Bly hadn't been traveling that far after she had parted ways with Rizzo. She has to admit she misses her friend. Yet she isn't going to hold anyone back. The sky is overcast as the storm clears. It rained earlier, but not hard. The ground is damp but not muddy. Her eyes glance around at her surroundings. It is lonely.. Her rocks sway with her steps and she smiles. They offer her a sense of comfort. Climbing a hill she makes her way down to the stream that twists around it and into the trees of a little orchard. This is a nice spot.. Very scenic. Going to the stream she goes to drink from the stream.

It was days like these with the sky overcast from the storms passing through in watering the earth that Gael wanted to find a nice hollowed out tree or a safe cave to take shelter for warmth with a companion. It was these kinds of days that he wanted to pass the time talking or simply in comfortable silence. Why? This male wanted a simple life. Nothing complicated and not too much drama but simple in that it didn't require too much loneliness. Shaking out his wet head the stallion trotted along the stream after being caught in the rain, looking impossibly drenched when he stopped at the edge of the orchard. Having thought that he was the only one who knew of this little spot he tilted his head to the side at the sight of a pink and pale pink female with pearls wrapped around her. Blinking a few times, Gael smiled faintly. He had never seen such a female in his life that looked so lovely, like the pale pink flowers he's seen before. Yes she looked like a flower. Caution with each step the stallion nickered softly to catch her attention. Hopefully he didn't startle this female with his wet, haggard appearance. "Good day to you my lady" He said by way of friendly greeting.

The water is cool as it goes down her throat. It is so refreshing as it quenched her thirst. Her ears turns to the side as she catches a sound of another nickering. Lifting her head she looks over at a yellow and white painted Stallion with interesting markings. Her eyes are wide with surprise, but soon they are back to being calm. "Hello.. I was just taking a drink.. I wasn't aware if I was stepping on some herds territory. I am but a traveler." Smiling she looks over at him." So.. do you come here often?" She is almost at a loss as to what to say yet she slowly becomes confident again. It just takes a while when she is startled. Swishing her tail at a fly she shifts her weight to her other side."I must say that your markings are fascinating. I can't stop looking at them." Especially that feather. She's always loved feathers. She used to pick up feathers and try to attach them to the string between the stones but they always fell off.

If it was possible to see himself clearly Gael was sure that there was a light blush on his face at her interest in his markings. Smiling the stallion came forward, still cautious to not make it seem like he was threatening to her but close enough to be near seeing the light swirls on her body. Now those were impressive and lovely. Shaking his head Gael bowed his head. "Oh no please, you are not stepping on someone's herd territory. This is just a little spot I remember to come visit often because it's a calming place away from the rest of the world. Yes I do come here often. More so than ever actually."
The male moved closer just to get a better glimpse of this female and sighed softly. She was beautiful. "Thank you. These markings came from my birth herd. We all had a specific marking trait with our herd name but I didn't stay long enough to learn what mines would be by the sha-woman. Though I must say your swirls are much more impressive. As if the wind could take a shape it would be those swirls. Even the pearls wrapped around you are a nice addition." Gael had to stop himself from rambling to remember his manners. "My name is Gael. May I have the honor in knowing yours?"

Bly smiles back at the stallion as he approaches. She is comfortable once again and so she isn't bothered. Yet his consideration doesn't go unnoticed to her. For that she is grateful. Most of the stallions she has come across in her travels wouldn't make such efforts to not scare a mare. Looking around she smiles. His words echoing in her head. "I can see why you would come here. It is quite scenic and lovely. I am glad that I am not intruding on a herds territory. It is always so nerve wracking when I am approached by a herd. Some don't take kindly to travelers. "
Smiling she listens to his words. They are so sweet and kind. She bows her head."Thank you. Your words are too kind Gael. These stones were my mothers before she past them on to me. I wear them wherever I go. My name is Bly. It is nice to meet you." She steps closer to look at the detail on the leaf and the feather."I've always had a fascination with feathers. I used to try to attack them to my string of pearls but they would always fall off. There are so many different colors and designs from different birds. It was one of my favorite hobbies. These are simply remarkable markings. My apologies if this is making you uncomfortable."

This was so incredible refreshing! To have a full conversation with another Azrein that was simple, engaging and best of all with a beautiful mare! Of course Gael wasn't going to shout his joy for that. That would be just weird. No instead Gael gave a warm smile finding Bly completely charming.
"You have nothing to apologize for. I'm enjoying myself in my favorite place to be. Feathers are quite lovely. They are soft or can be course. Though if you take the silk of a spider's web you can be able to attach them to your stones. I'm sure they would be a nice addition to what's already...beautiful."
Gael leaned down to drink a small sip of water then pointed in a direction with his head. "Come. I want to show you something magical that I think will further your hobby even more." It was a bold and unexpected move but the stallion walked off hoping that Bly would follow. While Gael barely knew this mare, if she was fascinated with something such as feather then this was the place to find all of the birds coming together.

Bly can't help, but to smile back as she finds that her day has improved from how it started. From parting ways with Rizzo, to now being in the company of Gael. Well she is incredibly grateful to be talking with someone. Especially someone who is so easy to talk to. This was exactly what she needed to make her day better. She can tell Gael is a good stallion with a warm and kind heart. She is fortunate to have met him.
"They are lovely. Spider's silk.. I hadn't thought of that. Though I haven't tried putting feathers on since I was a foal. Though I would think one would need some help to get them on if one were to use spider's silk. Though I wouldn't want to put the feathers on the stones themselves. More of between them."
Sipping at the water again, she looks in the direction where he pointed. Her curiosity urges her to see what he is talking about. Then before she knows it he is already walking off. Trotting to catch up she slows down to walk beside him. Her side brushes his at times. "Okay, you have my curiosity peaked. Is the place far?" The only thing she can guess is that there are feathers at this place. Maybe he is going to show her a birds nest! She has no idea, but she knows that it will be interesting. "What sort of things do you like if I may be so bold to ask?"

Gael thought about that then nodded. "You are correct that it would be rather difficult for the spider's silk to put on though I'm sure if you asked a spider to help you in exchange for some flies that we seem to be plagued with from time to time it would be possible." At her curiosity being peaked the male shook his head.
As they had walked together their sides brushed against each other sending ripples of awareness through his being. "I like enjoying the small things nature has to offer....but my greatest thing to do is sing." At that the stallion blushed and it was evident on his gold and white cheeks. The location wasn't far, in fact it was deeper in the orchard and the very sounds of bird's whistling, chirping and singing were coming close just behind a curtain of Spanish moss. Pushing it aside for her he smiled gently. "Allow me to show you better singers than me who have beautiful feather's to share.
Ever the gentleman, Gael wanted Bly to enter into the world that was full of different types of birds nesting, fluttering and singing amongst each other in this save haven they have built for themselves. They were colorful and in truth their feathers would fall from their wings to lay on the earth. He hoped that being here would rekindle Bly's interest in feathers even more. Though why would Gael go through all the trouble of doing that for a mare he jut met? The answer was that he had a heart of gold. Whether they would become friends or passing acquaintances he would leave a kind impression on Bly.

Bly laughs lightly and nods her head. Yes, it would be easy to trade with a spider. After all flies are pretty constant around them. They are quite pesky too. That is certainly an option."That would be quite a simple arrangement to make. Would get rid of some flies too." She glances over at him and see's the blush that comes to his cheeks when he makes his confession. "There is nothing wrong with that. I do enjoy listening to others sing. I can sing, but I don't know many songs so I don't really sing in front of others that often." The songs she does know are mostly lullabies
Hearing the singing, and sounds of birds her eyes light up and she looks around. Her eyes searching for them. When they get to a curtain of moss she stops as she allows him to push it aside for her."Thank you Gael. You are so kind and such a gentleman. It is nice." Stepping into the place she goes to stand in the middle and looks up at all the birds. Turning around slowly her eyes are wide in awe. This.. this is amazing! So many different birds all in one place! "This is amazing!" Grinning she can't seem to figure out where to look. She wants to see them all! Take this place in and just observe. She could probably stay here all day and never get bored.
"So many birds! I can't remember seeing so many different kinds in one place!" She is so excited she can't hold back her glee as she rears and spins around on her back feet with joy. All four feet are back on the ground again as she looks over at Gael."This place is so magnificent. However did you come across it?" Her gaze see's the many feathers on the ground and she whinny's with delight as she looks at all the different feathers. Trotting around she feels as though she is a young foal again.

The stallion nodded glad that his suggestion was sensible. There was a split second that he thought such a thing wouldn't be something she would consider doing as many females he had come across didn't like spiders. Gael didn't mind them as he made such trades whenever he encountered one. Yet for Bly it would be a perfect way to continue her passion.
Entering the world of birds, the fluttered around them not minding the presence of two Azrein in their sanctuary. "I'm sure you sing lovely. I know only old songs from my mother and the sha-woman but that is it. It would be good to learn more." Yet the question about how he came across this place.....Gael was happy to share that.
"I came here the first time needing a safe place to rest after the great war. I did what I could and well this place is a safe haven. Exhausted from doing what I had done, I slept for nearly two days straight and then woke up hearing the songs of birds. All of them. I woke up to investigate and found them all here. You are the only one I've ever shown this place to and perhaps the last as I don't want this place to be disturbed too much." There was a distant look in his deep green eyes entering the memories but trying to keep fully out of them at the same time.

Bly smiles and looks over at him."Thank you. You've been so kind to me. To take me here and to be so considerate.I haven't met many who would go through such length's for a mare they didn't know." Listening to his story she is surprised that he was a part of the great war. She had heard about it, but she hadn't been a part of it. Noticing the look in his eyes she walks over and nuzzles his side gently."Hey.. Lighten up. Let's not go revisit the past for too long. This place is too lovely and the day is perfect to be letting past memories take over." She smiles and picks up a feather with her lips and teases Gael moving the feather side to side over his muzzle trying to get him to sneeze.
Giggling she trots off."Come on. Perhaps you can help me search for some of those blue jay feathers and if we are lucky some hawk feathers too!" She beams back at him and starts to search the feathers. She always had loved blue jays. Their feather's are so vibrant and the blue reminds her of the sky and rivers. Her pearls shift over her back as she moves.Tossing her head she moves her bangs to the side. She will need her bangs out of the way in her search.

Gael's attention was being brought back to the present by Bly's voice and her words. Looking at her.....He felt so strange. His heart raced at her gentle nature towards him. Heavens how he longed for someone else to express care in return. Blinking a few times as he was fully pulled out of that dark moment, his nose wiggled and pawed the ground gently until he lifted head then dropped it down with a big sneeze.
Well that little teasing imp! Smiling brightly which removed the shadows from his green eyes. Trotting after he moved close enough to playfully n** at her flanks nodding with determination. "I will find you all of them if they will please you, imp!" Watching the way Bly moved made him pause for a second but forced himself to look away to not appear creepy and began to shift gently through the feathers, finding two blue jay feathers but kept gazing over at Bly unable to help himself.

Bly watches him sneeze and gives a cheeky grin. Mischief shines in her eyes and then she goes back to looking. She doesn't expect him to get payback. When he nips her she jumps slightly and looks over at him. She grins."That would please me very much Gael. An imp huh? Well that isn't something I get called often." Smiling she trots around and goes back to her search. Ruffling around she finds a few blue jay feathers and then some other feathers from an assortment of birds. She glances over at him every so often. When their eyes meet she blushes and looks away. She feels giddy.. Almost as if she has a crush or something.
This is new to her as she never really thought of such things often. She never really bothered to really find love or look at other stallions much in a romantic way. Sure she is pretty, but without a herd many stallions lose interest. Along with the fact that she is very simple. Trotting over to him she nuzzles his side and holds the feathers up for his inspection. She doesn't know why she wants to impress him, but she does. In her small collection there is two green feathers that she thinks would go well in his hair.

"You should be called other nice things more often because they are the truth." Gael commented while looking for more pretty feather that he hoped would please Bly. When he would glance over, there was a single moment when their eyes met and he saw her look away hopefully blushing because inside his chest his heart jumped then did many somersaults. Was this what affection and a growing infatuation was? Perhaps it was something else as infatuation was shallow and not real.
This had to be something more because when she nuzzled his side it felt like it was something she had done to him for years. As if they were so familiar with each other to do something so intimate and affectionate. Smiling at the feathers she held up for his inspection, Gael nodded happily. "Those are beautiful Bly. You have an eye for this. Those green ones are especially vibrant in their color. Do you like these feathers?" Gael lifted up a beautiful long feather that belonged to a brown hawk but it had cream, white, tan and black on it but as he lifted to show her his muzzle found Bly's muzzle and stopped.
Ear's perked forward in awareness and froze as he stared in surprise that he accidently kissed Bly then looked away quickly. Great now she is going to hate him and think him a weirdo for sure! Someone who was trying to put the moves on her when he just wanted to show a hawk's feather that she would like. But the feeling of her muzzle against his lingered, tingling.

Bly smiles over at Gael at his words. He is just so kind and sweet to her. Perhaps he is this way to everyone. He really is one of the few that has a heart of gold that she has encountered in her travels. "Your words are so sweet and kind. Thank you. Though I think sometimes such words mean more when one doesn't hear them enough. You really have made my day brighter." She looks at him and shakes her head at the question on the green feathers."I think the green feathers would look swell with your hair and markings. They match your eyes. They are from Male Mallard ducks I believe.. or some other bird.. I am not too knowledgable with bird names."
Looking at the feather she nods."Yes, I like how those look-." She stops mid sentence when Gael and she accidently kiss. She blushes but doesn't look away nor move away. A giggle comes from her and she can't stop it. In these type of situations where she doesn't know what to say she always starts giggling."I'm sorry.. I know I shouldn't be giggling.. I can't stop it though. I just don't know what to say. Though please don't fret over it! It was... enjoyable. Unexpected, but nice.. Though I think it wasn't your intention." Moving forward she lifts her head up and manages to get a green feather to stay in his hair. She steps back."Yes, just as I thought. They go very well with your coat and markings."
