lighting up with a rush. She was tired again, but it was a good tired. They'd trained and she once again felt productive. "Hopefully there'll be more," she chimed. "But.. You're right. I don't wan to have to explain anymore bruises to someone either. We should stop.... At least for now."

"You're cold." He noted, fully thankful for his sleeves. "I'd give you something.. but.." He shrugged, gesturing to his outfit.. "I don't think my sash will do any good this time. Go home and get warm Maccholz." They could do this again another time. "Perhaps next time we can really spar... And in a proper area." He laughed. "Who knows. Maybe you'll teach me something." Machholz "A proper area. We meet up in the most random places," she chimed, humming a little more. Starting to back away from him, Machholz gave the other a wink before turning on her heel. "I'll send you to your lover crying next time~" It was a very empty threat that was meant to be funny. With a click of her heels, Machholz was once more on a building. "Until then, try ice skating!" And she was gone into the night, heading back the way she'd come. All in all, the Senshi of Poison was glad it was another quiet night.
