*Name: Rhys Illinichina Morrison

*Age: 18

*Sexuality: Bisexual

*Relationships: None

*Family: Edward Morrison(Father), Alisa Morrison(Mother), and various relatives

*Why'd you join the Scouting Legion: To kill. Rhys is very proficient at what he does, so he wants to loan his skill where it will be most used. Killing is his business, and business is good, after all. His motives are simple...revenge, desire, hatred, and everything that makes a person wrong in life became his meaning. Killing became his solace and his release...so why not keep killing? It verifies that he is still alive. Somewhere deep within him, however, beats the heart of a person who truly cares for those alongside him. He joined to kill Titans, but stays to protect others.

*Personality: For being as neurotic as he is about killing Titans, speaking to Rhys reveals a remarkably soft interior as opposed to his frozen exterior. He's shy around people he likes, and meek around people he doesn't know. He doesn't speak often, but when he does he normally doesn't say much and gets straight to the point. He's brutally honest and doesn't like beating around the bush when it comes to telling somebody something, but he will keep secrets if they are in his best interest or those of people he cares about. His meekness results in him never taking the credit for a job well done or a kill made, and he'll simply push the praise on to another to avoid getting any at all.

While Rhys is mainly in to a darker aspect of life, he enjoys soft and quiet things, similar to himself. He doesn't think that people need to think so much, and often that relaxation is a key weapon to victory. He'll push his comrades to their limits and normally their breaking point in hopes that they will accompany him to the end. He also has a way of spreading sadness, as he often laments the fact that he will eventually die for somebody else's sake, or screams in the middle of the night out of fear. It's difficult to tell, but when he initiates combat, he seems to become more violent than usual, and the deeper he gets in to battle, the higher the chance that he will cry. He doesn't like doing it in front of people, but the memories haunting him cause him to cry during combat, if silently.

While Rhys seems cool and collected a majority of the time, he is one of the few people that can't seem to shake their fear save for the most extraordinary of cases. His breathing quickens, and his body shakes, but even then he displays an astounding amount of skill and control. He doesn't remark on his fear, and he deflects the question most of the time if people ask him about it. He will sometimes make the off-hand remark about what he wants to die for when the time finally comes. He dearly wishes to live and die both for a person he cares for. Surprisingly, he exhibits warmth and compassion otherwise not displayed when he is surrounded by people he has befriended. His naturally soft nature makes for a poor hardened killer, but he does get the job done with some reluctance at times.

Rhys has an apathetic, or even bleak depending on the situation, outlook on the futility of his own life and the efforts of others. He doesn't pretend to have enough belief in his comrades, or even himself for that matter. Although nobody can really discern it, Rhys keeps everybody away by amplifying that dark cloud called hopelessness...and he mostly does it for their own good. He knows that one day there's a chance he won't be fast enough, strong enough, or smart enough to carry his team, and if he ends up dead he'll only end up hurting everybody. Due to his realistic outlook on the world, he no longer has the same bright eyes he did in her childhood. His eyes are always half-closed, and he refuses to smile...even if he does, it ends up looking a lot like a pained grimace. As such, he keeps the name Exile, and distances himself from others for no other reason than his fear.

He obtained the name Tracer from another personality trait that he claims isn't all too unique to him. Rhys may not have been the smartest person in the world, but he does have enough knowledge to "trace" a route before he follows it. He calls it thinking ahead, and thinking about all the possible outcomes of a situation. Rhys doesn't believe in "heartfelt effort" or anything that falls in to that category, but he does instead believe in planning for the worst. He also takes that "tracing" trait in to battle with him, which actually earned him that name from his youth. He assumed his friend's movements as they had a friendly bout, and through intensive planning and assumptions based off previous encounters, he was able to down his friend easily. From then on, his friends simply began to call him "Tracer" when he took on that serious expression he gets when she's deep in thought.

In truth, Rhys tries to avoid conversation or saying anything about himself at all. He doesn't want people to know much about her or to be close to him. He feels that losing anybody would be too painful, and even with his personality traits, he doesn't know if it'd be possible to carry on if he lost a dear friend. He's afraid of leading an empty life when his entire being is based on the people who stand with him. That fear is one of the things that gives him the courage to keep fighting, but like with all of his fears, he never shows anybody what he's feeling.

Aside from his apathy and tendency to think far too much, he has other personality traits which make him a bit more human that he wants to be. Rhys can't help but fall asleep many times across a single day, but even then when somebody tries to disturb him he'll claim he was still working. Sometimes that's true since Rhys moves around in his sleep, often thrashing about, sitting straight up, or walking around as if he's awake. He's embarrassed by how much he sleeps, but refuses to actually comment on why he seems so tired all the time. He can be pleasant when he desires to, and he feels on a higher degree than most people, but it embarrasses him to even think about showing more than his worst side to people. After all, to survive in a violent world, you need to be just as violent as the world that created you. That means he's not beyond sacrifice, but of what is debatable...

*Likes: Rhys doesn't like anything in particular. He considers himself a practical individual, and will take practical gifts while discarding useless ones. He has a sweet tooth, however, and will take candies or sweet foods without a second thought.

*Dislikes: Rhys has nothing that he really dislikes beyond his enemies. He dislikes appearing weak, however, and as such...refuses to swim. He doesn't have the ability to swim, although he knows how and can teach, he can't do it himself without assistance.

*Bio:
Rhys was raised in a very unique home, with very unique values. His family always knew that death was unavoidable, so they prepared every day for when their inevitable ends would come. Each child that was born was taught to become a weapon of mass destruction that would pave the way for future generations, even if it meant they would fall on their own swords and spill their own blood to do so. Rhys was the latest of this great bloodline, and with a long family history and powerful blood flowing through his veins, he was expected to shoulder burdens no other person should have to. From his birth he was informed of exactly how he would die, and from the moment he was old enough to walk, he was trained to become a weapon.

From an early age, even before he was conscripted, Rhys had understood what it took to kill a Titan, and what values he should carry with him as he did so. For a time, he was considered the hope of a brighter future, but there was one problem. Rhys was the second born son of Edward "Edge" Morrison, so the first son was being ignored in favor of Rhys. The two began a fierce rivalry for their family's affection, and eventually the botherly competition became cold hatred. Rhys and Vincent ploted each others downfall, and fought on a daily basis. Ironic that they fought for who would have the honor of dying for humanity.

And so the two brothers decided they would challenge destiny, take a hold of fate, and see once and for all who would be the savior that had been cried out for. The two brothers challenged each other to a race, and a foot-race at that, around Titan territory. It was a secret affair, and both brothers knew the risks, but their strive for greatness blinded them both to the very real danger awaiting them. They dashed their way through huge monsters, easily evading them for how human they were, but their luck was only momentary. When Rhys noticed that Vincent couldn't keep pace, he made the mistake of turning around to see his brother stepped on. Rock from the ground got blasted up in a show of blood and bone, ripping at Rhys' face and leaving permanent scars as a reminder. He saw his brother explode in front of him, and soon it sunk in that he'd be next.

He was young at the time, and doesn't remember what transpired after that. He was withdrawn for some time, and grew up with PTSD from a young age. Every night he had nightmares of being ripped apart, stepped on, or eaten by Titans because he had witnessed his brother's death. The worst part was he soon developed survivor's guilt, knowing for a fact that if he hadn't challenged his brother to that foolish race the both of them would've still been okay. His brother would've been alive, and the world could've gone on or died for all Rhys cared. After hating his brother for so long, he finally began to feel the effects of losing somebody dear to him. He became withdrawn, hating himself and the world every day...wondering how he would take back what was his. He knew his brother would never come back. He knew that he could never bring him back. Rhys' hatred was directed elsewhere. He would use his hate where it would be best.

He took his training with Edge more seriously, and studied up on practical combat applications of normal engagement techniques, but by throwing himself in to his work he sacrificed his normal life. He lamented the fact, but laughed at the morbid depressing turns his life had taken by that point. All he had left was his training, and all he could give was his assurance that he would kill what were viewed as veritable gods until the day he met the same fate as his brother. He had nothing left that he considered worth living for, and eventually the distance became enough so that he disregarded his entire family in favor of his work. In an almost neurotic way, he studied and practiced and bled and sweat for a chance to offer his life.

He worked his way up, showing that his skill far surpassed those of a normal person given that speed and agile movements were paramount to their business, but he was shown to have to generally swipe twice or more to kill a Titan on a normal basis instead of once like much stronger or bigger people. When the time came, he willingly offered himself to the Scouting Legion in hopes that they would have some use for him. He refused to remain on the back-lines and cower, and instead, would become a vanguard to prevent any further damages. It was almost as if he were in a dream...he would live out his brother's wishes as well as his father's, but at the price of his life. He didn't mind it, though. There was nothing for him anyway. This was life.
