Thane dipped his head down into the side of the stream, after having had to kick the ice away. It was thin, thankfully. He wished fervently the chill would leave soon. He had already begun to notice the days shortening, thankfully. He drank deeply, letting the morning air play silently, whipping his hair about.

The chill of the long lasting winter was making her so chilly. Especially since it was early morning and it was colder during the night. She got up and shook out her mane.Slowly opening her eyes again she looked around. There wasn't anything around her besides trees and brush.

Thane hated the burn of the water that hit his stomach. What he wouldn't give for a sun bath, he thought, starring up at the overcast skies. It would even be fun to fly in this, he thought glummly. Snorting, he decide to follow the river along the bend, wandering towards the south.

Starting off into a small trot,she was off to get a morning drink herself. She was so parched and the coldness of the water would be refreshing. Giving a soft sigh,she came into the clearing of the stream.She seen something dark against the snowwy ground.Who was it? She couldn't see clearly from that far away.She would have to get closer.

The snow did nothing for silence, surprisingly. It was difficult to be quiet when one was struggling to walk through foot high drifts. At least it was a good workout, he thought on the side. He could hear another approach. He felt these lands were silent enough, so he didn't bother turn his head up at the new comer who surely came for a drink like he had.

As Adelia approached the other.She blinked a couple times. "Thane?" She asked softly. Was that him? It had be quite a bit since they had last seen eachother. She awaited to see what he would say and if it was really him.He was the only stallion she seen that looked like he did.

Thane's ear's snapped back a second before he looked up. He hadn't expected to run into anyone here, at least anyone who actually knew his name. He smiled brightly immediately, happy to see her familiar face. "Hello Adelia." He turned then, his wings spreading like a greeting.

Adelia smiled and gave a bow to her head as well."How are you doing?" She bent her head down towards the water to take a small drink.Her face went sort of sour with how cold the water was. "Its been quite a bit."

Thane chuckled at her expression from the water. He felt quite the same. "It has, hasn't it?" He grinned his charming grin. "What have you been up to?" He asked, folding his wings back in, tilting his head curiously.

"Yes! I haven't been doing much of anything.Just roaming."She shrugged and looked back at him. She giggled as well when he laughed at her. "Very lonely but,i kind of liked being alone."

Thane's face screwed up at the idea of being alone. "I know the feeling." He sighed deeply. "I'm not used to being alone." He looked down, kicking a bit of snow. "Close family. Close friends. I can't say I like it that much." He looked up at her again, appraising eyes, snorting. "But I imagine why on earth you would have a reason to feel lonely. I'm sure you have pining admirers stalking your every move." He grinned again, humored by the probable happening.

"Admirers? No no never."She laughed,"Family is nice but i don't really have close friends." Adelia shrugged again and smiled."I don't have males flocking all over me for anything.They just wander by."

Thane gave her a look that read he didn't much believe that. "Humbleness must be a strong characteristic of you." He chuckled again, but meant what he said. Cocking his head again, he continued. "If I wasn't sure you had someone at home, I would have offered up my chance to court you, Miss Adelia." His eyes gleamed, "In a heartbeat."

Adelia gave a face that she was surprised. "I would be honored."She said softly and gave soft eyes.She would adore someone to love on her and give her confidence. More than she already had of course. "Perfect."

Thane's eyes widened. "So you don't have a man waiting for you?" Thane's smile began to spread farther wide, not letting himself actually believe she was available just yet.

"Of course not." She said softly. "I mated with a male to give him the gift of him only children. But no male waiting at home." Adelia nodded. "If I was mated,I'd sure have the feathers in my hair to proove it."She laughed.

Thane felt the heat rush up to his cheeks, warming his wind-bit face. "F-feathers?" He was a male and males can be perverted. His immediate thoughts were far less knightly, (for instance, how did the feathers get there?) imagining his blue feather place in Adelia's hair, her wide smile and her belly swollen with the greatest gift anyone mare would ever bestow him. But he had reservations. Of course, first the children. And secondly, ensuring himself he was no in fact stealing from another. All of this thoughts rushed through his mind before he shook them out quickly. He was so far ahead of himself it wasn't even funny. He grinned, a little nervously and blinked a few times.

"Feathers to proove to other males that I have a male.Of course I don't have anyone i'm talking to either and i certainly don't have any feathers as you can see. Besides the one but my mother gave that one to me."She said softly and watched him get all nervous."Why?" Adelia got a little blushy herself. She wasn't talking to any males nor interested in anyone,so she was certainly free."I was doing him a favor.He wasn't going be able to have any children besides the one time and I was willing to give. It might have not been the 'love scene' I wanted.But I was happy to help someone."

Thane felt a well of happiness as her reassuring words. She was surrogating. "What happened to the foals?" He pushed, smiling a little to himself.

"I have my baby boy and he has my baby girl." She nodded and smiled."I haven't heard from them but I know they're both okay."

Thane's eyebrows rose, not sure how we could handle not seeing his daughter. Or sharing in their growing up and maturing and--he stopped his train of thought. It wasn't his business what she or anyone else did with their little ones. If it worked out for them, well then great. He, of course, wanted to ensure he wasn't going to infringe on her son's wellbeing. Would he accept another stallion courting his mother? He couldn't possibly know. "Oh? But your son doesn't travel with you anymore?"

"He does.But he is off traveling his own.I don't mind because I know he knows how to hide if there is any danger." She did think about her daughter,but they had their own life and Adelia and Malaki had their own. That's how it was. Of course if she mated with another and they didn't work,she would be open for her children to see their father.

Thane nodded, feeling his mind race. He was getting too far ahead of himself, he knew it. It needed to stop, but the questions kept coming. "One last thing." He smiled shyly, feeling her gave seem to quell his confidence. "Would you ever... ever be open to living else where? More, permanently?" He felt ashamed, bombarding her with questions like this.

"Of course. I live with my mother,which still lives with her father.My mother is so much more gorgeous than myself.She deserves a lot."Adelia was curious about why he was asking all these questions,but she wouldn't question it. "We are a family that still lives with eacother,I wouldn't mind opening myself up to some place new."

Thane felt a spike of pleasure pierce his chest, against his better judgment. He hadn't even offered to take her on a moonlight walk! But he begin to think, that maybe running into each other... was more than chance. "Well, Miss Adelia." His confidence was back, encouraged by his excitement. "Please, if you would, allow me to see you again. Soon?"

Adelia loved adventuring,so she would be open to go anywhere and everywhere she could.She typically stayed around her home area,but maybe something could change that."Of course. Mr. Thane." Giggles softly and tosses her mane. "I would be more than greatful to see you."

Thane's grin spread, as a puff of air blew from his chest. "I can meet you here, tonight then? This very spot?" He eyed the river, noting a rock formation as it's shore. It would be easy to pick this spot out later, and hopfully the moon will shine brighter than this dreary over cast.

Adelia looked over to where he nodded."Is there anything special that I need to bring?"She asked softly.She'd probably bring a couple small snacks...not sure what they'd be doing but she wasn't worried about it."I'd be here.Silly."

Thane hadn't even fully formed what they could do. She couldn't fly. Uhm. It was too cold for a swim. Maybe star gaze? He would have to figure something out in the mean time. "I'm not too sure yet." He chuckled. "We can just wing this one, then." He winked, feeling the stress about what the heck was doing.

It was really too cold out to do very much of anything. The winter was the worst time for this."Yes we will."She laughed."I guess I'll be back later to meet you?Just as the sun is about to set?"She asked in a little bit of an excited voice.Malaki might be excited for her as well since she was finding someone besides his father.

Thane nodded fervently, feeling his excitement fill his limbs with a buzz and energy. He'll need to work out in the mean time to blow off this jazz, he thought. Also wouldn't hurt to beef his muscles up, he noted with a slight grin. "I'll see you here miss Adelia." Thane winked and took a step back. He had forgotten he had been walking along the river. His foot slipped in and splashed his body with what felt like ice sickles stabbing him. With a jump, he hopped into the snow to the side. Embarrassed he backed away--more carefully--grinning at Adelia. "I'll see you soon, then."
