Huff. Huff. Huff. Fwip. Fwip. Fwip. Huff.
"Brand! Estelle! Wait up!" the Dovaa called as he ran after their fluttering selves. He couldn't believe their incredible speed (or maybe he was just slow?) as they flew together, intertwining their flight patterns ever so beautifully into the forests of Aurinead.
The small group had just finished their trip throughout the capitol city of Serenia, it was there that the two Fae Dragons grew weary of the city goers and decided they belonged in the forests. They flew through the chilly air as Vyren Khoe, their self proclaimed "guardian", was forced to run as fast as he could in order to attempt to keep up. He wasn't doing so well and was becoming rather irritated by the "twins".
Soon enough, they were out of sight and all Vyren could do was stop, double over, and pant, trying to catch his wasted breath.
"Those damn dragons, where could they have gone?" the boy asked aloud, still panting and looking up at the sky, seeing nothing but falling snowflakes that were so delicate in the dry, frigid air.
"AARRRRAAA."
Vyren's head snapped in the direction of the scream. It had to be a dragon, a real life dragon; not one of those Fae Dragons, but a real, honest to the gods, dragon. Vyren crouched and looked around, trying to see where the screech came from.
He crept around some trees, finally seeing the object of his desire, a Ysali Dragon, calling out. Who knew why it was, but it had just given itself away and Vyren wouldn't let the opportunity to take down an unsuspecting dragon slip away. He slowly and carefully extracted his dagger from it's hilt and began to make his way closer towards the Ysali, hoping it wouldn't notice his presence.
A quick, "HIIYAHH!" and the boy dove atop the back of the small dragon, instantly wrapping his free arm around the neck and stabbing into it's chest to the best of his ability, over and over again, until the dragon's body fell limp to the ground. A rather cheap shot for a newbie; but it worked nevertheless.
The dragon's body disintegrated into dust, leaving behind nothing but a small, green orb that he would cherish for the rest of his days.381 Words
