The average sized leopard male yawned lazily as he positioned himself comfortably on a thick tree branch. One paw crossed over the other and his black and green head laid over them both. Heavy eyelids drooped halfway down to give the male a sleepy appearance. His tail swayed slightly to warn others that might approach that he was actually awake. He was struggling to wake up after a restful night. What the day would bring, he could only imagine and hope that it was more interesting than the day before.
In a split second, the day was beginning to get more interesting. The scent of a fresh kill hung in the air and the leopard couldn't help but feel his stomach rumble. Another lazy yawn overcame the leopard as he stretched out his front legs and dug his claws into the branch holding him up. After smelling the air, Diya jumped down from the branch and landed softly in some tall grass. Quickly, Diya followed his sense of smell towards where the female was traveling from.
Something orange, black and white caught the male's attention and a smile soon overcame his features.
"Well, well... what is this?" A female... he could smell her faintly under the overwhelming scent of blood. He quickly traveled closer and closer to the tricolored female.
