So I was just walking around on pokemon Y...
And I get a 'Nice!' From some random kid.
That's okay, yes yes, thanks for the complement...
But then he asked to trade and had a froakie named 'Shinys?'
I showed him my shiny umbreon and he had ANOTHER froakie named 'IWANTIT'
And he showed me a shiny graveller.
In what world is a shiny graveller worth a shiny umbreon?

Haha, as I was reading your post, I was like "SHE BETTER NOT HAVE MADE THAT TRADE!" XD
I accidentally hatched a shiny Absol today while I was breeding one in a moon ball for someone ^^ <3333
Edit: And now I just hatched a shiny Ralts in a moon ball while breeding for that same person! Why can't I get this lucky when I'm actually trying to breed shinies?!?!?! XD

I have still never come across a shiny( exceptions made to the gyardos at the lake of rage because it was a gimme, and the one from the odd egg in pokemon crystal cause though it was little 1/10 chance....it was also a gimme basically.) pokemon. I'm slightly curious why people are so obsessed with them. I mean, yeah, shiny pokemon look awesome from time to time, however.........I have to wonder....is there really a reason why people are obsessed with it? Or is it one of those, "It's a shiny, I must has. PrecioussSSSssss."

I have a shiny Darmanitan in Black2. It's the only shiny I've ever come across, and I started out playing Pokemon Blue on an original Gameboy.

Gold: Ursaring
Diamond: Roselia, Golbat
White: Basculin-B
Y: Tentacool
I've been playing for as long as Tabi, by the way.
