Notchwood lies on the very edge of the border between The Wilds of South Occulas and the eastern edge of the Land of Crows. There are several small hills and the grass is green and healthy. Nearer the border, you can see the remnants of The Shade where the ground is permanently scarred with darkness in a long, straight, thick line. A lot of people come here because of it's unique trees that have a cube-like trunk shape, and muddy-brown bark with the greenest of green leaves.

Travelling from the abandoned Inkwell to Notchwood wasn't as bad as Nyru had expected. The first half of the journey was what he had to get used to, time seemed to drag at a snails pace, the entire time all he could think about was what the Therians would be like, he had to be honest, they didn't really cover them in any classes in the Land of Crows. It was mainly stories and folklore rounding off assumptions of what the Prince of Crows did to them. He knew they were Magic Earth humans that split off after the Great Voyage, they would lock their city gates on a full moon and that was it. But after the Prince of Crows assumed control with Declasia... everyone was lead to believe they just... vanished.
Now they were going to see them. A few hours ago they crossed the border, Nyru had to admit it was always a weird feeling going through the remains of The Shade, the giant shadow that used to block off the country. Now it was like a shadowy scar than ran along the ground as if someone had charred all the land on one side. Like stepping from night to day, almost. It took them an entire day and night to get here, it was early midday right now, last night was simple, Nyru personally spent the night balancing on a tree branch. And all this time they had managed to avoid the search parties. Nyru kicked a rock across the grassy floor, like many before it rolled along the ground and often jumped in a random direction. But this time it stopped with a hollow thud as it hit something, looking up he saw a tree, it was on the outskirts of a forest. At first it was like any other, but these trees were slightly square in the trunk. Scowling he said "What the-" in confusion, he hadn't seen square trees before. In fact he never really cared all that much for the forests outside of the Land of Crows, for there were no need, and no grotesque monsters par the odd goblin or two.
"Welcome to Notchwood" announced Isabelle, coming to a stop with her hands on her hips, looking off into the dark distance amongst the trees they now faced before them. Even further behind one could see the top half of the Iringod Spires.

Though the others may not have been as accustom to it, travel was what she lived and breathed. And sure enough the time from the abandoned Inkwell to their current place had gone by with ease. While the others may have spent the night in odd ways or places, Adi did her normal thing, with it being warmer choosing to lay out and watch the stars as she went to sleep. They had happily avoided the search parties much to her relief.
Conversation was there, but not as much as Adi was used to, Gypsies were always talking about something. Her mind however didn't notice it much as she was thinking more about the voice that had sounded in her head back in the Inkwell, and speaking with the Prince of Crows. Who was a topic of thought in itself in Adi's opinion. There were times even that she spoke with the voice late at night while the fire burned down to coals. Still she had questions. When she wasn't deep in thought, she had her harp or flute out playing a little soft tune.
Which was exactly what she was doing then as they traveled, playing a soft melody on her engraved flute atop her horses back. When Isabelle announcement their arrival at the woods, and the Therian hidden location she stared up at the odd trees still softly playing.
Already on one adventure, this seemed like another one mixed in. Who knew her trip tot he Land of Crows would become so interesting.

Claudia Vesslia The traveling the this forbidden location was tedious for the moment part, but not all that terrible. The gypsy had ways of entertaining by playing soft melodies or dancing around sporadically. Her wound seemed to be healing effectively, but there were times when Adi advised her to sit on Croix so she didn't strain herself. Claudia listened obediently and was mostly slight for this adventure. If it was just her and Nyru, she would be talking constantly complaining about whatever nonsense came to mind. With the company, she couldn't demonstrate that kind of luxury because Isabelle would rip her a new one. She was sure the woman was equally as irritated, but the two said nothing out of sheer competition of who will crack first.
Days and nights they were on the road, camping in the most obscure areas. Nyru perched in a tree watching intently for movement, Adi building some sort of shelter, Isabelle gathering food, and her resting under the gypsies supervision. For the most part, the blonde felt helpless since she hadn't contributed but her time would come. Finally, after a few more hours of torture, the came to a squared trunk tree. It was the first time she laid her eyes on the deformities of nature. The sibling announced their location and she believed this the start of their journey.
"So...who wants to go in the creepy forest first?" She passed judgement sarcastically and sighed waiting for harsh feedback.

"Creepy" came an unfamilar, proud and loud voice of a rather 'proper' origin. "I think not" he sounded almost like he laughed at them, half as though they were most definitely wrong. Nyru panicked for a moment, clutching his sword and placing his feet in a firm stance ready to pounce. "Nyru!" scorned his sister as she gave him a glare and a half of disgust. Then a mystery man wearing a town coat and top hat walked from their side, where a few trees were initially blocking Nyru's view. He had an old fashioned moustache too, he didn't look scary at all... rather... un-equipped really. Though, this wasn't the Land of Crows anymore, it was rare for a minion of the Underworld, or even a goblin or similar creature of this world to cause any kind of trouble.
"Charles" greeted Isabelle, lending a short smile and a nod of her head, the gentleman doing the same as he said "Miss Statem". "Thank you for taking us in" explained Isabelle, a sense of relief in her tone "we've no where else to hide" "It's my pleasure to serve the Occult somewhat after everything you have done for us" he replied. He then looked to the others, looking rather.. unacquainted. "oh, sorry. This is Nyru, my brother. This is Rur'Adika... and beside my brother is Claudia, another royal guard of our late Declasia". As Nyru respectfully bowed to Charles, the man replied, looking to them all "I'm very sorry to hear your loss." Clearing his throat, he then said "Anyways... shall i... begin to show you the way?"

At Claudia's so well put however, sarcastic and amusing words, mid tune the gypsy snorted out her laughter. Which being that she was in the middle of playing her flute, resulted in actually sounding like a sputtering shrill of a sound. Still her shoulders garbed in her cream and fushia dress, shook with her laughter.
She never had the chance to say anything however, as a complete stranger's voice rang out. The tone offended however, sounding slightly polite at the same time proud. Jumping a bit out of surprise for being out in the open had made the Gypsy edgy never truly being on the run before. Turning about in her saddle however, one knee drawn over the horn the other resting in the stirrup; by appearances riding side saddle just because she could. Seeing the man though, dressed as a gentlemen however possible considered ordinary though good looking all the same.
He didn't appear threatening and Isabelle's quick snap at her brother and an introduction, Adi knew he wasn't a threat at all. As the other introduced themselves, she followed suit with a bend of the waist and nod of her head as a bow from her place in the saddle.
"We're in your debt Sir," she said smoothly. Adi at least felt that way, and it was the Gypsy way to repay every debt that came their way and respect the debt that is due and the person that holds it.
Straightening, she smiled warmly her flute in her hand now as she stared more openly at the strange forest they were to enter. "Please do Mr. Charles."

Claudia Vesslia The raven haired gypsy seemed to get a kick out of her joke because her snort interfered with her instrument's tune. The unfamiliar encounter wasn't to offended by it either. Nyru's reaction was to be excepted since the two of them basically couldn't trust anyone that randomly came along. Adi got ready to flee, but fortunately she stopped herself from taking desperate measures. To be honest, Claudia didn't have the capacity to pursue the woman if she had to stray away from their fortress of sanctity. The blonde was thoroughly surprised to see that the Therians weren't werewolves at all, but instead sophisticated dressed men.
Isabelle apologized for being a bother after she scorned Nyru for no reason in particular. The sibling introduced them one by one in order to relieve all acquaintances for later on. Besides, the man had every right to know whom exactly he was inviting into his territory. He also was very generous to give condolences for the loss of their queen Desclasia. Like the others, the archer bowed in respect as the man graciously invited them inside the eclipsed forest.

Since everyone was so polite, Charles had no problem escorting them through the forest. Beginning the short trek he walked ahead of them, Isabelle walking alongside him however. For some few minutes Nyru almost wondered why she seemed to close to him, walking almost shoulder to shoulder with some small talk here and there, him chuckling to her like she was playing him. Admiring the woods afterwards however, Charles got Nyru's attention when he spoke up and looked behind "I understand you're in quite the predicament. I understand completely, however, and hope you will all find our... temporary home... well enough for you to rest and decide what to do next"
At first Nyru didn't reply, but then he said "Thank you... How long have you and Isabelle known each other?". Isabelle thens poke up and said "we met last year, i was put on the team that aides the Therians" "Aides them, eh"Nyru commented, to which Charles replied "Exactly! Without your sister half of my problems would not have been fixed to this day". hm thought Nyru. Problems eh. He knew he shoudln't invade his sister's privacy, it just seemed she was getting a little close with this guy all of a sudden, it was simply a bit of sibling watch-out you could say.
A better question that Nyru would liek answered is less serious, he kept wondering when exactly he'd be seeing tall furry and teethy come out to play, you know.. the werewolf inside of him. He didn't seem very clawy... he seemed squidgy if anything.

Walking along in these strange woods, it did not escape Adi's notice the select words that Charles had used. 'Temporary Home' were words that she couldn't have missed even when distracted and she certainly wasn't. Neither could she pinpoint his tone, was it a passive snide remark on the Daywalkers kicking them out of their home, a prodding comment on their forced hiding? She couldn't be sure due to the fact that it did sound just simply polite and matter of fact.
Nyru spoke on their behave on thankfulness with the provided shelter. Adi watched as he quickly went into be the protective brother. It made the young gypsy smirk, and had to hold back a chuckle as he grew more skeptical and suspicious. Glancing at Claudia she looked to see if the archer had noticed and was as amused as she was.
With so many questions running around in her head, Adi wasn't sure which ones to ask first. Though asking about their appearance and such was an obvious one, or the lack of wolfish appearance that is, neither did she want to offend. So she settled for a question a little more easier and safe.
"Thank you again for taking us in like this, but I'm worried we might bring attention to your sanctuary. Isabelle didn't explain very well how you managed to stay hidden so long, is your forest well protected if attention is drawn here?" came Adi's question.
She never wanted to be a burden to any body and specially not here with their current situation.

Claudia Vesslia Charles invited them to partaking in a leisurely stroll through the woods and oddly enough no other "Werewolves" appeared. Although, the shaded tree provide shadow that the race could conceal themselves in around the clock. Nyru seemed preoccupied with his sister's rather intimate relationship and she claims to have known him for at least a year. That sounds like a convincing start, but her partner wanted the best for his family member. Claudia figured it was only fair that she didn't intervene with this ordeal, however, her and Adi were entertained by the shadowmancer's reactions. The blonde even bit her lip to force her from belting out an accident laugh. Mean while, the gypsy thanked the mustached savior for his hospitality and she did the same. "Yes, thanks for humbly accepting us."
Hopefully, their predicament wouldn't unpersuaded and abandon them out in the wilderness. She couldn't handle another ambush while continuing to be further exiled into the unknown outskirts of where ever. Adi thought ahead and asked if this fortress was protected properly from intruders. It must be because these people haven't been discovered for years so their shouldn't be any worry, correct? The woman trudged along staring at the ground and minding her own business.

Watching the different trees go by, Nyru found himself further confused as to how all of the tree's here were so cubey. Square shaped trunks? He shook it off when Adi brought up a very good question, Nyru couldn't believe that the Guildeam could so easily just miss unknown people making up a home in The Wilds. Charles took the moment to reply, looking behind him occasionally to let them know he was still talking to them. "When we arrived back in Occulas, the Occult was the first to know, predominantly because some of our corrupt men made it to Non-Magic Earth. The Occult got the information that they needed from them and found us, we explained, they accepted us. They gave us protection and invisibility wards" he said, then Isabelle added " but they only last so long, so sooner or later Charles is going to need a new home somehow make this place a lot... nicer..." she said, her voice tailing off. Nyru then spoke up "So where would you go if not here? And why hide from the Guildeam?" "Good question" Charles raised, looking ove rhis shoulder to him and the girls as he then suddenly stopped by a clearing in the trees, over the clearing of the canopy above them Nyru could even see the Iringod Spires in the far distance. Turning around to face them, he said "We hope to reclaim our home city and land, we only just learned that your people now own the lot of it. Now, don't get me wrong i understand the history that led your race to it is perhaps just as harsh as our own. Our ancestors left by their own decision. " "You mean you want the abandoned city to the south of the City of Crows?" "Exactly my boy! Therias City..." Charles seemed to be humbled, drifting off to his dreams and stories he knows of it. "The entire Land of Crows was once ours, we named it Therias, hence our name! Therians. Anyway, we're hiding from the Guildeam because we're the ones that went missing and have suddenly returned, why should they trust us? And why should we be allowed to reclaim some land? We need trust, connections. "

Hearing about the ward to keep them hidden and the protection the Occult provided, yes it would be fair amount of power to keep these people safe. Though the statement about that they wouldn't last forever, worried her. Adi was not familiar with such wards and that form of magic, but new most kinds had weakenss. If the people following them found enough reason and motive would they seek out this area and discover the wards? If that was the case, Adi was sure they would be more then happily charge in.
This worried Adi, but she said nothing about it.
Instead she listening to how Charles and his people were lining up connections and trust in order to move forward with the plan of reclaiming the abandoned city.
"I would like to see this city of your's once reclaimed...its my first visit to this land and it has been both eye opening and and far more exciting then I expected," Rur'Adika stated with a smile and chuckle.
The raven haired gypsy was eager more then ever to meet the rest of Charles people.

Claudia Vesslia Claudia observed the square configuration of the trees, the same as her partner because the two thought so much alike, and wondered if they had a specific function. Could they be hollowed out in order to harbor the race that resides here? What they call home was a different meaning entirely to the shadowmancer. Charles didn't remain silent for long as he further explained the history of how they became a great alliance to the Occult. The donation of protection seals is the enchanted source keeping this place obscured and of course the price is that they only last for a minimal amount of time. The Therians are currently in the market to find a new home, but what they so dearly long for is their city which is now the infamous Land of Crows. That was something the two were never taught in history especially since the city wants to be the pinnacle of glory in Magic Earth.
Adi wanted to stand by their side and reclaim the land that they desired, but the sophisticated male made it sound as if they were unworthy. To hell with their pitiful system, if the land is truly theirs then they should take it back by neutral agreement and if now then maybe war was necessary. The blonde archer believed firmly in the right to this society because they choose to retreat and lessen conflict for everyone. The girl gazed through the opening in the canopy at Iringod Spires before crossing her arms. "I think you should do whatever you feel is right, Charles. I'm with you no matter what you do." The encouragement and her assistance was all she could provide the man with in return for safe guarding them.

At the clearing Charles was happy to be hearing the girls' replied, they were both intrigued and on his side, perhaps they'll be able to help him one day convince the Guildeam. Smiling at Adi he then looked to Claudia and replied "I thank you". Meanwhile Isabelle had her arms on her hips, staring out at the clearing int he trees, it was a very large rounded area, there were even some signs of the trees being hit down in some places further off. Staring up she said "You've certainly made yourselves at home, haven't you?" "We've tried our best" Charles aid, turning around and admiring the nothingness too, chuckling. Nyru looked at Claudia and Adi, he wasn't sure how to feel, his eyebrows inverting as he shrugged and his voice stretched out to say "uhm... Izzy...". She twisted round with grace and cursed "Sorry, here", she pointed at them with her finger tip that glowed red and she create a rune in the air which rippled and vanished, at the same time Nyru saw his vision become impaired, it was like trying to strain your eyes to focus on something which was blurred on paper. "Don't try to hard, you'll hurt yourselves. Just relax and look at it for what it really is" she said. And then Nyru gasped and muttered "glamour....".
Before them was not an empty space at all, to Nyru's amazement there were actual buildgins, freshly made from timber, they had an old english cottage style to them, the roofs were made from the brakes of trees that still bore leaves. Empty lamps hung by doors and stood like posts where candles sat neatly within. A dirt path, dry and kept neat lead to the different buildings. There was even one tower made mainly out of timber scaffolding except for the very top which was like a hut that looked over the canopy. Looking back down though he began to hear people, talking and various other sounds of metal working. He then heard children, laughter and even some small pieces of music in the distance. What he saw before him was in fact a community, ordinary people walked across, some in armour, others not, many of them dressed properly and accordingly. Most of the workers were lifting timber and sawing it to finish a couple of the last remaining buildings.
"wow" was all Nyru could say, he certainly wasn't expecting that much to be concealed. He knew that the Occult were powerful, but he didn't realise they were just that good at what they did. "Impressed?" Isabelle asked, "We take pride in what we do best, Nyru. I would even go as far to say that we're better than the Conclave itself at keeping ourselves secret" she boasted, looking back upon the people.
Nyru knew she was half correct, but measuring the Occult with the Conclave... it was drastic. But truth be told, to conceal themselves they erected a giant shadow that concealed everything behind it, but no one could pass and everyone could see the shadow. But the Occult did this. Nyru felt like he couldn't trust anything now, but he loved it all the same, they managed to completely hide, under the Guildeam's nose, an entire small town.

Coming to a clearing she thought nothing of it, thinking it merely a feature within the woods. However, as they stopped and seeing Isabelle and Charles stop and stare...admire, when she saw nothing, there had to be something going on. Neither was she the only one confused fortunately Nyru spoke up and not Adi.
With the sudden change in perspective, she grew slightly dizzy and gripped Croix's reins and saddle a bit tighter as the moment passed. Eyes straining but directed not to, she gradually saw the clearing come into honest view. And it was no clearing, but a town...lively as any Gypsy caravan with its sounds of chatter, children and work. Homes and buildings built from what nature had given them, it was a natural, lively and care free community that the mere sight of it made Adi smile and think of home.
Sliding from her saddle, and her horses's reins held loosely in her hands, the dark haired Gypsy stared on as she slowly stepped closer. Civilized and cultured, these people were no barbarians or wild creatures; wolves they may be but they did not act like it.
"Beautiful...you have really made a home here, even if its not the one you want..." she breathed. Turning, Adi's smile wide and warm she turned to Charles and Isabelle. "Yes...I am very much impressed."
