Meeting Newgrange absolutely sealed the deal for her that White Moon just kind of tossed you out there, no safety net more often than not. While she enjoyed being a senshi, able to power up and fight the bad guys, she really didn't know much about the bad guys! Or she thought she didn't. Apparently the dark mirror senshi weren't bad. The Negaverse were bad, but the Dark Mirror Court seemed to be more.... everything she was looking for.

She was on top of a beam under a bridge tonight, where she felt some odd energy coming from. Why she felt it coming from here, Machholz had two guesses. A youma, for starters, probably a sewer rat looking one? It would make sens, or maybe it was a Negaverse. Either way, it was a powerful energy like she hadn't felt before. The White Moon senshi was trying to get her head in the game, trying to concentrate on pinpointing where this energy signature was coming from and just how strong it was. While fighting wasn't something the poison senshi did well, yet, she was definitely better than when she started. She could actually throw a punch and make it hurt, same with a kick. The magic she used, that poison gas attack felt like it was getting stronger as well.

She breathed in the cold, winter air of Destiny City and wrinkled her nose. It wasn't exactly fresh, where she was. It stunk like garbage and other unmentionable things. "Ugh..."

At least he wouldn't be alone in suffering the rotten stench of winter in Destiny City. That much was a relief for General Buddingtonite, even if that company would come in the form of a White Moon senshi.

The night started out routine enough, which likely meant that something big was going to happen, but Buddingtonite wasn't too bothered by it. When he had received his promotion from Zinkenite, he knew that his new energy signature would either chase away the competition, or lure them in, and given the upgrade in strength, speed, bladed weapon and even more dapper uniform, he felt as though he could handle most of what his enemy could throw at him. Of course, he still was more inclined to chat his way out of a mess if it got messy, but at least now he could throw his boomerang and people died from it. That was certainly a relief and made going on mundane patrols all the less stressful.

Even when he felt the tingling of a nearby senshi, he felt little fear or apprehension. Disgust, maybe, though that had more to do with the god-awful stench that seemed to plague the city every winter. No, this senshi didn't feel too strong, and it didn't seem familiar to him, so likely a new face for him. Which was just fine for Buddingtonite- new face, new possible recruit, another medal to add to his uniform. And if the little tart said no, then he knew exactly what he'd do.

Yes, Buddingtonite felt like he had this whole encounter figured out, so as foolish as it might have been, he approached the energy aura with little concern. This brought him to a bridge, and the rose-clad general wasted little time in calling out to the senshi when he could not immediately find him or her. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long, senshi. Won't you come out and give me a warm welcome, or are you frozen in your spot? I wouldn't mind digging you out if you ask nicely..."

She sighed and rubbed over her face again, not really realizing how close that negative energy was to her. Machholz continued to perch in the thick, stinking air that was assaulting every sense she had. She felt so dirty in this air. She could literally feel the partials of disgusting air soaking into her hair and clothes. There was grime on her boots. Machholz had to fight down her gag reflex as it snapped her out of her thoughts in time to cough hard and groan.

This was the nastiest thing she'd ever done, and all she was doing was sitting here, waiting for something to happen or morning to come. Too lost in the thoughts of feeling less a part of something than ever, the Senshi of Poison's head snapped to ook down at the general under her, brows knitting. She thought she'd been well concealed and yet he was under the spot she was. Directly under. "Frick!" came a fevered exclamation, scrambling a bit to keep herself balanced. Frick, fricking frick! He felt really strong compared to everyone she'd fought thus far, but felt like that woman in a purple military uniform. This one.. he...

She slipped and fell off the beam, landing on her backside gracelessly, into the grimy mud below. Machholz got to her feet, sliding just a tad (you think an ice skater would have better balance) and just got into a defensive position, fists up, eyes narrowing at him.

"The only thing you'll be digging is your own grave, I'm afraid."

He even sounded menacing.

The senshi might not have realized it, but he was just as startled as she was that they had managed to get so close to one another without seeing the other, the only difference was that Buddingtonite was fortunate enough to have both of his booted feet planted firmly on the ground and thus had a good anchor to stop him from falling on his butt, and surprisingly enough he held onto himself before he could jump in alarm when the words 'frick' were uttered loudly above him. He looked up and saw her come crashing down, and if her goal was to legitimately scare the living Christ out of him, than she pulled it off perfectly! "Christ!"

He jumped back even when there was no need to as she had landed a fair distance away from him, but given the environment around them and the whole 'enemy' thing going on, one could never be too careful, and Buddingtonite was quick to withdraw his bouquet of death in self defense. She had yet to strike against him and with a fall like that it wasn't immediately available to her, but the rose-cladded general wasn't going to take that chance. By the time she was back of her feet and jumped into a defensive position, though, most of Buddingtonite's fear had passed and was replaced with humor, and his snicker would have certainly gotten under his own skin if the roles were reversed. "Oh, nice comeback... much better than your landing. Going to take a wild guess and just assume you're not the Senshi of Grace or Cats... maybe you're the senshi of Dirty Uniforms, or Hilarious Landings?"

He was certain that any chance of just talking to this one was thrown out the window, given her stance and their exchange of words, so he held little guilt in reeling back his weapon and throwing it at her, not aiming for any body part in general and using it mostly as a distraction so that he could charge at her. If he could not corrupt her, then he had no choice but to kill, right?

She'd watched him kind of dumb struck before she could get to her feet. Well, at least he was just as scared of her falling off the beam she'd been perched on as she was. Her fists still raised, she looked the General over and just narrowed her pale eyes at the sarcasm that seeped from him. Why did she always meet the cute guys while she was graceless? ...Or a Senshi, at this point, but whatever.

"I'm Sailor Mahholz, Senshi of Poison, and you're going to meet your end toda, Nega-scum!" Banter? Not this Senshi's thing. She wasn't particularly witty or eloquent in her words, more bubbly and straight to the point, when she was in her civilian form. Swallowing back the fear that was threatening to make her flee, the White Moon Senshi just waited, feeling the high amount of bad energy he gave up. She wasn't messing around with some low level Nega person, no. He was... higher than Ertythrite had been. A higher level, way stronger. The beating of her heart caused her face to flush in worry. The knot and butterflies in her stomach she got before every battle were so painful and her legs started shaking.

And all this was before he summoned his weapon and hurled it at her. She let out a yelp and tried to doge, the odd looking boomerang as it came towards her, only to be caught in the side and arm by two out of three of the blades. She didn't scream, but she did let out a pained moan as she did her best to and on her feet, clutching her injured arm to her stomach, blood staining her uniform already.

Her feet spread apart and she shook her head, focusing all her attention for the moment on that feeling inside of her. "Hazardous Gas," she muttered, drawing a breath and breathing it out, arms extending. A bright green fog like gas formed around Buddington. Hopefully this attack would deter him enough that she could gain a better vantage point. From there she would only pray she could best him in hand to hand combat.

Buddingtonite was no stranger to dirty words or insults, though he had to commend her for her creativity. Nega-scum? That was new to him. This one was a saucy little tart and if they had not been engaged in combat, he may have found himself investigating the opportunity to lure her into a more relaxing situation. Alas, words and now weapons had hit the air and the notion was gone, and he put the name Machholz to memory as he let his bladed boomerang hit his mark. Not as deadly as the last time he sent the weapon flying, but enough to leave its mark and that was just fine with the general. At least now she'll take the situation a little more seriously, he thought to himself as he charged towards her to follow up on the attack while the boomerang whirled around and made its return flight.

This time, he was going for something simple, such as a back hand to her face or maybe a punch to the gut, but he wasn't quite prepared for the blast of bright green fog to hit him right in the face, and just like that, any momentum he had built up in his strike came to an abrupt halt, as though he had hit a brick wall. It wasn't a painful attack, but he could almost feel bile rising in his throat as he sucked in what he guessed was an entire lung's worth of that noxious gas, and he let out a gag, practically scrambling to escape its grasp though it was clearly too late to do him much good. "AUGH, what IS it with you senshi and your... ugh... magic?!"

It didn't stink as bad as he was expecting it to, but it definitely did the trick in stopping his attack. The general coughed and gagged, trying to resist the effects of the magic but to no avail. Even with his recent promotion, it seemed as though he was still susceptible to magic, and between his irregular breathing and his inability to fight off the dizzy spell, he was afraid to admit that he had lost track of both the senshi, and his boomerang, clearly NOT a position he wanted to be in! "Where did you *cough* go?"

Thank whatever God was out there that he had succubmed to the affects, because Machholz used this time to high tail it to higher ground again. She didn't jump back onto the beam, but she did go under the bridge and used the raised ground as a cover. It was dark and she hoped he wouldn't find her there. Coughing a little herself, the Poison senshi hissed as she put a hand to her side where she'd been hit, whimpering a bit.

That bladed boomerang was bad. She wasn't fast enough yet to dodge it all the way. Even the techniques Damocles had taught her weren't going to help. They worked on hand to hand combat and not long ranged, pointy sharp weapon combat! The white haired senshi stayed as quit as she could, putting pressure on the bleeding wound. It wasn't life threatening, but it would definitely scar. This Nega meant business and Machholz was finding out the hard way just how outmatched she was with this. Swallowing thickly, she peeked out, looking for the red head in the fog of poison and narrowed her eyes.

Please run away, please run away.

Buddingtonite wasn't sure when the green fog would clear and instead he focused on getting out of it, as opposed to standing there like a fool. Just because he was a general, he was not impervious to such magic, much to his own dismay, and by the time he backed out of the noxious gas, he couldn't see the senshi at all! Part of him immediately thought to panic- panicking when you couldn't see your opponent was always an acceptable response, he told himself, looking around with a sense of apprehension in his crimson eyes. "Uh oh, where did you go, senshi?! It's not nice to just up and disappear like that!"

There was a hint of confusion and panic in his voice, though it did not last long. He had have found his way out of the gas, but he was still feeling the effects, albeit lingering by now. His head hurt a little and there was still a moment of dizziness when he moved his head back and forth too fast, but he seemed to be breathing better now. He just needed a moment to clear his head, and just his luck that his bouquet of death would decide to return back to him now. He had a second's warning, hearing the sound of the blades cutting through air, and he gave a yelp, ducking as quickly as he could and just barely grabbing the weapon in mid-air. He gave a triumphant chuckle, before glancing at the blood that coated the blade and remembering that there was a senshi of Poison on the loose nearby.

"Are we playing a game?" Buddingtonite called out to her, taking a moment to whip the blood from his weapon before deciding to engage in the hunt. In truth, it would have been easy to find her- blood from her wound would have given away her position, as well as the aura her body unknowingly gave off. However, then it wouldn't have been fun, would it? He took a few steps forward, slow and steady, both in preparation for the lingering effects of her spell, as well as to give her the impression that he couldn't find her. He wanted to make lure her out... then he'd strike her down. Yes, it felt so good to be the hunter again, he told himself, as he called out again. "Because I'd love to show you the Negaverse version? Hide and go shriek!"

From the looks of things, he hadn't found her yet, hadn't picked up where she was. Swallowing a bit more, she looked at the blood on her hands and took a deep breath, slowly crawling out of her hiding spot, keeping low. Standing up was a bad idea.

Being careful was something that was key here. Careful, quiet.. She had to think about things rationally otherwise she would end up dying here. She took a deep breath, steadying her nerves when she first started sprider-crawling his direction, giving him wide berth so she could get behind him. All that covered her was what was left of her magic gas. Hopefully it lasted long enough.

Listening to him talk, Machholz's chest started thumping with her heart and she winced at his pun. No, she would definitely shriek if she got cut with that boomerang again. Keeping herself hidden (she hoped), the Order senshi moved slowly around, trying to get behind him. When she thought she was behind him without him knowing, the girl jumped up and aimed a punch straight for the back his head, grunting a bit as she did, probably giving away her position.

He wasn't sure what to expect from his little game- in his tenure in the Negaverse, he hadn't usually been able to practice the whole 'stalking a hiding senshi and gutting them' technique as more of his encounters were either sweet talking his way out of a conflict or being the one that was stalked or chased away. Now that he had reached that safety net that general rank offered him, though, he found so many new opportunities, so many opened doors, and he had every intention of peeping inside every single one.

Or he would have today, had she not have thrown that terrible green fog in his face and almost caused him to lose his hat to his own boomerang. He could have spent more time playing around with her, but with the effects of her spell finally beginning to wear off and a taste of the power and authority he actually held now made him a little impatient. At least, he'd feel better knowing where the little poison tart was...

"You know, as much as I enjoy playing games, Machholz, games are only fun when you're winning," Buddingtonite said, calling out to her and taking a moment to try and pinpoint her exact location. She could have been trying to run away for all he knew and she might have gotten a fair distance away by now- what could would this encounter do if he didn't come out with her starseed? He was expecting her to be hiding, or running... but NOT that she'd be directly behind him, and he spun around, whatever he was going to say was cut off with her fist hit his jaw at full force, a loud CRACK resonating in the air as he flew backwards. "GOTCH-AAAAUGH!"

She hadn't expected the connection, not really. Machholz had thought he would doge, magically know where she was, and just do some stupid little flourishy flip out of the way and she would have her dinner of dirt. But that's not what happened, surprisingly.

That cracking had been skin on skin and the sound of her wrist giving up completely, snapping in more than one place, which caused her to scream out in pain as he flew backwards. Tears sprang to her eyes and then down her cheeks as she somehow managed to turn herself so she wouldn't fall over completely, skidding back from the force of the attack with a harsh sound of heels on packed ground.

Broken. Definitely broken. She couldn't move it without pain, which put her at a huge disadvantage because that was her dominate hand. Even as she cradled her broken wrist to her chest, Macholz started scrambling backwards, not knowing how long he would take to recover, and honestly? She didn't want anymore pain. The cuts and now this was already too much for the senshi who was only used to scrapes and bruises. "No, no, no.." Her voice was raspy as she spoke, trying to scramble away, only to trip over a rock and land face first, effectively crushing her broken wrist under her own body. Another shriek of pain tore through her as she rolled over to her back, trying to get up with the other hand. It was proving no easy task when she was terrified and her head swimming with pain.

Buddingtonite's fall was not as graceful as he might have wanted it to be, though considering the wallop he found himself to be on the receiving end of, none could have truly expected it out of him, right? He fell onto back, his backside and coat mingling with the mud for a moment, and he was pretty damn surprised that he was still conscious after such a blow. Conscious, yes, but barely functioning. He had no idea what kind of damage the senshi had done to her wrist, as all he could think about was the blow to his face and the pain in his jaw. When he opened his eyes, the world spun in circles and so long as it spun around and around, Buddingtonite remained grounded, waiting out the ride and eagerly waiting to crawl out of the merry-go-round. "Stop... the spinning... wanna get off..."

He could hear what sounded like her cry of pain and her scrambling, and that worked as a pretty good anchor in pulling the Negaverse general out of his daze. It wasn't really a sturdy anchor and the port entry was slow, but by the time Buddingtonite had managed to pull himself into a wobbly kneeling position, the world's spinning had decreased considerably, and he could clearly see the damage done to her wrist.

"Heh... must have been a new upgrade for my rank... jaw of steel?" Buddingtonite pushed his tongue against his teeth and was surprised that she hadn't managed to knock any of his teeth out, but a hand to his jaw was so, so painful, causing him to wince in mid-laugh and let out a pained hiss. Oh, it hurt, but no where near the pain she was probably feeling in her wrist, and that was perfect in fueling Buddingtonite's slow rise, grabbing his bladed boomerang and moving towards her. "You know, it's going to swell... you could have struck me anywhere... anywhere else! My neck, my chest, you could have even kicked me in the jewels and I wouldn't have cared..."

The world spun for a moment and it paused his advance, forcing him to hold himself up with one hand on his knee and the other lifting the boomerang, letting her know that he was going to send it forward again. The glare in his crimson eyes was fierce, as he glared at her and shouted, taking aim as best as he could with his weapon and letting it fly towards her again. "But... you hit... MY FACE!"

As his world spun, hers was threatening to go black. Her wrist was causing her so much pain coupled with the still bleeding wounds to her arm and side. Her stomach lurched as she tried to not throw up whatever it was she ate last. Machholz slowly tried to get to her feet again and managed to do so before she heard Buddington say something about wanting to get off. It confused her and she tried to steady herself on her feet as well as steady her breathing and try to block out the pain. There was a lot going on with her right now.

And then he sounded beyond pissed. The Senshi tensed up and just watched in horror as his boomerang came towards her. With a stifled whimper, Machholz barely managed to snap herself out of her own daze to dodge that bladed boomerang again. She didn't quite make it. The tips of the blades caught her right across her face, and blood bloomed and splattered like flowers that were being picked up on the wind. Another shriek left her as she stumbled backwards, eyes closed. The tears stung the fresh wound and she ended up falling backwards this time. Machholz tried to catch herself, using her broken wrist and her not broken one. Bad idea. Massively bad idea.

The edges of her vision started blackening again, and it was starting getting more and more black. She was going to pass out. Her body could't take any more pain. She didn't even know if anyone would find her but she couldn't hold onto consciousness anymore. The last thing she remembered was thinking 'This is the end.'

He let out an annoyed spat as the boomerang left its mark on her face, as he was clearly aiming for the spot in between her eyes on the skull. The spinning world disease that her punch had caused seemed to throw off his groove, though the sight of blood splashing from the impact and her falling to the ground was enough to quell some of that anger. The way she fell and didn't immediately jump back up gave him the impression that he'd get the chance to correct that mistake, though he made sure to wait until the weapon had completely returned to his hand before making his approach. Just in case she had the brilliant idea of playing dead and hitting him with that attack of hers, he told himself...

But when he was within arms reach of her, it was clear that she was in no condition to fight anymore, and despite the ungodly amount of pain it caused him to smile, he wore it without shame, resting his bloodied weapon over his shoulder and kneeling down to get a closer look at her. She was a rather pretty one, though maybe borderline too young for him, though a lot of that beauty was tarnished by the blood that coated that pretty little face of her. He brushed away some of her starlit hair to get a better look at it and openly winced, tsking as he moved his other hand towards her chest. "You know, maybe I overreacted a little, because I'm sure you'll wear that mark for your entire life. Or... would, if I wasn't planning on sparing you from such a horrid fate. Better dead than scarred, right?"

At least, that's how he felt about the matter. Scars may have been attractive on others, but not for him. He could not stand the thought of bearing such a mark on himself, especially with it being out in the open. The shame and humiliation that came with scars and being presented for everyone to see? No, the very thought only reinforced his desire to end her life. To him, this was a mercy killing!

However, his hand never made it to her chest before he felt approaching Order aura in the distance. It was strong, perhaps on equal levels as him, and for all of his eagerness to fight this one, he was quick to scoff at the notion of fighting for much longer. He couldn't see them yet, which meant they had not seen him, though they certainly felt him as they were making a bee line towards his location. "Unfortunately for you, seems you're stuck with that ugly mark for the rest of your life. Or not. Cake on enough make-up and no one will ever know! Either way, not my problem. Auf Wiedersehen, Machholz!"

He tipped his hat to her and teleported as far away from the scene as possible. He was certain someone would be angry that he never finished the job, but he already had a swollen jaw... that was enough punishment for one night!
