Now obviously every story has a hero or heroine, but they don't always start out as such, and, in fact, very few of them have a history along the lines of this hero.

Danarius was raised among Keyblade wielders. From a young age, he has trained under masters to harness the power that such weapons grant, but, while those he trained under taught of the Light and Darkness and their belief that Light was the true path, Danarius always questioned. He never understood why the Darkness was a forced to be feared and hated.
Eventually his curiosity about the Darkness became so powerful that he began to seek it out in secret. He would search for people or beings that were close to the Darkness and try to study the ways of Darkness. These studies went on for nearly 2 years before he was discovered and cast out.
His masters believed him to be tainted and wanted nothing to do with him, despite a lack of any real threat to them. Danarius loved his teachers and friends, and even his ties to Darkness did little to sway that, but being cast out provided an opportunity he had been searching for. He eventually cast off his ties to his old home and threw himself into his research on the Darkness.
His efforts eventually led him to legends of Kingdom Hearts and its cage of Darkness. He knew from his masters that Kingdom Hearts was the heart of all, and it was frequently cast as the "True Light". However, Danarius had his doubts.
He had been thinking about the stability of the heart despite any exterior force upon it, and he was beginning to think that Darkness served just as key a role in the structure and foundation of a heart as Light did. He was starting to think that hearts were actually a precise balance of both Light and Darkness. However, he has no proof of this.
So he has decided to forgo his cloistered, scholarly life and set out to find a way to reach Kingdom Hearts. His search is to answer quite possibly the ultimate question. Is Kingdom Hearts Light, Darkness, or a balance of both?
