While dating wasn't a usual occurrence in Katrina's life, she had never come to dislike the practice. That's why, when she had attended the birthday party of a friend and begun talking to a rather interesting man, she had no problem agreeing to meet him again. He was well educated and held a good job, and she appreciated his talent in keeping the peace. So she stood just inside of the theater, wearing a simple outfit but determined to keep out of the wind in the fear that her hair would get tangled and strands would fall from the braid she kept them in. There was a small sort of boutique beneath the theater, so she could be easily occupied until Nicolo arrived. Her gaze immediately found the section of knick-knacks, where a selection of superhero inspired action figures stood on a shelf full of pencils, pens, and stationary. Stepping further into the building, she found a bin full of clearance items. Shifting through the pile, she opened a few containers of hand lotions to sniff and smiled at a few of the more ridiculous paper weights. One in particular made her pause her idle searching. It was a purple glass diamond, and although she knew it would probably look tacky anywhere in her apartment, she was considering purchasing it; The item was only fifty cents and it was her favorite color...sighing, she set it back. Waiting for her date to arrive was definitely not the time to impulse buy, as it really was a horrible habit.

Running a little late, the blonde man ran a hand through his hair as he finally arrived at the theater. A date had been arranged with a lovely women he had met at a party, and while dating wasn't normally something he participated in, he was too intrigued by the lovely woman to pass up the opportunity to see her again. Taking a moment to straighten his collar, he pulled open the door to the large theater building. The sleeves of his white and green pinstriped shirt were neatly folded up to his elbows, and his slacks were neatly pressed; the divide in his closet between work clothes and casual clothes was wide, and he wanted to at least be presentable on their first date, and chose to forgo a t-shirt and jeans. Scanning the area, his eyes stopped on the young woman picking through a bin of items, and he made his way towards her. "Sorry I'm late. There was an issue with some paperwork, and I had to fix it before I could leave the office." he had stopped quickly at his apartment to change shirts before rushing to the theater, though he was really only a couple minutes behind schedule. Luckily, there was still plenty of time, and he adjusted his glasses as he looked down at what his companion had been looking at.

Hearing a voice address her, Katrina broke her gaze away from the bin of items to acknowledge Nicolo's arrival. "I understand." She flashed a smile, her expression friendly as she joked, "You really aren't that late, but I'm glad you got here before I could buy the first twenty things to catch my attention." She looked back to the bin once more, knowing that the items would remain there a little while longer. It would be better if some tourist bought the knick knacks anyway as souvenirs; the more income and publicity the town had, the better.

Turning to face her date, she took in his slacks and shirt, the sleeves rolled up attractively to his elbows. "You look nice." Silently, she was thankful for the fact that she had chosen to wear something that didn't make her appear under dressed in comparison. Smiling faintly, she took a step away from the bin, adjusting her scarf absently before checking the time on her watch. They still had ten minutes before the movie was set to run, giving them a comfortable amount of time to get snacks and good seats. Turning to face the concession counter, she glanced up to Nicolo to ask him, "Are you a popcorn person or candy person?"

{ooc: It didn't actually occur to me what movie they would see until this moment. Therefore, I am pawning the responsibility of choosing on you. >w>}

Letting out a small chuckle at her joke, he was pleased that he hadn't been so late as to cause irritation. Tucking one hand into his pocket, he glanced briefly at the trinkets in question; they were cute little items, and would certainly make nice gifts for travelers to bring home. Shifting his glance towards their destination, he used his free hand to adjust his glasses. Staring at screens for an extended period of time had often given him headaches in the past, but he would deal with it tonight. There was pleasant company, a good movie, and the promise of good snacks.

He flashed a smile at her compliment, returning it smoothly. He had always been partial to floral prints, and the outfit was neat without being too casual or too dressy; he hoped he wasn't too overdressed, but he didn't think band shirts were appropriate for an adult first date. He was glad he had settled on a collared shirt, as he supposed he would have been fine either way; whether Katrina had chosen to dress up or down, he wouldn't have looked too inappropriate. Checking his own watch as she did, he gave a nod of agreement about the time. Beginning to move towards where they would be purchasing tickets and snacks, he didn't hesitate at her question. "Oh popcorn, definitely." it was the classic movie time snack, and he was a sucker for the classics. "Though I'm not averse to candy either."

Smiling as he admitted to preferring popcorn, she was glad to have at least this one thing in common. She believed that there was no comparison in enjoying a bucket of buttery popcorn over a box of milk duds or the like. "Good," she said, "I think the only time I chose candy over popcorn was when I was sixteen. I watched one of the Saw movies and I haven't eaten a milk dud since." she explained, a small laugh escaping her as she added guiltily, "Or been able to watch a horror flick, but that's not the point." Reaching the counter, she spoke to the concessionist, asking for two tickets and a tub of popcorn. It was actually rather convienant, being able to purchase everything needed for a movie in one place; it seemed odd that the larger cities didn't do the same. Once that was paid for, she checked her watch once more. With five minutes left, they approached the usher, who tore off the unneeded half of paper and explained which house was showing their movie. Nodding, as there were only five houses and not much opportunity to get lost, Kat stepped past the man with Nicolo.

Once they were seated and settled, Katrina leaned back, wondering if this movie would live up to its hype. It had recieved several good reviews, and more than one friend had recommended it, but she had seen her share of flops over time. Yet, when the previews began, she couldn't help but have a small smile; an interesting movie, popcorn, and great company was a promising evening.

Pleased that there would be no fight over popcorn and candy, he laughed at her literal horror story about candy. That would definitely ruin candy for a while, especially when it occurred at such an age. Milk Duds were certainly good, and he made a note not to partake in them in his companion's presence. Honestly, he wasn't sure how someone could choose candy over the classic popcorn, and he would use this story if he ever got into a debate over it; obviously, choosing candy led to mental scarring. "And that is why you should always choose popcorn." he argued, amusement clear in his voice. Taking back the half of the tickets offered, he followed at a half step behind his date; he had never been to the movies in his time in the town, and was not totally sure where each theater was located. Letting her pick the seats, he had no real preference for seats as long as the weren't too far forward, he settled himself in the seat next to her. Previews hadn't quite finished as they settled into their seats, and he took a small handful of popcorn to eat as they continued to roll; he had never been able to wait until the actual movie started, as the snack was far too tempting.

Once the movie ended, Kat looked down to the popcorn tub. It was empty, finished between the two of them, so she tossed the container into the trash one the way out of the theater. Smiling as they walked into the hallway, she asked, "How'd you like it?" She'd enjoyed it, having always been a fan of comedies. The genre was entirely underrated, since making people laugh always seemed like a harder feat than making an audience cry or something similar. As they continued to walk, she considered their options for dinner, but since she was unsure of his tastes, she would let him choose. Janhall wasn't a vastly large town, but it did have a selection of food places. Once they arrived to where they had started, she motioned outside, toward the sidewalks as she spoke, "Any place you'd like to eat at?" if he was unsure, they could walk along the boulevard, where most of the restaurants were located.

{ooc: Sounded like a good idea~
Also, I threw in the idea that they had planned dinner. Seemed fitting.}

Stretching his legs as the movie ended, he stood as she did. "I thought it was pretty good." he admitted, using one hand to tousle his hair. He wasn't sure how much he liked that Zac Efron guy, but the movie was actually better than he had originally thought. He was a fan of comedies, and this one hadn't disappointed. "I've always wondered how safe it is to put airbags under seats. It seems highly dangerous." which, he supposed, was part of the humor. He followed her out of the theater, one hand tucked neatly in is pocket. The urge to smoke was making him itch, but doing such would be rude when he was unaware of his companion's opinion on smoking.

The idea of food was an excellent one, as the popcorn had only reminded him that it had been several hours since he had had an actual meal. "I'm feeling Italian." he spoke thoughtfully, the hand not in his pocket adjusting his glasses. "Unless you'd prefer somewhere else...?" he was willing to make decisions, but he wasn't about to push if she didn't like Italian, or wanted to eat somewhere else. Italian food always seemed like a good fall back, a classic date type restaurant that was almost always in supply, though he had once dated someone who was not partial to Italian food, and so he would be considerate until he knew more about her personal preferences.

{{I personally chat all through movies, but Nicolo isn't the type to do that on a first date.
Excellent plan.}}

Smiling as he spoke about his opinion of the movie, she nodded in agreement. Listening as he questioned the safety of putting an airbag under a seat, she told him, "I'm sure it's safe. As a nurse, I recommend it for all your joking needs." Doing her best to keep a straight face as she continued, her tone light as she said, "But the other four out of five nurses would probably disagree with me. He did go through a ceiling." Granted, he had also gone straight up, so Kat chalked it all up to just being a comedy, and a good one at that.

Readjusting her scarf, she watched as he fixed his glasses, considering the question of where to eat. Italian sounded like a good idea, since she had never known anyone who didn't care for some sort of Italian dish. And the fact that their local Italian place was only a block away was a definite bonus. Smiling, she nodded in agreement with the suggestion. "Italian would be great." Exiting with Nicolo, she glanced down the street and then back to him before asking with a small smile, "Shall I lead the way, or have you finished exploring the town?"

{ooc: I haven't seen this movie, but I get the gist from commercials cx
and I'm ashamed to admit that I still have not seen Highschool Musical.

Yes, yes. I am brilliant at plan-making.}

Letting a light laugh escape his lips, he was slightly surprised at her professional advice. "I will be sure to keep that in mind next time Mike steals my lunch from the fridge." he referenced one of their mutual friends, the one who had originally insisted that he attend the party where the couple had met. Said friend was also, unfortunately, a notorious lunch thief that only rarely paid him back, and only then in cheap cigarettes. If you were going to spend the money on an expensive habit like smoking, you might as well hand over the extra few dollars to get the better ones.

Pleased that his suggestion of Italian had been taken well, he began to walk in the general direction of the restaurant. At her question, he almost faltered in his confidence. "I have a basic understanding of the town layout." he defended himself, fidgeting with his glasses again. "But I think it might be safer if you led the way." he conceded, traces of a smile still present on his face. The man had only moved there in the past few months, and while he had been taking every occasion to go out and explore the town, getting to and from places that weren't his apartment were still not quite his strong suit.

Shaking her head as Mike was mentioned, she laughed lightly before adding, "He keeps visiting my apartment when I'm not there and then raiding my fridge." she sighed, remembering the last time she had returned late from work. "And then when I demand payback, he offers me cheap yogurt. He's like my college roommate." she grinned as they continued to walk, the air surprisingly warm for the heavy breeze. "I think it would be rather hard to get lost, but for the sake of our stomachs, I'll lead." she said in response to his answer. The town may be small, but she didn't want to test the theory of how small just yet. Taking hold of his hand lightly, she casually led him down the block. Katrina had always been talented at finding ways to break the touch barrier, although she did have the excuse of being able to read emotions. Not that she would be analyzing this situation before they got to the restaurant.

Shaking his head at the story of Mike and his stealing of food, he let out a low sigh. "He's done the same with me, though with cheap cigarettes. Really, man, I have standards." it wasn't that big of a deal, else he'd have played an awful trick on the man by now, but it was still such an annoyance. He thought back to his own college roommate, a young man that spent most of his time smoking weed in their dorm room and eating everything in sight, and he had to agree a bit there, though likely for different reasons. He chose not to comment on his uncanny ability to get himself lost, instead letting her take the lead, and apparently his hand. Smooth. He almost laughed to himself, letting it go without comment. Nicolo wasn't usually the one to make first moves, at least not in relationships where he was serious, and was quietly pleased that she had taken the initiative. "I think that might be best." he agreed, letting her show him the way.

Danny smiled wryly at her question, "Yeah, I've already have the whole books memorized, so I have no problem with it." He replied to her with a light smile as he walked with her through the rain. He still maintained the barrier that kept spirits away and he had noticed her reaction to the lack of spirits around. If one experienced with magic enough were to see him, they'd see the male continuously releasing mana just to maintain that barrier to keep the spirits away and to keep it mobile as he walked with his date. He hummed a bit as the rain continued to fall around them, unable to get the wet as they neared the Cinemas. "Ah, looks like we're already here~." He said with a light smile as he looked at Kalula, they had barely walked for two to three minutes and already arrived at the Cinemas. Still casually and gently pulling Kalula along at her pace, they entered inside the building and once again, the magic around Kalula disappeared so that she wouldn't be overheated, but he kept the barrier running so no spirits could bother them. "So, where here are we waiting for your friends at, Kalula?" He asked her curiously a kind smile, wanting her to lead the way if she knew where to wait.

Axel nodded his head waited for the siren to accompany him to his car. Once inside, the two drove off. Between the small talk, Axel's mind seemed to be trying to warn him of something. These, "warnings" were becoming a common occurrence now. With his telekinetic powers, the hood found it beneficial to keep his mind sharp. Like a body builder going to the gym constantly, Axel read books and participated in intellectual activities. Strange, considering how a few years ago, he would have used the internet or TV for simple nonsense.

What was this feeling he was having. The hood's brain was felt this need to piece together strange clues. First, the man from beach, giving them two free tickets to the movies. Then Rose's roommates inviting them to a double date at the movies? These event couldn't be connected, could they? Rose's roommate's date wasn't going to be that guy was it?! Axel's face grew stern underneath his hood as they pulled up to the cinema and walked to the door.
