Welcome to the marks shop, where posts become pets!
Twee tagline aside, yes, posting in the guild gives you points that you can use to buy things, and here be the rules/how things work:
- Your credit or deficit added to your post count is how many marks you have to spend at any one time.
- Prices and availability of all items is subject to change, but if a change is incoming we will announce it.
- Marks are sometimes given away as rewards so in some cases you may have a running credit rather than deficit.
- You cannot give away marks to help somebody save up for a purchase.
- You can buy something for another person, you just need to give us their username and make sure they’re happy with you doing so!
- If you try to guilt people into buying you things, or sigh over how much you want that gold firelizard and player X just has so many posts they have never used, we will hit you with the pink mallet of doom. Hard.
- If you make excessive OOC posts in the guild you may be docked marks. Most OOC chat should be dealt with outside of the guild. Plot threads are fine, making character journals is fine and posting IC journal entries and so on in them is awesome, but lots of ‘reserved’ posts or for example taking a new post just to post the link to an RP will be frowned upon and the pink mallet will be waved at you. Basically just be reasonable and it’s all good.
- Please remember all characters will have to go through standard approval.

Example: In this example Concinnity Blaise has 650 posts in the guild, she has never spent any of them. She posts the following form:
Concinnity Blaise Which player is the purchase for?: Me! What are you buying?: Mediumish firelizard egg and Extra flitt slot. All for Rensoua. Rensoua has only one firelizard at present, so the flitt slot is for her second. How much does it cost in total? 120 + 100 = 220
Her post is then quoted and a d100 is rolled. The result of the roll is 74
Dragonbraved Concinnity Blaise Which player is the purchase for?: Me! What are you buying?: Mediumish firelizard egg and Extra flitt slot. All for Rensoua. Rensoua has only one firelizard at present, so the flitt slot is for her second. How much does it cost in total? 120 + 100 = 220 Congrats on your purchase! The firelizard in Rensoua’s egg is a blue!Cost of items purchased: 220 Your running deficit is: 220.

Available Items
Firelizards - N.B.! Firelizards are rare, expensive, luxury pets - even a small egg costs as much as most adults make in an entire turn.They are also psychic beasties in your head and for both of these reasons few people have more than one is quite rare; apart from the wealth it requires (firelizards very seldom clutch up north, so most people will have to buy from a breeder down south when they want one) having a large number of firelizards becomes a literal headache from the overload of information.
- Small firelizard egg: 100 posts. Daww, look at this little thing! This egg has a 65% chance of hatching into a green, 30% blue, 5% brown. You may request a guaranteed green, please state at the time of purchase. (1-65. 66-95. 96-100)
- Mediumish firelizard egg: 120 posts. Kind of averageish size. This egg has a 20% chance of hatching into a green, 60% blue, and 20% brown. You may request a guarenteed blue, please state at the time of purchase. (1-20. 21-81. 81-100)
- Largeish firelizard egg: 150 posts. On the large end of the scale. This egg has a 20% of chance of hatching into a blue, 70% brown, 10% bronze. You may request a guaranteed brown, please state at the time of purchase. (1-20. 21-90. 91-100)
- Large firelizard egg: 180 posts. This is a biggun! This egg has a 49% chance of hatching into a brown, 50% bronze, 1% twins! You may opt out of the chance of twins in which case a roll of 100 would be a bronze. If twins are rolled their colours will be rolled separately using the 'random firelizard egg' percentages below. For the purposes of flitt slots twin flitts count as one firelizard! (1-49. 50-99. 100)
- Twin firelizard egg: 500 posts. Woah, this egg is massive! This egg contains twin firelizards. Their colours will be rolled separately using the 'random firelizard egg' percentages below. For the purposes of flitt slots twin flitts count as one firelizard!
- Golden firelizard egg: 600 posts. Yep, it’s gold alright!
- Random firelizard egg: 120 posts. Size is an illusion. This egg has a 50% chance of hatching into a green, 30% blue, 15% brown, 5% bronze (1-50. 50-79. 80-94. 95-100)
- Tweak the flitt dice: 30 posts. Purchasable after a firelizard egg colour roll! Add or subtract 10% from the result. This means for example if you bought a largeish egg and were rolled 81 you could turn it into a 91 if you wanted a bronze. You may purchase up 30% tweak per egg, which would cost 90 posts. Sorry, this option cannot be used to acquire 1% chances.
- Extra flitt slot: starting price 100 posts. All characters start out with one 'slot' for a firelizard. You can fill this with a flitt won from a game, bred, bought here, etc. Once a character has a flitt however if you want to give them more you must first buy a slot! First extra slot (allows up to two flitts) costs 100 posts, second (three flitts) 300, third (four flitts) 450, fourth (five flitts) 600. Prices beyond this can be negotiated if anyone gets that far! N.B. if you have a character who is Grandfathered in with more than one firelizard and you want to give them another you must unlock the correct ‘level’, i.e. you will need to pay 300 posts if you came in with two firelizards and want a third.
Whers
- Adult chromatic: 60 posts. A green, blue or brown wher which will be attached to a newly made character. You write the wher and choose the colour. No re-impression whers without the re-impression optional purchase.
- Adult bronze: 100 posts. A bronze wher which will be attached to a newly made character. You write the wher. No re-impression whers without the re-impression optional purchase.
- Re-impression: 20 posts. This addition allows you to attach an adult wher bought to an eligible existing character as a re-impression or to state that a newly made character's wher previously had a different handler. Adult whers acquired through other methods can be re-impressions without the purchase of this option. Please note that existing characters must be suitable for bonding, acquiring a wher generally requires an apprenticeship first!
- Small wher egg: 60 posts. A small wher egg. Can be attached to a new character or an eligible existing one. You write the wher once colour is decided. 55% chance of green, 35% blue, 10% brown. You may request a guaranteed green, please state at the time of purchase.
Medium wher egg: 80 posts. A medium wher egg. Can be attached to a new character or an eligible existing one. You write the wher once colour is decided. 35% chance of blue, 50% brown, 5% bronze. You may request a guarenteed blue or brown, please state at the time of purchase.
- Large wher egg: 100 posts. A big wher egg! Can be attached to a new character or an eligible existing one. You write the wher once colour is decided. 40% chance of brown, 60% chance of bronze. No colour guarantee option.
- Tweak the wher dice: 50 posts. Purchasable after a wher egg colour roll! Add or subtract 10% from the result. You may purchase up 30% tweak per egg, which would cost 150 posts.
- Staff written wher: 10 posts. Provide the staff with a character and they will write a wher for them! This option is available with the purchase of any adult or egg.
Dragons
- Adult chromatic: 150 posts. A green, blue or brown dragon which will be attached to a newly made character. You write the dragon and choose the colour.
- Adult bronze: 500 posts. A bronze dragon which will be attached to a newly made character. You write the dragon.
- Staff written adult dragon: 30 posts. Staff will write your purchased adult dragon, you just need to provide a written profile for their rider. You can also give a few keywords, things you would like to see or like avoided. Staff will do their best to write a dragon they think you will like but bear in mind that we are not (completely) psychic!
- Hatchlingification!: 150 posts. Your purchased dragon will be placed into a hatching of your choice and can Impress to an existing candidate of yours or to a new candidate you write especially to match the dragon. To give a couple of examples: for 300 posts you can write yourself a custom green, blue or brown dragon and place it in the next but one clutch (adult chromatic + hatchlingification); or for 680 posts you can secure a staff written bronze dragon for a candidate of your choice at the next hatching (adult bronze + hatchlingification + staff written adult dragon). You cannot use this option to secure a reimpression for a dragonless character. You can use this option to purchase an Impression for characters age 21 and 22 who have aged out of candidacy or who just happen to be at a hatching (and suitable to Impress) but only with the addition of the 'aged out' option below.
- Guaranteed Impression: 300 posts. A candidate of your choice is guaranteed to Impress at the next hatching (or a later hatching if you prefer). There is no guarantee on colour. The dragon will be staff written. You cannot use this option to secure a reimpression for a dragonless character. You can use this option to purchase an Impression for characters age 21 and 22 who have aged out of candidacy or who just happen to be at a hatching (and suitable to Impress) but only with the addition of the 'aged out' option below.
- Aged out Impression: 100 posts. Add this onto a Guaranteed Impression or to a Custom + Hatchlingification to allow a character aged 21 or 22 to Impress from the stands.
Misc
- New! Strange Egg: 250 posts. There's something odd about this one.... Add to any egg item, i.e a firelizard egg or wher egg of any size, or a hatchling dragon custom, or guaranteed Impression. There will be something out of the ordinary about whatever hatches! To give an example of the sort of thing that is possible, a dragon such as Horteth with his polydactyl could potentially have come from such an egg. You do not get to choose what the abnormality is but as it is a thing that you are paying marks for we promise to try to make it fun!
Examples so far:
- A bioluminescent firelizard.
- A piebald brown and blue firelizard.
Adoptions
Adopting any creature from the adoption list costs 50% of a custom adoption, so for e.g. a baby chromatic wher would be 30 posts, and a baby chromatic dragon 75 or a baby metallic dragon 250 posts.
