The key he'd found on the beach was obviously, to a lock. And, he wasn't the type of person who liked to just go around trying to barge his way into another's privacy. Marcus didn't think it was his place, nor, was it in his objective to go where he likely shouldn't be anyway. So with little to go on and with a healthy dose of 'I don't want to give an keys to Mark or Someone who I don't trust very well and is not my division' He went looking for the person who he felt was better suited to turn the key into. Edith. He also figured it was a safe bet the key belonged to moon, a tiny moon symbol on the head. lizbot Text to Edith: Recovered a key on the beach to an unknown lock. Figured it would be best returned to you as it bears the moon insignia. Is there a preferred date and location to drop this off with you?

Now, Marcus had never formally, been to Edith's office. She'd told him her office was where she was at any given moment. This had Marcus realizing three things. One, she probably did have an actual office and he had just never bothered to actually look for it. Two, asap meant as soon as possible and thus he needed to find said office quickly. Three, he was going to have to cheat and ask someone. Ten minutes later he was at what he was told was an office. Supposedly Edith's. He knew at the very least that it wasn't Mark or Caelius's or H's or Lance's, but- He'd paid a guy five bucks and one bottle of blue moon for the info and so he hoped it was legit. "Miss Carr?" He knocked on the door, hoping he'd not just been conned out of his five bucks and a blue moon. Blue moon was good stuff after all. "I brought the key Ma'am."

Edith was on an elliptical, sweating and pushing herself like she had been on there for hours. And very likely she had. "Let me see it," she panted, not bothering to stop or even slow.

At this point, Marcus had stopped questioning things that leads did. If they had something, did something well. That's just how things were going to be. Pulling the key from his pocket he handed it over, glad he at least cleaned it of sand and sea salt. "Thought it better given to you than attempt to break into a place that probably was locked for a reason." Like maybe that was where Julie had kept her 'cooking' experiments. Marcus hoped not. (He also just made himself mildly sad)

Taking the offered key, she held it up with a frown. "It's a car key..." She went quiet as she continued to work out, expression turning inward as she obviously thought about just what it went to. The island didn't have many vehicles.

A car key but- He opened his mouth, closed i, then figured it was better to ask than not. "It's not uh, Davey's cart key is it?" He hadn't seen the man in ages, but he still knew that they guy had his own personal golf cart once upon a time.

With a grimace, Edith answered, "Case wanted to have a food cart, but never finished the modifications to the van when..." The lead cut off with a shrug. "Thanks for returning it, Hasan."

There was one 'Case' that Marcus was familiar with, and his expression went from slightly confused, to mildly guilty and a bit sad at the same time. "Ah." He almost left hesitating turning away before his own curiosity won out. "If you don't mind me asking, what kind of food cart was it and, what did she plan to do with a food cart?"

"Just some van, don't think modifications got far enough to make it run on runics." She gave him a flat look and explained succinctly, "Cook and sell food."

That made him frown. "Well, yes, but, Julie had... actually yeah, that makes sense. Julie was pretty..inventive." It felt odd to talk of her like that, past tense, yet strangely casual, as if she had a greater impact then she really did on him. Part of her charm, the fact she'd just been so openhearted and die as she had still left him with a bitter taste in his mouth. A tiny sigh he gave into his curiosity. "Mind if I check it out sometime? I didn't know we ever had a van... or an almost food cart. Maybe could get it running, use for training or something? Or just finish it, have a food cart for bringing in a little extra funding for some moon projects."

She stayed quiet a long time, still working herself intensely, and then finally nodded and gave Marcus a firm look, full of I'm gonna judge you so hard with this, Hasan. Edith tossed him back the key, "Storage unit 14."

He was surpirsed she was just letting him do something. But then, her look was pretty clear that he was going to be watched. And judged. And that he better not ******** anything up. "I'll.. let you know what I find." He nodded his head at her before leaving the room. He wasn't sure how to otherwise say 'thanks for letting me go look through and at stuff that belonged to Julie' but he did try. He sent a moon trainee over with a small box of twinkles, a bottle of hot sauce, and a food syringe about two hours later. Mostly because he didn't know how to make an 'Edith approved' protein shake yet.
