Rules & Schedule

Every Day - Including Restdays
Weyrlingshave a basic daily list of duties they are expected to undergo, but otherwise their day is generally their own to do as they please. That said, the following are tasks that Weyrlings are expected to undergo daily.

• Dragonets should be fed, and oiled. Bathing should be done at least every other day during the process of their major growth, though is not 100% required.
• The Weyrlingmaster should be greeted every morning for general assessment of the dragonet to prevent avoidable issues in the dragonets development. The exact time frame will depend on the Weyrlingmaster in question; some are early risers and some are not.
• All Weyrlings should be back within the Barracks by a respectable hour, or let their Weyrlingmaster know where they will be located for the night.
• By the third month, dragonets will be sleeping outside the Barracks, in hallows along the walls or on the roof.
• Depending on the Weyrlingmaster, Weyrlings will have lessons as per they are instructed. Lessons are outlined in detail below. Some Weyrlingmasters are stricter, with classes several times a week. Some are more relaxed, with less classes and more 'homework' assigned tasks. If a PC Weyrlingmaster is not assigned, assume they teach 2 lessons a week for 3-4 hours. These classes cannot be missed.

Rules
• Don't talk back, listen: The Weyrlingmaster has been there, done that, and knows what he is talking about. Weyrlings are expected to show respect, shut their mouths, and listen to what he has to say. His dragon will be more than capable of reading their minds, and will likely do so with little to no knowledge of the Weyrling - or his dragon - when needed. Weyrlings should be prepared for their Weyrlingmaster to know exactly what is going on, at all times, regardless of whether he is present or not.
• No Drugs: Drug usage is serverely frowned upon, particularly when used by dragonriders. Weyrling usage of drugs is heavily monitored, to be no more than those which are allowed by a healer for medical reasons. All individuals are expected to sober up during their candidacy time, and obtaining drugs post Impression is nigh impossible for most Weyrlings. Those suffering withdrawal symptoms are handled delicately by the Healer team on a case by case basis.
• Alcohol Restrictions: Alcohol is expected to be removed from the diet of Weyrlings for the duration of the first 3 to 4 months after Impression. After that initial period, alcohol may once more be consumed depending on the age of the Weyrling, though Weyrlings are expected to be understanding of their dragonet, and receptive to the young dragon's limits. Those who are unable to monitor their own usage will have their right to drink removed by their Weyrlingmaster on a case by case basis.
• Intimacy Restrictions: Intimacy between a Weyrling and a fellow Weyrling, or a Weyrling and anyone else is strictly prohibited for the first 3-4 months and dependent on age. After the first 3-4 month period - depending on individual dragonets - sexual activities may be added to the Weyrlings life once more, though their choice in partners is mildly monitored.

Hatching Day
The first few days

The first 7 days or so will mostly be spent;
• Bathing, oiling and feeding the dragonet.
• Showing off the dragonet to friends, family and the weyr at large
• Dragonets will eat very small meals, 5-9 times a day, depending on the dragonet's size and stomach capacity.
• Newly bonded humans are encouraged to sleep at any opportunity presented to them. Any.
• Dragonets are incapable of 'volume control' - therefore they short-range broadcast to both humans and dragons within their immediate area. About 85% of the human population can easily pick up on the thoughts of a dragonet; dragons have to actively ignore hatchling conversations.

Lesson Topics
• Basic First Aid; simple reminders of candidacy lessons to avoid hurting, damaging or killing a dragonet.
• Dragon Anatomy; more brush-up information from candidacy lessons
• Oiling: facts and fiction; more brush-up from candidacy.

Month Two
Day 31 through Day 60

The second month will be spent
• Bathing, oiling and feeding the dragonet, generally in that order.
• Dragonets meals will be cutting back to just 4-5 a day.
• Dragonets will develop a firmer grasp of night sleeping, and daytime awareness, allowing for a more regular sleep pattern in both themselves and their bonded (and the Weyrlingmaster)
• Dragonets are beginning to develop volume control; however, strong emotions still cause them to be 'loud' and easily heard.
• Young riders-to-be are encouraged to partake in morning jogs or daily swimming.

Lesson Topics
• Mind Speaking; how to stop talking out loud. Most Weyrlings pick this up quickly.
• "You time" and "dragonet time" - it's okay to be away from the dragonet.
• More on dragon Anatomy
