Character name:

• Aureole Ettore

Link to journal AND/OR Quest Thread:

Dorm

Describe your character's personality in less than 30 words:

• Aureole is a good-humored, careless, leeching little monster. Peryton's are known for being very clever so her plans almost always follow through. Often taking a prize for her 'collection.'

Does your character have a ship/ OTP?

• Not yet but I could see her falling for someone with a brain for planning and tells good jokes!

Describe your character if they were a vegetable:

• Tomato; Very bright on the outside and you either like them or you don't. Some like them in a different way than others but on the inside, they can be a right mess.

What is your character's favourite music/ song/ piece?

• Keep Your Eyes Open By NEEDTOBREATHE

But mostly anything could catch her fancy as long as she enjoys the beat or holds a string of words that connects with her.

What is your character's hobby, if they had spare time?

• Aureole began dabbling in making jewelry with the many things she seems to hoard.

Is your character more arts, science, or sports inclined?

• She has a bit of a hidden strength for the arts with her making jewelry and sketching out the designs for them during her free time, if not sketching out any 'device' ideas for a few pranks.

What type of personality traits does your character gravitate towards?

• Someone patient, has a good sense of humor and would be the type of person to even think of plans of their own for Aureole to help them with!

What are your character's personality traits (Good ones?)

• Good under pressure, creative, positive outlook.

What are your character's personality flaws?

• Reckless, stubborn, manipulative.

What is your character's favourite colour?

• Blue.

Describe your character if they were in the opposite faction: (Horsemen -> Hunter, Hunter -> Halloween, Halloween -> Horsemen)

• Aureole would be a lazy but extremely clever horseman. Her schemes would be elaborate but she would rather have someone try before she did.

What would your character look like as the opposite gender OR 10 years into the future?

• Aureole as a male would probably look very-boyish, even with the aging. A grin always slapped across his face after completely a trick or two but then lazing about to 'gather his energy' for the next one. Cute face with a sloth-like attitude.

If your character was an Amityville Professor/ Divison Leader/ Horsemen Clans lead how would they teach others?

• Professor Ettore would teach her students the art of planning and scheming with a dash of adaptability teachings.

Who does your character look up to?

• Her father. For his lack of 'creative thinking', she admires his leadership.

What is a great weakness of your character?

• Being insensitive to others.

What are their favourite foods?

• Chocolate shakes!

Favourite fashion style?

• Loose, flowy fabrics; mainly skirts.

Favourite minipet?

• A minipet she lovingly keeps at her side that her father gave to her as a companion.

If your character was in a fantasy novel who would they be?

• She would be the supporting trickster character who learn to love others as time goes by~

Describe your character as a mythical creature:

• If she could, I think she'd be a phoenix. A bird rising from the ashes. Would make it easier for her if you plans did fail...

Describe your character as a Disney princess and/ or Villain

• Megera. Someone that does things for herself before finally knowing love and wanting to keep it no matter the cost.

If your character could travel anywhere where would they go?

• China. She has always wanted to visit the mountains and the beautiful country sides there.

If your character could confess one great secret what would they confess?

• That, despite her Peryton nature of wanting to return to their nature form, she kind of enjoys her current one.

Day 1
Friendship

The young Peryton wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth but...

"She will be your companion, Aureole."

The small winged child blinked up at her towering father before looking back down at the rather elegant looking... cat? Cat bird? She squatted down a bit to be at eye level with the creature. She tilted her head upon thinking if this small creature could keep up with her which she got a response of a few slow blinks before the cat bird bowed it's head to her.

"Ok but what is she? A cat bird? Is she kind of like us?" Both her father and the creature shook their heads.

Then it spoke...

"No, I am a Vaisel. I will aid you in what I can, Miss Ettore." A few more blinks from Aureole made the Vaisel sigh a bit. "Kind of like a cat bird, I am a dark phoenix Vaisel, miss."

A long pause stretched between the group.

"Can I pet you?"

"I would really rather you not, Miss."

"Hmm... Okay." The child help out a hand to the other. "Then I am Aureole."

If the Peryton child had learned anything that her father had truly wished had stayed in her head, it was to never embarrass him in the presence of another and to be polite in his company. For now, she would play nice and hope this Vaisel could help her. She looked wise so maybe her scheming could help when father wasn't around...

"Greetings, I am Raina." The creature placed it's paw in the outstretched hand, expression keeping it's stone-like appearance.

Oh, this would be fun.

"Ever since then you really have grown, Miss Ettore."

"Hmmm... I have, haven't I?" A pair of firey eyes peeked out and over the book she had been reading, lounging back more against the arm of the couch she and her long-time companion and friend had been reminiscing on.

"In height but you still have a lot to learn to become the lady your father wants you to be." Eyes narrowed at the Vaisel, the returning blank stare just making it worse.

"Yeah, yeah." The Peryton slunk back behind her book in a 'huff.'

Just enough cover for Raina to crack the smallest of smiles before curling up again on the opposite arm of the couch. It was a rough job to keep watch of this often spunky-winged girl but it was rewarding in it's own way.

Day 2
Treasure

"I know I set it down here, I'm sure of it!" Another object was chucked over her shoulders.

Not that her room hasn't already messy from her lack of attention to the details of putting things back where they were. But there were a very select very things of her that she always made sure to put it back in a specific place where she could find it again. And this was one of the most important of those things.

Aureole had been rummaging for so long that she failed to hear her companion, Raina, enter her room. "What have you lost this time, Miss? Your homework? A book? An earring?" The usual blank-stare following the Peryton around the room as she continued to tear about the room.

"No! I... Ugh, not here either!... No, I think... Damn! I lost something close to me!" This response wasn't as unusual as one would think since Aureole seem to hold a lot of items 'close to her.' And it was just as usual for her to lose them, accidentally of course.

"Another one of your feathers, Miss?"

"...No. Not mine, at least." Her motions slowed for a moment before picking up the pace again, if not a little more haste than before.

"Hmm? Possibly a classmates then? A friend? Or..." Oh... OH. The expressionless stare widened slightly upon realizing the fervent speed the girl in front of her. "Is it from her?" Aureole halted for a moment, her hand squeezing the shirt she was about to toss.

The frantic look drooping into something more saddened before smiling it away and continuing to search all about her room. "Yes, it was one of hers."

It didn't make it any better with knowing that the most precious thing to her she had lost. And it wasn't like she had just tossed it somewhere. Aureole must have tossed something to knock it from it's rightful place. Not exactly a great feeling and Raina, not used to expressing emotion could at least understand the distress her owner was having.

Aureole's doe ears twitched as she noticed shuffling from a different area of the room as she turned to see Raina moving things around. "It's probably not the best time to clean up my mess, Raina..." And the Peryton wasn't exactly in the mood to hear the Vaisel gripe about her lack of organization.

"...I am help, Miss Ettore." She stopped to look to Raina, watching as the Vaisel moved things about as best she could with her size and even went so far as she venture underneath her dresser. "And before you protest, it is one of my many jobs that I do to help as your companion." Aureole smiled at that, knowing that it was really Raina's way of showing their friendship.

"I see, thank you, Raina."

"Of course, Miss Ettore."

A comfortable silence rested over them before Raina made a small noise that caused an eyebrow to arch from the Peryton. "Did you find it?"

A few shuffling noises was the only response she got before the Vaisel, covered in dust, trotted over from behind the dresser, a large feather that had been attached to a chain to make a hair accessory hanging from her mouth. Aureole noticed she had made sure to carry the object from the chain as the feather was the most important of the piece. She was frozen in place as her friend set the hair accessory in her lap. The usually good-with-words Aureole would have expressed her gratitude in praise but she thought a nice hug would be sufficient. "Thank you so much, Raina!"

Needless to say that the Vaisel was completely surprised from the sudden contact and was okay with expressing it since her companions face was out of sight of seeing it. "... You... You're welcome, Miss Ettore..." A few blinks and Aureole set her companion back down before hastily putting the hair clip into her hair to blend with the top layer of her hair.

"There, better." Aureole beamed at herself in the mirror, happy to have the feather back in his rightful place on head.

"... You look much better with that feather and smile, Miss Ettore." The Peryton whirled around with a smile and nodded.

"I think so too. Thank you again, Raina." She laid a hand, gently atop her head before proceeding to leave the room. "I'm going to leave for a bit. I think I was in here a little too long today and I need to get out before I go a little crazy."

"Of course, Miss Ettore."

Day 3
Training

Even a top one of the mountains in Greece, the cool crisp air was a lovely morning greeting to the elder Peryton. Silvain Ettore, one of the many Elder Perytons and father to his rather excitable daughter, Aureole Ettore, greeted his morning with a breathe of air and a cup of tea acquired from below. If humans could to something right, it was to pick good tea leaves.

A puff a cold air blew from his nostrils as he gazed out at the land, grimacing at the inhabitants below. Making such a racket at this time of the morning!

Wait... That wasn't exactly coming from down below. The Peryton squinted before his dark grey ears twitched towards where the noise was coming from. Inside his fortress?

He crossed his room to gaze out and down into the cobblestone center to see a rather interesting and very surprising sight. His small-winged daughter, dawned in her regular blue training garbs, kicking a post that she had seemed to have dug a hasty hole to plant it into.

This was very unusual of his daughter. It normally took a great deal of convincing for his staff to get her to train or a sort of bribe from him. Unless one of his staff had gained a silver tongue, something else must have sparked her interest in doing such exercises.

Upon walking down to the lower level to observe his daughter a little closer distance, the young Peryton was wearing her most prized possession in her hair and it made the stoic face the Elder had been wearing to soften and went back up to his room to continue with the day's work.

If she was training with her mother at her side, what was he to try and ask.

Day 4
Moral

If Aureole could take something to heart that her father had taught her, it was a great lesson he, himself, had learned long, long ago.

"Child, remember, failure in anything you do is but a step towards victory. Learn from it and stride forward. Learn to not make the same mistake."

"... Does this mean that since I failed yesterday that I have to train harder?"

"Yes, train and move as you had to learn where you faltered and correct it to achieve victory." He rested his large hand a top his daughters head as she brought her crimson gaze to his.

"Yes, father."

Day 5
Love

She knew her father loved.

She knew the staff respected her, which she took as love in it's own way.

These were the types of love Aureole knew of but the love she had read in the books her mother had left behind for her to read as a child that the Peryton child had figured the woman would have wanted to read to her.

But fate wasn't that kind sometimes.

So the staff, mostly her maid, read them to her and she was curious about this fairy tale love. It was interesting but something that didn't seem to meet a priority. Nothing in her training at discussed this so it didn't seem to be all that important to her at the time.

Until she grew up more. Ahh, teenage years. They seemed to twitter her feathers at the thoughts of love. Something naive like the love in those books. It was an interesting notion.

Possibly something to use in a plan...

Father did always say to use all you had at your disposal, right?
