Ajitabh was still very alone, wandering along the dusty plains of the roguelands. He hated the fact that he was so alone. He used to be surrounded by a ton of smiling faces and pads with banus and many small cubs. Now, there was nothing and he was lonely once more. After the kind former banu left, he struck out on his own with a new fervor that lasted all but a week. After finding nothing still, he was at a loss. His motivation was stuck at the bottom of a pond.
If his wing markings were actual wings, they would surely be drooping. Hopefully something could spark the motivation once again.

If he oher feline was depressed then Kallionstiryne was his opposite. The cheetah had a bounce in his step. Sure, he was alone-but he was alone and living it up. His family had been huge and finding a spot in it was hard but here? Here he was on his own and he was headstrong. He wanted something to race. Wanted someone to hang out with and have a good time. What was the point of being on your own without someone else?
The green cheetah came to a slow stop when he spotted a rather... well blue looking lion. He lowered his head curiously. Caution told him that lions could spell bad news but this one didn't look up to chasing even a kilpsringer. It was worth a shot.
He crept over on the tips of his paws, ready to dance away should the need arise. "Well, hello there." He offered lowering his head between his shoulder blades a little. "Are you alright?"

Aji startled with the sound of a new voice. He wasn't paying attention, nearly snarling at the newcomer. He did, fortunately, retain the sound. "Oh, hello," he spoke glumly, sighing. He thought for a moment, pondering to answer the question that was presented - one he almost didn't hear if he had snarled. "I'm alright, I guess."
He wasn't though, he was lonely. Lonelier than he had ever been. He had a breif taste of companionship for a moment, but the leopardess had bowed out and wandered off. He didn't follow her - he had some respect at least! She wasn't interested in sticking around and he would respect her boundaries.
"Are you on your own, too?"

The cheetah was pretty sure he'd escaped a rather nasty greeting. He certainly kept his distance a little bit further. His fur was bristled and energy was coursing through him. He could run now and save face but the other animal was greeting him and his fur smoothed just a little.
"Yah," He responded easily still skirting around the larger animal. "Just looking for someplace to call my own. What about you?"

Aji gave a nod, he knew that feeling very well, though it seemed the cheetah was taking the whole situation a lot better than he was. "I've lost the pride I once belonged to," Aji told the cheetah, "and all my family and friends with it. I'm looking for a new home..."
He glanced at the cheetah, and how he was dancing just outside of reach or anything, and he frowned. "I apologize, I didn't mean to sound angry. You startled me is all..." Faudi gave a pause, sitting up a little straighter, trying to shove the feeling of bitter longing away. "Are you from around here?"

The cheetah frowned a little. It was different to just leave a family than have them taken away. He sat down and flicked his tail over his feet. The poor guy. No wonder he'd been grumpy to start.
Kallion gave a small grin, "Don't worry about it. Everyone's entitled to a bad day." He answered then added, "No, I'm just sort of wondering around. Hunting and exploring. But you know..." He stood up and dared to come a little closer. "If you're interested I wouldn't mind being company for a while."

So the cheetah was wandering as he was! That wasn't so surprising, however. Many he encountered no longer had homes, or simply never had one. He found it strange and empty to be without a home, but some did not!
He smiled at the green cheetah, "I would love your company," He rocked a bit on his paws. Oh, this day got much better suddenly. He could jump for joy, but there was no need to scare the cheetah more. "Were you headed in any particular direction? I don't want to shift you off a path?" He asked hesitantly. He hadn't been headed in any particular direction himself, so changing it would be no hardship. Perhaps they could walk together for a ways...

The green cheetah gave a bit of a smile, "No, I'm not going anywhere. I'm actually trying to find my roar." He stated, tail swishing back and forth. "I heard stories that a God or Goddess stole away the Cheetah's roar and I want to be the first one to catch them. I think I'm fast enough to do it. Do you want to come with me?"

Aji tilted his head. He had never heard a cheetah roar before, now that he thought of it. It was interesting, and a little bit curious. "Oh, um... Sure. I'm not terribly fast myself though," He didn't think he'd be able to keep up. He'd be left behind again, and that was one of his biggest fears. He took a deep breath to resolve himself.

The male gave a wide toothy grin, "Oh don't worry about being fast. I don' mind slowing down and walking until I find out who took the Roar. I want to ask the Gods of the Wind. I'm sure they might know."
He stopped and laughed, "We forgot names! I'm Kallionstiryne but its sort of a mouthful. You can call me Kallion, if you'd like."

Aji gave a nod at that. That would be... That would be really nice, he thought. He might not be fast as a cheetah, but he could still keep up while walking, and he did have stamina. He rocked on his feet once more and smiled. "Alright then, I'll join you, Kallion. You can call me Ajitabh, or Aji for short." WC: 1044
