Mintaka had taken to being a senshi the best way she knew how....for awhile she would patrol and then she died down to just being a student. The city hadn't needed a fumbling lady senshi around...but today she felt good.
Classes were done, there was no need for Failyn and she was going to pull herself together and return to the job at hand.
"No Yokai here?" She rested her hand on her hip and sighed, "A shame, I would love dearly to show off my skills soon."

In truth, while Flora was a much more experienced senshi (and had the buttwings to show for it), she too had taken considerable amount of time off from her usual patrol time than from when she first started out. She had been much more invested in her life as a university student, and mainly, her life as Eve Summers, and she often wondered if this was too selfish of her.
It wasn't as though she didn't don her senshi outfit; she just did it periodically mainly when there was either trouble, or when she took her usual visits to her homeworld or the Surrounding.
...She had to admit that she did miss the thrill of the life, hopping from rooftop to rooftop.
"Is that what they're calling youma nowadays?" She didn't think her presence was an intrusion, not when the other senshi could easily sense the aura of an Eternal Senshi behind her. "I mean, you can call them whatever you like; I've heard names like monsters, mutants, and names that involve quite a bit of swearing. Youma, yokai, they're both Japanese names anyway-- huh. Why do we even call them by Japanese names anyway?" Flora had pretty much just rolled with it under the guidance of Pegasus (and just a tiny bit from Astraea, she supposed).
Oh gosh, she was babbling again, wasn't she? The Eternal Senshi straightened up and smiled at the other girl. "I'm Flora, by the way. Senshi of Spring. Seems like a quiet night, doesn't it?"
As much as she had missed the nightlife, Flora also did not miss the bruises, the injuries and the near-death experiences.

Mintaka jumped a little at the voice. She wasn't so quite adept at telling powers apart, and had been solely focused on her own to even register Flora's. Which was probably rude of her.
Her head turned slightly to take in the new Senshi and she was sure she fell in love with her at first sight. Floral adornments, hair pulled back, the air of a lady. It was everything Mintaka wanted to achieve. Okay maybe Failyn, not Mintaka but the feeling was mutual and carried between the two.
It was probably awkward for Flora to have some random Senshi girl staring at her, so Mintaka cleared her throat. "Demons." She nodded, "A lady would never swear..." She scoffed, "That is for crass and rude brutes. If you are going to be fighting an enemy, it's best to respect the origin and names they come from!" She blinked as the girl spoke on.
A bit hyper, but over all, very pretty and kind. And it didn't help that Mintaka was already a bit of a idolizer.
"A pleasure to meet you Senshi of Spring." Mintaka smiled at Flora, "My name is Mintaka, Senshi of Origami. I'm a bit new..." She murmured, her head dropping down to watch the streets. "Quiet nights should be the best? It means no enemies are about. It's just well....a bit boring." She sighed, "And a lady should never admit such activities are boring."

Well, now that she thought about it, Coralie; or also better known as Chibimoon, was Japanese, wasn't she? Which meant her parents, Prince Endymion and the Moon Princess too, were Japanese, right? It was strange to sudden realize that their origins (on this planet, at least) had been in a country far away from here. But now certainly wasn't the time to muse over the complicated past of the battle against Chaos over the millennia.
"Nice to meet you, Mintaka." Mmm, Senshi of Origami? It certainly was an interesting sphere, and Flora found herself wondering what kind of attack she had. "It's quite alright, you know. We were all new once." Though it had been four and a half years ever since she had been awakened, a long time for her to certainly not be considered new any longer. "I remember when I first started out and utterly panicked when a talking cat came up to me, and thought I was some magic secret undercover terrorist."
"It has been quiet lately, hasn't it?" Flora admitted, a soft smile playing upon her lips. It was certainly a reason why she didn't go on usual patrols; the energy signature was certainly quite a draw, and Flora didn't want to go about looking for a fight. "You certainly don't see many youma charging about and terrorizing people so brazenly anymore. I would certainly say it's a good thing, but it also feels... wrong somehow. Like the war is evolving. Somehow being more covert and sneaky but I'll suppose we'll never know what the other side is up to." She paused and gave a light shrug. "It doesn't mean we should stop training though. To be there when we're needed." Though sometimes Flora doubted that taking self defense classes as a civilian equated to real training for a senshi.

She smiled again, glad to know that the fellow Senshi was a polite one. Nothing made her happier then the ones that knew proper mannerisms. There was always time for such in a battle, and should in fact be taken seriously. Instead of fighting, eventually problems could be solved with a understanding and compromise! Well...if it was enemies not the Youma. Yokai. Whatever.
"It was strange!" Mintaka chuckled a little, "He was a bit of a grumpy cat, spitting the pen at me and telling me my origins. Uh, I haven't seen him since, but I am sure he's still around grumping at other Senshi." Abel...She'd have to find him again and remind herself why she was a Senshi in the first place. "I thought I was delusional from all my classes and such." She didn't delve much deeper then that, for safety of her identity.
"I hadn't thought of that." Mintaka sighed, looking down from her perch. "When I think of Youma..Yokai's? I think of them like wild animals, loose and feeding off what they can. It makes it easier for me to dispatch them." she looked down for a bit..."I'm pretty terrible with my attack as well, and I'm still confused on who are enemies. I've met one Negaverse general, but I haven't met any others. Are they enemies as well? People with a similar goal but different method?" Mintaka looked over at Flora, "Did you have to figure this out by yourself as well?"

Well, it certainly sounded a lot like her own awakening. Grumpy cat? Check. Barging into someone's life and shoving a pen at them? Check. "Most of the guardian cats, at least the ones I've met, seem pretty grumpy actually. Astraea; she's the one who awakened me, was really grumpy about it. And I suppose Chloe's nice, but she also is grumpy at times..." Though she supposed she couldn't blame the Siamese when Lyra had fallen. There was a slight flicker of pain across her face at the thought, but Flora took a deep breath and continued. "And Zue, the Zodiac cat? Totally a fluffy grumpbutt." And Chloe and Zue together in the same place? Yeah, Flora was never going to let that happen again, after the both of them practically fought to be the one to power her up.
"It does take a while to get used to your own attacks." She agreed. Especially when they themselves had no clue until the instinct to yell out the name kicked in, and it just simply... happened before their very eyes. "And well..." Who was the enemy indeed? There was once that she was sure that those with aura not like theirs were all enemies, but now, it all certainly seemed quite complicated.
"Well, there's the Negaverse, obviously. And they've corrupted some Senshi over to their side as well. And there's also the Dark Mirror Court, who can travel through mirrors. I'm not entirely sure about the relationship between the Negaverse and the DMC, but corrupted senshi and dark mirror senshi seem to be quite different so..." Yeah, all of this was definitely quite complicated. Ares of the Mirror Court had been someone she had known once. The Mirror Court had once been allied with them, when Wiseman had been around.
"But like how they've corrupted people on our side, there's been some who've been purified of the Chaos energy as well. So I suppose the larger enemy is really Chaos?" After that, Flora expelled a deep sigh and then glanced over to Mintaka sheepishly. "I'm sorry. This must be a lot to take in, isn't it?"

"Perhaps a requirement for being a Guardian cat. Must be grumpy. Must not be cute. Must be fluffy with attitude." Mintaka teased, briefly noticing that Flora had a moment of...what she assumed was a painful memory. Geniunely, she felt bad, but then Flora bounced back and had Mintaka smiling again.
"Senshi can corrupt?" Mintaka's eyes widened, "That's...quite...confusing." she laughed awkwardly. "It sounds like we have more enemies then we do allies." She rubbed her face.
"I'm not even sure of the goal, if we are being honest. Chaos, order. Negaverse and Dark mirror Senshis and Corrupted? It sounds..." She looked over at Flora, managing her best polite poker face. "It seems like more chaos then order in the scheme of things."
She sighed, "Do we have leaders? On our side?"

"Well on the flip side, it seems like Knights and Senshi can be purified." Of course, she wasn't too clear on the exact mechanics. The only people she knew that had been purified included Lina, and she supposed that Chibimoon was technically included in the mix as well. Technically. "It still seems pretty imbalanced yeah; this war is quite confusing, though. And I've had my henshin pen for quite a while." She also had been out of the loop lately. Flora had certainly not kept up with any news as to what the Negaverse was up to, or even what the Order faction on the whole were planning.
"Well, we do technically have leaders, yes! There are Princesses," and they had a Prince once, but Castor was away and overseas along with his brother, "Princess Iris, Princess Polaris, and Princess Chibimoon, the daughter of Princess Serenity was even around for a while!" And of course, Flora had saved the best for last, face brightening up considerably. "And there's also Princess Chronos of the Zodiacs! She's my Princess, cause she's the Lady of the Seasons, and the Season Senshi are included in her Court along with the Zodiacs, of course."
"But," she added solemnly. "White Moon Senshi and other Knights don't exactly have an allegiance to any of the Princesses, so we are... quite scattered and disorganized."

Mintaka absorbed all the information she could about these senshi and negaverse. Corrupting, purifying. It was pretty black and white, and it didn't seem a neutral stance was allowed. It was either Chaos...or it was Order. But not a grey in between.
"Princess Iris, Princess Polaris." She blinked, "I've only heard of the White moon Princess through other sources." She rubbed her arms. With so many princesses, why didn't it seem that the side of order would be more...well orderly. It was still confusing to her, but she didn't want to bother Flora to explain why Senshi did not choose a princess to serve under. She was with the mindset that they were the army and the princesses like General-kings.
"How do courts work?" She looked at Flora again, "For you to belong in a court, how does that work? Do you draw power from your princess?"

"I knew of them when I saw them at senshi meetings." Then again, Flora had only met her Princess at one of those very events. Outside of that, any other meetings were purely up to chance, after all.
Though actually, she had fought alongside Iris once, a long time ago, before the latter had been even awakened as a Princess.
"Well, we do get a power boost from one of the Princess' powers." Of course, she wasn't quite sure if it applied to the other courts as well. "For the Zodiacs, it basically is just that the Princess is our Princess." How did she could she even explain this, she wondered. The connection to the Princess was something that had just... pinged in her when they had met face to face. It was a sense of obligation and respect and Flora didn't think it was quite so easy a concept to grasp, especially when one wasn't part of a court.
She had once thought she was just a free agent, just like the other White Moon Senshi, after all. "Princess Chronos is the holder of the Opal Crystal of Protection and we, well... actually, I suppose it all really started back in our past lives. The Zodiacs held the line at the Surrounding, protecting the Sol System from Chaos monsters, and the Seasons were the Princess' handmaidens. The Knights came from Earth to help in the efforts, but... obviously, in the end, we lost. And now we're all here."

"Senshi's have meetings?" Mintaka's face totally dropped, "I've never even heard of such a thing and I've been a senshi for almost a year!"
And only active for a couple of months of that time.
"I see." Mintaka looked thoughtful, "Would I be able to meet your princess one day?"

Flora waved a hand dismissively in the air, "Oh it's fine; I've probably missed a few while I was on hiatus, really." Besides, if anything was extremely important, she'd probably hear it from Zue or the Princess. "We get bulletins on our phones when one is set up. It's mostly just been to attempt to get us all organized and take suggestions for things and stuff like that."
"I could take you to her, yes!" The blond girl beamed. "She's usually up at the Surrounding, so bonus! You'll get to see the Zodiac Castle as well!" Or what was left of it, but it really wasn't in too much ruins.

"Oh...Our phones?" She pulled hers out and stared at it, "I thought this thing was useless! I didn't...I didn't realize it did anything more?" She would have to start playing with the thing to figure it out.
Her gaze widened again.
"Su..Surrounding?" She blinked, "Zodiac castle, Oh my dear, how do you...how do you..." Her hands flew around. "What's your castle like?"
