Nightstalker flashed a grin over her shoulder as she bounded through the trees. Her dear soquili was otherwise occupied with her mate and as any good familiar would, Nightstalker was making herself scarce. Besides, she needed to go hunting and her poor Sonja, though she tried to play the tough girl, was more than a little squeamish when Stalker went out to pick up dinner. So here she was, a mountain lion in the prime of her life looking after a little herd of birdy horses. And Boy did they need someone to look after them... Nightstalker wasn't there for the walker attack, that was before her time. But she still saw the scars on worry wart and knew he still had nightmares about it (though he was doing a pretty impressive job keeping that fact from the rest of the herd). She also knew the cubs in that group needed someone to watch over them like she kept an eye on Sonja. She really couldn't be 3 places at once and though the young stallion in the family was cool headed those girls were something else...
But for the next hour or so they weren't her immediate concern. She sniffed the air tentatively and caught the scent of a doe somewhere deeper in the forest. "That'll work," she muttered to herself and took off after it.
