As much as Molly loved every part of her day at Deus, because she did a lot of nice things during the day, and interacted with so many wonderful people, it was this part of the day she really did like best. It was after she was done with her duties for the day, and she was bringing food to Jeremy because she knew what his diet consisted of if she didn’t bring him real food. It was eating that food with him in his room, and then doing whatever the other trainee wanted depending on his whims. It then ended with them having a sleep over on a giant nest of pillows and blankets and watching the ducks bob in his little pool.

Molly was currently carrying a bag containing some grilled ham and cheese sandwiches she had made in Candace’s kitchen, along with some containers of tomato soup, and some drinks. She came to a stop at Jeremy’s door, and rapped her freckled knuckles lightly on the surface, a small smile on her face as she waited.

Molly's dinner visits were also the best part of Jeremy's day. Which was saying something, really, because the young man always had great, fun, and fantastic days. Even the ones that ended with him in the infirmary all broken and bloody. He was an easy man to please. No matter what he got up to though, he always, always made sure that he was in his room to meet her when she came to visit.

Today he was sitting on the floor, holding the soles of his feet together and staring expectantly at the door. He had been there for ten minutes now, waiting for the lovely Molly with all the patience he could muster. The first knock made him jump to his feet in excitement, and before she even had a chance to knock a second time he was already throwing open the door, grinning widely at her.

"Mols!" He cried out happily, wasting no time in pulling her into a big, tight hug despite everything she was holding. He leaned away from her again and hopped back into his room, giving her the chance to come in as well. "Hello Mollyyyy~ I missed you. Oh, dinner! What's for dinner? Smells like soup and cheese." Among other things, really.

It wasn’t like it was a surprise when Jeremy answered his door so quickly, but it always did make Molly startle a bit before her smile grew wide at the sight of the dandelion-head trainee. “Hello~!” She chirped back, and managed to shift the items to one hand so that she could hug him in return with one arm. She then giggled softly, and stepped into the room after him, slipping out of her boots and putting them by the door before closing it.

“I missed you, too! Oh! Well, good nose! You’re pretty much right!” She turned and held the bag out to him, opening it up. “I made grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with tomato soup…and I brought some drinks! Are you ready to eat?”

"Mmmm~" Jeremy purred loudly as Molly prattled off what was in the bags; he didn't look in to see, he trusted her enough to know that she wouldn't lie to him. "Yes! Yes yes yes~" He backed into the room like an excited child, and then spun around to fish two folding chairs and a stolen end table from their hiding places - which was just against the wall - and he pulled them out, making an impromptu dinner table for the pair of them.

He then sat down in one of the chairs, legs crossed and hands on his feet, eager for Molly's cooking.

Molly beamed, and while he got the table ready she closed the door behind her. She then moved over to the impromptu table, watching as he set it up, and then pulled out the items once he was finished. Jeremy never failed to warm her heart with his enthusiasm in all things, and it was this Molly was fondly thinking of...along with something else that had been rolling around in her head for a while. She placed the tin foil wrapped sandwiches in front of Jeremy followed by the styrofoam cup containing the soup, along with the appropriate eating utensils. Complete with juice boxes. "There you go!" Molly informed. "Dig in, alright?" She pulled out her own items, and then settled across from the trainee, unwrapping one of the sandwiches.

"Did you have a good day, today?" She asked, glancing up from her sandwich.

Jeremy watched with wide-eyed excitement as the amazing dinner - to him a high class, four course meal - was spread out before him, leaving him sitting on the edge of his seat with his feet perched on the bars.

But he waited until Molly gave the word, because Molly's word was law.

Plus, he didn't like to be rude in front of the lady.

So he sat on the edge of his seat, eyeing the food like a dog eyed a treat after being told to stay. When she gave him permission to eat, he was on it - one hand grabbed a half of the sandwich, and the other took up the cup. A moment later the cup went down with a small hiss of Ow, hot, but the sandwich? It stayed. And soon had a huge bite taken out of it.

"Yeah! Elsie and I trained some, and then I did Haunted House Duty, and then Pod duty, and then I had to clean the dorm lobby, but that was okay, I made a game out of it. Did you know I painted ducks on those walls? Lex and I did. I mean, I had to paint over them, but the ducks are there. Maybe I should paint them again some day..." He trailed off thoughtfully, gold eyes on the ceiling though his face remained tilted towards Molly.

"And you?" Another big bite, but this one was during an expectant stare.

She knew it was coming, and really it was nothing new, and he had done this sort of thing even when they first met but she still, in vain, tried to reach out and beckon him not to—

Yeah. Molly winced as Jeremy slammed the piping hot cup of soup, one hand out reached as if she could stop it and the other still holding onto the sandwich. “Oh…Jeremy…” She sighed and then smiled. “Your poor tongue.” Molly relaxed again, and took smaller bites out of her sandwich as she listened intently to the trainee as he listed off his day, nodding her head and ‘oh’ing and ‘ah’ing at the highlights…like ducks! “I think that’d make the dorm room very cheerful!” She commented, before nodding her head.

“Yes! Everyday is a good day! I had pod duty earlier and then kitchen duty…and then I spent the rest of the day going over some of the basic runic item procedures with some newer trainees…! Then I cooked in Miss Candace’s apartment and now I am here!” She beamed, before she gasped and leaned a bit closer to Jeremy.

“Oh! I can’t believe I almost forgot to tell you—if you don’t already know—Miss Candace is getting married! Dakota proposed to her and she said yes!” Molly gushed.

"It's fine! It's fine I'm fine you're fine there's nothing to be worried about!" Jeremy waved his hand in dismissal of her worries, but really only served to get crumbs everywhere. Everywhere. Luckily most of them ended up in his own lap, and a few strewn about the room for the vacuum to find later.

"You had a nice full day!" He commented, before scooting over as she leaned in close, more than willing to partake in this little secret she was going to impart.

"Oh, really? That's great! Are they having it here?" Jeremy leaned back, his eyes rolling to stare at the ceiling as he tried to imagine a gloomy Deus wedding - and then he remembered helping Robert buy a ring for...someone...hrm. How did that even turn out? How strange. Eventually the golden eyed trainee looked back down at his charming friend.

"Do you think you'd wanna get married one day?"

Yes, it was fine, wasn't it? It usually always was but she just got so nervous...

The crumbs were nothing new to Molly, who was used to them at this point and would get them later when she cleaned his room. She nodded her head agreeing that the wedding was indeed great and then shook her head before furrowing her brows in thought. "Ummm...I don't think so! I think Dakota talked about having it off island...I think..." Now she wasn't so sure if she remembered correctly or not...oops! She was a bad friend...

At the question that was asked though, Molly choked, on air luckily and not her sandwich. She immediately started to feel panic spreading out and her eyes went wide with nervousness. As quickly as that feeling came on though she dispelled it. This was Jeremy. She had no reason to be embarrassed or panicked when she was talking to him...even if she did find it alarming how a lot of people were asking her that question...

The trainee released a breath she didn't know she'd been holding before giving out a small laugh and shaking her head. "Oh no...I don't...because there's no one who would want to marry me anyways!" Of this she had convinced herself. "Do you think about it?"

Jeremy blinked two wide golden eyes at the girl sitting across from him. Had he heard what he thought he heard? That Molly had nobody interested in her? That couldn't be right - Molly was amazing! Someone had to be interested in her - someone...oh, wait, that's right.

Anyone other than him wasn't allowed, he decided mentally, belatedly, and certainly silently.

"Oh, I don't think that's true." The Trainee murmured around his sandwich, looking thoughtfully at the ceiling again as he pondered this curious new thought of his, something he hadn't quite considered before but most definitely knew from the very start.

"Not really. Marriage seems pretty...I dunno, messy? They don't last long here." He couldn't remember a married couple that were still together - but he was pretty sure there had to be.

At his surprised look she just gave him a sheepish smile. Molly finished one of the sandwiches and picked up the cup of soup, cradling it between her freckled hands as she tilted her head. "Huh?" She uttered questioningly as he murmured, and then also took her eyes to the ceiling in thought. "Messy..." She uttered, and gave it an honest thought. She tried to think about who she knew who was married, but it seemed a lot of them were engaged, and even those weren't...going so well. Uh oh! The trainee tried wracking her brain, but she was coming up short.

"Well..." She looked a bit bemused. "...I think you're right....but--" She smiled. "I hope Dakota and Miss Candace have a lasting one! I also think if you got married, Jeremy, you'd make it last long!" She just had the utmost faith in him.

Molly sipped at her soup, and fell into a thoughtful silence. A thoughtful, slightly anxious silence. Talking about all this marriage business was constantly reminding her of the promise she made with Dakota, and of course breaking a promise with Shawty was never even a thought....even if it was the source of a lot of anxiety.

"...H-hey...Jeremy?" Molly started, trying to hide behind her Styrofoam cup. "...C-can I tell you something? I made a promise with Dakota..."

"Fingers crossed!" He cheered. For Dakota and Candace, anyway. He let out a noise of disagreement around his food when it came to his own curious nuptials. When he went to his soup, he approached it much more carefully than he had the first time - but was much noisier about it. By the time Molly spoke up again, his wide gold eyes were on the pool in the corner, watching his little ducks float around uselessly. Like always though, the moment she spoke she had his attention, and he stared at her over his cup.

"Of course!" Jeremy chirped with delight, even going as far as to put down all of his food onto the the tiny table nearby; it sounded important, so he was going to treat it as important! That meant no food in his hands or mouth, and his hands on his knees. Back straight, eyes focused - well, as focused as he could get - and all of his attention on the pretty lady nearby.

"What'd you promise him?"

"I promised him that..." She started, staring at her soup container but then decided that that wasn't fair, since she could feel his eyes on her. Molly hesitantly lowered it, biting her bottom lip. "I promised him that I'd tell you something. I had to tell you something if he proposed to Miss Candace, which he did, so..."

She then stared at him. Silently. Trying to will herself to make words come out, much less the ones she had promised Dakota she'd say. The longer she stared at him though, going over his features again and again which never failed to delight and awe her, she turned red. She was also no closer to getting the words out the longer she stared at him. This silence felt like, to her, it could stretch on into forever, and she'd be okay with that but she made a promise. Gosh darn it, Dakota.

What if she was going to burden Jeremy with her feelings?

Five minutes had probably gone by.

Molly's eyes went wide and she squirmed in her seat, reaching up to cup her face and shake a bit before she suddenly righted herself. She planted her hands on her lap, staring down at her knees for a moment before she looked up at him and squeaked:

"I think I l-l-lo-lo-love you--I'M SORRY!"

Somewhere outsude, Dakota suddenly felt a bounce in his step. Like...all was right and he should be super proud of Molly.

"Ok?" He urged when the story ended, but that seemed like all he was going to get.

Five minutes was a long time in Jeremy's world, but he strained himself in order to focus, waiting for Molly to stop doing the very dramatic build up - because that was the only thing Molly could have been doing in that five minutes, because in that moment he seemed to have forgotten who he was talking to. Molly liked to over-think things, and then over-think the over-thought thoughts just to be sure she suitably over did it. It was one of the things he really liked about her, because it was so different from him. Thinking was a thing better suited for other people.

Like lovely Molly.

When she finally said something, he almost missed it. It was so quiet, and so broken, and followed by something so loud he wasn't sure what happened, exactly. So he sat there and stared at her, golden eyes wide with surprise, and tried to piece it together. What he got, didn't make much sense, but at the same time, did?

"You love me?" He repeated, as if he was making sure he had heard right. He then paused as he let the words permeate through the thick brain he sported. The more it seeped through the darker his cheeks became, and quite suddenly, he jumped to his feet.

"Me too!" He cried, suddenly, and almost immediately paused. "Not me I mean, but like you - I mean I love me but I meant you because I love you too?" He pointed this way and that as he struggled to make his point, his brows knitting as he tied himself up in his own twisted, strange logic. Soon he gave up and heaved a heavy sigh, before shaking his head like one would an etch-a-sketch, and started over.

But instead of saying anything, he just leaned over and planted a kiss to her cheek.
