The Dream
The dream starts with a smile.
It was always faceless, unrecognizable who the smile belonged to, yet it was so comforting, secure, familiar -- he could feel himself smile back easily, a strange sense of belonging in his body, a feeling that was so rare for him that he longed for it. And suddenly lifted up by an invisible force, he stared up at the endless blue sky, waiting to be welcomed into its wide embrace, extending his arms towards the sky -- and he knew what was waiting for him up there was something he waited for all his life, whatever it was.
And with careless abandon, he closed his eyes, feeling the wind embrace him, feeling himself float up in the air and this perfect sense of bliss and excitement ran through his veins. He did now know why he felt this way but at that moment he was at peace, as if everything good was happening at the same time, as if everything bad in his life, all those worries and problems didn't happen, he was -- happy.
A cold gust of wind surrounded him, yet all he felt was the warmth that was radiating his whole body, opening his eyes slowly and seeing that limitless blue all around him. And he stayed there for a long time, gazing at the slow clouds that moved around him, the gentle touch of the wind to his cheek, the gentle morning sun that welcomed him -- home.
The dream always ended with that same smile, the same strong feeling in his chest that this feeling would last a lifetime -- and he truly believed it.

Darien "Dee", The Dreamer
Name: Darien Something tsomethigndgjfg
Age: 25
Appearance: Slightly wavy brown hair, long enough to tie into a little bun or ponytail at his nape,
has a little scruff here and there when he forgets to shave, but generally tries to keep himself
neat when he remembers. His skin is a little pale, has one eye a light green and the other a deep brown.
Occupation: Violinist
Personality:
INTP - Introverted intuitive Thinking Perceiving
He loves to share his music -- but at the same time doesn't like to perform. Actually a little rebellious,
has f* the law attitude. Doesn't really like a lot of responsibility.
He is actually nice and friendly amid his casual and shaggy exterior, but doesn't personally approach
people himself.
He is quite normal in his personality on good days, though people have pointed out that he needs to
smile more (which the response to that is a very sarcastic smile from his face). He suffers from a mild
case of bipolar disorder, having moments of extreme depression and euphoria. But mostly he has that
under control, taking prescription pills -- but easily quit on trying to see a psychiatrist about it, confident
that he could handle it himself.

Background:
Only child, father left him and his mother, he worked hard, passionate about music, bought a violin, mother got mad -- she worked hard, had to drop out of school to work and take care of her, she started drinking, she died, he refused to go to his remaining family who were far away from the state, was 18 anyway, was homeless for a while, taking tips and money from his street music, managed to get dinky apartment, did many odd jobs, still performing on streets, heard by a club, asked to perform there.

☻Met her once, she was kind, comforting--firm when I needed it. I really do feel like I can go to her if this spirit is troubling me. Hopefully she doesn't mind..

Dream Catcher --& Bound Catcher
Lasts 1 week, or until all requirements are met.
Set up your pet's journal. You will need at least a post for your Dreamer, Oneiroi, and the dream that attracted your pet.
Set up an RP with the old woman (crispywondermint) to show her the spirit you've caught.
Bound Catcher --& Spirit/Poltergeist
Lasts approximately 2 weeks if all requirements are completed early.
One journal entry about your dreams and/or your reaction to your meeting with the mysterious woman who gave you the dream catcher.
Spirit/Poltergeist –> Specter
Lasts an average of 3-4 weeks if all requirements completed early.
One journal entry about what changes your Dreamer is going through with this spirit. How do they feel about it? Does it creep them out, or do they feel safe? Does it feel like there's something watching them?
Update your dream/nightmare post to reflect these changes, since the dream/nightmare is getting more intense with each stage.
One rp with any other dreamer (must have started while pet was a spirit/poltergeist and not before)

Lasts at least 3 months if all requirements are completed early.
