Spring Painting Contest This last Thursday, the guild cracked 150,000 cumulative posts! So to celebrate, I'm hosting a Spring Painting contest, with 150,000 gold for first place! How to Enter Entries must all be works in progress! Take it as a motivator to get another unit done for your army! wink Entries may be entered in any condition, as long as it is not the completed project. To enter, post in this thread with the text "I want to enter!" and a photo of your starter including your written username, see conditions above. This entry can be any unit from any miniature wargame: Warmachine, 40k, WHFB, Bolt Action, etc. This is your entry. Your final submission should consist of between one and five photos of the final completed unit. Try to get an overall photo of all models in the unit, and then take photos featuring particular details which you think are the best like a cool conversion and painted fine-details. Both entries and submissions are accepted anytime from now until 1 May. Submit by posting in this thread. From 2 May until 15 May, I will accept judging sheets (to be released at a later date). There are two categories: Single Model Unit and Multi Model Unit; these categories will be judged separately. You may make as many entries submissions as you would like, but you are only eligible for one prize. Seeing as there are no limits and the Knights are still one to two weeks out, I'll start off with something smaller:  Sentinel with custom pilot, bought today, box is still in shrink wrap and whatnot. Starting tomorrow. edit. Spent some of the morning building the model and splitting it into a few sub-assemblies: Cockpit, base, legs and pilot.

I don't want to get disqualified due to a technicality, so... I want to enter! I know that it's a big galaxy, but does anyone know the Guardsmen in my model? If so, please send my condolences to their families.    I'm probably going to go back and touch up the green stuff. I did what I could to get the height up to roughly the Deceiver, but I still fell short and it looks all kinds of messy. Urgh... I really need to up my game with the green stuff if I'm going to have a shot at this. ~Oci out.

The greenstuff is perhaps a bit too chunky to represent the guts of the poor man, but I like your conversion a lot! emotion_yatta

Thanks! That's not supposed to be guts there; when I paint it up, it's supposed to look ectoplasmy...ish...esque... as the C'tan passes through him. However, it is indeed too chunky for anything. I'm going to need to get out the files and craft knives and shapedthat sucker into something that looks like something other than tumors.

I got a set of these ages ago to mold greenstuff and they work wonders. Dirt cheap at $10 for the whole pack, case included.
