It had been November when Marlin as Falias first visited the Wonder from which he shared his name and he hadn't made another trip since. Then again he hadn't found much opportunity to patrol as his powered counterpart. There had been the sudden gaining of a new room mate in the form of his second cousin, a second cousin that he'd met by chance a few weeks after visiting his Wonder with Camelot, then there had been the run up to Christmas and New Year's followed by the January sale and the freezing cold weather, weather that Marlin severely doubted that even youma would want to be out in.
All in all, if it wasn't one thing then it was another and it was with a start that Marlin realised suddenly that February was gone and it was now March and early November was the last time when he'd last done any patrolling to speak off. It was something that he'd decided to rectify, slipping out after he'd shut up the shop for the night and powering-up into Falias.
It was almost eleven months since Camelot had saved him from a set of youma hounds and he was still a Page and still (to his mind) had the most useless 'weapon' ever. Since visiting his wonder with Camelot however, he now had another addition of sorts to the outfit, that was a lot warmer than the most of the senshi outfits that Falias had come across - a slender gold ring, that he'd found near the stone deep in the heart of the forest that seemed to make up his Wonder that the brown-haired man or was it spirit, given that the other was apparently supposedly his ancestor and the former Falias, had referred to as the Lia Fáil.
The night was shaping up to be a quiet one and Falias was wondering whether he should turn back for the evening when he picked up on the chaotic aura, it felt like a Negaverse aura and was it stronger than his.
Falias hesitated, not particularly keen to cross paths with a Nega-Captain, especially not given his track record with the forces of Chaos to date, although the strength of the aura negated it belonging to the a** Lieutenant with the very annoying baton who seemed to have nothing better to do than attack him on the occasions when their paths crossed, that was unless the other had ranked up or something in the interim, something Falias was hoping was really hoping wasn't the case - after all the damn baton was annoying enough.

She'd been pulling a self imposed doubletime on her quota- She was perpetually annoyed at how much commanding the Chaos in her starseed was like lassoing a mustang and then just holding on with heels dragging furrows. She hadn't come up with a good compromise between her understanding of circulation, the expression of qì, and the intrinsic wildness of what was happening to all of them as they were filled vessels that grew and needed the occasional upgrade of topping off. The focus draining on the sly required was a good challenge, and one that she'd not shown well at. The best medicine for failure was more polish through practice. She had a full pocket of orbs, though it had taken all the day, and was practicing her balance on the ledge edge of a roof when she first felt the order signature. Well, what have we here...It would be a shame not to investigate- she hadn't felt an enemy in too long. She righted herself from a walk-over handstand and darted on the hunt after the aura. It wasn't running away, at least. When she sight-confirmed her prey, she slowed to a walk and laughed as she approached. "On of the Merry Men from the convention. Well, love, it has been a while. What are you doing out and about? Don't you know things go bump day or night in this city?"

Falias stiffened when he heard the voice speak, acknowledging (if only to himself) that the Nega-Captain had been closer than he had thought. His green eyes narrowed slightly at the green and gold garbed Captain's words, although she wasn't the baton-wielding Lieutenant it didn't mean that he didn't recognise her all the same - after all it was hard to forget the face of someone who had chucked at a table at him on their last meeting. Given the table-throwing at their last encounter along with the way that she'd viciously attacked the maroon and white garbed eternal senshi, the cheerful sounding greeting was the last thing that Falias had expected, his eyes watching her warily, although his voice was even as he said "I rather doubt that you really consider me your love and it's rather hard to miss all the things going bump in the night or day." At least it wasn't if one knew where to look. Ivynian sorry Ivy, I'd hoped to tag back sooner than this

"Well, maybe not until I get to know you better, but one or two drinks fixes that, now doesn't it." She switched her walk to that used on fashion catwalks in her approach, stopping at conversational distance, "Why...are you interested?" "I usually at least like to know a name, before popping someone off." "Not usually shopping at the Ren Faire, but I might make an exception for a guy with your qualities. Maybe we could have you try a caber instead of a table next time. More impressive. " "But no tables or cabers here."

Falias gave the Captain a startled look at her comment about drinks. Was she actually being serious? And why was she being so conversational given that she'd chucked a table at him the last time that their paths had had the misfortune of crossing. He looked at her considering before eventually saying, voice neutral, "I think I'll pass on drinks." Even if the Captain was being serious rather than just trying to yank his chain, Falias couldn't really picture the two of them at a bar casually drinking beer (or whatever it was that the blonde Captain favoured). He also wasn't sure what to make of her 'caber' comment, but she also wasn't attacking him off bat either or making a move to summon her weapon which was something of a change and not one he was complaining about which is why despite the wariness he was feeling he held his ground, a slight frown on his face as he asked slightly puzzled "You want someone to hit you with a wooden pole?" Ivynian sorry for not tagging back sooner

We have not a slice, but a whole damn loaf of white bread here, folks. Schörl shifted to a contraposto, hand on her hip while the other rubbed her chin. "You really didn't follow that. " "Inneundo and euphemism. The caber means your Gigglestick. Rhythm rod." "Caught up?" "Pity about the drinks. So what are you doing out and in uniform? Hunting monsters to ash or break and save the masses?"

Talk about being cross-purposes. Falias had been picturing Scotland and the Disney film Brave but it seemed that the Nega-Captain had been referring to a party toy - at least he was assuming that by 'giggle stick' she was referring to the little plastic tubes that were supposed to make a giggle-like sound on being shaken rather than as a euphemism for something else. He shrugged mentally, "I'm not sure if I should be amused or insulted" he said. "And I'm not feeling particularly inclined to pick." He'd chalk it down instead to Nega-agents being pretty strange - at least the ones he seemed to keep encountering. Then he thought about Amethyst, who had come across as pretty normally and mentally amended 'the ones' to 'most of the ones'. "As to what I'm doing out? I'm keeping an eye out for trouble" well at least he was trying to. What trouble he was keeping out for was left open - Falias having been a Page long enough to learn that it wasn't just the youma he had to watch out for. Ivynian apologies again for taking so long with my tags lately

Schörl slow blinked. "You have the conversational interest of a set of Betamax instructions." And about as much applicability. No play, no back and forth. Just rote, obvious bullshit noncommittal. What am I supposed to do with that? Get bored and walk away, or decide you're so goddamn boring I can't suffer you to live and break your pointless face. He was so much more lively at the convention. "Well, boy-o, good luck with that. " The captain her hand, pointing fingers to the sky in a mock salute no where near her heart or forehead. She turned on her heel and started pacing away down the way, "You're wasting my time. See you next shindig with tables and bodies."

Falias might not have got the double meaning beneath the Nega-Captain's earlier words, but it was hard to miss the insult in her retort, especially linked as it was with the follow up comment that his presence was wasting her time. Falias frowned somewhat annoyed by that last statement given that she'd been the one to seek him out rather than the other way round, but she had already turned, was walking away down the street. He didn't follow, aware from prior experience with the youmacycle Captain of how poorly he was equipped to tangle with a Nega-Captain, instead he watched her for a few moments before turning and walking in the opposite direction. A reprieve was a reprieve, even if said reprieve was only for the night. Ivynian seemed like a good place to fin on
