~{
Experiments }~

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

On an uncharted, man-made island in the Atlantic Ocean, a project is taking place. Human genetic manipulation is being conducted for military applications. Hoping to create superhuman soldiers for the next generation of warfare, various corporations in secret conjunctions with United States Military, have created this island and began their workings.

The Experiments are in their third generation of testing. The first generation being all but extinguished, the second still being tested upon, and a new batch of 'recruits' is just getting out of gene therapy. It's a rather exciting time for most of the Experimentals. We are getting some new faces and, to some, friends, maybe more. To me it changes little.

I should clarify to those reading this journal, I'm Experimental Subject # 8, or Abel if you prefer names. I'm the last of the first generation of experiments, and the author of these pages. I hope to let those who read this know our story, what we are, what we've done, and who we've become. These are our chronicles, the chronicles of the Experimentals.

-[ Background and Setting ]-

We'll start from the beginning, at least what I know as the beginning. This island facility has been around for about 30 years. For the first 15 years nothing aside from the DNA ground work was done. About 5 years after that they brought in the first batch of test subjects. I was brought in when I was 8 years old, and the other nine subjects were of varying ages. The first five years were horrible. We were treated as nothing more than caged animals. Tested daily, sequestered from each other, poked, prodded, injected, cut up, and cut apart. There was little sympathy for us as human beings.

These conditions eventually led to the deaths of all the originals, except me, within 4 years. Some were euthanized, some ended up killing themselves, and the gene therapy simply ate away at the others. One thing came from that, the change in policy toward us. We were given more than cages. They supplied us with basic needs and social environments. They constructed a gym, decent living quarters, and a common area. By the time the second batch of test subjects were brought in, I was much less frequent to violent tendencies and my survival rate increased dramatically.

Having improved their techniques and medical advancements, we as subjects survived and thrived. However, one thing hadn't changed, their safety measures. No Experiments are ever allowed in past the labs on the first floor. These lead to the outside facilities, which I haven't seen for ten years. All exits are enforced lethally. The most definitive defense though, subjects are genetically modified to need weekly supplements of plasma, or our bodies begin to break down slowly and painfully. This is to keep the powers they gave us in check, and keep us agreeable.

Considering I have been here the longest, I took the time to map out the facilities as they are now. Here is my rough sketch of the place we live in. Mind you I can't remember the first floor so it's only our living area.

Current Setting: The Island Facility

The Facility is under ground and has two floors.
The First Floor (top floor) is the Main Floor, including Labs, Testing Area's, Employee Offices, and Exits.
The Second Floor (bottom floor) is the Experiment's Floor, including Living Quarters (dual bunked, except for a few), Gym and Swimming Pool, Locker/Shower rooms, Cafeteria, and Local Infirmary

- Experiments are not allowed above ground or past the Entrance Hall Elevators, unless going to Testing or Lab areas upon request. -

-[ Rules ]-

1: Follow Gaian TOS please

2: I, and my designated mods, are the authority. We will discuss everything before a verdict. That being said follow the rules and you'll be fine. I'm no tryant.

3: This is semi-lit to lit type of rp. As long as its at least one to two paragraphs I'm not picky. Please no overly decorated posts. I can't do them, and I don't expect them. Sure a picture and some fancy lettering here or there, but please no going overboard. I prefer words over style.

4: Romance and fighting are encouraged, but keep it within reason. Any erotica take it to pm or somewhere else.

5: Please PM me, or my designated mods, your profiles with "The Experiments" in your header.

6: This is a Chapter Based rp. Meaning when the next chapter is to start a notice will be posted, and an event started. The new chapters will come out when I feel we're ready to move on. Chapter 1 is basically and introduction and relation building chapter. Chapter 2 will be more story driven.

7: No killing another character without their permission, and they must tell me themselves they are okay with it by PM.

8: Please only one Experiment character per player, at least until Chapter 3. And one power to each experiment. The genetic research level of the Facility isn't advanced enough to supply two, without killing the host.

9: There will only be a max of 21 Experiment characters to start with. Might change for later Chapters. There is only one surviving of the original 10, my character, and has been there for 10 years. #11-20 are the second generation, and have been here for 5 years. #21-30 are the third generation, and are just out of gene therapy, meaning they are totally new to the facility, and their powers.

10: Have you read the rules? Well then put a "88" two lines below your profile before you submit it to tell me you have

11: I reserve the right to change or add rules as we go. There will be a notice first in the Other section

-[ Profiles ]-

Our powers vary, but are always within certain categories: Strength, Mental, and Stealth. I'm a part of the Strength category. Now starting with Experimental Subject # 11, the powers grew more detailed, and less general, pertaining to specific situations that could spring up in the field of combat. Still our powers have also started to evolve and change, "Thanks to the diversity of the human genome", or so I'm told.

I guess I should elaborate a bit.
Strength Types are Experiments that have some sort of physical advantage. They have improved strength, speed, sight, that kind of thing.
Mental Types have something to do with brain power. I have seen a few with forms kinesis like pyrokinesis, metalkinesis, and even being able to activate the regenerative cells in themselves and others; healing basically.
And Stealth Types are made to be more or less assassins. Like a type of invisibility, stick to walls, that kind of thing. Usually these experiments are carefully watched for obvious reasons.

Here is a list of the important people, both Experiments and Others there are so far:

Gaian Name:

Name and Number: (If your a regular human please just name)

Age:

Gender:

Looks: (a picture please)

Powers: (Think specifically, and military application wise. Remember you can only have one, but powers can warp and evolve. And try to be diverse, lets not all have Strength Types)

Personality:

Background:

Other: (Anything else you may wanna note)

:Example:

Gaian Name: John Doe 42

Name and Number: John, Experiment # 14

Age: 30

Gender: Male

Looks: John

Powers: Stealth Type. Adaptive Camouflage. Skin secretes a film that reflects whats around it and near it onto the skin.

Personality: A slightly outgoing and optimistic person. However being brought into project his optimism dropped slightly. Still he prefers to be social and likes to occasionally play pranks.

Background: Brought into the program at the age of 20, he was a transient on the streets until picked up and taken away at random. Given his status as a bum he was happy to be given roof and food, however he had no idea that it would lead to almost 10 years of experiments and isolation.

Other: (Anything else you may wanna note)

It was so confusing. She hated this moving. Everything was different. Why was everything different? Why did everything have to change? She hated this moving. Mouth dry, her violet eyes flicked rapidly from place to place, absorbing every visual detail there was to inspect. This building was new. Why was it new? She remembered visions of being transported via boat to this island and, under heavy guard and precaution, she and others were escorted to...here. She did not understand why she was here.

Her mouth was dry and she scowled slightly in discomfort, licking her lips repeatedly until her lips were beginning to chap. One of the doctors, no *her* doctor, held a glass of water up for her and she took it, drinking eagerly, her eyes still roaming all around, her mind abuzz with new information. Calculations of volume within this new facility, calculated down to the cubic centimeter. Of course she could either add in or leave out all the people, objects, and furniture if she liked. The 33rd ceiling tile alone had 10,038 pock marks in it though, she counted, and she decided that Michael would praise her if she left out adding every small air space each and every one of them contained.

Mikey. Where was he. She held her breath for a moment and her drink slipped from her lips, to spill cool water all over her bare ankles and slippered feet. She didn't notice. Images danced in her head in full 3D high resolution of the doctors separating them as they arrived here. Michael had been put into the room two doors down the hallway. He would have been looked over by his own doctor. She remembered that. She had heard them talking about it to each other. The doctors hadn't seemed aware that she had been listening in, but she had never stopped listening. Recording.

Her doctor was kneeling as he talked to her, and she recorded him picking up her plastic cup. She wasn't listening. Something was wrong with his face. He was twisting it. Wait no. She stared hard at his face, watching his lips form shapes, feeling the almost nonexistent breeze of his voice on her lily white skin. His face was...showing concern? It was hard to understand, but that was what a face did with concern. If she forgot then Michael would be sad again. He touched her face then, brushing some of her wiry black hair out of her eyes. She jolted and stepped back as if she had been slapped. What was he doing!? That's right. He was talking to her. She needed to answer.

She breathed out, the air that she had been holding in for so long was hot and tasted stale. She breathed in again and out, relaxing herself as she reprocessed his sounds into words. The air here smelled different though. It was warmer, and had more humidity. Salty. It was going to rain today. No. Focus. Words. 28 million, 3 hundred, 85 thousand, and 97 cubic centimeter's of unfamiliar air existed in just this room alone. That was not including space occupied by objects or people, nor did it include the pock marks in the ceiling tile. He was waiting for her answer. He was staring at her silently. Focus. Breath. What did he say?

"Cheza. Are you feeling okay after the trip? Cheza, that's alright, can you give me a nod? Are you thirsty? Dan, fill one of those plastic cups? She might be a bit dehydrated. Yes. Thanks. That's a good girl. Finish that up for me. Ah! Towels? Do we have towels? Never mind. Cheza, You've gotta talk, hun. We've got to finish your last physical. Answer me. Are you feeling okay? Do you have any headaches? Any muscle weakness? O GENKI DESU KA?" he was over pronouncing the words.

He was still staring at her. She stared at him back, her eyes avoiding his, instead focusing on a missing stitch in the collar of his shirt. A defect. a deformation of pattern. It bugged her. Her doctor sighed and got up from his kneeling position.

"We're not going to be getting anything. She's too overloaded right now. Let's let her settle in for the day and then we can finish this tomorrow." The other man nodded. Dan. She just realized that she had never met him before. She swallowed, and licked her lips. Her doctor touched her shoulder and pressed her gently towards the door. Automatically, Cheza began following him as he led her to an elevator door. They went down and he nudged her again when the door opened. She walked out. The doors closed behind her. The man was gone. She hated this moving.

#8 / Abel Wallace

Today was the day. The day the newest experimental subjects arrived. They would be coming down one at a time, and he was to be there to give them the rundown. There was nothing quite like trying to explain the situation the newbies found themselves in whilst they were still reeling from their new found powers. Some took it better than others, most didn't. Especially the children.

*DING*

Here we go. Abel was leaning against the wall next to the elevator, arms crossed, and making sure to be nose deep in his little brown book. Others had passed him, most ignored him, just as he did. They all new what today was, but they knew better than to huddle around the elevator waiting to try and welcome a potentially dangerous, most likely distraught, newcomer. They had been through it themselves, and it was always Abel who was there to greet the new ones. Had been for five years, and probably would be until one of a few things happened.

Abel softly shut the book in his right hand, and placed it in his back pocket. The potted plant next to him held on its rim a clipboard, with all the new arrivals dossiers on it. No background, but abilities, age, sex and name were there. It was up to them to talk about the past if they wanted to. He tucked that under his right arm, and watched a little raven haired girl list into her new home. She was lost in her thoughts obviously, and even before he looked at her sheet, he could guess she was a Mental type. Softly he cleared his throat from behind her to her left.

The sheet said she was eleven, not the youngest ever, but certainly down there. He made sure to keep his arms uncrossed, and to look as nonthreatening to her as possible. Which most likely failed as he had an uncaring neutral expression almost permanently plastered on his face.

She was about a foot and a half shorter than him, so he probably stood imposingly over her, even from a few feet away. Eh, par for the course. Let's just get this over with.

"Ehem, you are number twenty one, Cheza Atsugi correct?" From the blank look she had, he knew he was going to have to get her to focus. So, kneeling down on his right knee, he got eye level with her, and widened his eyes so his pupils were easily seen. The blood colored eyes he had always got people's attention, and that's what he needed to do here.

"Cheza listen to me, focus on my pupils. Ignore everything else, and just stare into my pupils." He'd done this before, it was an anchor for the Mental types. Usually their minds were so scattered, they had trouble just looking at the walls, none the less moving. His eyes would give her a single foci, a permanent point that held little information to process, thus giving her a chance to collect herself. He wasn't a fan of dealing with new arrival Mental Experiments. They took the longest to acclimate more often than not.

"Cheza, stare into my pupils, you'll be able to collect yourself, just don't look away." He repeated, making sure to keep his eyes wide enough for her.

It was quiet here. There was still noise down the hall, and some noise sounded like it was behind a door. More noise to the left than to the right. But no noise right near her. Once again her eyes flicked rapidly from place to place. Walls, doors, a plant, a man in front of the plant. the sound of the elevator as it went back up. She licked her lips. She knew Michael was up there still. Second door over. But what door?

Too many doors. Too many rooms. There was a bend on one side of the hallway, and the other had too many open doors. She started breathing faster. If she could not see the full volume of everything she could not calculate the volume of the unfamiliar air! She would count the scuffs on the wall then, and memorize the different shuffling noises going on in the distance, and their locations. She would categorize...

Red. She would categorize red? That didn't make sense! She inhaled sharply and held her breath again for a short moment before letting it go. It was the same male from in front of the potted plant. He had surprised her. He had an upwards of 88 thousand hairs visible on his head, 16 thousand and more pores on his face that she could see from her angle and those and... Red? His eyes were open really wide. And he was really close. Too close. She stared at him with her lips pressing firmly together in a mildly bewildered expression as she leaned a few inches back from him.

His face was smooth and neutral. She didn't know what he was feeling. He was talking though. Focus. She slowed her breathing. focus on his pupils and 284 eyelashes with 143 growing on the left eyelid and 141 on the right. If she plucked one from the left and fit it into a follicle on the right it would be perfectly even. It was so close. His eyes were the wrong color.

She glanced up for a moment, catching a new sound to classify. His voice brought her back again. Focus. Look at the eyes. She shoved her fingers into her ears and stared at him. Her own eyes widened as well as she watched the reflection of violet eyes. Her eyes? Her eyes were brown. The reflection was the wrong color. Focus. Don't look away from his eyes. Pupils. She licked her lips. With his eyes so wide she could see through his pupil. The black wasn't so much black as a very dark purple or blue. His optic nerves were healthy. She didn't know why she knew that. Breath. Focus.

The longer she stared, the further she leaned forward, his face blocking more and more of the surrounding environment. Eventually she couldn't see all of his face, it was warped by the angle, but still smooth and unemotional. Pressing her forehead to his, she was close enough where there were no longer two red eyes and shining pupils to stare into, from her viewpoint they merged into on gigantic red eye. One pupil, not two. Stare into his pupil.

Breathing softly, her thoughts began to quiet. Not all of them were quelled, and it still wasn't comparable to her best days, but enough. She kept her fingers in her ears even though they did little to block noise and a lot to create scratchy humming in her head. It was her noise. She could deal with that. She remembered again that she was concerned, and she twisted her face to show that. She also remembered he was asking her how she was doing. Or not him. Not the eyes. The *her* doctor.

"Michael? Genki des-" She replied to the red eye that had swallowed her world. The eyelashes were so blurry she could not even hope to count them. Another long moment passed of her staring before she had gathered up her next words, trying to appease the questions that had been given to her.

"My head doesn't hurt. I am not very worn out. My mouth is dry though and my feet are wet." She supposed then, she was thirsty. "Can I have a cup of water?" She paused and pulled away just over an inch. It was a face. She did not know this person. She knew that he was good and he was helping her, too. She liked him.

Lexillia 'Lexi' O'Conners Experiment #13

User Image

♬♪♭Letting out a soft sigh, Lexi opened her teal colored eyes, to look around the nurses office. Narrowing her eyes as she heard the soft ding of the elevator bell, announcing what she could only guess as the first of the new arrivals. Making her recall her very own first days here at the facility, causing a small frown to grace her slightly angular face as her eyes darkened to a stormier dark teal. Shaking her waist length blue-green hair to get the memories out of her head. Lexi leaned back to peek out the many windows of the room, only able to see Abel standing there, looking like he always did, seemingly withdrawn and bored. Soon ahead of brown hair appeared, getting closer to his face. Eyes going wide before she decided that sitting back up straight in her chair, not wanting to see the possible catastrophy that could happen from invading his personal space.

♬♪♭Thought she knew that Abel was able to control his emotions and action and thus reactions, she still held a fear that he would pop off. To her he was still a enigma that she had learned to just avoid, which was okay with her, since she was naturally a shy person, though she loved to help others no matter what. Knowing from first hand experience, that the transition from the labs to here the first time could be a bit difficult to some degree. But once it was done life would seem a bit better, though the occasional testing of the abilities were developing, on top of how they adapted to a 'semi' normal living condition. To her there was no illusion that they were weapons to be used at some point. Even if they all had preferences, like herself in healing instead of killing others through sonic vibrations.

♬♪♭At the thought of using her abilities to kill with her 'given' powers, made her visibly shudder, as her face contorted into a mix of rage and disgust. "Now, what is that face for little siren?" a soft male voice said from behind her. Making Lexi jump in surprise and a squeak as she spun to face the lead doctor of the nurses office and her personal handler. "Micheal I wish you wouldn't do that. You know that I don't like people sneaking up behind me. I don't want to hurt someone on base instincts." she growled at him. Only earning herself a laugh as he rubbed her head, effectively messing up her hair. Giving him a death glare as she pushed the rolling chair away from the desk and him. Her hands quickly running through her hair, straightening it out, so it hung smoothly down her back. "Now now, you know I am the only one that is still here. But I see that the new experiments are starting to show up, and that Abel is being a 'good' boy, doing his task. As for you, your slotted for later this evening, and before you ask, it is combat." he said, his voice going somber, with no trace of amusement in them as he told her.

♬♪♭At his words, Lexi frowned, showing her displeasure, but knew that there was no getting out of it. Shaking her head, as she stood up and began to pace. "Why!? I don't like harming others.. I don't wanna Mikey! Can't i refuse, please can I. Tell them I am sick...or that i have my period, with such severe cramps I can't move." she whined, her hands waving about making dramatic gestures during it all. When her teal eyes met his odd golden colored eyes. Seeing them echo her, since he knew she didn't like fighting, and hated having to patch her up after wards. With a shake of his red-purple hair to indicate it wasn't possible, Lexi stilled, hanging her head to her chest in defeat. "I would suggest you get something to eat. You are released from your duties here for the day. I will come get you personally when it is time for the testing. Okay, my little siren." he said as he walked over to her, giving her a comforting hug, that she didn't even bother to return. When he let her go, Lexi smiled half hearted at him.

♬♪♭With a melancholy sigh, she stepped around Micheal and made her way out of the nurses office. Any joy or light that she normally carried about her, with a smile on her face, was gone as she walked down the hall, eyes to the floor. She made her way to the cafeteria, totally absorbed in herself. Not bothering to get a better look at Abel and the new experiment. Instead she turned walking through the double doors, lifting her head enough to give a look of greeting to the staff that always seemed to be manning the cafeteria. Walking up to the counter, she asked for a high carb and protein meal, making them raise eyebrows, since they knew it would mean that she had testing. She knew that she would have a blood pill before and probably an out right infusion after the testing. With food in hand she went to the nearest table, sat and began to eat her food slowly and methodically.

#8 / Abel Wallace

This one was shell shocked. Definitely a Mental type. At least she heard what he said, and focused on his eyes. That gave her enough of a point to write almost everything else out. Normally his personal space was very guarded, but seeing as she was a young girl and Mental type, he'd make an exception.

"That's good, we'll get you some water in a moment. First we need to make sure you are able to think without getting lost in your mind. Remember my eyes, the color, the shape, the size. Now close your eyes, and focus on that image." Abel set down the clipboard under his arm, and waited for the girl to do as he said. Once her eyes were closed he said, "Just keep your eyes closed, and I'll be right back with some water. Remember to focus on the image of my eyes and nothing else." Even if she couldn't see it, closed eyes and all, he tapped the right side of his face, near his eye, and then pointed at her. "I'll be right back, don't be scared."

He spoke in a monotone steady voice, the last thing he needed was the girl trying to pick apart the variation in tone, and breaking what little progress they had accomplished. He got to his feet, and made his way to the water cooler near the local infirmary. They had tiny paper cups in a dispenser there, and he filled one up. Shifting his gaze into the window he spotted the local infirmary doctor Micheal, who waved back at him. Abel twitched his lip slightly in disdain, and left the cooler.

The trip took but a minute and a half, giving the girl, if she followed his instruction, a chance to thoroughly form the image in her head.

"Cheza, I'm back, keep your eyes closed okay. I'm going to give you a cup of water. Hold out your hands." Speaking in short, to-the-point sentences, he waited till she held out her tiny hands, and placed the cup in one of them.

"When you are done with that I want you to very slowly open your eyes. If you start to get lost in your thoughts again, just picture the image of my eyes, and focus on that."

I lay there on my bed, staring at the ceiling with my current book, opened but face down on my chest. An amused, wry smile curving my lips as I imagined the scene in my head. Giving rise to a dark chuckle at a fantasy that I was pretty sure would never ever come to reality. To find ones own love in such a manner, and have that love returned made me almost wish I was once again a normal kid on the streets, to at least get that chance. Shaking my head as I gave a rather loud snort of derision, before picking the book up and dog earring the page.

Letting my violet blue eyes dart to the clock, taking note that it was about time for the newbs to arrive from the current batch of 'test' subjects. Feeling a bit bad for them, since I had been undergoing that treatment for the last five years, so I understood what would be happening. More so the confusion that being suddenly thrust into a semi-social environment. The culture shock should be minimal to them, since the scientist learned from past mistakes. So they had to have been giving them some conditioning to allow them a easier adjustment.

A loud growl coming from my stomach as I sat there, making me flush as I recalled I hadn't really eaten anything since my release for quarantine at three am this morning. Deciding I could should eat, and possibly scope out the newbs, I placed the book carefully on the bed. Then stood up and stretched my muscles, before walking with a slight skin out of my room. Only giving a small glance down the halls, wondering if she might be in her room by now or still working her infirmary shift.

Knowing that she would find me if she wanted to talk, I jogged up the hallway, before turning down the intersecting one to see Abel with a clipboard and talking to a very small brunette. Grimacing at how old she actually looked, I just let my eyes catch Abel's even if for a second, to give him a nod in greeting before rushing into the cafeteria. The smell of the various foods making my tummy growl even louder.

Not wasting as second to pile the food offered on my plate, while alternately joking and flirting with the staff. I turned to get me some milk from the dispenser only to see her sitting there looking upset and picking at a high carb and protein meal. Narrowing my eyes, while deciding to for go the milk, I made my way over to her and sat down across from her speaking, "Why so glum my chum? Tell your big brother all about it, little bird." smiling and using the nick name she hated most to get her attention.

Lexillia 'Lexi' O'Conners Experiment #13

♬♪♭She was aware of her table companion, while not really wanting to talk to anyone, Lexi didn't like to be rude. Plus knowing how Sean could be when he got rebuffed or ignored, Lexi choose to talk to him. Keeping her eyes away from his face, by looking at the food she was more of less pushing around her tray, she spoke. "Nothing much. I just got told I have a lab tonight." her voice hollow compared to her normal cheery demeanor. Her eyes following her fork as it ran through the mashed potatoes, drawing four almost identical lines of white fluffy stuff, to the chopped up steak, she had left off eating. Her teal eyes only going darker, like the ocean as the storm steadily grew worse.

♬♪♭When she finished she let her words hang a bit, before lifting her eyes up to see Sean just staring at her with his odd violet hued blue eyes. Swallowing as she lifted a fork full of potatoes and steak to her mouth, pausing only briefly before shoving it in. Lexi chewed her food deliberately slow, almost to the point one would consider painful. Her eyes never leaving her friends, the only one that she had actually bonded with out of all the other experiments from their generation. She knew Sean a lot better then the others, or so she liked to think. To her, he was the big brother, rather brother in general, that she never had. He was always there to make her smile and feel better. The kindness he showed was a genuine thing, that held no hidden meanings. That out going personality that was hardly ever serious unless he was made to go into what she called his 'defender or white knight' mode. "They want me to fight, knowing that my touch doesn't just heal or paralyze, but kills people on the atomic level through sub-sonic vibration aka sound." she spat out, tossing her fork on to the tray as she finally vented.

She was listening, but the words he was saying weren't quite making sense. She blinked, staring at him, then blinked again as she repeated what he said in her mind. Lost in her mind? She swallowed, deciding he meant lost in the world noise. That made sense. Her mind was fine. Everything else was confusing. She needed to focus, to try and ignore all the little pieces and parts that weren't a part of the whole. He was instructing her. She needed to follow his instructions. She closed her eyes.

It was dark in her head for a moment or two until her eyes adjusted to the light. In the bright hallway in front of the elevators, a red glow began to spread over the dark. as he walked away she tried to visualize the red of his eyes but the red in her head was of her eyelids. It was the wrong red and too dark. Moving her fingers from her ears, she instead pressed the palms of her eyes to her eye sockets. She pressed hard at first, but quickly relaxed to remove the distracting sparkles that created.

Now that she had gotten rid of all the light, she was free to fill the space with other red things. She recalled the memory of his red eye. Slowly, she edited out his lashes, cheeks, eyebrows and eyelids until all that was left in her head was the almond shape of the iris and whites combined. But eyes were not like this. They were somewhat spherical and were composed of multiple layering parts. She listed them for herself. Conjunctiva and bulbar conjuctiva, sclera, cornea, aqueous humor, iris, choroid, lens, suspensory ligaments, ora serrata, retina, vitreous humor; and within the vitreous humor, the retinal arteries, and optic nerve. Cheza did not know what many of these were, but she could use what she did know and what she could see to form a passable model of an eye, inside and out. The Iris was the shiny red she had memorized.

As she played around with this model in her head, learning what she could about it's volume, pressures inside, how it worked and how it moved around in its socket. She failed to notice her red eyed friend's return for quite a few seconds before the sounds registered as a voice.

She pulled her hands away from her eyes, schrunching up her face in distaste for the increase of light that entered through her eyelids. The cup bumped against her hand and she wrapped her fingers around it, 1.35 cups by volume. For just another second she held it there, away from her before she decided that she was indeed thirsty and the water would be welcome. Bringing it to her lips she tilted it back, enjoying large swallows as he continued to talk. On his cue, she opened her eyes to the sight of her cup still in her face. Lowering it, she glanced around quickly at her surroundings before looking back down at her cup.

"You can't be 'lost' if there isn't a 'found'." She spoke absently, turning her now empty cup in her hands. The pattern on it was blue and green, following the base and rim all the way along until it met the seam. There, it broke off, the ends of the pattern failing to match up. The bottom was round, with a circumference of 6.28 inches. She turned it upside down over her hand and a single bead of water fell into her palm. She stared at the tiny reflections therein, calculating refractory angles until she remembered to focus on what he instructed. Eye. Ball.

"I need Michael. Can you take me to him?" she raised her violet eyes to look at him.

Sean Nomikaze, Exerpiment #11

Sean gave a small hiss at the tone in her voice, shaking his head. But wisely kept his mouth shut, knowing it would further provoke her to talk. So when she did, he narrowed his eyes, as he started to drum his fingers on the metal table top. His mind already wondering why they insisted on putting her through the fighting exercises, knowing it played hell on her mentally. Making her more or less unstable afterwards. All that self loathing and hating that she would go through for killing who ever she had to fight, as she wasted what little energy she would have left, by trying to heal the already dead corpses. Not a pretty sight in the least.

Shaking his head as he tilted it so he was staring at his drink. "I am sorry Lexillia, I am really sorry. Thought I know I am unable to do a singular thing for you at this point, all I can do is be here when your done." he said in a very soft and muted voice. Taking another look at the drink, Sean suddenly felt his appetite and thirst just vanish, now that his stomach was in knots. Quickly he stood up, grabbing the drink, before making his way to the trash and throwing it away without ever really touching it. Turning he looked at Lexi with various emotions on his face. When an idea sprang to his head, making him smile like a clever kitty.

"Hey, little bird, let's go swim a few laps before you rest up and do your labs. Maybe it will help take your mind off it for a while. And if you say no, just understand, I will throw you over my shoulder kicking and screaming. Carrying you as far as possible before you decide to attack me, paralyzing my butt again." he said, making his voice teasing while still very serious. To empasize his point, he lifted his arms up, wiggling his fingers, all the while taking a semi-threatening step towards her.
