Name: Navi
Age: 14
Gender: Male

Appearance:

Try as he might (and he will try), Navi's appearance is not the least bit imposing. He is, frankly, tiny. The only way he would look frightening to anyone is if he had a knife to their throat. Unless doomed to be small forever, Navi is likely just several growth spurts behind his peers, and may yet be (reasonably) tall, or such is his eternal hope.

Personality: Navi is a sensitive person, easily angered, easily embarrassed, easily upset. Yet he overcompensates for this by acting excecssively emotionless around other people. He has a pragmatic

It's not that he's never happy, he just has his guard up around other people. Once you get past it, you'll find he can be a little friendlier and a lot more fun, although he still likes using sarcasm and insults as a way of (good naturedly) mocking people.

Navi has always had difficulty forming bonds with his peers, something he knows reflects poorly on his prospects as a future rider, which is why he's trying to correct it. Although, perhaps not in the way he should. Instead of opening up and trusting people, he uses insults, apathy, and sarcasm as tools for navigating social situations. Yet despite his desire for peer approval, Navi is usually the first to bail when he feels a joke's been taken too far. His need to be accepted makes him somewhat susceptible to peer pressure, but in the end his conscious always gets the better of him.

Navi is keenly in tune to people's emotions. His empathy is off the scale, to the point where it is difficult for him to separate himself from the emotions of others. He feels their pain as though it were his own and it bothers him, sometimes more than the person themselves.

He is extremely hard on himself in general. Having parents that nurtured his talents gave him confidence, but it also gave him a lot of pressure to succeed. He is a perfectionist to the highest degree. This kid just won't take a compliment, but neither will he stand to be unfairly criticized. He has confidence, just not heaps of it. And while he's keenly aware of things he does wrong, he also knows what he's good at, and won't let anyone tell him otherwise.

Although nonconfrontational, Navi is not cowardly. He'll defend himself when necessary, and is willing to fight if it's something worth fighting for. It's just that, if there's a way to avoid an argument, he'll take it. Yet deep beneath his callous exterior and soft interior, sleeps a vengeful spirit, just waiting for someone to go far enough to awaken it.He prefers to think of it less as holding a grudge and more as dispensing swift and justifiable retribution.

Navi is really not much of a leader. He's able to follow orders, or he can work alone, but doesn't like to be put command. It's not his decisions that he lacks confidence in but his people skills. He can't believe that he would be the kind of leader that anyone would follow. When it comes to taking orders, if it's someone he trusts/respects, he'll follow them without question. If not, or if he thinks they're wrong, he'll still do what he's told, but he may also be tempted to take matters into his own hands, working extra in his own time if he has too. He is as suspicious of people in command as he is anyone, and just add guarded. He knows if their idea doesn't work, there's still every chance that he'll get the blame for it, yet if his idea pans out, the credit will likely go someone else.

He is naive in his ideals, but coming to understand that the world doesn't work that way. He still believes that hard work and talent should stand for themselves, that anyone should be able to work their way onto the first wing, regardless of color, gender, or connections. It's not something he argues or tries to impose, but he continues live by these beliefs and waits hopefully for the universe to prove him right.
