Name: Solirah
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Sexual Preference: Heteroexual
Craft/Hall/Rank: Candidate / Healer

Personality: Solirah likes people; she likes all the types of people out there. Her friendly disposition helps her win over the crowd and keep them on her side, which is right where she wants them. She’s always looking to socialize with others and not only sees herself as part of the “group” but attempts to usher in others as well because she dislikes seeing others being left out. As a result, she's warm, open, and friendly. Her upbringing with her five other siblings has helped to make her this way, and when it comes to working in a team, she will always get into the groove of teamwork and this is where she shines.

Even at a young age, Solirah has had little if no patience at all. This did not make her very popular with others as a child. She’s gotten better about controlling the signs of her impatience but it still shows up once in a while. This may lead to sarcastic comments or even outbursts and this, as you might imagine, gets her into some trouble. Her father has told her numerous times that such displays will someday come back and bit her in the behind, but she simply can’t control it. Don’t be late when she asks you to be there on time, you might not like the person that you find when you get there.

Usually, when Solirah puts her mind towards something, such as her craft or an important project, it becomes a duty and she will try to follow through on it. Her father sets high goals for her and she strives to achieve them - viewing them as duties because of the create respect she has for her father. She never gives up on whatever she’s doing, even if failure is inevitable. She has her moments of weakness, if given a task she views as morally wrong, she will more than likely argue or go against whatever it is.

When Solirah gets an idea on what she’s going to do, no one can make her change her mind. She tends to see life is black and white, there are winners and there are losers, and she hates to lose. She's not great at arguing points, and her opinions aren't always based on facts, but they're her opinions and she sticks by them especially considering her father taught her everything. When presented with facts that make it obvious that her way of thinking is wrong, she usually tries to reconsider her stance, even if she fights the entire way and will seek outside sources for more information. She is more than willing to agree to disagree with people.

Physical Description: Sporting a healthy amount of dark earth toned hair; it’s rare that Solirah will leave it down. She prefers her hair up in some intricate up do and has a preference for braids which is seen in the variety she has in her hair. Her almond shaped eyes are of oak coloring, taking after her mother’s and have small eyelashes around the contours. For the most part her eyebrows are straight across her brow and begin to lean down a bit towards the end which softens her look. Her face is somewhat angular, with high raised cheek bones with a straight jawline. Her bottom lip is full with the upper lip being just a bit smaller, most days her mouth is turned up into a genuine smile aimed at others. Her nose is a little on the large side being long, but is still very straight.

Standing at a nice height of five feet eight inches and a half, Solirah does consider herself on the taller side of the spectrum. She is rather slim with long legs and arms with a rectangular body shape for she barely has any breast or hips to show off. She also has some muscle on her, with an olive skin tone that bares no blemishes except for a long cut she received at a Hatching. Her posture is straight but relaxed as to keep herself always at her full height; she does not slouch for she believes it is a bad habit for someone to have and may give the impression of laziness. When she walks or talks it is always with purpose, head raised high and eyes on the alert.

While Solirah is not overly feminine, she does tend towards clothing that might make her more appealing to the eye. She favours dresses and long skirts to practical pants; though she does make sure her shoes are simple enough so she can get around with ease. She does not like to show much skin, but she doesn’t hide behind baggy shirts or cover herself all the way to her neck. She is not extravagant in her color pallet, preferring earthy tones to bright colors such as yellow or pink.

History: Like many of her siblings, Solirah’s father was simply passing by when he met Lirish. Her father, So’ah rider of a blue dragon, was however an active participant throughout her life. He enjoyed the fact that she was his one and only daughter and was looking forward to having his legacy continued. As such he has remained in the Ista Weyr as much as he could to keep an eye on his daughter as she grows into a young woman that would likely stand for candidate when the time came. On her mother’s side however, she would come to have more siblings than the one older than her.

Most of Solirah’s time was spent with her father and his dragon, Soli grew a distinct love for dragons as she was introduced to as many as her father could find. Even at a very young age, he taught her the importance of duty, and as her mother’s side grew, Soli was always there by her mother’s side helping her with her siblings whenever she could. Her father spoiled her in his own way; this caused her to become rather stubborn in her morals and ideas. Even to this day, her way of thinking was so tightly molded that little can change it from what her father taught her.

The only time Solirah could truly be found unhappy was when she was away from her father, this was brought on by the traveling to visit her other side of the family. While it made her sociable and knowledgeable to the world, her heart would always be at the Ista Weyr, hold life was far too placid and boring for her. The only positive she saw to each journey was the adventure that may happen while she was away, when she was old enough she often left her mother’s side to simply walk around and explore the area. She would of course get into trouble for wondering off, but it was always worth it in the end.

As she got older, Solirah began thinking about moving in with her father. She asked her mother if she could stay with her father, promising that she would of course continue to take care of her siblings. This helped her be closer to what she loved the most and when the time came to pick a trade it was an easy choice for her and one strongly encouraged by her father. She took up healing so she could be around dragons as much as she could, and she put her whole heart and mind into each and every single task or studies she undertook. Of course, when the time came and she was called to stand on the sands, Solirah went more than happily. This slowed down her studies as an infirmary aid, as she made it so senior apprentice, but she continues to lowly study.

Talents: Responsible, dragon anatomy, teamwork, and her craft.

Notes: She has in total, 5 other siblings. Only one of them is older than she is. Open to play fi anyone wants, simply PM me. smile

She's friendly, impatient, and determined, stubborn and focused! I really like what you have here, Tas! I like how close she is to her father: you don't see that too often in the Pern setting. Approved!
